Analysis of Direct Torque Control of Industrial Drives using Zone-Shifting SVMIJPEDS-IAES
Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor has gained popularity in industrial applications mainly due to its simple control structure from its first introduction in 1986. Here the direct torque control (DTC) of induction motor with zone shifting space vector modulation (SVM) has been done. It uses a simple phase current re-construction algorithm for three phase induction motor (IM). The phase current re-construction algorithm is done by using information from the current that is from the phases between the inverter and the induction motor. The proposed algorithm is robust and very simple. It uses the AC current to get the stator current for estimating the motor flux and the electromagnetic torque. By evaluating through the torque value and the current the controlling of induction motor is done. The simulation results are also given which supports the direct torque control strategy of the induction motor (IM).

This paper presents simulation of Direct Torque Control (DTC) of Induction Motor using Space
Vector Modulation (SVM). Direct Torque Control is a control strategy used for high performance torque
control of Induction Motor. This SVM based DTC technique reduces torque ripple and improves torque

simulation done in the paper shows improvement in flux and torque. These results verifies the merits of
DTC- SVM over conventional Direct Torque Control technique.
The control of motor rotation speed by the change of resistor resistance value in armature circuit is called ‘resistor control”. For the regulation of resistance value R0, included in armature winding circuit, we can use various technical solutions. The most used solution is the discrete variation of armature added resistance value by shunting its parts with contactors contacts. Nowadays, the change of resistor resistance in armature circuit can be realized by shunting with a given porosity γ of resistor R0 trough electronic keys. In this paper, we study the design of control system represented on figure 1.

The Nine-Switch Inverter(NSI) is a recently developed dual output converter. It can be used to drive two three-phase loads independently. As a substitute to two separate conventional voltage source inverters, the NSI has been, already, proposed in various industrial applications to reduce the numberof semiconductor switches and its associated energy losses and drive circuitry. On the other hand, the Direct Torque Control(DTC) is a robust control scheme of AC motors, which consist of selecting proper state vectors of a conventional voltage source inverter. The NSI, having a different working principle from the conventional voltage source inverter and taking into account the varying influence of active space vectors on motor’s torque and stator flux, a Direct Torque Control is suggested in this paper to, efficiently, drive two induction motors independently, while minimizing the torque and stator flux ripples of both motors. Simulations results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. In addition, application of this newly proposed control scheme in operation of an Electric Vehicule (EV) is demonstrated.
Direct Torque Control (DTC) of Induction Motor drive has quick torque response without complex orientation transformation and inner loop current control. DTC has some drawbacks, such as the torque and flux ripple. The control scheme performance relies on the accurate selection of the switching voltage vector. This proposed simple structured neural network based new identification method for flux position estimation, sector selection and stator voltage vector selection for induction motors using direct torque control (DTC) method. The ANN based speed controller has been introduced to achieve good dynamic performance of induction motor drive. The Levenberg-Marquardt back-propagation technique has been used to train the neural network. Proposed simple structured network facilitates a short training and processing times. The stator flux is estimated by using the modified integration with amplitude limiter algorithms to overcome drawbacks of pure integrator. The conventional flux position estimator, sector selector and stator voltage vector selector based modified direct torque control (MDTC) scheme compared with the proposed scheme and the results are validated through both by simulation and experimentation.

Stability Analysis of DC-link Voltage Control on Autonomous Micro Hydro Power...IAES-IJPEDS
Micro Hydro Power Plant has become one of the interesting topics to be researched nowadays. This paper deals with the stability analysis on control system of excitation voltage in Micro Hydro Power Plant. The control of this voltage can be achieved by controlling the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) with particular algorithm so the voltage on the DC-link part of the system can be controlled. Without knowing the exact specification of system parameters, the system will be most likely unstable. The DC-link control system is modeled, simulated, and mathematically analyzed so the parameter specification for the stable system can be obtained.
The aim of this paper is to prove that fuzzy logic algorithm is a suitable control technique for fast processes such as electrical machines. This theory has been experimented on different kinds of electrical machines such as stepping motors, dc motors and induction machines (with 6 phases) and the experimental results show that the proposed fuzzy logic algorithm is the most suitable control technique for electrical machines since this algorithm is not time consuming and it is also robust between plant parameters variations.

