Essay On SCHR Organization
The SCHR organization
In 1970, after the increase in size of the Criminal Justice System the number of imprisoned
increased from around 200,000 to over 2 million making United States the highest in incarceration
rate of all nations in the world. The purpose of SCHR is to end abuses in prison, represent death
penalty cases, and stopping inhumane criminal justice practices. The Southern Center for Human
Rights was founded by activists concerned about criminal justice system and the horrendous
conditions of southern prison conditions. Southern Center for Human Rights represents people in
death penalty as well as individual lawsuits challenging practices within the criminal justice system.

This color definitely is eye catching and stands out but it just does not match with the whole
background of the website which is white. Also, the background color of the SCHR logo, which
contains a part of a white stairs is neon yellow as well. Nevertheless, the donate tab is neon
purple which does not match with any of the colors present in the website. Therefore, whoever
was responsible for the choice of colors used in this website did not do a very good job at it.
Also, the website presents events that the Southern Center for Human Rights is currently working
on, and accomplishments and upcoming events in a news like format in the very first page under

Sued for Collecting Illegal Fees in Atlanta Municipal Court and SCHR is currently challenging a
mass school search of 900 students by Worth County sheriff s office. One of the accomplishments
of SCHR is that, more than thirty years after his conviction, the Supreme Court of the United States
granted cert to longtime SCHR client.
In addition, the SCHR website and the whole organization consist of social media, such as: twitter,
instagram and etc. The social media part is toward middle of the right side on the website. One of

Tropical Rainforest Deforestation
Rainforests around the world were once the most popular and most talked about parts of
our ecosystem. From prominent rainforests in Brazil, all the way to Costa Rica, the devastation
caused by deforestation is well known and right now it seems as if the effects are to an extent
ignored. It is averaged that every second, 1 and a half acres of rainforest land is cut down. It is
said that a great amount of the undiscovered plants and animals will not have a chance at being
discovered, the ozone layer is depleting in the course, and the plants needed to fight pollution are
dying or the process is being disrupted. It seems as if these effects are rather irrelevant to the
population that is causing this disaster. One of the deadliest diseases ... Show more content on

These are just a few ways we can prevent this from happening.
We don #39;t need to clear the 4 to 6 percent of the Earth #39;s surface remaining in
tropical rain forests, with most of the animal and plant species living
there. (Wilson)
In our daily world, with the increased awareness on such issues such as deforestation, we
all have come to the knowledge of the potential dangers of this happening and what can happen
to our world. Statistics show that only 30% of the earth s rainforests are left and that is an
alarming number that can take years to boost back up. Because of deforestation, we see the
physical damage it s doing such as severe climate change and the extinction of various amount
of species in the thousands. We also can see that not so noticeable fact that our carbon dioxide
emissions are rising in the atmosphere around us which is primarily due to this epidemic. One

The Gatorade Company, Inc.
The Gatorade Company, Inc. is a manufacturer of sports themed beverage and food products, built
around its signature line of sports drinks. Gatorade is currently manufactured by PepsiCo and is
distributed in over 80 countries. The beverage was first developed in 1965 by a team of researchers
at the University of Florida, to replenish the combination of water, carbohydrates, and electrolytes
that the school s student athletes lost in sweat during rigorous sport activities.
Originally produced and marketed by Stokely Van Camp, the Gatoradebrand was purchased by the
Quaker Oats Company in 1983, which, in turn, was bought by PepsiCo in 2000. As of 2010,
Gatorade is PepsiCo s 4th largest brand, on the basis of worldwide annual retail sales. It competes
with Coca Cola s Powerade, and Vitaminwater brands worldwide, and with Lucozade Sport in the
United Kingdom. Within the United States, Gatorade accounts for approximately 75 percent
market share in the sports drink category.
History
Gatorade was formulated in 1965 by a team of scientists at the University of Florida College of
Medicine, including Robert Cade, Dana Shires, Harry James Free and Alejandro de Quesada.
Following a request from Florida Gators football head coach Ray Graves, Gatorade was created to
help athletes by acting as a replacement for body fluids lost during physical exertion. The earliest
versions of the beverage consisted of a mixture of water, sodium, sugar, potassium, phosphate, and
lemon juice. Ten

Over Centuries Hundreds Of Years Dance Has Been And Always
Over centuries hundreds of years dance has been and always will be a major part of every
culture. It is used as a form of expression which incorporates many types such as art, prayer,
meditation, fitness, therapy and the list goes on. Dance is not only a resource for such things, but
it is also a lifestyle for many, including it in their everyday lives.
Throughout history dance was used solely for worship reasons. Dance goes as far back as the
ancient Egyptian days; it s possible it could go back even further before the history of it was even
being recorded. What we do know is that there is even written passages in the bible that mention
dance. Some of the verses mentioned talk about dancing with joy of the lord and dancing ... Show

Another impactful woman was Katherine Dunham. Dunham had a serious passion for dance.
Unfortunately, at the time segregation still existed and black people were not allowed into the
same places as white people. When Katherine Dunham preformed at a business that features
dancers, the owners were blown away and wanted her back. Before she came back she told them
she wouldn t preform until black people were allowed to sit in and watch, they liked her so
much they agreed to it. Not only did Dunham break the norm by being one of the first black,
female performers, but she also made it possible for other people who aren t white be able to
enjoy her show as well. What Dunham achieved in her lifetime is very important and helped
contribute to ending segregation. These two are only two examples of how dance has helped shape
society and influence many. There are many other instances where dance has played a huge role in
the world.
Dances vary depending on the culture. Here in the United states we have various forms of
dance, whether you re doing the chicken dance, whipping, or nay naying, these are all examples
of modern day dances in America. We could even look back to the days where men and women
went to the parlor in their greased hair and poodle skirts and danced to some ol time rock n roll.
There are so many countries that have their own known dances, just like we do in the US. In one

Why There Are More Than Students
WHY THERE ARE MORE FEMALE STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITY
University is a place providing people with higher education and training, where they can
gain not only academic but also social knowledge. Historically, men have always been considered
superior to women for their strength and intelligence. Typical stereotypes are that while the
males are more rational, decisive and stronger; the females are more fragile and delicate. To
demonstrate the long held belief, it can be seen that the majority of leaders, politicians, scientists
and business people are men. However, the proportion of male students attending UK
universities has been falling behind the other gender in recent years, which may trigger several
problems. According to (TG,2013), In 2010 11, there were more female (55%) than male full
time undergraduates (45%) enrolled at university a trend which shows no sign of shrinking. This
essay will discuss the causes and effects of the manifested issue and possible solutions to attract
more male undergraduates to universities.
The reasons leading to this situation including individual, family, school, and social factors.

women in society. So, they could gain knowledge on how to modestly behave in a lot of societal
aspects such as social class, marriage and in terms of education. The purpose of males trough this

