The Failure Of Adolf Hitler
Most people have had many different checkereds throughout their life, some may have more
successes and or failures than others but either way, not many people have had such a great
amount of success as well as failures as Adolf Hitler. Throughout the course of his life he
accomplished many things and got away with many of them that some would never think one
could, as well as failures that can get so gruesome that thousands and or millions of people get
killed. Over the course of his leadership Hitler had a very significant leadership over Germany, he
used his leadership for world superiority and to take over Germany over the time of his ruling
/power he had over Germany. Overall Adolf Hitlerwas a bad man and did many terrible things over
the many years that he was in power. Background history
Background history about that leads up to his leadership. Hitler grew up in a house of 7 siblings
that all died at a young age including his parents by the time he was 19 he had lost both of his
parents, he had a overall normal childhood other than his dad which disciplined him very much
which overall damaged him to becoming a well, good hearted child. Growing up hitler wanted to
become a artist for a living. When he became old enough Hitler produced his dream and took an
exam to the Vienna Academy of Arts. This was a Jewish academy and because he got declined, he
started to hate jews. After he got declined he felt he had nothing going for him, he then became
emotionally crushed

Family And Medical Leave
Overview
As hard as it is to believe that the most free and together country isn t all that free and together the
United States of America has no government sponsored paid family or medical leave program. With
this little to no support from the government for people starting families, what is usually a happy
and exciting event for families can be turned into a tragic ultimatum, leaving parents with the
decision of whether they want to start a family or be able to pay their bills. In 1993, The Family and
Medical Leave Act began to guarantee employees up to 12 weeks unpaid leave, but due to a
number of exceptions, the FMLA only ended up covering about 60 percent of American workers
with this guarantee (Dusenbury). In addition to the tough

The, Taoist, And Aristotelian Views On The Soul s...
Does the soul exist? If so, what is the soul? Moreover, what is its function in daily life? For
millennia, schools of philosophy have investigated these questions and attempted to answer them
by devising complex philosophies, which were in some cases completely alien to our modern
ideas. In this essay, I will discuss the Egyptian, Taoist, and Aristotelian views on the souls function
and composition during life. Then, I will compare these philosophies and discuss which aspects of
each philosophy I find the most plausible from a realist s point of view. Concerning the composition
and function of the soul, I argue that the Aristotelian and Taoist philosophies are equally plausible,
but that the Egyptian philosophy also had plausible aspects. Ultimately, however, it is difficult to
determine which theory the most plausible (from a realist s perspective) without tackling the bigger
question does the soul exist?
The ancient Egyptians were soul dualists, meaning that they believed that a person had two or
more souls (in this case nine).1 In Egypt, one of the main purposes of the nine souls was to help
the deceased reach the afterlife. 2 In fact, the Egyptians believed that some souls only existed after
death, but I will not discuss these in this paper. Instead, I will focus on the role of the soul during
one s life.
The Egyptians identified six souls that were present during life: Khabit, Ba, Khat, Ib, and Ren.3
The Khabit was considered a shadow that could detach itself

The Post American World Essay
The Post American World
America was conducting business as usual, but others were joining the game. (Zakaria, 221). All
this time we thought we were on top, we were actually slowly becoming less and less of leader
and more a bystander as the rest of the world is slowly rising around us. Zakaria shows in that
quote that as America has been continuing business like always, and because of this we have failed
to realize our standing with the world around us. In the book The Post American World, Zakaria
shows us the challenges that America faces today. I believe the United Statesis most affected by our
ignorance, competition, and worldly participation.

I think it s a good thing that America has competition, we need the motivation and the support these
larger countries can offer.
The last way that America is most affected by the rise of the rest is through our worldly
participation. In a globalized world, almost all problems spill over borders. (Zakaria, 34). On a
frequent basis America tends to interfere with many global issues. With that we spend lots of
money we may not currently have. I don t think that s a wise choice of America, but Zakaria
states When the United States involves itself abroad; it always believes that it is genuinely trying
to help other countries better themselves (Zakaria, 35). America does have good intentions but
needs to face the reality that every issue can t also become ours. Now with other countries rising
we can allow them to step in a fill that gap America can no longer tend to.
By adjusting to the new reality of our ignorance, competition, and worldly participation I believe
America would put itself in a good place to deal with the rise of the rest . I think Zakaria points
out true issues America has faced and is yet to face. It s all about the present, as much as we are
driving toward the future, it s really important to deal what we have at hand. Although we may be
slowing in our advancements America is still in a very good position as a country and has come a
long way. Zakaria

Reciprocal Coevolution and Plant-Pollinator Interactions...
Interactions between plants and their pollinators has been discussed in the past very frequently.
Since the Darwinian times, the topic flourished. There are two aspects that have an important role
in this relationship that have been affected by the history. The first being the floral mechanisms and
the ecological relationships between plants and the second are the evolutionary processes that
affect the pollination (1). As the interest progressed, the approaches became more specific and
detailed which led to a more fine scaled insight into plant pollinator relationship specialization. Due
to specific interactions between the plant and its pollinator a terminology of a plant syndrome has
been introduced, which gives a possibility to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A generalized pollination system that has been widespread as well as the specialization of the
pollination systems has been questioned (Waser, 1996). The specificity of the pollination
relationships is thought to have roots in the preference of individuals. Specific scents, colours,
shapes and morphology and combinations of those attract different groups of pollinators. The
obvious colour preference or simply the morphology of the flower that determines the size of a
species that can get to the pollen and nectar affect the pollinator s response. Due to certain
restrictions, only specific species can act as a vector and that led to specialization of a relationship.
It was more of a key and lock mechanism rather than a coincidental coevolution. Since the species
that could not get to the specific flower, carried on until it found a suitable one. This therefore does
not necessarily mean that either the flower or the vector altered their morphology just to increase
the fitness. All of the above arguments are also thought to be the root of the mentioned plant
syndrome that specifies the pollinator response and the species that acts as a vector. There have
been several links suggested and studied into depth. One of them was linking pollinator behaviour
to plant mating patterns. That suggests a high specialization of a relationship since either of them
had to adjust their natural behaviour to the organism they interact with. According to the National
Research Council

