An attitude is described as an expression of favor or disfavor towards people, places, things, or events. It contains three components - cognitive, affective, and behavioral. However, some views see the cognitive and behavioral components as derivatives of underlying affect or beliefs. Attitudes can be positive or negative. Positive attitudes promote optimism while negative attitudes promote pessimism and are more difficult to overcome. Both attitudes are influenced by values, family, culture, religion, and social interactions.

 A criticism of the tripartite view of attitude is that
it requires cognitive,affective,and behavioral
association of an attitude to be consistent,but
this may be implausible.Thus some views of
attitudes structure see the cognitive and
behavioural components as derivative of affect
or affect and behaviour as derivative of
underlying beliefs.

of any situation and you becomes an
optimistic person.

6.  A negative attitude is characterised by a great
disdain for everything. Someone who constantly
points out the negative in everything can never
be successful in life.
 A negative attitude is contagious and therefore
avoiding people with one is the best way of
prevention . Once you have a negative attitude,
you will unlikely be able to recover and self
fulfilling prophecy takes a hold.

standards of behaviour.
It is expression of favor or disfavor for

A part of a persons character. A part of persons personality.
Showcase a particular person’s moral
ethics and his overall character.
Highlight’s a person’s behavior through
the personality.