Physical Therapy Research Paper
Whether you play sports, have an active job, or enjoy fun activities you have probably injured
yourself at some point in your life. If the injury had affected your daily life perhaps you had the
option of rehab. The types of rehab can vary, but as I learned from personal experience and
observing my field site, physical therapyis the most common form of rehabilitation. In today s
society, we have access to a ton of health benefits that many people before us have never had. A
big field that is growing is physical therapy. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (2014)
physical therapy is projected to grow 36 percent from 2010 to 2020. This would make physical

Whenever I heard the word physical therapist I would think of soccer players with torn ALCs,
not people with long term breathing problems or infants with disabilities. I never really knew all
the injuries, whether external or internal, that physical therapist could treat. Like me, many
believe that physical therapists help physically injured people by evaluating their injury and
assigning them exercises to ease their recovery. These articles have taught me a physical
therapist s job is way more than just that. Physical therapists are extremely educated and have
immense knowledge about the body s movement. They are the base of a patients support team.
Not only do they assisted their patients with their injury, but they also give them the confidence
and support they need to move forward and positivity accept their injury. After learning exercise
can help depression, it made me think about the importance of physical exercise for physical
therapy patients. Many patients receiving physical therapy are receiving this care because an
injury has occurred to them. Sometimes these injuries can completely change one s way of life
affecting them not only physically, but also mentally. It s easy to start to feel depressed when
something big like a life altering injury occurs. I can personally speak from experience that

Habit And Haggard Imperialism
Luckily, the Nesbit and Haggard consulted Budge in order to contextualize their novels instead of
Petrie. According to Sands O Connor:
E. Nesbit and H. Rider Haggard wrote fantasies about Ancient Egypt that depicted, for child
readers, a particular set of views about race, religion, and nation. These views were not the then
popular views of Sir William Flinders Petrie, but the more liberal views of E. A. Wallis Budge.
Through fantasy, Nesbit and Haggard were able to break from traditional views and offer children a
vision of a past and future empires that would embrace cultures, accept multiple religions, and
promote political and cultural reform.
As such, Sands O Connor argues that while these authors were doing somewhat positive work in
trying to properly contextualize their work, the liberalism of Budge ultimately supported
imperialism. Even if he was a less inflammatory Egyptologist than Petrie, the portrayal of ancient
Egyptian magic, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sands O Conner s analysis of this agreeable, as even after reading the plethora of historical
information inserted into a novel like The Story of the Amulet, it s still incredibly evident that
ancient Egypt is seen as a fictional place where there s real magic and curses, rather than a
historical kingdom. For example, another work of fiction, Lot No. 249 (1892), depicts ancient
Egyptian magic as well. Lot No. 249, written by Arthur Conan Doyle, is a short horror story that
depicts an Oxford college student who reanimates a mummy using ancient Egyptian magic. This
narrative seems to have an interesting commentary on Egyptomania in academics. The short story
revolves around Abercrombie Smith, a medical student at Oxford College, and his neighbor
Edward Bellingham. Bellingham is portrayed as a fanatical Egyptology student, and even goes as
far as to keep an Egyptian mummy that he purchased from

The Nile s Impact On Africa
Considered the longest river in the world at about 4,258 miles, the Nile has a huge impact on
Africa. This extremely long river is the source of many crops throughout the River Valley region.
Many people depend on the Nile to grow their crops. This has been part of tradition of those
surrounding the Nilefor many centuries. The Nile s flooding provides fertile land that is good for
crops, which is why so many people farm there. Because of all the flooding, in 1970 the Aswan
Dam was built to make sure that the flooding was controlled. The Nile flows through many
countries including Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia,
Eritrea, South Sudan, Sudan and Egypt. These countries make sure they use the Nile to... Show

These branches are called the White Nile, which originates in East Africa, and the Blue Nile, which
originates in Ethiopia. There are two main sources that feed the Nile River, including Lake Victoria,
which feeds the White Nile branch, and Lake Tuna, which feeds the Blue Nile branch. These
two branches join at Khartoum, in northeast Africa. The Nile River greatly influenced Egypt.
Although only 22% of the river flows through Egypt, the Nile is generally associated with it.
Many Egyptians lived near the river because it provided as a source of water, food,
transportation, and great soil for growing crops. Egypt greatly depended on the Nile, as it very
rarely rained, so floods provided the only source of moisture to sustain their crops. Alongside the
Nile also grew reeds, which the Egyptians used to make boats and paper. They would also catch
fish from the Nile to eat, and they would use nets to catch the birds that flew close to the water.
The Nile River and nearby area is home to many animals. This includes Nile monitors, frogs,
mongooses, turtles, tortoises, hippopotamus, wildebeest, baboons, over 100 species of fish, and
over 300 species of birds. Many crocodiles live on the banks of the Nile, and are the largest

Solar Cell Processing And Fabrication
Abstract Solar cells have long been regarded as the most promising choice for the development of
cost effective and reliable energy. This paper reviews recent progress and challenges in the
development of solar cell processing and fabrication. The comparison of various solar technologies
and future scope for this are briefly reviewed. Next, the issues and challenges in light trapping and
the nature of textured interface, quality of the active layer material and antireflection coatings are
detailed.
Index Terms Fabrication, Solar cell technology, Crystalline silicon
I. INTRODUCTION
As the world is suffering from an ever diminishing stock of fossil fuels and serious pollution
being caused by fuels, solar energy has become the most promising solution to the global energy
crisis. Among various methods for generating energy from the sun, solar cells are an effective
approach for converting solar energy into electrical energy for regular use. There is a wide range
of research activities around the world that has demonstrated the efficiency potential of crystalline
silicon cells. Most of the research studies has inferred, both theoretically and practically, that thin
crystalline silicon cells can have low manufacturing costs while not compromising on reasonable
efficiencies. Many researchers have attempted to study the impact of wafer thickness on the
performance of crystalline silicon cells, and the best efficiencies on wafers with thickness under
200Вµm are typically in the range

The Glorious Revolution Research Paper
After the Thirty Years War, Europe was shaken by a sequence of civil wars and rebellions. One of
the most famous struggles was the English Revolution. The revolution was the abdication of a king
from his throne by a Dutch prince with the support of English aristocrats. The Glorious Revolution
was caused by religious conflicts between the king and Parliament, which led to the king s
abdication, establishment of constitutional monarchy in England, and the development of the Bill
of Rights. The Glorious Revolution altered the outcome of England and gave birth to the
constitutional monarchy. In 1685, James II, brother of Charles II, came to power. James II

