1. Unemployment Essay
Crafting an essay on the topic of unemployment poses several challenges, requiring a delicate
balance between factual analysis and empathetic exploration. Firstly, delving into the intricate
web of economic theories and statistical data demands a comprehensive understanding of the
subject matter. Navigating through the sea of unemployment rates, labor force participation, and
various economic indicators can be a daunting task, requiring meticulous research and analytical
skills.
Moreover, tackling the human aspect of unemployment necessitates a nuanced approach.
Addressing the personal stories, struggles, and societal implications involves a delicate handling
of emotions and empathy. Balancing the statistical with the human element, while maintaining
objectivity, adds a layer of complexity to the writing process.
Furthermore, the subject itself is dynamic and multifaceted, making it challenging to cover all
aspects comprehensively within the confines of an essay. Unemployment is influenced by
economic policies, technological advancements, globalization, and myriad other factors.
Ensuring a thorough exploration of these complexities requires not only in-depth knowledge but
also the ability to present information coherently and concisely.
The challenge lies not only in gathering relevant information but also in organizing and
structuring the essay effectively. Striking a balance between introducing the topic, presenting
arguments, and concluding with a compelling resolution demands a strategic and thoughtful
approach to essay composition.
In summary, writing an essay on unemployment demands a blend of economic acumen, empathy,
and adept writing skills. It is a task that requires navigating through intricate data, understanding
societal nuances, and weaving a compelling narrative that encapsulates both the macro and micro
perspectives of this complex issue.

2. Ethnographic Analogies
Ethnography is the study of particular cultural group or community and usually relies
on participant observation. Ethnographic analogies can be carried out by
archaeologist, it involves comparison of a past community and their material culture
and a current similar community and helps to broaden understanding of the past. As
archaeologists, for the most part, have very few written sources, and while studying
prehistoric people they have no written resources about these societies and therefore
must make inferences and analogies from what artefacts these cultures have left
behind. These analogies come in two forms, formal and relational, which will be
explained later in this essay, due to different forms of analogies and interpretations

Later, Binford would go on to suggest that if distinctive features could be shown in
modern societies that correlated with the material culture of a past society then you
can infer from this that the past society would or could have behaved in a similar
way (Binford, 1962: 217 25). However, Middle range theory has itself been
critiqued by other scholars, notably Christopher Pierce a researcher administrator
specialising in archaeological science who states that the inferences created in
middle range theory, which can therefore be expanded to ethnographic analogies
are based on reconstructions of past dynamics which are no longer observable
(Pierce 1989: 3). Therefore, their validity rests solely upon the methods used to
generate them, he goes on to say no empirical tests can be done as there is no
empirical data this is therefore a major critique on middle range theory as it
highlights how according to Pierce Binfords statements are not universal laws, but
empirical generalizations (Pierce, 1989: 6) whose validity can be
3. Difference Between Critical And Critical Thinking
Within every problem we face in contemporary society, there are a multitude of
perspectives, ideas, and ways of thinking that come into play when we attempt to
solve these problems. Two of the major ways of thinking are critical and creative.
Although these two ways of thinking are defined and exemplified in different ways,
they maintain similarities to each other, and neither is fully effective at solving a
multi faceted problem on its own. Critical thinking, by definition, is considering a
problem from an objective point of view, as well as recognizing multiple
perspectives and factors that play a role in the problem solving process. Critical
thinkers must seek not only to obtain knowledge, but to decipher and delve into that
knowledge, questioning inconsistencies and challenging conflicting evidence along
the way. Someone utilizing critical thinking to solve an issue cannot simply accept
that things are the way they are. They must ponder the who, what, when, where, how,
and why aspects of the issue in order to come up with an effective solution. An
example of critical thinking that is prevalent in daily life is settling a dispute between
peers or family members. In this situation, a critical thinker would avoid bias (remain
objective), consider both parties side of the story (consider multiple perspectives),
and negotiate a compromise. Creative thinking, on the other hand, can be described
as a method of thinking that often times involves processes and solutions that

Tigers Delight The largest tiger in the world has been measured at over ten feet long
and over six hundred and sixty pounds! Tigers are apart of the cat family and are
known to be the largest feline in the bunch. Within just the tiger species there are nine
different subspecies and three of which are already extinct. Their differences are
not as drastic in appearance like other animals, such as dogs for example, but they
still noticeable to the trained eye. All tiger subspecies are currently classified as
being endangered but there are many actions being taken to help keep the current
surviving species from going extinct. Most tigers in nature live to be ten to fifteen
years old. Tigers by nature are carnivores and are only found in nature in one
continent on earth, which is Asia. Unlike most cats tiger enjoy swimming and
spend the majority of the hot summer days resting in rivers or lakes. OneKind.org
is an animal relief organization and they explain that tiger s roar can carry more
than 2 km and they are most active hunters at night (OneKind). Knowing information
about the six living subspecies of tigers and their differences, whether it be physical
make up or social habits, and what organizations are out there and what they are
doing to help the endangered species, is a brilliant start to having a well rounded
knowledge of tigers.
Like all mammals tigers grow up, but what s unique to tigers that is different

