Types of paragraphs
1. Types of paragraphs
IN THE FOLLOWING PRESENTATION WE WILL FIND THE
TYPES OF PARAGRAPHS THAT EXIST AND HIS DEFINITION,
WITH SOME EXAMPLES
2. Descriptive paragraph
It describes, following a logical criterion to a
person, object or event.
Example: It had a few round very vivacious eyes and a
few long gray moustaches. His tail was looking like a black
elastic tape. A few ducklings were wallowing in the reservoir,
seemed to a flock of yellow canaries, and his mother,
everything the white one with red legs, it was straining in
teaching them to sink the head in the water.
3. Explanatory paragraph
It offers an information more detailed and
extended about the topic that is exposed.
Example: A tree is a plant, of trunk of wood, which

4. Expository Paragraph

5. Argumentative paragraph
Tries to convince with reasons and facts what
one denies or affirm in a topic, in a
information o in one fact
Example: The Routine, synthesis of all the renouncements, is the habit of
giving up thinking. In the routine ones everything is a minor effort; the sloth
rusts his intelligence. Every habit is a risk, because the familiarity agrees to
the detestable things and to the unworthy persons. The acts that initially were
provoking modesty, finish for they look like natives; the eye perceives the

6. Narrative paragraph
Reports about the facts or actions in a certain
time.
Example: It divided the train, black, length, with his two

7. Comparative paragraph