With the Bill of Rights Parliament was given the right to impose laws and collect taxes. This right
promoted separation of powers, which is a principle that divides government rule into three
branches: legislative (parliament), executive (monarch), and judiciary (judges), in which the
Parliament had the authority to make laws and the king to implement them. The document also
limited the monarch s power by stating that raising armies is prohibited without prior approval
from Parliament. The Bill sponsored a government according to constitutionalism, which is an
idea which the government ruled the nation based on a constitution, as well as popular
sovereignty, a principle that the government is run by the approval of the people through their
elected representative (Parliament). By the enforcing free election, the Bill endorsed democracy,
a system of government whereas the people hold absolute power and exercised directly by them

promoted liberty, which is the state of being free from repressive rule inflicted by the government

The Apocalypse Of John s Revelation
The Apocalypse of John, otherwise known as the book of Revelation, is a climatic example of
apocalyptic literature, ultimately ending with the end of the earthly world and the second coming
of Christ. The final text dated around 95 CE, the author identifies himself as John in the first
chapter of the book, causing many to believe that John the Apostle, who allegedly wrote the book
of John, also authored this apocalyptic text; however, scholars agree that John the Apostle wrote no
books of the New Testament, and therefore the author of Revelation is another unknown John
(Ehrman 2014, 367). No matter the authorship, the book of Revelationposes many questions to
biblical scholars, especially questions on what the symbolic texts means in historical context, and
how the text should be interpreted by a contemporary, twenty first century audience. In chapters 1 3
of Revelation, John depicts the setting in which he received the vision he is about to unveil. John
was imprisoned on Patmos, a Greek island, when an angel came to him with an apocalyptic vision.
The angel instructed him to write to seven churches about his vision, providing them information

Examples Of Selfishness In All My Sons
People Are Selfish It is said that 70% of the American population is classified as being selfish.
The author of All My Sons, Arthur Miller, reveals that most people really do not care about
others. In the play All My Sons, there is much conflict centered around one family relating to the
ideas of marriage, death, and lying. The character, Joe Keller, represents an image of how most
people do not care about others because he is very selfish. Joe s selfishness are shown through
how he blames others, and tries to cover up his mistakes, rather than owning up to them. This
interpretation is important because it makes the reader think of how they act, and if they would be
that 70% of the American population that is considered selfish. First, I will explain how Joe acts
selfish by blaming others. First, Miller shows how Joe acts selfish through how he blames others.
In the contents of the play, Joe tends to blameSteve, his previous business partner, for the majority
of his problems. Throughout the play Steve is in jail because Joe blamed him for manufacturing,
and distributing all of the defective plane parts that eventually lead to the death of twenty one
innocent pilots. Miller is insisting that, Joe was indeed responsible for the manufacture, and led
Steve to take the repercussions of this action, when Joe states, . . . the guy [Joe] who sold cracked
cylinder heads to the Army Air Force; the guy who made twenty one P 40 s crash in Australia. .

My three Study weaknesses Cell phone Highlighting paragraphs Photographic memory The three
study weaknesses that I have are turning off my cell phone during studying, highlighting entire
paragraphs when taking notes, and a photographic memory. While studying for an assignment or
quiz in high school, I struggled with having my cell phone on and near me. At any vibration, I
would have to stop studying and pick up the phone to make sure I was not missing an important
text, email, or phone call. Because of this distraction it caused me to reread sentences over and
over, which leads to my second weakness as adult highlighting entire paragraphs instead of
identifying the key points. This negative habit began while in a college English course.

Michael Porter’s Generic Strategies
Michael Porter s Generic Strategies According to Porter, strategies allow organizations to gain
competitive advantage from three different bases: cost leadership, differentiation and focus. Porter
calls these bases as generic strategies. Cost leadership emphasizes producing standardized products
at a very low per unit cost for consumers who are price sensitive. Differentiation is a strategy aimed
at producing products and services considered unique industry wide and directed at customers who
are relatively price insensitive. Focus means producing products and services that fulfill the needs
of small groups of customers (niche market). When we consider competitiveness, the following
questions are raised: 1.Should we compete on the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some companies which have successfully followed this strategy are: Wal Mart, Southwest Airlines,
Timex, Black Decker, Mc Donald s etc. A successful cost leadership strategy usually provides the
entire firm with high efficiency, low overhead, limited perks, intolerance of waste, intensive
screening of budget requests, and wide span of control efforts. However, some risks of pursuing this
strategy are that competitors might imitate the strategy, thus, driving overall industry profits down;
that technology breakthroughs in the industry may make the strategy ineffective; or that buyer s
interest may swing to other differentiating features besides price. Firms that succeed in cost
leadership often have the following internal strengths: Access to the capital required to make a
significant investment in production assets; this investment represents a barrier to entry that many
firms may not overcome. Skill in designing products for efficient manufacturing, for example,
having a small component count to shorten the assembly process. High level of expertise in
manufacturing process engineering. Efficient distribution channels. Its high market share means
that it will have high bargaining power relative to its suppliers and its low price will also serve as
a barrier to entry. Differentiation Strategies It is aimed at the broad mass market and involves the
creation of a product or service that is perceived unique throughout the industry. The company or

The Liberal World Order Essay examples
The Liberal World Order
The liberal world order is as much an economic idea, as it is a political one. The liberal world order
is very much based on the rule of law. Such things are apparent in a liberal world order such as
individual liberties, private property and free trade.
According to Ludwig von Mises, a liberal world order was inseparable from liberal economic
policies:
A nation s policy forms an integral whole. Foreign policy and domestic policy are closely linked
together, they condition each other. Economic nationalism is the corollary of the present day
domestic policies of government interference with business and of national planning, as free trade
was the complement of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first of these stated by Mises was a free market for labour, in other words, the level of wages
and conditions should be set by the employers, after negotiation with the employees, rather than
being controlled by the government.
The second economic constraint set out by Mises was that there should be a market economy,
whereby the forces in the market should be left to work freely, that supply and demand should be
left to determine price rather than the government regulating this.
Thirdly, free trade is seen as an essential aspect of a liberal world order, he stated that it must be
free to import and export between countries, with out control by governments.
Finally, there must be a free market monetary system in place, in that the government must not
control either the value or the flow of money in the economy
Mises also argued that, if a country s domestic economic activity was to be fully privatised, this
would mean that the economic activity in that country would effectively be free from political
influences, as it would not be the government controlling it.
He argued that the way to attain peace and prosperity was not by governing and controlling, but
rather by limiting the level of governance, and that society would naturally sort itself out.
This idea was also agreed by Ricardo:

Inherent Thoughtfulness And Emotionalism In Life Is Beautiful
Life can be very beautiful. In contrast, life for many people during World War 2 was not so
beautiful. During this time, the world was at war. Gladly, during all the madness, in 1945 innocent
people broke free, and concentration camps were liberated. The film Life is Beautiful, Guido
demonstrated the three qualities; Inherent thoughtfulness and emotionality, expressive coherence,
and wholeness and unity. Guido demonstrates the first quality, inherent thoughtfulness and
emotionality, when he first arrives at the Nazi Concentration Camp after him and his son were
taken from their home in Northern Italy by local German officials. Guido is playing against his
own emotions by setting aside all his personal worries and doubts to do everything possible to be
sure his son stays positive. Even though he realizes that he just lost the chance to say goodbye to
his wife, Dora, and what his son is about to experience, he still plays the role of a sanguine
character. When Guido played against his own emotions it showed the audience what Guido
mentally and emotionally would be willing to put himself through to protect his family and dignity
as a Jew. As a father, and the greatest role model his son will ever have, Guido protected his son
from the dangerous world that he knew was up ahead. This environment found in the Concentration
Camp is something that no young child should ever have to endure at such a young age. Guido

Without 100% deliverables on hand this could create a bullwhip in the supply chain. A bullwhip
effect is point to a lack of synchronization among supply chain members. This happens when
changes in sales ripples backward (e.g. bullwhip) because the supply patterns do not match the
demand patterns causing shortages and delays. The current supply chain used between Riordan
s China location and the local Chinese company is the responsive supply chain process. One of
the features of a responsive supply chain is that companies use a build to order and mass
customization process as a means to meet customer specification requirements. The local
Chinese company is a make to stock operation and future demands for fans are forecasted based
on previous three years sales. They use this method in hopes that previous sales history will
repeat itself without any significant changes. Implementing an agile supply chain process would
be beneficial for Riordan s China plant. Agile supply chain strategy is to be responsible and
flexible to customer needs. They are considered agile because they are responsive to change and
irregularity in demands of customers while reducing risk supply disorder on back end. The agile
supply chain combines the strengths of hedged and responsive supply

Barry Sanders Research Paper
Barry Sanders was, if not the best, one of the greatest football running backs in the history of the
NFL. Barry was a hard worker at home, and that is what carried him in the game of football.
This, in the end, is what helped him achieve a legendary status. In general, Barry Sanders was
one of the most versatile football players, but was also a very quiet person on the inside. Many
agree that Barry Sanders was one of the most versatile players to ever play the game of football.
When you tackled him, you could hardly believe that you had tackled him, and when he got by
you, you couldn t believe how he got by you, said a professional NFL defender. This is just some
of the things people that he had played with said about his elusiveness. Another example of Barry s
versatility is different. Barry was often versatile in the relations with other people. With his parents,
this was very common, as Barry would often by angered at his parent one moment, and friendly
with them the next. This example shows the other ways Barry was versatile, not just in football. In

The Role of Commander in Chief as Exemplified by Washington and Jackson
The position of President of the United States was created through the ratification of the United
States Constitution. One of the many roles assigned to the President was that of Commander in
Chief. To date, that role has been held by 45 different presidents. Two of the earliest presidents
exemplified the role of being Commander in Chief of a national military by personally leading a
United States militia to combat a rebellion and by using military intimidation to quell rebellions.
Both George Washingtonand Andrew Jackson exemplified the role of Commander in Chief when
they faced the issue of rebellion at different times in American history. George Washington quelled
a rebellion of farmers in Pittsburgh who were protesting the Whiskey Tax by physically leading an
armed militia into the city. Andrew Jackson, on the other hand, threatened South Carolina with
military force by passing the Force Bill following South Carolina s resistance to federal taxes.
Following the ratification of the Articles of Confederation in March of 1781, the Constitution of the
United States was placed in effect on March 4th, 1789 ( Nat l Constitution Center ). The
Constitution was created as a replacement for the Articles of Confederation with multiple purposes

Young Goodman Brown: Analysis of his faith
Personal experience plays a vital role when authors decide on the certain topics for their stories. A
factor like religion may determine an author s writing style. For example, an author who may have
had a Christian upbringing may write about faith, hell, or salvation; in contrast, one who had a
negative experience with religion as a child, may hint at departing from their family and finding one
s own religion. A well known author from the 1800s, Nathaniel Hawthorne, implements his
religious upbringing in his stories, Young Goodman Brown, The Scarlett Letter , and The House of
Seven Gables. The use of certain thematic elements in Young Goodman Brown help readers
understand how the main character lost his faith and became bitter towards religious people.
In the year 1804, Nathaniel Hawthorne was born to Massachusetts Bay colonists; Nathaniel
Hathorne and Elizabeth Clarke Manning in Salem, Massachusetts. Hawthorne s great grandfather,
John Hathorne, had the role of judging during the Salem Witch Trials in 1692 (Means).... Show

BLADDER CANCER Bladder cancer is the growth of malignant cells in the urinary bladder. Most
forms of bladder cancer start in the superficial layer of the transitional epithelium, and most often
affect the transitional cells. It may also be called transitional cell carcinoma or even urothelial

Urine flow may be routed out of the body through a stoma, or a variety of surgeries have been
developed to form artificial bladders from parts of the large or small intestine. In addition to
surgery, radiation and chemotherapy may be used in the battle against bladder cancer. More
than 70% of bladder cancer diagnoses are made when the cells affect only superficial layers of
tissue. Of course, this is excellent news because the survival rate for cancers caught early is
much better than for cancers caught in stage three or later. Even so, bladder cancer has an
unusual habit of growing in several places at once, so although it may be possible to catch one or
two tumors, any invisible third, fourth, and fifth tumors may not become symptomatic for another
several months. This means that the reoccurrence rate for bladder cancer is surprisingly high; up
to 80% percent of bladder cancer patients have at least one reoccurrence. The relation between
bladder cancer and carcinogenic substances is one of the most clearly demonstrated links between
environmental exposures and cancer. The good news is the bladder cancer is probably a
completely preventable disease, if exposure to the carcinogenic substances is limited or eradicated.