Being constantly motivated to extend and expand capabilities.
Self awareness is being conscious of oneself, of one s own style as a leader, and of
one s own qualities. Personal reflection and getting feedback from others are
necessary elements for developing self awareness, a process labeled double loop
learning (Nahavandi, 2009, p. 337). What one learns from others as well from
himself is reflected in self awareness. One needs to know his own potential and be
aware of his weakness to recognize chances for expansion (Crnokrak, 2010)
(Nahavandi, 2009, p. 336 337).
Experiences have a great impact in a leader s life; the experiences a leader can have
can be really strong but on occasions can have a negative effect. Sometimes,
experiences can create a stronger leader although sometimes experiences can frighten
a leader. Confronting negative experiences make leaders be afraid and back away

The TQM theory was elaborated by W. Edwards Demingto better the management of

Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management approach to optimization
(Anvari, Ismail Hojjati, 2011). TQM is defined as an approach to management
characterized by some guiding principles or core concepts that embody the way the
organisation is expected to operate, which, when effectively linked together, will lead
to high performance (Eriksson Garvare, 2005). According to Radnor (2000) TQM is
the management of quality at every stage of operations, from planning and design

Earlier in the century, many textile and manufacturing mills fled the Northeast for
the promise of cheap land grants and cheap labor without the hassle of dealing with
the negotiation of labor union agreements (Shuler, 1999). Today, much of that labor
has departed for the shores of other countries like Taiwan, India and China for the
promise of much of the same. The Southeast never fully adapted to the idea and
continues to operate as mostly Right to Work states to this day. Shuler (1999), states
that the Southeast also faced additional struggles with union organization; Jim Crow
laws. This meant that biracial unions had to be created and were immediately met
with resistance due to the belief that even biracial interactions at the union level
could lead to the downfall of the white race. The author contends that while
historically we think of labor unions as only operating amongst blue collar workers,
there is a huge market available today for labor unions to become extremely active in
the white collar

end of the movie, it shows poor people in Africa having clean water coming from

that there is friendship in Trash and Millions is, in the text Trash, Gardo treats Raphael

organizations profitability as compared to its competitors in the same industry by
looking at 5 forces of stress. Coca Cola deals with a lot of pressure in the concentrate
business, most specifically with Pepsi. I will analyze the 5 forces model to
determine Coca Colas overall profitability.
The 5 forces model begins by looking at rivalry between established competitors.
Coca Cola has a direct rivalry with Pepsi in the fact that they make and distribute an
almost identical product used for the same purposes. Because the concentrate
industry, or the CSD (carbonated soft drink) industry, is dominated by Coke and
Pepsi, their prices tend to be alike and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The threat of substitutes has increased for companies such as Coca Cola and Pepsi
due to the increased concern of health. The concentrate companies have reacted by
coming out with Diet versions which have been hugely successful. The concentrate
business has done very well with staying abreast of emerging trends by creating their
own substitutes using their powerful name (such as water, tea, sports drinks, etc.).
To determine what these 5 forces mean in terms of the concentrate industries future
profitability, I took a look at the industry s recent levels of profitability as well as the
competition between Coca Cola and Pepsi and determined their overall profitability
using their current structures.
The U.S. Beverage Industry is compromised of concentrates including CSD s, beer,
milk, bottled water, coffee, juices, tea, sports drinks, powdered drinks, wine and
distilled spirits. The consumption trends of CSD s more than doubled from 1970 to
1990 and continued to steadily rise well into 2000. Although very small, beginning in
2000 there was a slight drop in consumption followed by another minuscule drop in
2002 2004. Although the change is slight and is not cause for alarm at this point, it
does fit in with the changing environment of the industry. More and more choices are
being introduced into the marketplace as well as changes in consumer behavior
(dieting, changing preferences, etc.). These changes give reason to the slight

14. Wife Of Bath Pilgrimage
During the Middle Ages, there were growing religious opportunities for women.
They could attend church, enter nunneries, and even go on pilgrimages. A
pilgrimage is a journey that one takes to a holy or sacred place. Typically pilgrims
tend to be very religious. The Wife of Bath has taken multiple pilgrimages and
traveled extensively to reach the holy destinations. However, her lifestyle and way
she interacts with her husbands greatly contrasts those of people who go on
pilgrimages. Instead of being driven by her spirituality, the Wifeof Bath seems to be
driven by sex and lust. Moreover, the money that she swindles out of her husbands
or inherits after they die is the same money she uses to fund her pilgrimages. In
Europe during the Middle Ages, many women were married at an early age, just as
the Wife of Bath was. And if a women was widowed it was acceptable for her to
remarry, just as the Wife of Bath did. However, the dynamics of the self
proclaimed expert of love s marriages were not so typical. Instead of the wife being

own community. According to Source A, the Danish police report, Tollund Man wore
an iron neck ring, which was typically what slaves wore during the Iron Age.

