Using augmented and virtual reality technologies in real estate sales offices. See how you can utilize augmented reality and virtual reality to sell new development projects faster.
PixelGrand brings Interactive Visualisation, VR and blends them with compelling storytelling to showcase your real estate projects. Here's GL Kumar's presentation from Digital Success for Real Estate event in Kolkata.
The client, Legal & General, wanted to showcase the transformation of Bracknell Town Centre using cutting-edge technology. Vuframe developed three interactive digital products - a Digital Brochure, Sales Companion app, and Live experience - to promote the project through mobile apps, touch tables, and events. The products provided an immersive experience of the development and were used for marketing, educating residents, and attracting visitors and media at events. The integrated apps followed users through the sales process from initial discovery to finalizing sales.
How ar vr bring changes in real estate industrysuptidas
Virtual and augmented reality technologies are increasingly being used in the real estate industry in several ways: (1) VR property showcases allow potential buyers to visually tour properties from anywhere using VR headsets, (2) AR apps provide buyers with property details and neighborhood information during in-person tours, (3) Interior designers can visualize and test home designs and furnishings virtually before implementation. These immersive technologies provide cost savings, convenience, and an enhanced customer experience for real estate marketing and development.
Virtual reality has the potential to transform architecture and design by allowing clients to experience proposed designs in an immersive virtual environment. It can be used throughout the design process, from initial mock-ups to finalizing details. By using VR, architects can more effectively communicate their visions and gain client buy-in with realistic virtual walkthroughs. This helps reduce rounds of revisions and gives clients a better understanding of how the final building will function in real-world scenarios. While VR equipment has an initial cost, applications can also be developed for smartphones, lowering the barrier to using the technology in architectural presentations and collaboration.
HOW VIRTUAL REALITY WILL REVOLUTIONISE REAL ESTATE MARKETINGBrooke Smith
Virtual Reality (VR) has been a buzzword in the Australian real estate industry for long, but unfortunately only a few realise its true potential even today. A lack of knowledge has caused a lot of scepticism and doubts over whether this technology is actually the future of real estate marketing or not. We often hear people ask – “well, it’s a great technology, but is it cost-effective?” They are sceptical even before they do the research to find out the ROI that VR can produce. Or they will say – “at the end of the day, it’s virtual, it’s not reality after all”.
1. The document discusses various virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality technologies and their applications in architecture.
2. VR allows clients to visualize and interact with digital designs in an immersive way, helping convey ideas more effectively than traditional methods.
3. AR enhances user experience by overlaying virtual objects onto real environments. It has lower costs than VR since it uses existing hardware.

Virtual reality tours created using 360-degree cameras allow potential home buyers to view properties remotely through an immersive VR experience. AR and VR technologies are also being used in real estate to showcase properties, conduct virtual bike tours of neighborhoods, provide property information through mobile AR apps, design home interiors virtually, aid architectural design and construction planning, and capture building dimensions to create floor plans. These immersive technologies reduce costs and iterations compared to traditional methods, and are becoming standard tools in real estate marketing, development, and related industries.
As the industry strives toward immersive VR experiences, we are guided by the extreme requirements associated with intuitive interactions, visual quality, and sound quality, in order to achieve the ultimate mobile VR experience. Precise, low-latency motion tracking of head movements is crucial for intuitive interactions with the virtual world, and visual-inertial odometry (VIO) is the ideal complementary subsystem to achieve this goal. VIO allows for six-degrees of freedom (6 DoF) in VR experiences, reduces latency, and cuts the cord. In this presentation, you will learn about:
• The enhanced user experiences that 6 DoF provides over 3 DoF
• The evolution of motion tracking
• How Qualcomm’s on-device VIO implementation provides a precise head pose at a high frequency yet at low latency and power
• The impact of 6 DoF on VR content development

Dandelion Hashtable: beyond billion requests per second on a commodity serverAntonios Katsarakis
This slide deck presents DLHT, a concurrent in-memory hashtable. Despite efforts to optimize hashtables, that go as far as sacrificing core functionality, state-of-the-art designs still incur multiple memory accesses per request and block request processing in three cases. First, most hashtables block while waiting for data to be retrieved from memory. Second, open-addressing designs, which represent the current state-of-the-art, either cannot free index slots on deletes or must block all requests to do so. Third, index resizes block every request until all objects are copied to the new index. Defying folklore wisdom, DLHT forgoes open-addressing and adopts a fully-featured and memory-aware closed-addressing design based on bounded cache-line-chaining. This design offers lock-free index operations and deletes that free slots instantly, (2) completes most requests with a single memory access, (3) utilizes software prefetching to hide memory latencies, and (4) employs a novel non-blocking and parallel resizing. In a commodity server and a memory-resident workload, DLHT surpasses 1.6B requests per second and provides 3.5x (12x) the throughput of the state-of-the-art closed-addressing (open-addressing) resizable hashtable on Gets (Deletes).