Johannes Vermeer And Albert Bierstadt
Two painters in history are known for their abilities to depict scenes in such realistic manners that
you would never know they are actually producing paintings. These painters are named Johannes
Vermeer and Albert Bierstadt. Both men came from different times and ethnic backgrounds.
Dutchman, Johannes Vermeer was born in the year 1632 and passed away in 1675. Over his
lifetime Vermeer used a style of paintingthat causing modern day historians and art lovers to
struggle to figure out how he painted such realistic scenes that mimicked photographs. His style
combined many pictorial depth cues while maintaining a strong sense of realism throughout the
relatively few paintings he produced. Next is Prussian artist Albert Bierstadt, who was born in the
year 1830 and passed away in 1903. Bierstadt is widely known for his highly realistic paintings of
the American West landscape. Combining pictorial depth cues and visual realism were his
specialties, while raising a large degree of illusionism in his paintings. In his lifetime Bierstadt
produced over 500 paintings, most of which pertained to the places he visited on his journey
across the United States. While Bierstadt and Vermeer were two very different men, their works
shared common elements. Vermeer s The Music Lesson and The Concert and Bierstadt s Yosemite
Valley share many of the same pictorial depth cues, realism, and even a sense of illusionism. In
order to analyze how these works of art are alike, three questions must be

Paradigmatic Shift Of System Theory Essay
The paradigmatic shift of system theory is the evolution of systematic thinking which is made
up of two systems; the simple cybernetics (first order) and cybernetics of cybernetics (second
order). The first system of the cybernetics also known as the simple cybernetics is the level in
which we view lives from a perspective in which we observe from a different aspect of the outside
view. I feel as though when it comes to the first order cybernetics, everything such as the personal
view becomes irrelevant to the situation because our focus is on describing what is happening
from a different pattern. As for the second order also known the cybernetics of cybernetics
transform our view where we are no longer viewing from the outside looking in. In the system,
we are now observing the situation from a standpoint which we are involved. In the book, I have
acknowledged that it is best to view things that I can observe from the outside looking in and also
being and participate in a situation which set my viewpoint than how others view certain situations.
In my opinion, in most cases as humans, individuals go through different phases in their lives to
learn, and to experience a different perspective when it comes, a prospect of our lives. When the
book talks about the system theory/cybernetics it is a little frustrating to comprehend from my
understanding and how to connect the theory to a real life situation. As I continue to read I m
trying to think how I would connect the

Riflescope Research Paper
Before selecting a riflescope you must have it clear in your mind what the main purpose of the
scope is. Many people own more than one scope to handle the various uses to which their rifle may
be put. For example, you would not necessarily use the same riflescope for target shooting as you
would hunting moving big game.
Even if you have unlimited funds to buy the best, a high magnification target scope will not be good
for hunting small game that might be moving fast. First and foremost the scope brings the target
closer, enabling you to shoot more accurately but not to easily follow moving objects. A good
scope will also gather as much light as possible in order to offer good visibility of the target under
variable lighting conditions, and enable a hunter for example, to shoot accurately for as many hours

The Riflescope Reticule
You are offered a good range of reticule options these days, so check these out when selecting a
riflescope and choose one that suits you best. Not all reticules are the same for the way you sight,
and you might find a difference in accuracy between reticules.
5. Eye Relief
Eye relief is important for high powered rifles, and is the distance you can keep the scope away
from your eye and still maintain a full field of view. High powered rifles can have a hard recoil, or
kick, and a good eye relief can protect your eyes from recoil damage. Check whether or not the eye
lens has a soft covering to further protect your eye.
6. Riflescope Adjustments
When selecting a riflescope, check out the adjustments that are available. Windage and elevation
adjustments should preferably offer an audible click for each step so you don t have to take your
eye off the scope for a visual. A reasonably good riflescope should offer at least Вј M.O.A. (Minute
Of Adjustment) which means Вј inch adjustment for each 100 yards. This translates proportionately
at other distances, so it is equal to ВЅ inch at 200 yards and 1/8 inch at 50 yards.

Explain What Occurred During The Scientific Revolution
What occurred during the scientific revolution? The scientific revolution was a period of time when
people started doubting the church. The scientific revolution modernizes the ways of thinking
dramatically. Nicolaus Copernicus made numerous discoveries about the universe; one of his
discoveries was the heliocentric theory which contradicts the church. Galileo confirming the
heliocentric theory brought him into conflict with the church. The scientific revolutionmodernizes
the ways of thinking dramatically.
Nicolaus Copernicus was an astronomer who arose the Heliocentric Theory which caused the
scientific revolution. Copernicus discoveries were very important, and impacted science to this day.
Copernicus constructed his data from his astronomical observations of sun centered cosmology. The
Heliocentric theory is the belief that the sun is in the center of the universe and all the planets
revolve around it. The Heliocentric Theory contradicts The Geocentric. Copernicus s heliocentric
solar system named the sun, rather than the earth, as the center of the solar system . (http:/
/www.biography.com/).
Copernicus came up with another theory. The theory was that the center of gravity is the earth, and
the earth is the center of the moon s orbit. Copernicus theory was that planets revolve around the
sun. People at this time didn t know how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

What Is The Failure Of Soft Power
Failure of Softer Power The history of the Soviet Union s actions shows the slow erosion of the
state s soft power. Post World War Two, the Soviet state had a great deal of soft power. Part of the
reason was that many prominent communists had led the resistance against fascism, and many
people believed that communism was the way of the future (who caused the cold warto end).
However, the first undercut came with de Stalinization in 1956 with exposure of Stalin s crimes the
Great Terror, hard labor camps, and purges. Importantly, de Stalinization came at the same time the
Soviet government took repressive actions against the Hungarian Revolution, which was protesting

Gorbachev reforms were attempts to open the country, not to end communism. However, the soft
power of communist promises had failed, coupled with the brutality of the state, and economic
decline meant the loss of faith in communism. In attempting to reform, the state lost control of the
reforming elite, who were working very hard to eliminate communism (Truman). The soft power
had failed as it lacked the convention to convince the middle class, even with the reforms, that their
lives were going to be better, as communism promised. Importantly, the government had many failed
promised and the people lacked faith in communism to continue living in the Soviet Union. For the
middle class, dictatorship seems strong, but a dictatorship s heavy handedness is brittle and will
crack under sufficient stress such as political and economic revolution from the bottom up. (the
reason why the cold war ended). The long term decay of the Soviet institutions had left the country
in internal decay, that ultimately could not survive the revolution from the bottom

Leonardo Da Vinci s Lady With Unicorn
In 1934 1936 Raphael restored a female portrait Lady with Unicorn. Leonardo Da Vinci had
painted this piece in the year 1505. Leonardo was a high renaissance painter and this picture is a
high renaissance piece. The time period of when it was created and the idealized figure, clarity,
and bright colors depict the type of renaissance piece. In the portrait a lady with long blonde hair,
and blue eyes is holding a greenish colored unicorn in her lap, which gives the portrait its name. It
was an oil painting that was applied to a wooden canvas. This piece was actually inspired by
Leonardo Da Vincis Mona Lisa(Young women with Unicorn , n.d.). The subject in the portrait has
been identified as Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The painting was attributed to Raphaelwhen he
restored it. Removal of a heavy repainting revealed the unicorn in this portrait. The unicorn is a
representation of purity in the medieval romance in place of Catherine s wheel. In the painting the
five elements of renaissance perspective are all portrayed.
The Lady with Unicorn shows linear perspective, aerial perspective, diminution of size, and

Roman Slaves
The ends aimed at in building Negro cabins should be: first, the health and comfort of the
occupants; second the convenience of nursing, surveillance, discipline, and the supply of food and
water; and thirdly, economy of construction...their houses should be provided with large glass
windows. Light and air are necessary to the proper making of blood.
Even though the conditions appear favorable, these instructions are not to be mistaken for
kindness. Seeing that the average cost of a slave in the American South in 1850 was equivalent to
$40,000 in today s dollars, slaves were an economic investment for the master. Keeping them well
kept was necessary so their labor will pay their cost off while eventually turning into profit.