16. Satire And Situational Irony In Jane Austen s Emma
Jane Austen
One of the most usual ways of acquiring dramatic and situational irony is through
the use of satire. Irony is the difference between what is said or done and what is
actually meant. Therefore, writers involve satire to point out the lies and silliness of
people and their society. Satire is a technique employed by writers to expose and
criticize idiocy and dishonesty of an individual or a society by using humor, irony,
exaggeration, or ridicule. Satire and irony are interlinked to reveal foolishness and
follies in a comical way.
Like Jane Austen s other social satires, Emma counts closely on situational irony.
Emma is being satirized by viewing herself as a good matchmaker with skills in
observation. However, she is too innocent and thickheaded to be in others personal
relationships. In every instance including her own love life Emma tries to assert her
opinions on whom someone should or should not marry, it backfires terribly. The
dramatic irony is that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

at the same maturity level as Cher. Another difference in the films is in the end
Emma learns to stop meddling and falls deeply in love with Knightley. Cher realizes

While some information may be stored securely on an encrypted volume, ongoing

should make a memory dump to acquire the digital evidence in addition to

He decided to use a tariff. A tariff was a tax on imported goods (McDougal Littell,
296) Many Americans were outraged because they got supplies from traded goods
and they would be taxed when they should not be. In the Articles of Confederation,
there is a section that provides information about taxing the Americans. In Article
1; Section 8 it states The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties
and excises to pay the debts... (McDougal Littell, 253). It was approved to tax the
states to pay debts. The Articles of Confederation was used to confirm that the 13
states had more power than the government. This was confirmed because before
the Revolutionary War, Britain took control of the 13 states and the states were
treated very poorly. King James was a cause of religious persecution. Also, the
colonist (Americans) did not have any rights of freedom. Hamilton had a vision for
America. He wanted a successful nation. As growing up in Britain, Britain
assembled factories and manufactures. Hamilton requested America to build
factories. Hamilton did have a political view for the constitution. Since he was a
federalist he believed that the government deserved more power. He admired to
have the powers separated and have one person in charge. This can connect back to
Thomas Hobbes philosophy ...or that he cannot be content with a moderate power.

23. Socialization Of Male And Female Roles
Socialization is defined as the process by which people acquire behaviors and
beliefs of their social world. One factor that can contribute to this is the individual
cultural differences. In some countries, the cultural standard is what outlines the
socialization of male and female roles is different. For example, in a narrow
understanding that girls are supposed to hold jobs that only cater to feminine jobs
like housewife or nursing. However, with a broad understanding that girls can do
whatever job they want like firefighter or police officer. In every society, there is a
breakdown between a broad socialization and narrow socialization of the life span of
gender. From infancy, to childhood, to adolescence, and adults we can see stage...

Infant from early on are shown what gender specific expectation that are expected
from each gender. For example, infants in a narrow society toys are gender specific
boy toys are trucks, cars, and balls verses, girl toys are dolls, teddy bears and tea

appropriate color coordinated outfits and so are girls with different bright and
colorful dresses with most likely flower patterns on it. Everything is kept traditional,
structured, and separate.
From age three to eight is early childhood, and from nine to eleven is middle
childhood age and from eleven to twelve is pre teen. In Broad childhood, behavior
and emotion are more dominant or noticeable. Girls become more emotional and
the boys become messy and unorganized. At age 4 to 7 it becomes all about making
friends get as many friends as you can, age 8 to 10 this is when personality traits
become more noticeable both gender display the beginning stages of defiance. Then
age 11 to 12 everything is about how emotionally they feel, at this point some girls
and boys may experience early puberty. The family environment is very important at
this point this is when children start to really observe and absorb everything their
parents do. In a functional family home, all family members are healthy and stable of
course there are disagreements but there is a clear understanding of unity. In a

Australia, like many other countries across the globe, faces challenges presented by
existing climate conditions and the future rates of change. Today s decisions, policies,
and developing technologies may alter the ways that climate change will impact the
country. As a whole, the Australian government and designers are already beginning
to address these issues through the implementation of sustainable buildingcodes and
the use of climateresponsive design and materials that will adjust as the climate does.

Effect of Temperature on Solubility of Potassium Chloride in Water
Research question
How does temperature affect the solubility of potassium chloride in water?
Hypothesis
As the temperature of water increases, the particles of solid Potassium chloride, KCl,
which are absorbing energy from its surrounding, start moving more easily between
the solution and its solid state because. According to the second law of
thermodynamics, the particles will shift to the more disordered, more highly
dispersed solution state. I predict that as the temperature of a KCl and water mixture
increases, then the solubility of the KCl will also increase.