Understanding Long Term Conditions And Palliative Care
The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate understanding of long term conditions and
palliative care. Nursing care in general entails holistic care and collaborative care of individuals
of all ages, families, groups and communities, whether sick or well (Royal College of Nursing,
(RCN) 2007). Better management of lifelong conditions has been the priority of the National
Health Service since the 1990s. When long term conditions are managed well in the community,
patients can live a quality life without visiting hospital frequently (RCN, 2011). In Britain, six in
ten people are reported to be suffering from long term conditions that currently cannot be cured;
and these people are often suffering from more than one condition that makes their care
challenging. It is estimated that by 2030 the UK will have double the number of people aged 85
years or over, who are living with one or more long term condition (Department of Health, 2014).
This essay discusses the core principles of long term conditions and management. Government
guidelines and standards are also discussed in relation to how these will impact the care of the
patients who are experiencing long term conditions. The reports, guidelines and plans that play an
important role in directing the current nursing system today, are discussed with regard to the
management of chronic conditions and lastly, palliative care and outcomes from the publication

Like The Greedy Wolf Analysis
In the years of 1807 to 1831, tragedy struck for The Blackfoot Indians, the British, and American
citizens. In Like the Greedy Wolf, the article focuses more on the history and events people assume
took place at the time, but did these events actually happen? The article does not go into detail on
the impact it made upon the leaders and people involved, nor does it give the most accurate, in
stone details. This article places emphases on a collection of documents rather than an informational
article.
In paragraph one, disaster hit the city of St. Louis on the fifteenth of July in 1823. News eventually
spread by the Missouri Republican. The newspaper stated, The Blackfoot had attacked trappers on
the Yellowstone River near the Crow village. The newspaper goes along to explain the attack on
the leaders, Robert Jones and Michael Immell. It is explained after these two were shot down, the
soldiers fighting under the two leaders, had no guidance. These soldiers were quickly slaughtered
and robbed of their 25 packs of fur. After the paragraph was published, the editor of... Show more

These paragraphs were a matter of speculation. In paragraph ten, information suggested how the
American traders came to be who they were instead of trappers. In paragraph sixteen, the words,
thought, and probably, were used. Another instance is in paragraph nineteen. In this selection, the
National Intelligencer writes about Manuel Lisa and a few Indian tribes. Terms such as
considered, and probably. A suggestion and an order are two completely different ideas. If a
statement is made in an article, then it is presumed to be accurate and true. Also, the use of the
word, they, should not be included in an article, however this word is found in both paragraph ten
and sixteen. If one is writing an article or paper of any form, he or she should state the person or

Legal Differences And The Legal Types Of A Business...
Identify and describe the legal categories of a business organization contrasting tax related
advantages and disadvantages. There are three main forms of business organizations that are
commonly known globally; they include; Sole Proprietorship, Partnership as well as
Corporation. Looking at the Sole proprietorship, it is conventionally known as a business run by
one person who is also the owner. This means that the owner has 100% control over the business.
This form of business organization is easy to establish since it needs very few legal requirements.
There is also no need of having partners or shareholders and the taxes paid in this business
organization is only on the income generated. That means that after paying the taxes, all remaining
profits remains with the owner. Disadvantages of this structure include less share of expertise
since the owner is the only partner. The owner also has unlimited liability for the debts and any
malpractices which also includes bearing all maintenance costs (Beyer et al. 2010). For the
partnership, it involves more than one player who is also involved in the business structure. The
partners share all costs and profits after entering into an agreement that intends to share any
commercial interests. The partners also contribute funds to start and operate the business as the
starting capital. This means that there is a pool of experience and resources by the two and the
partners share the taxes. The disadvantages of this form of

The Importance Of Birth Order
Have you ever wondered why siblings tend to have such contrasting personalities? This essay will
argue that the birth order affects the kind of person one becomes in various ways, by shaping them
to acquire specific characteristics and prospects that will remain through adulthood. Particular
attention will be given to the significance of family and environment, the ways that birth order
affects the levels of trustfulness, reciprocation and extraversion and finally how it influences the
likelihood of making or supporting new innovations in science. The family environment in which an
individual grows up, has substantial effects on the kind of personthey become later in life. It has
even been argued, that the functional birth order, which is affected by the environment one grows
up in, plays a bigger role in moulding them into the people that they become later in life than the
biological birth order (Sulloway, 1996). Courtiol, Raymond and Faurie (2009) investigated the
significance of birth order on trustfulness and reciprocation of individuals, with their hypothesis
being that birth order would influence adults behaviour towards non kin. The results of the
experiment speak for themselves, as they indicate that a distinct trend can be seen in the
characteristics of people depending on their birth order. According to Sulloway, it has been argued
that the characteristicdifferences the birth order forms, are the consequences of sibling competition
for parental investment

