The detainee is assessed to have ties to anti-coalition movement leaders in Afghanistan and resisted capture for over an hour by firing weapons and throwing grenades at U.S. and Afghan forces. He is not known to have directly attacked U.S. or coalition forces, but is assessed to possibly still pose a threat.