Fuzzy controlled dtc fed by a four switch inverter for induction motoreSAT Journals
Abstract
Direct Torque Control of induction motor fed drives has become popular and widely used in industries due to fast and good
torque response. Induction motors (IM) are simple in construction and are less sensitive to the motor parameters compared to
other vector control methods. The conventional DTC is based on flux and torque hysteresis controllers. Induction motor is fed
from a Four Switch Inverter generating the voltage vectors of the Six Switch Inverter by reconfiguration. Applying the most
optimized voltage vector that produce fastest dynamic torque response during transient states. Fuzzy logic concept is a most
efficient artificial integilence method which has high application in electric motor drives. A method to achieve fastest dynamic
performance by modifying the two leg inverter fed DTC of induction motor based on Fuzzy Logic Concept is used here. This paper
presents a rule-based fuzzy logic controller scheme designed and applied for the speed control of an induction motor fed from a
four switch three phase inverter emulating the six switch three phase inverter. Due to the usage of the Fuzzy logic concept, the
reliability, efficiency and performance of ac drive increases. Initial torque peak and torque ripple are minimized in the four switch
three phase inverter based DTC using Fuzzy Logic.

DTC Scheme for a Four-Switch Inverter-Fed PMBLDC Motor Emulating the Six-Swit...IJRST Journal
The paper deals with the direct torque control (DTC) of brushless DC (BLDC) motor drives fed by four-switch three phase inverters (FSTPI) rather than six-switch inverters (SSTPI) in conventional drives. For any three phase inverter require six switches, but these switches are reduced to four. This reduction of power switches from six to four improves the reliability of the inverter, size of the inverter is reduced and cost of the inverter is also reduces. The FSTPI could be regarded as a reconfigured topology of the SSTPI in case of a switch/leg failure which represents a crucial reliability benefit for many applications especially in electric and hybrid propulsion systems. The DTC of FSTPI-fed BLDC motor drives is treated considering two strategies, such as: 1) DTC-1: a strategy inspired from the one intended to SSTPI-fed BLDC motor drives; 2) DTC-2: a strategy that considers a dedicated vector selection subtable in order to independently control the torques developed by the phases connected to the FSTPI legs during their simultaneous conduction. The operational principle of the four-switch BLDC motor drive and the developed control scheme are theoretically analyzed and the performance is demonstrated by simulation.
In this article, we are interested in the improvement of the performances of Doubly Fed Induction Machine (DFIM) operating in motor mode by the use of the direct torque control (DTC). Firstly, we focused on the modeling of the DFIM and the study of the principle of functioning of the DTC control. Then, we implement this control on the Matlab/Simulink environment. Secondly, we present the simulation results of the proposed control. The analysis of these results shows clearly that the system based on the DFIM studied follows perfectly the set points, what allowed us to justify the efficiency of the elaborate control.

This review paper is based on space vector based hysteresis current control in three phase PWM converter. In hysteresis current control technique, two, three or four level hysteresis comparator are used, which selects the appropriate inverter output voltage vectors by their switching phenomenon of vector based HCC, and it is used to control the current vector by keeping the current error vector in tolerance region. Through which the load gets desirable output current voltage. By keeping the zero phase difference between output current and voltage, acquires a high power factor by HCC voltage vector and this HCC voltage vector have some advantages over conventional HCC which are not to have interphase dependency and also maintaining constant modulation frequency or also reducing switching frequency. By this HCC, increase the system steady state performance and reducing dynamic response.
Implementation of Fan6982 Single Phase Apfc with Analog ControllerIJRESJOURNAL
ABSTRACT:Active power factor orrection technique can improve the input power factor and reduce the harmonic component of the input current. In small power applications, the single-phase active power factor correction circuit of high frequency switching (APFC), reduction of the boost inductance decreases the boost inductor and filter capacitor volume, reducing the net side current ripple, improve efficiency. On the basis of describing the principle of single-phase single-stage boost APFC double closed loop control, a new duty cycle compensation method is proposed, which is based on the FAN6982 simulation and the single phase APFC of the rated output power 500W is achieved. The results show that the effect of current ripple rejection is obvious, and the input current is consistent with the input voltage phase.

The Photovoltaic standalone system is gaining its high importance mostly for rural application like pv water pumping, solar lighting, battery charging etc.Considering environmental effects and scarcity of fossil fuel the trend has developed towards the use of more and more renewable energy. In this paper a basic circuit of boost converter is designed in MATLAB/Simulink with constant dc source voltage. However a comparative study has also been done for the converter connected with pv system directly with the converter connected with mppt tracking technique. Perturb and Observance (P&O) algorithm is implemented for providing the necessary duty pulse and makes the system operate at maximum power point. The boost converter connected with PV system without mppt operates at any other point other then the maximum power point and hence the output voltage decreases. But with mppt the proposed system performs better.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

1. INTRODUCTION
Since the rectifier consisted of diode or thyristor is easy to
control and reliable, it is widely used in industry. However, the
input current of this rectifier contains a large number of
harmonics, which has become to the main source of grid. In
addition, this rectifier also has the issue about low power
factor. PWM rectifier does not produce harmonics on the grid,
while the input power factor can be controlled and the output
DC voltage can be adjustable, is a high performance fairing. In
this paper, a PWM rectifier is studied, which focus on a unity
power factor control method. The result of the simulation and
experiment show the feasibility and effectiveness of the
method [1].