The use of different syringes for the extraction of the Potassium chloride and
distilled water solution from each beaker avoids the possibility of contamination in
the case where the same syringe was used in all 6 beakers.
The needle of the syringe should be placed at the midpoint between the surface of
the solution and the bottom of the beaker upon extraction. This is because of it were
placed at the surface of the solution some air particles might enter the syringe, and if
it were placed at the bottom of the beaker some undissolved particles might be
extracted, thereby leading to an increase in the actual concentration of the dissolved
salt.
The weight of each 50ml beaker (used for weighing the mass of dissolved Potassium
chloride after the evaporation of water) should be recorded. If the experimenter
were to weigh the mass of one beaker and take it as a default mass, the latter may be
a source of error.
In order to minimize errors and to place the solutions in the same environment, the
same volume should be extracted from each solution using the syringes.
After heating the extracted solution in the 50ml beaker for weighing purposes, some
of the water might condense back into the liquid state (in the form droplets), thereby
leading to an increase in the calculated weight of Potassium chloride. Therefore

Tackling Conflict and Poor Teamwork Prevention
Ultimately there is no guarantee that we will be able to prevent conflict. The point
was made in the section entitled, What causes conflict? that the complex dynamics
between people in social interaction will inevitably lead to conflict sooner or later.
However, there are steps that we can take to try to keep conflict to a minimum not to
prevent it altogether (as that would clearly be unrealistic), but rather to prevent
certain occurrences at least.
Many conflicts can be seen to arise as a result of a breakdown in communication. A
key issue, therefore, in preventing conflict is the importance of ensuring that
communication takes place as effectively as possible. Conflict frequently ... Show

Conflict is concerned with difference. If we were all the same, then there would be
little or no conflict. However, thankfully we are not all the same, and so part of the
price that we pay for the richness of diversity is that conflicts will arise at certain
times. Conflict can be seen to arise from the incompatibility of aims between
individuals and/or groups that is, what I am trying to achieve and what you are
trying to achieve. If they are significantly different, they can lead us into conflict.
Two main problems can arise there. First, we may feel uneasy about the conflict
and the tensions that it raises, and therefore try to pretend it is not there, to fudge
the issue or brush it under the carpet. This can lead to significant problems in so far
as the situation may be allowed to fester and go on for a much longer period than is
necessary if we are not prepared to deal with it and move on. Second, we may cause
problems by dealing with the conflict in a way which escalates the tensions between
us. For example, rather than deal with any conflicts between us constructively and
amicably, we may use the opportunity to attack one another, thereby leading to
unnecessary additional problems. These, then, are the two main (but not only)
problems associated with conflict: fudging and escalation.
The short answer to the question of what causes conflict is quite simply, life.
Bringing people together in social interaction necessarily involves a set of

The Advantages of GMO crops Genetically modified crops have shorter maturation
periods, meaning they can be harvested much faster and in shorter intervals.
Therefore farmers can produce more crops in shorter time frames and increase
their profitability Genetically modified crops make agriculture more sustainable.
Due to the short maturation periods, soil salinity decreases as the crops don t
spend as long taking nutrients and minerals out of the soil. Genetically modified
crops are made to be better/improved and carry strong genes for certain favourable
characteristics. This allows for higher quality crops to be produced. They have

However, after World War 2 Russia took them back and by 1949 had evacuated all

Clearly the better and stronger our telescopes and other methods used to evaluate the
sky will result in further discoveries. Not only do we have Earth bound telescopes;
we have telescopes in the sky that can get even closer to other matter whether that be
planets, stars, comets, asteroids, etc. The textbook also notes radial velocity and how
the gravitational pull of a planetresults in the star wobbling. If the wobble happens
to occur along our line of sight to the star, then we see small fluctuations in the star s
radial velocity, which can be measured using the Doppler effect (Chaisson McMillan,
2014, p 371) allowing us to estimate the mass of the planet (Chaisson McMillan,
2014, p 371). I found this website: http://www.planetary.org/explore/space topics
/exoplanets/how to search for exoplanets.html that gives three ways. They are noted
as radial velocity (already stated); transit photometry (having to do with the brightness
or lack thereof of a star when another planet passes between it and the Earth(How to
Search for Exoplanets)), and Microlensing (stated as the only real method that is
capable of discovering other planets at huge distances from Earth (How to Search for
Exoplanets)). It further notes that while radial velocity can identify them within 100
light years, transit photometry can identify them more than 100 light years (100 s in
fact), and transit photometry can find those that are thousands of light years away. I

30. The Importance Of Commitment In College
A student s decision to attend college is a personal choice that comes with personal
recognition of their responsibility. Whether the student attends a two or four year
college this choice requires commitment. Commitment begins with the acceptance of
personal responsibility for one s actions, determination, and hard work. Gordon states
in his article that choosing a college is a daunting task for the graduating high school
student. And considering that choices made in college shape the trajectory of the
rest of your life, its significance can t be underestimated (Gordon Govier, 2010)
College attendance is not a requirement but a gateway to a successful career if one
is responsible enough to attend and complete course work to earn a degree. I feel
as though being a college student is very time consuming, and I have never been
so over whelmed with work in my life. There are a lot of things that you must put
into view before you decide to come to any college. Everything should be sent to
your school and done in a timely matter for when you get to the school of your
choice you will not be lost. To be a full time college student you must put into
perspective what type of schedule you want to have and how much free time you
have so you can learn to use your free time in a timely matter. When doing your
work do you think that it s the professor s responsibility to stay on you to do your
work, or do you think that responsibility should be placed onto the student? The