First, there needs to be distinguished whether Ancient Rome, Nineteenth Century American South,

that the Nineteenth Century American South was a slave society while Ancient Rome and
contemporary Dubai can be categorized as societies with slaves. The American South relied nearly
solely on race based labor for plantations and this subordinate relationship further perpetuated post
emancipation with black codes and Jim Crow laws. However, while slavery was persistent in
Ancient Rome, it did not affect other social relationships in the society and it was not racially

One of the theme s in Monkey s Paw is be thankful for what you have. One piece of evidence that
lead me to my theme is, That s the worst of living so far out, balled Mr. White with sudden and
unlooked for violence; Of all the beastly, slushy, out of the way places to live in, this is the
worst. This supports my theme because it shows that how Mr. white was ungrateful for what he
had which I believe lead him to be greedy and use one of his wishes. Another piece of evidence
that supports my theme is, If you only cleared the house, you d be quite happy, wouldn t you! said
Herbert, with his hand on his shoulder. Well, wish for two hundred pounds, then; that ll just do it.
This supports my theme because this shows that both the son and the father where being greedy
and took it upon themselves to wish for something they could have lived without. These are some
reasons that lead me to believe that the themes of the story is trust your gut and be

Similarities Between Ma Joad And Tom Jod In Carl...
The phrase The People was prevalent in many of the depression novels and documentary that
have appeared in this class. In Grapes of Wrath, John Steinbeck uses Ma Joad and Tom Joad to
call to the people at a national level. This is also seen in Carl Sandburg s The People, Yes. In
Sandburg s poems, he seems to use the phrase The People in more macrocosmic terms. In his
poems, there seems to always be a flow of people when trying to focus on a particular group of
people or person. Sandburg refers to the unknown solider and the millions of names too many to
write on a tomb to discuss the group of soldiers when discussing the entire military group that
fought in the war (27). There is a sense that these people could have any face and be any one of...

For example, Sandburg describes Their shoe soles wearing holes in stone steps, their / hands
and gloves wearing soft niches in banisters of granite (34 35). The people here is the everyday
person. This could be in any town in any country. When the speaker in the work asks Who will
speak for the people? , the people are a whole, cohesive entity (38). There isn t a fracturing that
divides the people in to separate groups that need different voices to speak for their cause. The
speaker views the people as an entity that need to be protected from the dishonest people who
would be trying to take advantage of them. Due to the way that the speaker keeps the poem as
faceless and general as it does, the speaker seems to be both a part of the group and outside of it.
While the speaker is asking who will speak for the people, while he could be a part of this group,
there is an objectivity to the words and the way he depicts their actions that makes the speaker both
apart of the group and outside of it, as though the speaker is watching everything that is happening
around him, but not participating in

Analysis Of `` A New Light ``
The latter part of our semester has been centered around Black feminists. Their work has been
focused on the ways in which the intersectionality of gender and sexuality influence the lives of
women who live under systems of oppression in the United States. These systems that deeply
affect the way bodies of color, Black women very specifically, are able to conduct their lives.
Black women in particular, are vulnerable to these systems in a way unlike any other body in
America. Thinking back on the writings of Beth E. Richie, Angela Davis, and Audre Lord, I now
see Assata Shakurs Affirmation in a new light. Affirmation is a poem that speaks to the pain and
suffering Black bodies have endured, and even through all of this pain, it speaks of optimism. I
argue, that through the lens of Black feminism, we can re examine many organizations and
institutions in a way that can be truly be more inclusive of people of all walks of life. If systems
were created with regard for the most targeted groups of people and not just the majority , we may
truly see inclusive settings and we can benefit from the membership of people from different races,
class, gender identity, sexual orientation and age in these institutions.
In her autobiography, Assata Shakur said It is our duty to fight for our freedom. It is our duty to
win. We must love each other and support each other. We have nothing to lose but our chains. This
leads right into what I believe Affirmation is about. What I first

Importance Of Conflict Resolution
A conflict is a disagreement between two individuals. A conflict resolution is both individuals
having an understanding and coming to an agreement on the conflict. The conflict can be
resolved by both parties having a perspective of the other point of views. According to, Bisno, H.
(1988), Conflict, arguments, and change are natural parts of our lives, as well as the lives of
every agency, organization, and nation. Conflict resolution is a way for two or more parties to
find a peaceful solution to a disagreement among them. The disagreement may be personal,
financial, political, or emotional. When a dispute arises, often the best course of action is
negotiation to resolve the disagreement. The goals of negotiation is to produce a solution that all
parties can agree to, work as quickly as possible to find this solution, and improve, not hurt, the
relationship between the groups in conflict. Conflict resolution through negotiation can be good for
all parties involved. Often, each side will get more by participating in negotiations than they would
by walking away, and it can be a way for your group to get resources that might otherwise be out of
reach. What stood out to me during the reading were the many different approaches of handling
conflicts. Being a good listener is very important in resolving conflict. Having effective
communication skills is important .Making sound judgments and strategic decisions in negotiating
a conflict is standing firm for

