After countless tries by my ancestors to establish a life in the United States it seemed destiny had a
place for me. Come to think of it, may it wasn t destiny calling my family to cross the border, rather

two Boston lawyers, Louis Brandeis and Samuel Warren, defined it as the right to be let alone. Since

A Rutgers professor summarized the problems deriving from the right to privacy when he wrote, If
human rights such as the right to be let alone are to enjoy the force of law, it seems desirable for the
right to be spelled out carefully. The right to privacy is entirely a judicial interpretation and creation,
meaning that it has little permanence or substance. Only a constitutional amendment can insure that
one s privacy is an undisputed, inalienable right.
So, why isn t this amendment before Congress? The first reason is that many policymakers believe
that the right to privacy is too hard to define, and therefore cannot be worded into an amendment.
However, the current vulnerability of a Fourteenth Amendment based right to privacy justifies an
amendment which states simply that every American citizen possesses the basic right to personal
privacy. If the amendment were a simple declaration of the right s existence, then the definition of
privacy, like freedom of speech, would be left to the interpretation of the Court. This new amendment
would negate Justice Rehnquist s strong position that the Fourteenth Amendment, an Amendment

I stood still, but currently there is a concerto of noise beneath my feet, a deep and rumbling earthquake
shifting the rocks on which I stand with every step I take. It s not just my steps that create the
symphony; behind me is Agathe, standing on the stones and laughing as Quartz slips into the shallows.

Mackey Arena Game Analysis
Walking into Mackey Arena is like walking into a basketball shrine, filled with history. That history is
built upon the rivalry between Purdue and the school down south, Indiana University. On February 28,
I was fortunate enough to be in Mackey Arena for this historical rivalry game and senior night, a game
that meant Purdue could take the Big Ten Title in a win. Purdue did just that, winning 86 to 75. I was
very pleased with the game and it exceeded all expectations I had for the huge rivalry. As a student
who has been to every home game this season, I joined the lottery system prior to the game so that I

The period of the twentieth century, specifically the nineteen twenties, was a historically significant
event in history due to the dramatic changes politically and socially. In this time period there was
many altercations between two specific groups who had completely different outlooks on change.
Modernists, or people who tended to be in favor of new ideas, styles and social trends, embraced the
idea of change during this time period whereas traditionalist, or people who are opposed to change,

Type I: Corruption
Corruption is an intentional, dishonest act where an employee abuses their position in the company for
personal gain (www.curtin.edu.au). It can take many forms. Bribery is a form of corruption. This is
receiving or paying for illegal advantages. An example of bribery is a company official paying a
public official to gain advantage over competitors. Embezzlement is another form of corruption. This
is when someone has legal access, but not ownership of assets, that steals them for personal gain. For
example, the treasurer of the local PTA may decide to take PTA funds to buy her daughter s prom
dress. Conflict of interest is another form of corruption. If the purchasing manager sits on the board of
his wife s company and then awards contracts to her company, that is a conflict of interest.

abroad? Some people believe that getting up and moving to a different is not hard, but it is not as easy
as it sounds. People do so for various reasons: to escape as a refugee if there are certain circumstances
and issues like a revolution or war are going in a country or immigrate to change their life forever.
In my case, I decided to move to a foreign country as an exchange student, surviving a long forty two
