Tropical grasslands have two distinct seasons - a short rainy season and a long dry season. They are located near the equator between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn in Africa, Australia, South America, and India. Tropical grasslands are dominated by tall grasses and may include some drought-resistant trees or shrubs. They are home to many herbivores like zebras, giraffes, and buffalo as well as carnivores such as lions and hyenas.