Essay about The Four Agreements
The Four Agreements
The Four Agreements
After reading The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz I realized I ve been living dreams of
other people in my life and not my own. It was decided early on what I should do, what s
possible and what s not. Starting at birth we are told what to think by our parents, schools, and
church. Subconsciously, we have made agreements with them to live our life according to their
rules. Don Miguel believes that these agreements are self limiting and shares four agreements that
if we adapt into our lives we will reach true peace and happiness. The book made so much sense to
me, but the hard part is to actually commit to living out the four agreements. In short, the four
agreements are listed below: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I finally realized that people will talk about you whether you re doing good or bad.
Don t Make Assumptions. Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want.
Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstanding, sadness and drama.
With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
We make assumptions because we need explanations (to our questions) to address what s going on
in our own minds. The mind is a powerful thing and our minds have different voices and
personality that can create a lot of confusion. When I make assumptions there is always conflict
that follows. I know now that through communication we can arrive to resolution. This agreement
rings true for me and has caused disappointment and sadness in my life to be at a point in my life
that I can ask for what I want.
Always Do Your Best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different
when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best and you
will avoid self judgment, self abuse and regret.
I don t always feel as if I did my best I never have, too. In this agreement I know it mentions that
your best is going to change from moment to moment. I would like to experience my best more
often. To truly give my best I have to be moved in some kind of spiritual way. That is the only

Fitting In Short Story
During HP English I have read four different short stories by various authors. These stories have
many differences like race, gender, age, and social class. But even thought there are many
differences in the stories, the biggest similarity they all share is that all four stories are about
fitting in the American society. This is an important theme to me since I am starting as a first
generation college freshman at Saint Mary s. So coming into this new school I will have to learn
how to fit in with the society of the school just as the characters in each of the four stories try to fit
in their own environment. Everyone has to go through some type of fitting in when they enter a
new environment. But how a person reacts to the process of fitting... Show more content on

This story is about a female writer who grows up in a Mexican family in America. Her family

Cisneros does not follow this tradition and gets her education, but her family does not approve.
Even though Cisneros is a successful writer, all she wanted was to fit in with her father and 6
brothers who he valued so much. She had difficulty fitting in because her family did not see her
as equal. When Cisneros graduated from college her father s reaction was, and still no husband,
my father shakes his head even now and says I wasted all that education (Cisneros 13). Her
father did not value her successful college education at all just because she did not get a husband

Reflection On Learning Habits And Academic Success
Learning habits are skills taught or based off of an individual s personal experiences. There are
several different forms of learning habits, for example, working in a safe environment,
collaborating with others, independently working, being reliable, organized, showcasing initiative,
having the ability to possess self advocacy and to have the flexibility to provide customer service.
In this reflection paper, I will address ways these learninghabits or skills aid in supporting my
academic success. Also, displaying the learning habits I already possess as an individual and
capsizing on those skills or patterns I have yet to develop. In summarizing my reflection, I will
establish a plan I have for promoting and supporting the learning habits I need to created still. Let s
explore some of these options that were associated with learning habits and skills.
As stated above learning habits consist of several different formalities; however, as a college
student these habits should contain being flexible to work with others, working in a healthy safe
setting, possessing the ability to work and student independently, being reliable, having a sense of
organizational system, taking the initiative for my actions, asking the appropriate questions to seek
clarification when discussing topics, and being able to efficiently listen to determine if I have
successfully comprehended the topic of discussion. Each of these factors will assist with my
thriving as a successful student. For example, taking the initiative will permit an individual to
establish more leadership roles, which as a nurse I do not mind helping anyone who needs help,
which consists of being open minded and flexible. Other incentives associated with these learning
habits and student require the student to be disciplined and proactive in their learning experiences.
I have learned that having discipline is to key to being a successful college student.
Some of the learning habits and skills that I already possess are listed as follows; I tend to seek
clarity to comprehend, which entails me analyzing and accessing the situation. These traits tend to
make me efficient as a nurse with displaying empathy to others while actively listening to their
concerns. At

one of the worst aspects of life. What does it mean to be alive verses being dead is one of the main
questions throughout the play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead . Throughout the whole play
R and G play with the ideas about death. During the course of the play Rosencrantz even asks
what he thinks it would be like to be dead in a box. The answer is that he would rather be alive
when put in the box with a chance that someone might come along and let him out. While they

which in the play they are referring to as a coffin. This box metaphor can also be seen in bigger

The Cold War Between East And West From The End Of The...
From 1948 to 1991 countless anti communist films were made, dominating the stage of
transnational politics and geostrategic affairs between East and West from the beginning to the end
of the USSR. The Cold War would impose an atmosphere bursting with tension on the world film
production arena. The main tense issues that prevailed included but were not limited to: Communist
expansionism, American Imperialism, an arms race including a nuclear menace, the subjugation of
space, and the infamous intelligence and counter espionage clash. It is important to note that the
skirmishes amongst these main actors the Unites States and The Soviet Unionwas not only in the
domain of defense and economy, but also encompassed ideology and culture. The latter was
especially mirrored in the cinema.
From the nonviolent coexistence to the climax and fall of prevalent democracies, and all that is
within cinema has reflected the societal patterns of major periods in history. Furthermore, the media
s evolvement as an effective propaganda machine used mainly for denunciation purposes secured
the box office a chief function in the Cold War. A multitude of films were introduced with varying
dimensions on the same topic. The Iron Curtain (1948) along with The Invasion of The Body
Snatchers (1956) and The Witch Hunt (1994) were amongst films which proliferated during the
period.