At the end of my ninth grade year, I signed up to run for the Windber Cross

this caliber. Connecting to this sport, along with the team, was one of the best
decisions I made my high school career. This experience has allowed me to create
strong friendships that will last beyond my schooling, and it all started with me
failing horribly.
Towards the end of my ninth grade year, one of my best friends convinced me to
run on the cross country team. He ran the year prior and decided he would recruit
as many people as possible to run on the team. He dragged me to the office where I
reluctantly signed up for the sport and told me a little about the program and all it
entailed. I was extremely nervous because the people in it were people who I did
not know well, but were people I knew in passing. Our first practice was in late June,
which basically started a long road of conditioning for distance running. During the
summer, however, the friend that convinced me to sign up left to work a summer
job, which would leave me with thirty other people I did not really know. This was
the moment I started fighting the idea of going to practice altogether to prevent
making a fool of myself in front of them. This was very intimidating to me and I did
not want to put myself in that position, but I still had half a month to go at that point.
The day of my first practice finally arrived, and I woke up at seven

With the preseason underway, the Miami Dolphins are 1 1 having loss this past

presents an opportunity to get into shape and establish some team chemistry going
into the regular season, For the Dolphins, a team clearly in rebuilding mode, the
preseason holds extra importance as new Head Coach Adam Gase desperately
needs to assess the team s current status and how to start putting all the pieces into
place. The one thing the Dolphins succeeded at doing in 2015 was avoid major
injuries on offense. There were a few on defense, but the way the defense played

He then turned the ball over to Matt Moore, who looked sharp with 10/14 passing
for 122 yards and 1 TD. He was also sacked 3 times, which follows suit with one of
the Dolphins major problems last year, the offensive line. Fortunately, they did a
much better job of opening holes for the running game, which was led by Isaiah
Pead with 50 yards on 10 carries. After giving up 10 first quarter points, the defense
looked sharp, shutting down the Giants offense the rest of the way. This past week
against the Dallas Cowboys was a different story. First, the good news. Tannehill
played most of the game and performed pretty well. He completed 12 of 20 passes
for 162 yards and 2 TDs with no interceptions and only one sack. Again. Pead
looked good running the ball with 48 yards on only 4 carries. At this point, he
looks like a legitimate contender to take the starting job away from preseason
favorite Jay Ajayi. Now for the bad news. The defense stopped nobody. The Cowboys
had 250+ yards passing, 150+ yard rushing, and seemingly scored at will against a
defense that looked lost on the field. This was a huge problem for last year s squad
that ended the season 6 10 because the defense couldn t keep offenses off the

THE BASIC IDEA
In the field of physical science it has been proved that absolutely everything can be
scientifically reduced to one ultimate invisible Essence, something which cannot be

That too is an inescapable realization drawn from the premise of an infinite being.
The Infinite cannot be one with just one of us. It must be one with every one of us.
Each and everyone is one with the infinite One, God. If you doubt that Jesus came to
this conclusion, then consider one question: Why did he say that when we pray we
should pray to Our Father, rather than his Father? We are all one with the infinite
One. I think that we must accept this premise because it is reasonable; but my
insistence that others think and reason as I do would be unreasonable. Anyone can
ignore the infinite One; they just can t be separate or apart from It. We can ignore our
heritage, our inheritance and our inherent nature. Nevertheless it is with us, even
thou we deny it. You can ignore reality, but it doesn t go away.
One Reality The Apostle Paul wrote: In him we live, and move, and have our being
[Acts 17:28] Jesus said: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the
kingdom of God is within you. [Lk. 17:21] God would have to be very small to be
within all, and very large to include all. However, to resolve these two extremes, God
need only be infinite. Remember what Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote in his essay,
History:
There is no great and no small
To the Soul that maketh all:
And where it cometh, all things are;
And it cometh everywhere. When we envision a God that is omniscient, omnipotent
and omnipresent we are thinking of the infinite,

Professor of natural resource economics at Columbia University, Scott Barrett, is
responsible for producing Environment statecraft: The strategy of environmental
treaty making , a book that in his words, develops a theory of how states can
cooperate in protecting their shared environmental resources and should utilised to
analyse the successfulness of agreements and treaties. What sets this text apart is not
his presentation of newly founded information, but rather the craftful piecing together
of what Barret labels disparate ideas of economic/game theoretic approaches to
international cooperation and to combine and package them in a coherent fashion
(p.358). This is not to suggest that Barrett did not include his unique findings
however. Barrett persistently brought to light seemingly original examinations into
specific factors influencing poor successful examples of cooperation. This approach
results in an extensively scoping survey that highlights the dominant themes in a
fashion that allows the information to be accessible and feasibly consumable to any
audience willing to follow the core models and is also analytically robust. Notably
Barrett put an intensive focus, not only on theory but on how the theory was could
be applied in practice. Barrett does this as international cooperation in theory should
provide an approach for the conduct of policy , and practitioners need to think deeply
about these problems (p 358). The combination of the ideas and themes

