This document discusses techniques for evaluating translation quality, including soft reviews to check for errors, formatting, numbers, and proper nouns; confirming graphics are culturally relevant; independent reviews by another translator; back translation which translates back to the original language but is expensive, time-consuming and not very reliable; and field testing on a small sample to check readability and comprehension. The goal is to ensure the translation accurately conveys the intended content in a consistent manner for the target audience.
