This document outlines a 5-day unit plan for teaching 7th grade science students about plant growth and reproduction. The unit objectives are for students to plant and care for beans, describe phototropism, differentiate sporophytes from gametophytes, categorize flower parts, and demonstrate robotic skills with 95% accuracy. Each day will focus on a different learning activity like planting beans, a video on flower parts with a Facebook response, a webquest with blog responses, a game to compare differences using Voki, and observations of ANGIO-BOTS and bean plants. Various technologies are incorporated including a robotic kit, SMART Board, online tools, videos, and podcasts.