Again we need to look at how the Bible uses these words. In John 17:3 it says that
This is eternal life that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ
whom you have sent. (New American Standard Bible, 1995 revised). In that verse
it talks about how having eternal life is to also knowing God. Also only the
believer is known by Jesus (John 10:27; Gal. 4:8 9; Romans 8:29). The unbeliever
is not known by Jesus (Matt. 7:21 23). In every verse except for one, God says that
he knows only the believers. Knowing this is a kind of salvation knowing, it is a
kind of knowing that God gives to the Christians. He knows them and knows that
they are saved. The unbelievers are not known and therefore are not saved. It would
seem to be consistent with scripture to say that ...as I m fully known would refer to

present day tongues are further revelation and then must be equal to scripture and
ought to be included into the Bible. But since the Bible has nothing to add to it, the
gift of tongues must no longer be valid. The problem with this argument is that faulty

James Joyce s Araby and John Updike s A P are two stories which, in spite of their
many differences, share many similarities in their endings. The primary focus of both
of these initiation stories revolves around adolescent protagonists who come into
conflict with their unrealistic expectations of women and their societies. Although the
boys use different approaches in pursuit of their ideal, both narrators face a radical
shift in their attitudes as they transit into adulthood.
The protagonists in both stories are ultimately faced with the harsh and shattering

manager rebukes the girls for their indecent dress. The girls, however, ignore Sammy
s heroic gesture and leave the store. Failing to win the heart or attention of their

This sort of strip development can lead to housing inflation, traffic congestion, and
poses many problems for the social and economic infrastructure of the towns it
effects. Many #8230;ski resorts are no longer the 800 pound gorilla threatening
mountain valleys. Rather, the villan of rampant commercial over development is
bigger and more complex: thousands of people moving to the mountains for
reasons additional to skiing. In a few towns, skiing is no longer the engine of
growth, but is becoming a mere amenity like golf. (http:www.wildwilderness.org
/wi/skiarea.htm) To me this is what may begin to lead to the decline of the
industry. No longer will the NH ski industry offer the homely mountain feeling it
always has had if trends continue the way they are. Developmental sprawl is
something almost every American has witnessed in their life. If there is an
attraction, whether its recreation or the weather pretty much almost anything,
people will begin to show up and alter the social and economic life that is already
established in the area. Along with the hoards of people that come to live or buy
condos at NH ski areas comes their SUV s, their waste, and a demand for expansion
among other impacts. As the mountain grows so to does the area around it. Loon

43. The Availability Of Legal Aid
Justice is at the heart of a democratic society. It means laws should apply equally to
all, and that everyone should have the right to a fair trial. It is part of our rights as
human beings and we ought to be able to bring our dispute before an independent
judge for them to be settled. This essay seeks to look at the availability of legal aidin
the 21st century and if it is still open to all, like the ritz hotel like suggested by Sir
James Mathew.
What does access to justice mean, if not a fully FUNDED legal aid system? Is it a
noble aspiration that should lift our hearts, or is it a load of meaningless tosh
peddled by politicians and lawyers to suit their own self serving ends? . Before we
can begin to look at Legal aid and its excerpts, we must explore Access to Justice
and what it means in relation to the subject matter. Access to justice means
knowing and being able to enforce your rights and duties, having access to courts
and tribunals. Access to justice is not the same principle with legal aid, rather
access to justice is the principle of being treated fairly according to the law and if
you are not treated fairly being able to get appropriate redress . That doesn t just
mean access to lawyers and courts. It means access to ombudsmen, advice agencies
and the police law. It means public authorities behaving properly. It means everyone
having some basic understanding of their rights. It means making law less complex
and more intelligible .