Diuretics are substances that slow renal reabsorption of water and thereby cause diuresis, an
elevated urine flow, which in turn reduces blood volume. Lowering blood volume usually reduces

throughout history, whether it be showcased in a traveling freakshow or inspiring mythical
creatures in the likes of Cerberus. Congenital duplication refers to birth defects in which a fetus is
born with extra appendages, organs, or other bodily characteristics due to a multitude of causes [1].
These include maternal deficiencies and diet, environmental factors, genetics, as well as bacterial or
viral infection in utero [1]. The congenital defects affecting livestock covered in this factsheet
refer to facial or cranial duplication, known as dicephaly, as well as polymelia, which refers to the
presence of replicated limbs [1][2]. The latter condition, appears in many domestic species, albeit
most frequently in cattle [3].
Types of Dicephaly and Polymelia
Dicephaly and polymelia can both be categorized into subgroups according to their respective
corporal duplicate properties.Dicephaly can be divided into two categories, the first being
diprosopus dicephalus, the replication of the face and cranium resulting in two separate heads, and
the second, diprosopus monauchenos, pertaining to the replication of facial structures with a sole
neck [4].The four categories of polymelia include: cephalomelia, which refers to appendages
sprouting in the cranial region, notomelia, in which limbs grow on the back, thoracomelia,
involving the thorax, and pygomelia, relating to growth

Death Of A Salesman And The American Dream
The United States in the mid twentieth century was a time of change. In the 1960 s the civil rights
and women s rights were in their embryonic stages. All of these ideas coming together created the
illusion of The American Dream. Back then; the American dream was equated with freedom and
material prosperity, two concepts that ring true today. The definition of the American dream
changes as society in the United Stateschanges, and the connotation and reality of the American
Dream is disheartening. Two literary compositions give a realistic outlook on what the American
Dream really is. In Death of a Salesman and The American Dream, Arthur Miller and Edward Albee
masterfully relay the true nature and ideologies of The American Dream. In theory, the
American Dream is the idea that every person residing in the United States of America should
live a richer and fuller life, regardless of the class one is born in. It is not a dream about cars,
high wages, and a picket fence. The idea, for it to work, is supposed to be that every man and
woman in this beautiful country has the ability to gain the highest class in their ability regardless
of their previous background. The ability to achieve such high success is based on academic
success and hard work. In current times, it seems the American Dream has become a pursuit of
material objects. Citizens of the United States work countless hours to be able to afford bigger cars,
better homes, and the newest technologies. On the surface,

In the excerpts from Plato s dialogue, Socrates asks Euthyphro Is what is holy holy because the

Review Of Campbell s Chicken Noodle Soup
Growing up as a kid every single day I would each Campbell s Chicken Noodle Soup. At eit
almost every single day, now I eat it here in there but I still love it. When I was small I was
obviously too small to make it myself, but eventually from watching my mother make it for me

sure you are old enough to work the stove. If not, you are not ready to master this try again next
year. You will need a stove, pot, water, and of course, the Chicken Noodle Soup can itself. What
you first want to do is take the can, make sure you open it carefully and slowly. I had to learn the

English Accelerated
Period 4 Fahrenheit 451 Analysis
Fahrenheit 451 was written by Ray Bradbury. This futuristic dystopia is about a community of
people that relies tv and electronics. The novel demonstrates suppression of the mind where the
citizens don t have the freedom to ask questions and be creative. It is taught that there is only one
answer to a question. In the novel firefighters burn books to annihilate using the thought process.
This explains the reason the book is called Fahrenheit 451, because 451 degrees was the temperature
at which the books were all burned at. The novel is a social criticism to censorship in today s
world. Finally, The novel really emphasizes Montag s development in his stages of life, allows the

Christian Retirement Beliefs
1. After reading the introduction, my thoughts about my retirement began to flood my mind. I had
never really considered what the retirement ceremony would be like, who would be there or even
who would be the key note speaker. I am half way to my retirement and currently going through a
life struggle that I will only be able overcome with Gods love.
I am hoping this study will bring me new Christian ideas regarding work and life. I need to learn
how to let go of the little things and let God be first in everything I do. My vision after doing this
study is having an understanding of the way God can integrate His divine plan in not only one s
job but their entire life. I need a total change in my life, so I am willing to accept the challenge
and listen to God. Believing in His word and staying committed to my goals are of the utmost
importance. 2. The word success means many different things to people. Being successful from
a world perspective can mean that you have made it to the top, you are wealthy and you have
done everything that you have wanted to do in your life. However, if you look at success from
God s perspective things are very different. In His plan success can mean learning to have a

Harvey Milk s Fight For Gay Rights
May 22nd, 1930 in Woodmere, New York a legend was born. This legend is also famously
known as Harvey Milk, a man who would soon turn into one of the greatest LGBT activists in
history. Harvey Milk, when he was a teenager in high school, knew he was gay but kept it to
himself all the way through the Korean War. In the Korean War, Milk was discharged in 1955
and moved back to New York City where he took on many jobs, from being a teacher to being a
Wall, Street investment banker. Milk is mostly well known for being one of the first openly gay
political advisors. He helped the LGBTcommunity get off the ground and go into full throttle,
claiming their places amongst political advisors. Harvey Milk has helped so many people feel
comfortable enough to come out of the closet. Harvey Milk, who was once afraid to come out and
be openly gay, helped others gain their basic human rights and their basic human privileges.

