This document discusses unicellular and multicellular organisms. Unicellular organisms, like yeast and amoeba, consist of a single cell and carry out all life processes within that one cell. Multicellular organisms, like humans, are made of many different cell types that combine to form tissues and organs and work together in organ systems. The human body contains trillions of cells organized into tissues, organs, and four main organ systems - integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous - that all work cooperatively to form a living organism.