45. Banded Iron Formation Essay
Banded Iron Formations and evolution of the atmosphere
The time between the formation of the earth and the beginning of the
Cambrian(about 570mya) is a 4000 my long period known as the Precambrian, this
includes approximately 90% of geological time of which we know very little about as
pre Cambrian rocks are poorly exposed, many have been eroded or metamorphosed
and fossils are seldom found.
The Precambrian has been divided into 3 Eons: 1.Hadean (4600 3800 mya of which
there is no rock record) 2.Archean 3800 2500 mya) 3.Proterozoic 2500 570 mya.
The present atmosphere is greatly depleted in Ne, Xe and Kr which are inert gases
that should be preserved in the atmosphere. This suggests that the earth amp;#8217;s
initial atmosphere was lost ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These deposits of marine hematite and quartz represent a precipitation of dissolved
iron from sea water as the dissolved oxygen content of the water increased. After
1800 mya, Banded iron formations are rare, but terrestrial red beds are common for
the first time suggesting that iron is being oxidised and precipitated in soils and
rocks on land in the source area of sediments instead of being dissolved and carried
into the oceans in its unoxidised form. Thus, it has been reasoned that the BIF red
bed transition marks the rise of atmospheric oxygen. Complimentary information
comes from detrital uraninite in Archean and earliest Proterozoic alluvial rocks.
Because this uranium mineral can survive prolonged transport only in media
containing little or no oxygen, the lack of detrital uraninite deposits younger than
2300 ma also points towards a significant environmental transition (Roscoe,1969).
Not all scientists have accepted the validity of these observations or of their
interpretation, Dimroth and Kimberley(1976) argued that at least some red beds
antedate the end of BIF deposition, that Archean granites have paleoweathering
profiles indicative of oxic environments, and that oxidised sulphur minerals
(sulphates) occur in some of the oldest known sedimentary successions. All of these
observations are correct, and we must ask whether they
46. What Are The Foundations Of Government
The Foundations of U.S. Government The U.S. government was founded on three
philosophies, naturalism, classical republicanism and constitutionalism. John Locke s
contractual theory of government placed great value on the people s natural rights.
Locke believed that people would willingly complete their civil duties of [paying
taxes and serving in the military, in return for the government s protection and ear.
People would do these things only if the government would listen to and protect them.
Locke believed that in a natural state, men protect and control their property, but they
are in a state of constant danger. When the people unite and form a government, their
natural rights of life, liberty and property are protected. Locke believed
47. Why School Should Be Mandatory School Choice
Upon doing this research, I found new information pertaining to different types of
school choices. What surprised me the most was the fact that a Charter School can
shut its doors almost immediately if funding is not properly established and taken
care of or if the school cannot perform and produce the desired academic results by
the end of term (Shen, Y. 2011). I also found it fascinating that private schools set
their own standards, up to a point, they can hire a teacher who does not meet the
same requirements the a state mandates (Kauchak Eggen, 2014). Allowing school
choice can have an impact on every type of schooling system. However, to first
understand its affects, we must first explore what the intention of school choice is.
Having school choice creates competition among all schools and is thought to help
raise academic achievements (Lubienski, Gulosino, Weitzel, P. 2009). Just as
individuals have the freedom to choose where to shop for food, parents have options
of where to send their children for an education. Schools may create specialized
programs often found in Magnet Schools, Public Schools may have a particular
focus, Charter Schools may advertise smaller class size, and Private Schools may
go for a value driven and religious education. These focuses or programs make the
school more attractive to parents and students. For example, a child from a low
income family may not be able to attend a private school, but really wants to receive a
religious

49. Comparison Of The Maltese Falcon And Citizen Kane
Two of the first film noir pieces, The Maltese Falcon and Citizen Kane, share many
similarities in structure and style. Their biggest similarities are the plant and
payoff technique, and meaningless quests the main characters embark upon. In
The Maltese Falcon, a detective, Sam Spade, is tasked with finding a golden
falcon by Brigid O Shaunessy. He is not told of the falcon until Brigid s former
partner, Joel Cairo, offers to pay Spade for the falcon. Consequently, Spade
discovers Brigid is lying to him about her identity, having originally given an
alternate name. All the while, Spade doesn t know the falcon s location until a
ship captain comes into Spade s office and dies, holding the falcon. This leads to
Spade bargaining for the falcon, after which, the falcon is finally unwrapped, and
discovered to be fake. The film concludes with Cairo setting off to try and track
down the real falcon, and Spade left alone without the money he was promised for
it. However, in Citizen Kane, the film starts off with Charles Kane dying on the
floor of his mansion, saying rosebud. Then the film cuts to a newsreel about Kane s
life, which is dismissed as too impersonal. Subsequently, a reporter, Thompson, is
sent to discover rosebud . Throughout the movie, Kane s acquaintances tell
Thompson about his life, few mentioning rosebud. Finally, the movie ends in Kane s
mansion, reporters cataloguing all of Kane s possessions. Thompson is asked by
fellow reporters if he ever discovered the

51. Pros And Cons Of The Cosmological Argument
The Cosmological Argument has several forms, but is essentially a proof for the
existence of the God of classical theism. It investigates to respond to the human
wonder for answers to questions like who created the universe? It is an a posteriori
argument, meaning that it is based on our experience of the world around us. The
argument has been around for many years, but it was St. Thomas Aquinas in his book
Summa Theologica who established the argument as we know it today. Aquinas had
five proofs for the existenceof God, of which three are cosmological; they are the First
Cause Argument, the Prime Mover Argument and the Argument from Contingency.
The First Cause Argument is troubled with the idea that all things have a cause and if
we trace back the chain of causes, there must be an original cause which began
everything else. People take this cause without a cause to be God. In a similar way
the Prime Mover Argument declares that everything has to be moved by something
and then a chain of movement is constructed up with each items movement resting on
the movement of the item before it. Since the Cosmological Argumentrejects infinity,
this chain of movement must have been started by something, because it is by our
own experience that all things... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It rejects the idea of an infinite universe because as time is always being added on,
time cannot be infinite. This argument was also discovered in the western world by
William L. Craig, who revised it to some extent. The argument states that if the
universe was infinite then all of time would exist simultaneously. A good example of
this idea would be Hilbert s paradox of the Grand Hotel, which was introduced by
David Hilbert and it proved that a fully occupied hotel with infinitely many rooms
may still accommodate additional guests, even infinitely many of them and that this
process may be repeated infinitely
52. Betrayal In The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe
In the novel, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, betrayal takes place in
many situations and it is almost always followed by forgiveness. Some of the
motives behind the betrayal in the novel include fear, spite, temptation, pride,
selfishness, and doing what is right. In C.S. Lewis s The Lion, The Witch, and The
Wardrobe, Lewis includes the recurring theme of betrayal and forgiveness. The first
examples of betrayal are by Mr.Tumnus. After he first plans to betray Lucy, he then
changes his mind and betrays the White Witch instead. When Lucy first enters
Narnia through the wardrobe, she runs into a Faun who introduces himself as
Mr.Tumnus. Upon finding out Lucy is a human, he befriends her and invites her to
his home where he secretly plans to betray her and take her to the White Witch, who
ordered all creatures of Narnia to report any sightings of humans. He later confesses
to Lucy his intentions when first meeting her, but says that he changed his mind
because he has taken a liking to her. He says to Lucy:... Show more content on

