• The objective of ISO-9000 family of Quality management is => Customer satisfaction.
• ISO-14000 is for Environment management
• Total Quality Management (TQM) focuses on : Employee & Customer
• Responsible for quality objective : Top level management
• TQM & ISO both focuses on : Customer
• According to Deming, Quality problems are : Due to management
• While setting Quality objective, Customer need to be considered.
• CMM stands for Capability maturity model.

• Fault tree analysis method is used to determine reliability of product.
• Six sigma is represented by normal distribution curve.
• Poka yoke is a policy which prevents occurrence of human errors.
• Clan control is a feature of understanding the formation and processes of a dominant culture.
• Setting standards is always the first step in a control process so that actual performance can be
measured against those set standards.
• Kaizen is an incremental approach to improving quality.
• Strategic surveillance is the process of monitoring the environment - both internal and external.
