This document classifies animals into different groups based on their characteristics and behaviors: - Animals can be classified by their diets as herbivores, carnivores, or omnivores depending on whether they eat plants, other animals, or both plants and animals. - Animals are also classified based on how they are born, as either oviparous (born from eggs) or viviparous (born from their mother's womb). Birds, insects, reptiles and fish are generally oviparous while mammals are viviparous. - Animals move in different ways depending on their environment - in water, air or land.
