This document summarizes a USQ learning and teaching showcase event featuring workshops and panels on implementing immersive and virtual experiences in online education. The event included presentations from various USQ staff on their use of technologies like 360 video, VR, and augmented reality in nursing, engineering, and other disciplines. Panels discussed measuring the impact of these tools and their role during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the potential for a virtual USQ campus going forward utilizing their HIVE (Hub for Immersive and Virtual Experiences).

Assessing the benefits of Blended Learning in Higher Education.
Recent research from the Office for Students (OfS) highlighted the positive aspects of blended learning in higher education. In their 2022 report, OfS stated 79% of UK university students were satisfied with blended learning. Furthermore, the combination of in-person and online teaching and learning in higher education enables flexibility in physical attendance and allows greater accessibility for students. This supports students who have caring responsibilities and those in need of reasonable adjustments where exclusive physical or virtual attendance may adversely impact them. Blended learning has been further identified as a new way of bridging the gap in the higher education system by engaging better with underrepresented students.
However, OfS found that 1 in 5 students in 2022 reported dissatisfaction with blended learning. One reason for dissatisfaction is the worry of ‘content overload’ on some courses where some students reported receiving more content online than is manageable within the working week. The overloading risks reduction in course quality and student satisfaction that should be at the heart of students journeys in higher education. This highlights the need for conversations around blended learning to understand the ways it can be improved to better support both staff and students.
Assessing the Benefits of Blended Learning in Higher Education brings together key stakeholders in higher education to learn how to deliver blended learning to maximise the benefit for students and staff and create a more productive, inclusive, and fair environment.

Although educators and leaders create, design, and imagine the future, technology is changing how students learn and teachers teach. The future of education must keep up to date with the dynamic nature of the 21st century. It is expedient to take stock of the past in order to look forward, imagine and plan for a better future. Today, we take a look at education and how social, economic, and technological changes will revolutionize the way children, youth, and adults go to school. The future of education lies in harnessing technology to make us learn quicker, memorize effectively, and teach better. Without doubts, education today is not what it was even five years ago, and the future of education will look significantly different than it did a decade ago. This paper addresses how higher education institutions and K 12 schools can best prepare students for the future. Matthew N. O. Sadiku | Grace A. Adegoye | Abayomi Ajayi-Majebi | Sarhan M. June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

Editor's Notes
Bio NOTES: I have been nursing since I completed hospital training in 1989. Since that time I have had a diverse career covering paediatrics, operating theatre, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal and liver transplants and intensive care. Early in my career I saw the need for nurses to qualify with a tertiary education so I undertook one of the first bridging (from general nursing certificate to bachelor) degrees, in Qld. Since then I have completed post grad qualifications in ICU nursing where I spent 14 years honing my critical care skills. In 2006 I decided to try studying something different so I completed a Bachelor of Laws degree. I worked in the industry for a short time but missed nursing a lot so I came back. I discovered that I had a passion for education and sharing my knowledge with those wishing to become RNs. I started teaching nursing in July 2012 and I haven't looked back since. I completed a Master of Nursing majoring in Clinical Education so that I could be good at my job. It is my greatest joy to see new graduate nurses embarking on their own nursing journey and knowing that I had a small part to play in helping them achieve that goal. I am now in conducting research on the use of augmented & virtual reality in nurse education, looking at the academic's view of using such technology, as I work to obtain my PhD. I love studying and learning and I hope that I can instill a lifelong passion for learning in all those I teach.