I m ready! I m ready! I m ready! I m ready! These are one of the most popular words of the
beloved absorbent and yellow and porous sea creature, SpongeBob Squarepants. I must admit that
although I was not an indoors type of kid, the opening line of the show, Are you ready, kids?
always drew me to the living room like a magnet; even as a college freshman, I never bypass the
television when my favorite show, SpongeBob Squarepants, is on. I am not merely attracted to the
show because of the character s infectious humor but because of the numerous life lessons it has to
offer; besides teaching me a billion ways to be an annoying neighbor, SpongeBob has taught me
innumerable life values of overriding significance.
The most notable attitude of SpongeBob is his irrepressible and inextinguishable optimism. The
adorable yellow sponge seems to be oblivious to the dark side of everything and only sees the
bright and positive sides to things and everyone, including his pompous and grumpy neighbor,
Squidward Tentacles. In the episode, Something Smells, SpongeBob eats an onion dish and

Reflection On Multicultural Counseling
Starting this course in August, I didn t realize the power that multicultural counseling had instilled
in it. The fact that its central focus is around social justice and equality is a characteristic our
society much needs today. Throughout the duration of this class, I learned about multicultural
counseling as a whole, new theories that can be applied specifically to different racial/ethnic
minorities, the ACA code of ethics, and who I wantto be as a future counselor.
In the beginning of the course I had very little knowledge about the theories in multicultural
counseling. I knew that it was centrally focused around social justice and equality but I didn t know
there were theories that pertained to specific ethnic minorities. I also learned that there isn t a
one size fits all theory. What I learned was that each model needs to be unique to the client and
very well rounded; it should include a specific goal(s), describe the process, have both aspects of
cognition and emotion, and include justice and equity as well. (Jun 2010) I have learned that as a
multicultural counselor you have to be very aware and mindful of your thoughts and actions. I
learned that there is a lot that is integrated into multicultural counseling and it isn t cut and dry.
There are varieties of concepts, such as being aware of oppression, continuous self reflection,
awareness of impact that a multicultural counselor can have on an individual, etc. (Jun, 2010) I was
happy to read that social

Preparing A Homeschool Lesson Plan
Many homeschool families choose to learn the lessons that are necessary without the use of text
books or worksheets. Many use the lesson plan approach of homeschooling. A lesson plan
usually takes one or more weeks to complete. It encompasses all, or most, or the subjects that a
normal school day covers: math, science, history, language arts, writing, and art. Using lesson
plans is often more enjoyable that doing straight reading and answering questions from a
textbook. While it may seem very confusing, building a quality lesson plan is actually not
difficult. It can also be a very inexpensive way to homeschool. Many lesson plans can be created
for free with resources from a public library or museum. The following methods for building
homeschool lesson plans will make your homeschool experience more fulfilling. Brainstorming
for Easy Lesson Plan Building The first step in building a homeschool lesson plan is to
brainstorm ideas. Of course, you must decide what your lesson plan will be about. For this
article, we will use the example of Colonial America for our unit study. After deciding on the
main topic of the homeschool lesson plan, you should figure out what you can study for each
school subject. It is obvious how you can include history lessons in a Colonial American lesson
plan. You can also include language arts, reading, and writing easily by reading books about
Colonial America and writing stories, reports, and journals. You can include art by doing some

Skills For Visual And Written Analysis
Skills for visual and written analysis have emerged to be a central debate in different art
societies. Writing about art has materialized to become a variable way to practice cultural, social,
economic and political aspects. Precisely, a personal response to an art piece increases the
understanding of the piece of art. As such, the role of individuals such as curators has become
essential in improving the understanding of art. Evidence has proved that visual art has far
reaching impact in reading, writing, geometry and science. Visual art creates an innate mental
ability that envisions forms and observe closely different skills. Precisely, visual art is seen as a
cultural vehicle that helps cultureto share ideas. The incoming report investigates the works of Jean
Auguste Dominique Ingres 29 August 1780 14 January 1867, who was NeoClassical painter.
Ingres images perpetuate an alluring and rather misleading image of the orient. The report will
compare a variety of images to provide a more truthful understanding of the Near East culture.
Background
Orientalism is notable given that it improved the 19th century architecture and decorative art that

Inflammation and Cancer
ABSTRACT
According to the most recent evidence, there is a direct link between chronic inflammation and
certain types of cancer. Inflammation generally occurs due to a bacterial or viral infection, such as
a chronic bladder infection, which over time may be more susceptible to bladder cancer. This is
especially true for individuals who are overweight or obese, or exhibit disorders like diabetes,
hepatitis A and B, HIV/AIDS, and other bacterial/viral disorders.

Inflammation has also been shown to exacerbate the conditions necessary for developing certain
types of lung cancer. As noted by Nahoun, medical conditions associated with chronic irritation and

cigarette smoking which often causes inflammation in the lungs via diseases like sarcoidosis, a

Game Theory In Water Resource Management

Water resources management is involved with various beneficiaries that may have conflicting
interests (Veeren Tol 2003; Wei et al. 2010). Game theory based models have been used in water
resources management to address water conflicts and are recognized as appropriate methods (Wei

suggested by many researchers to address water conflicts alongside other conflict resolution