From prominent rainforests in Brazil, all the way to Costa Rica, the devastation caused by deforestation is well known and right now it seems as if the effects are to an extent ignored. It is averaged that every second, 1 and a half acres of rainforest land is cut down. It is said that a great amount of the undiscovered plants and animals will not have a chance at being discovered, the ozone layer is depleting in the course, and the plants needed to fight pollution are dying or the process is being disrupted. (Wilson) In our daily world, with the increased awareness on such issues such as deforestation, we all have come to the knowledge of the potential dangers of this happening and what can happen to our world. Statistics show that only 30% of the earth s rainforests are left and that is an alarming number that can take years to boost back up. • 6. Over Centuries Hundreds Of Years Dance Has Been And Always Over centuries hundreds of years dance has been and always will be a major part of every culture. It is used as a form of expression which incorporates many types such as art, prayer, meditation, fitness, therapy and the list goes on. Dance is not only a resource for such things, but it is also a lifestyle for many, including it in their everyday lives. Throughout history dance was used solely for worship reasons. Dance goes as far back as the ancient Egyptian days; it s possible it could go back even further before the history of it was even being recorded. What we do know is that there is even written passages in the bible that mention dance. Some of the verses mentioned talk about dancing with joy of the lord and dancing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another impactful woman was Katherine Dunham. Dunham had a serious passion for dance. Unfortunately, at the time segregation still existed and black people were not allowed into the same places as white people. When Katherine Dunham preformed at a business that features dancers, the owners were blown away and wanted her back. Before she came back she told them she wouldn t preform until black people were allowed to sit in and watch, they liked her so much they agreed to it. Not only did Dunham break the norm by being one of the first black, female performers, but she also made it possible for other people who aren t white be able to enjoy her show as well. What Dunham achieved in her lifetime is very important and helped contribute to ending segregation. These two are only two examples of how dance has helped shape society and influence many. There are many other instances where dance has played a huge role in the world. Dances vary depending on the culture. Here in the United states we have various forms of dance, whether you re doing the chicken dance, whipping, or nay naying, these are all examples of modern day dances in America. We could even look back to the days where men and women went to the parlor in their greased hair and poodle skirts and danced to some ol time rock n roll. Why There Are More Than Students WHY THERE ARE MORE FEMALE STUDENTS IN UNIVERSITY University is a place providing people with higher education and training, where they can gain not only academic but also social knowledge. Historically, men have always been considered superior to women for their strength and intelligence. Typical stereotypes are that while the males are more rational, decisive and stronger; the females are more fragile and delicate. To demonstrate the long held belief, it can be seen that the majority of leaders, politicians, scientists and business people are men. However, the proportion of male students attending UK universities has been falling behind the other gender in recent years, which may trigger several problems. According to (TG,2013), In 2010 11, there were more female (55%) than male full time undergraduates (45%) enrolled at university a trend which shows no sign of shrinking. If the injury had affected your daily life perhaps you had the option of rehab. The types of rehab can vary, but as I learned from personal experience and observing my field site, physical therapyis the most common form of rehabilitation. In today s society, we have access to a ton of health benefits that many people before us have never had. A big field that is growing is physical therapy. These articles have taught me a physical therapist s job is way more than just that. Physical therapists are extremely educated and have immense knowledge about the body s movement. They are the base of a patients support team. Not only do they assisted their patients with their injury, but they also give them the confidence and support they need to move forward and positivity accept their injury. After learning exercise can help depression, it made me think about the importance of physical exercise for physical therapy patients. Many patients receiving physical therapy are receiving this care because an injury has occurred to them. Sometimes these injuries can completely change one s way of life affecting them not only physically, but also mentally. • 11. Habit And Haggard Imperialism Luckily, the Nesbit and Haggard consulted Budge in order to contextualize their novels instead of Petrie. According to Sands O Connor: E. Nesbit and H. Rider Haggard wrote fantasies about Ancient Egypt that depicted, for child readers, a particular set of views about race, religion, and nation. These views were not the then popular views of Sir William Flinders Petrie, but the more liberal views of E. A. Wallis Budge. Through fantasy, Nesbit and Haggard were able to break from traditional views and offer children a vision of a past and future empires that would embrace cultures, accept multiple religions, and promote political and cultural reform. As such, Sands O Connor argues that while these authors were doing somewhat positive work in trying to properly contextualize their work, the liberalism of Budge ultimately supported imperialism. Sands O Conner s analysis of this agreeable, as even after reading the plethora of historical information inserted into a novel like The Story of the Amulet, it s still incredibly evident that ancient Egypt is seen as a fictional place where there s real magic and curses, rather than a historical kingdom. For example, another work of fiction, Lot No. 249 (1892), depicts ancient Egyptian magic as well. Lot No. 249, written by Arthur Conan Doyle, is a short horror story that depicts an Oxford college student who reanimates a mummy using ancient Egyptian magic. This narrative seems to have an interesting commentary on Egyptomania in academics. This has been part of tradition of those surrounding the Nilefor many centuries. The Nile s flooding provides fertile land that is good for crops, which is why so many people farm there. Many Egyptians lived near the river because it provided as a source of water, food, transportation, and great soil for growing crops. Egypt greatly depended on the Nile, as it very rarely rained, so floods provided the only source of moisture to sustain their crops. Alongside the Nile also grew reeds, which the Egyptians used to make boats and paper. INTRODUCTION As the world is suffering from an ever diminishing stock of fossil fuels and serious pollution being caused by fuels, solar energy has become the most promising solution to the global energy crisis. Among various methods for generating energy from the sun, solar cells are an effective approach for converting solar energy into electrical energy for regular use. There is a wide range of research activities around the world that has demonstrated the efficiency potential of crystalline silicon cells. Most of the research studies has inferred, both theoretically and practically, that thin crystalline silicon cells can have low manufacturing costs while not compromising on reasonable efficiencies. Many researchers have attempted to study the impact of wafer thickness on the performance of crystalline silicon cells, and the best efficiencies on wafers with thickness under 200Вµm are typically in the range ... The revolution was the abdication of a king from his throne by a Dutch prince with the support of English aristocrats. The Glorious Revolution was caused by religious conflicts between the king and Parliament, which led to the king s abdication, establishment of constitutional monarchy in England, and the development of the Bill of Rights. The document also limited the monarch s power by stating that raising armies is prohibited without prior approval from Parliament. • 22. The Apocalypse Of John s Revelation The Apocalypse of John, otherwise known as the book of Revelation, is a climatic example of apocalyptic literature, ultimately ending with the end of the earthly world and the second coming of Christ. The final text dated around 95 CE, the author identifies himself as John in the first chapter of the book, causing many to believe that John the Apostle, who allegedly wrote the book of John, also authored this apocalyptic text; however, scholars agree that John the Apostle wrote no books of the New Testament, and therefore the author of Revelation is another unknown John (Ehrman 2014, 367). No matter the authorship, the book of Revelationposes many questions to biblical scholars, especially questions on what the symbolic texts means in historical context, and how the text should be interpreted by a contemporary, twenty first century audience. In chapters 1 3 of Revelation, John depicts the setting in which he received the vision he is about to unveil. John was imprisoned on Patmos, a Greek island, when an angel came to him with an apocalyptic vision. The angel instructed him to write to seven churches about his vision, providing them information and urging them to heed his prophecy. John write to these churches, Therefore write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after these things (Revelation 1:19). • 24. Examples Of Selfishness In All My Sons People Are Selfish It is said that 70% of the American population is classified as being selfish. The author of All My Sons, Arthur Miller, reveals that most people