capture and imprisonment later. Lucy s forgiveness of Mr.Tumnus leads to his own

53. Deception In The Odyssey
Deception in ancient Greece meant something almost entirely different than it does in
the modern United States. For example, today, deception is used most frequently in
talking about a bad one night stands and how one member of the night out cannot
believe that he/she was fooled by someone just for sex. In ancient Greece, however,
deceptionwas most commonly attributed to females, and it played on the point that
women were out to foil men s plans of fulfilling their destiny in their manhood. Some
of the most prominent female deceivers in Greek literature are the goddess Demeter,
Penelope, the wife of Odysseus, and the goddess Athene. In the Hymn to Demeter,
the daughter of the goddess Demeter, Persephone, is kidnapped by the god of the...

Athene is prominent in most Greek literature, but her role in the first four books of
The Odyssey by Homer is one of her most famous roles. In Book I, she ...was
disguised as a friend, leader of the Taphians, Mentes (Odyssey, 1.105) and tells
Odysseus and Penelope s son, Telemachos, what he must do in order to discover
truths about his lost father and to rid the home of the suitors. Telemachos is nearly
20 years of age, has been raised by his mother his entire life, and it has taken a toll
on his level of maturity. Telemachos lacked a male, father figure role model in his
life, and being raised by only a woman was demeaning and thought to cause the boy
to not reach his potential in manhood. However, when Athene comes to Telemachos
as Mentes, she tell him that he ...should not go clinging to your childhood and that
he is no longer of an age to do that (Odyssey, 1.296 97). Unlike Demeter and
Penelope, Athene is actually not disguising herself in order to obtain a personal goal,
but rather to ensure that Odysseus son reaches maturity and that Telemachos does
know that his father is alive and trying to come home. Athene s use of trickery and
deception is harmful to no one except the intruding suitors, since Telemachos needs to
reach maturity, and the suitors need to leave the home of Odysseus. Thankfully, once
the suitors realize what Telemachos has to do (Telemachos leaves Ithaca for Pylos
and Sparta to see if he can discover news of his father), the suitors begin, for the first
time since their arrival, to feel threatened by someone. Athene brings about the
maturation of Telemachos, and therefore causes the suitors to become worried about
there being another man in the
54. Studies on Memories
Human beings usually depend on memory to accurately recall or describe the past
events that have happened. However, many researchers have shown that human
memories can be imperfect and fallible (Lilienfeld et al., 2012). This essay will
argue that human memory for the details of past events is not reliably accurate. The
evidence for this argument can be seen in two empirical studies which will be
reviewed. Schmolck, Buffalo Squire (2000), found that percentage memory
distortions and mistaken recollections after 32 months is higher than 15 months.
Lastly, Roediger III, Jacoby, and McDermott (1996) found an extensive
misinformation effects occurred in memory recall and the effects increase with
repeated testing.
First evidence is study by Schmolck et al. (2000) which is to examine memory
changes about the O.J. Simpson trial verdict after 15 months and 32 months of the
incident. The IVs for the study is the time taken for the interview of the participants.
The IVs has two levels which are the interview were conducted after 15 months and
32 months of the incident. Meanwhile, the DVs for the study is the percentage of
memory distortions after 15 and 32 months of the incident. They surveyed 222
undergraduate psychology students. The participants rated several questions and
answered a few questions (how they heard the verdict, where were they and what
were they doing when they heard the verdict) after 3 days of the verdict was
announced. Then, the 222 students were divided into

current situation difficult. According to representatives of the organization, it

the disadvantages faced by the country, the IMF calls the collapse of the bubble in

Brennan uses symbols to show how even though we can be in bad situations; there
is hope for our dreams. The author Brennan uses numerous symbols to characterize
the meaning of the story Runaways . In the introduction of the story, Brennan
describes Lou s appearance that hides the fact that she is a mother of four kids I