The Works Of Rembrandt And Rubens
The Works of Rembrandt and Rubens
During the 17th century, especially after their break from Spain, The United Provinces of the
Netherlands became the most prosperous nation in Europe by leading the world in trade, science,
and art. Through the huge and one of the first art markets, art became a common household
possession and allowed artists to freely express themselves, which is one of the evidential factors in
three of the most universally admired artists of the baroque art era. Rubens, an influential Flemish
artist of the Italian baroque scene, focused more on the works of the counter reformation while the
masters of the Dutch baroque art, such as Rembrandt, were in the heart of the protestant Dutch
Republic. These three artists share similar artistic styles but yet have extremely evident differences
and influences. The artists work also have a great portrayal of the historical and social impacts of
the 17th century.
This dynamic century shaped much of the modern world of today. With all the great scientific
discoveries and the recent protestant reformation, the world no longer revolved around religious
devotion and mysticism but had a stronger focus on individuality. The laws of nature and
observation by reasoning proved that everyone is capable of observing the world through
mathematics, logic, and experimentation. Another major characteristic of the 17th century is the
major political decisions and the international struggle for colonial domination. Colonialism was

Pros And Cons Of Robots
Robots are becoming more and more advanced. As employers implement more automation, it is
likely that many will lose their jobs to a robot. Robots have already been employed in many

in manufacturing and in effect, reduces the costs to make products. Manufacturing jobs now
populated by people have many Musculoskeletal disease risk factors. With the application of
robots, workers will not have to put themselves at risk for personal injury caused by MSD s.
Research shows that repetitive work can cause musculoskeletal diseases in humans, but
fortunately, robots are starting to acquire the tedious, manual labor jobs that enhance these
diseases more; therefore, robots are seen as an ethical improvement to job safety and wellness.
Musculoskeletal diseases are the leading cause of disability in the United States. MSD s are
diseases that affect the muscles, bones, and any connecting tissue , and they cause chronic pains
and mobility issues. In the workforce, there are MSD risk factors that contribute to the onset or
advancement of MSD s. They include heavy lifting, rapidly and or repeatedly doing the same
tasks, awkward positions, vibrations, bodily impacts, etc.[1]. There are many occupations that put
workers at risk for MSD s especially labor intensive jobs. The pain and immobility that can be

Character Analysis Of Shylock In Venice
No one can argue that Shylock is one of the most complex and intriguing characters ever created in
literature. He has unique traits that make him who he is. Shylock is a Jewish man in a majority
Christian city named Venice. In the Middle Ages usury was banned to Christians by the church and
for that reason usuryor the illegal act of lending money, was controlled by the Jews. Shylockwas one
of the most prominent moneylenders in Venice. However in the play Shylock is portrayed as an
angry man who is hated by the Venetians. They are not a fond of his angry mannerisms, despise
him for his religion, occupation, etc. No one can deny that Shylock is motivated by money, but one
can argue that he is also motivated by vengeance.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anther example where Shylock fits his archetype perfectly is in Act IV, Scene 1. As we know,
Shylock is the antagonist in the play and as we know, all villains must pay for their heinous
actions eventually. In this scene Shylock is essentially stripped of everything he owns. Half of
his wealth must go to the city of Venice while the other half ends up going to his daughter
Jessica. While some might feel bad for him at this moment, we must think of the saying what
comes around goes around. In Act III Shylock is merciless and refuses to take any form of
payment in exchange for Antonio. All he cares about is getting a pound of Antonio s flesh.
Keeping Antonio in a cell and essentially embarrassing him completely, even though Antonio is on
his knees begging for mercy, Shylock refuses to let go of what he wants, the pound of flesh. Like
Amanda Bailey says in her work Shylock and the Slaves: Owing and Owing in The Merchant of
Venice, Shylock sees the desperation of an insolvent debtor [Antonio] (Bailey). He is merciless
and essentially wants to prove a point. However, this merciless act comes back to haunt Shylock
when Portia goes after him in court. In the end, Shylock loses and is miserable, something that
happens to all villains and antagonists. That s why he fits so perfectly with that villain archetype.
We spoke about how Shylock fits his archetype

Songwriters Message
Music plays an important role in an individual and in society because many are able to connect
with the kinds of emotions that songs convey. Through a clever combination of rhythms, beats,
harmonies, and creative lyrics, a song can evoke a certain mood and reveal a message with many
different emotions attached. In this way, people are drawn to certain types of musicand can connect
with the song s meaning or emotional release. Songwriters typically use techniques similar to that
seen in poetry to adequately reveal meaning in their songs. It appears that some songs are better
than others at conveying their message to an audience. Songs with similar themed messages can be
compared, although every individual has their own unique reaction to music. In terms of
sufficiently carrying a message to the audience, I think that Where is the... Show more content on

First of all, the problems described in the song are relevant to almost anyone. Many have suffered
the effects of discrimination, crime, or violence, for example, and have felt the need to find help
as a result. Real world connections are used to reveal the message along with repetition and rhyme.
The singers are continually pleading, Where is the Love, because they are fed up with society s
issues and cannot find the solution. They speak realistically but their tone is motivational, inspiring
the audience to cease behaviors that create negativity. The listener wants to find the love described
as much as the pleading singer. Interestingly, the entire song incorporates rhetoric and rhetorical
questioning to fully make its point. The singers ask, Is the world insane? because of continuous
social warfare and if the audience Would turn the other cheek? on someone oppressed. This
technique is very effective in convincing the audience that something is wrong in the world and that
steps need to be taken to improve societal