really do not care about others. In the play All My Sons, there is much conflict centered around one family relating to the ideas of marriage, death, and lying. The character, Joe Keller, represents an image of how most people do not care about others because he is very selfish. Joe s selfishness are shown through how he blames others, and tries to cover up his mistakes, rather than owning up to them. This interpretation is important because it makes the reader think of how they act, and if they would be that 70% of the American population that is considered selfish. First, I will explain how Joe acts selfish by blaming others. First, Miller shows how Joe acts selfish through how he blames others. In the contents of the play, Joe tends to blameSteve, his previous business partner, for the majority of his problems. Throughout the play Steve is in jail because Joe blamed him for manufacturing, and distributing all of the defective plane parts that eventually lead to the death of twenty one innocent pilots. Miller is insisting that, Joe was indeed responsible for the manufacture, and led Steve to take the repercussions of this action, when Joe states, . . . the guy [Joe] who sold cracked cylinder heads to the Army Air Force; the guy who made twenty one P 40 s crash in Australia. . Michael Porter’s Generic Strategies Michael Porter s Generic Strategies According to Porter, strategies allow organizations to gain competitive advantage from three different bases: cost leadership, differentiation and focus. Porter calls these bases as generic strategies. Cost leadership emphasizes producing standardized products at a very low per unit cost for consumers who are price sensitive. Differentiation is a strategy aimed at producing products and services considered unique industry wide and directed at customers who are relatively price insensitive. Focus means producing products and services that fulfill the needs of small groups of customers (niche market). Some companies which have successfully followed this strategy are: Wal Mart, Southwest Airlines, Timex, Black Decker, Mc Donald s etc. A successful cost leadership strategy usually provides the entire firm with high efficiency, low overhead, limited perks, intolerance of waste, intensive screening of budget requests, and wide span of control efforts. However, some risks of pursuing this strategy are that competitors might imitate the strategy, thus, driving overall industry profits down; that technology breakthroughs in the industry may make the strategy ineffective; or that buyer s interest may swing to other differentiating features besides price. Firms that succeed in cost leadership often have the following internal strengths: Access to the capital required to make a significant investment in production assets; this investment represents a barrier to entry that many firms may not overcome. Skill in designing products for efficient manufacturing, for example, having a small component count to shorten the assembly process. High level of expertise in manufacturing process engineering. Efficient distribution channels. Its high market share means that it will have high bargaining power relative to its suppliers and its low price will also serve as a barrier to entry. The liberal world order is very much based on the rule of law. Such things are apparent in a liberal world order such as individual liberties, private property and free trade. According to Ludwig von Mises, a liberal world order was inseparable from liberal economic policies: A nation s policy forms an integral whole. The first of these stated by Mises was a free market for labour, in other words, the level of wages and conditions should be set by the employers, after negotiation with the employees, rather than being controlled by the government. The second economic constraint set out by Mises was that there should be a market economy, whereby the forces in the market should be left to work freely, that supply and demand should be left to determine price rather than the government regulating this. Thirdly, free trade is seen as an essential aspect of a liberal world order, he stated that it must be free to import and export between countries, with out control by governments. Finally, there must be a free market monetary system in place, in that the government must not control either the value or the flow of money in the economy Mises also argued that, if a country s domestic economic activity was to be fully privatised, this would mean that the economic activity in that country would effectively be free from political influences, as it would not be the government controlling it. He argued that the way to attain peace and prosperity was not by governing and controlling, but rather by limiting the level of governance, and that society would naturally sort itself out. The Role of Commander in Chief as Exemplified by Washington and Jackson The position of President of the United States was created through the ratification of the United States Constitution. One of the many roles assigned to the President was that of Commander in Chief. To date, that role has been held by 45 different presidents. Two of the earliest presidents exemplified the role of being Commander in Chief of a national military by personally leading a United States militia to combat a rebellion and by using military intimidation to quell rebellions. Both George Washingtonand Andrew Jackson exemplified the role of Commander in Chief when they faced the issue of rebellion at different times in American history. George Washington quelled a rebellion of farmers in Pittsburgh who were protesting the Whiskey Tax by physically leading an armed militia into the city. Andrew Jackson, on the other hand, threatened South Carolina with military force by passing the Force Bill following South Carolina s resistance to federal taxes. More than 70% of bladder cancer diagnoses are made when the cells affect only superficial layers of tissue. Of course, this is excellent news because the survival rate for cancers caught early is much better than for cancers caught in stage three or later. Even so, bladder cancer has an unusual habit of growing in several places at once, so although it may be possible to catch one or two tumors, any invisible third, fourth, and fifth tumors may not become symptomatic for another several months. This means that the reoccurrence rate for bladder cancer is surprisingly high; up to 80% percent of bladder cancer patients have at least one reoccurrence. Combining pictorial depth cues and visual realism were his specialties, while raising a large degree of illusionism in his paintings. In his lifetime Bierstadt produced over 500 paintings, most of which pertained to the places he visited on his journey across the United States. The first system of the cybernetics also known as the simple cybernetics is the level in which we view lives from a perspective in which we observe from a different aspect of the outside view. I feel as though when it comes to the first order cybernetics, everything such as the personal view becomes irrelevant to the situation because our focus is on describing what is happening from a different pattern. As for the second order also known the cybernetics of cybernetics transform our view where we are no longer viewing from the outside looking in. In the system, we are now observing the situation from a standpoint which we are involved. In the book, I have acknowledged that it is best to view things that I can observe from the outside looking in and also being and participate in a situation which set my viewpoint than how others view certain situations. In my opinion, in most cases as humans, individuals go through different phases in their lives to learn, and to experience a different perspective when it comes, a prospect of our lives. • 55. Analysis Of `` A New Light `` The latter part of our semester has been centered around Black feminists. Their work has been focused on the ways in which the intersectionality of gender and sexuality influence the lives of women who live under systems of oppression in the United States. These systems that deeply affect the way bodies of color, Black women very specifically, are able to conduct their lives. Black women in particular, are vulnerable to these systems in a way unlike any other body in America. Thinking back on the writings of Beth E. Richie, Angela Davis, and Audre Lord, I now see Assata Shakurs Affirmation in a new light. Affirmation is a poem that speaks to the pain and suffering Black bodies have endured, and even through all of this pain, it speaks of optimism. A conflict resolution is both individuals having an understanding and coming to an agreement on the conflict. The conflict can be resolved by both parties having a perspective of the other point of views. According to, Bisno, H. (1988), Conflict, arguments, and change are natural parts of our lives, as well as the lives of every agency, organization, and nation. Conflict resolution is a way for two or more parties to find a peaceful solution to a disagreement among them. The disagreement may be personal, financial, political, or emotional. When a dispute arises, often the best course of action is negotiation to resolve the disagreement. The goals of negotiation is to produce a solution that all parties can agree to, work as quickly as possible to find this solution, and improve, not hurt, the relationship between the groups in conflict. Conflict resolution through negotiation can be good for all parties involved. Often, each side will get more by participating in negotiations than they would by walking away, and it can be a way for your group to get resources that might otherwise be out of reach. What stood out to me during the reading were the many different approaches of handling conflicts. Being a good listener is very important in resolving conflict. Having effective communication skills is important .Making sound judgments and strategic decisions in negotiating a conflict is standing firm for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