Productivity Improvement in Screw Type Biomass Briquettes...
The sectional details of the parts are shown in fig 3 in which the machine shaft is supported by
radial and thrust bearings. Radial bearings support the dead load on the shaft, while thrust
bearings support the axial load due to compression of saw dust by screw. One end of the shaft is
connected to the gear drive. In the other end of the shaft screwis inserted. Starting section of screw
placed inside barrel conveys the material into the mould. Mould is made in two sections, first in
which the cross section gradually reduced to the final shape of briquette(called forming mould or
wear sleeve) and the later with uniform cross section of the final briquette which exerts necessary
back pressure for compression due to friction.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For the second set of readings the stoppages are preplanned so that screw is removed before it
was damaged considerably. The heater is stopped earlier; very fine powder not suitable for
briquetting was introduced inside to push the previously formed matter out making the cleaning
process easy and short. The system will be started again with the new screw in place and heated
to required temperature about 250oC. The average down time in this trial was considerably
reduced to 31 minutes. The experimental details are given in table 1. Table 1 Experimental details
for Eutectrode 700 coated screw
The same kind of trials are repeated with screws coated with VAUTID 302 which is a tungsten
carbide electrode and its coating increased life of screw to more than 10 hrs[10]. The same type
of mould with Eutechtrode 700 was used in this trial but replaced along with the second screw
replacement. Readings were taken for 4 trials to keep the total duration similar to that of first set.
The next set of trials with planned stoppages was also conducted for 4 trials in the similar way and
the readings tabulated. The details of the experiment are presented in table 2. Preplanning downtime
has shown improvements in the following aspects.
The downtime per setup went down;
productivity has shown improvement;
Even though it was not accounted labor productivity morale went up significantly.
The production of unacceptable quality briquettes at the last part of

`` Privilege, Power, And Difference, By Johnson And Robbins
Since the time we are born we are fed the lies of capitalism. We are taught that capitalism hurts no
one and that capitalism is the only way. Johnson and Robbins have some very influential ideas
about capitalism. Johnson writes about the complexity of privilege. He also addresses why
some privileged people do not feel privileged through the matrix of capitalist domination.
Robbins gives us a background on how privilege became what it is today. He addresses the
anatomy of the working class by drawing attention to how they were mobile, divided, powerless,
and anxious for a revolution. Through Johnson and Robbins eyes we can begin to see how the
world is not the one we were taught it was. In Johnson s book, Privilege, Power, and Difference,
he writes about the matrix of capitalist domination, but to really understand the reader must look
back to the previous chapter when he writes about privilege. Johnson asked the reader to list
qualities such as gender, race, sexual orientation, and class. After doing so, Johnson explained
that such qualities have one side that receives privilege in society. These privileges range from
having a better schooling to getting a job over someone who does not have the privileged
qualities. The ideal qualities of the ones listed according to society is upper class, heterosexual,
white, and male. This is not to say that all white men feel privileged. In fact, that is the entire idea
of the matrix of capitalist domination. People do not fall

Symbolism In August Wilson s Fences
Fences, by August Wilson, takes place in the 1950 s a time that was extremely difficult for many
African Americans. In my inspirational dramatic moment, Troy tells the story of his encounter
with the devil: Troy is unable to receive credit on a good deal of furniture, that he needs, due to
his skin color. According to Troy, a white man knocks on his door to offer higher priced furniture in
exchange for monthly payments. As his last resort, Troy accepts the deal, having to pay $10 to the
man in the beginning of every month until he pays off the furniture. The man was not seen again,
persuading Troy that the man was the devil. (15). The symbolism of the devil in Troy s story
heavily deepens the audience s understanding of the major theme of

Family And Medical Leave Overview As hard as it is to believe that the most free and together country isn t all that free and together the United States of America has no government sponsored paid family or medical leave program. With this little to no support from the government for people starting families, what is usually a happy and exciting event for families can be turned into a tragic ultimatum, leaving parents with the decision of whether they want to start a family or be able to pay their bills. In 1993, The Family and Medical Leave Act began to guarantee employees up to 12 weeks unpaid leave, but due to a number of exceptions, the FMLA only ended up covering about 60 percent of American workers with this guarantee (Dusenbury). • 4. The, Taoist, And Aristotelian Views On The Soul s... Does the soul exist? If so, what is the soul? Moreover, what is its function in daily life? For millennia, schools of philosophy have investigated these questions and attempted to answer them by devising complex philosophies, which were in some cases completely alien to our modern ideas. In this essay, I will discuss the Egyptian, Taoist, and Aristotelian views on the souls function and composition during life. Then, I will compare these philosophies and discuss which aspects of each philosophy I find the most plausible from a realist s point of view. Concerning the composition and function of the soul, I argue that the Aristotelian and Taoist philosophies are equally plausible, but that the Egyptian philosophy also had plausible aspects. Ultimately, however, it is difficult to determine which theory the most plausible (from a realist s perspective) without tackling the bigger question does the soul exist? The ancient Egyptians were soul dualists, meaning that they believed that a person had two or more souls (in this case nine).1 In Egypt, one of the main purposes of the nine souls was to help the deceased reach the afterlife. 2 In fact, the Egyptians believed that some souls only existed after death, but I will not discuss these in this paper. Instead, I will focus on the role of the soul during one s life. The Egyptians identified six souls that were present during life: Khabit, Ba, Khat, Ib, and Ren.3 The Khabit was considered a shadow that could detach itself ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

All this time we thought we were on top, we were actually slowly becoming less and less of leader and more a bystander as the rest of the world is slowly rising around us. Zakaria shows in that quote that as America has been continuing business like always, and because of this we have failed to realize our standing with the world around us. In the book The Post American World, Zakaria shows us the challenges that America faces today. I believe the United Statesis most affected by our ignorance, competition, and worldly participation. I think it s a good thing that America has competition, we need the motivation and the support these larger countries can offer. The last way that America is most affected by the rise of the rest is through our worldly participation. In a globalized world, almost all problems spill over borders. (Zakaria, 34). On a frequent basis America tends to interfere with many global issues. With that we spend lots of money we may not currently have. I don t think that s a wise choice of America, but Zakaria states When the United States involves itself abroad; it always believes that it is genuinely trying to help other countries better themselves (Zakaria, 35). America does have good intentions but needs to face the reality that every issue can t also become ours. Now with other countries rising we can allow them to step in a fill that gap America can no longer tend to. By adjusting to the new reality of our ignorance, competition, and worldly participation I believe America would put itself in a good place to deal with the rise of the rest . I think Zakaria points out true issues America has faced and is yet to face. It s all about the present, as much as we are driving toward the future, it s really important to deal what we have at hand. Although we may be slowing in our advancements America is still in a very good position as a country and has come a long way. Zakaria ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Reciprocal Coevolution and Plant-Pollinator Interactions... Interactions between plants and their pollinators has been discussed in the past very frequently. Since the Darwinian times, the topic flourished. There are two aspects that have an important role in this relationship that have been affected by the history. The first being the floral mechanisms and the ecological relationships between plants and the second are the evolutionary processes that affect the pollination (1). As the interest progressed, the approaches became more specific and detailed which led to a more fine scaled insight into plant pollinator relationship specialization. Due to specific interactions between the plant and its pollinator a terminology of a plant syndrome has been introduced, which gives a possibility to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A generalized pollination system that has been widespread as well as the specialization of the pollination systems has been questioned (Waser, 1996). The specificity of the pollination relationships is thought to have roots in the preference of individuals. Specific scents, colours, shapes and morphology and combinations of those attract different groups of pollinators. The obvious colour preference or simply the morphology of the flower that determines the size of a species that can get to the pollen and nectar affect the pollinator s response. Due to certain restrictions, only specific species can act as a vector and that led to specialization of a relationship. It was more of a key and lock mechanism rather than a coincidental coevolution. Since the species that could not get to the specific flower, carried on until it found a suitable one. This therefore does not necessarily mean that either the flower or the vector altered their morphology just to increase the fitness. All of the above arguments are also thought to be the root of the mentioned plant syndrome that specifies the pollinator response and the species that acts as a vector. There have been several links suggested and studied into depth. One of them was linking pollinator behaviour to plant mating patterns. That suggests a high specialization of a relationship since either of them had to adjust their natural behaviour to the organism they interact with. According to the National Research Council ... • 7. Understanding Long Term Conditions And Palliative Care The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate understanding of long term conditions and palliative care. Nursing care in general entails holistic care and collaborative care of individuals of all ages, families, groups and communities, whether sick or well (Royal College of Nursing, (RCN) 2007). Better management of lifelong conditions has been the priority of the National Health Service since the 1990s. When long term conditions are managed well in the community, patients can live a quality life without visiting hospital frequently (RCN, 2011). In Britain, six in ten people are reported to be suffering from long term conditions that currently cannot be cured; and these people are often suffering from more than one condition that makes their care challenging. It is estimated that by 2030 the UK will have double the number of people aged 85 years or over, who are living with one or more long term condition (Department of Health, 2014). This essay discusses the core principles of long term conditions and management. Government guidelines and standards are also discussed in relation to how these will impact the care of the patients who are experiencing long term conditions. The reports, guidelines and plans that play an important role in directing the current nursing system today, are discussed with regard to the management of chronic conditions and lastly, palliative care and outcomes from the publication Together for Health Delivering End of Life Care (2013) ... There are three main forms of business organizations that are commonly known globally; they include; Sole Proprietorship, Partnership as well as Corporation. Looking at the Sole proprietorship, it is conventionally known as a business run by one person who is also the owner. This means that the owner has 100% control over the business. This form of business organization is easy to establish since it needs very few legal requirements. There is also no need of having partners or shareholders and the taxes paid in this business organization is only on the income generated. That means that after paying the taxes, all remaining profits remains with the owner. Disadvantages of this structure include less share of expertise since the owner is the only partner. The owner also has unlimited liability for the debts and any malpractices which also includes bearing all maintenance costs (Beyer et al. 2010). For the partnership, it involves more than one player who is also involved in the business structure. The partners share all costs and profits after entering into an agreement that intends to share any commercial interests. The partners also contribute funds to start and operate the business as the starting capital. This means that there is a pool of experience and resources by the two and the partners share the taxes. • 15. The Importance Of Birth Order Have you ever wondered why siblings tend to have such contrasting personalities? This essay will argue that the birth order affects the kind of person one becomes in various ways, by shaping them to acquire specific characteristics and prospects that will remain through adulthood. Particular attention will be given to the significance of family and environment, the ways that birth order affects the levels of trustfulness, reciprocation and extraversion and finally how it influences the likelihood of making or supporting new innovations in science. The family environment in which an individual grows up, has substantial effects on the kind of personthey become later in life. It has even been argued, that the functional birth order, which is affected by the environment one grows up in, plays a bigger role in moulding them into the people that they become later in life than the biological birth order (Sulloway, 1996). Courtiol, Raymond and Faurie (2009) investigated the significance of birth order on trustfulness and reciprocation of individuals, with their hypothesis being that birth order would influence adults behaviour towards non kin. The results of the experiment speak for themselves, as they indicate that a distinct trend can be seen in the characteristics of people depending on their birth order. According to Sulloway, it has been argued that the characteristicdifferences the birth order forms, are the consequences of sibling competition for parental investment ... Subconsciously, we have made agreements with them to live our life according to their rules. Don Miguel believes that these agreements are self limiting and shares four agreements that if we adapt into our lives we will reach true peace and happiness. The mind is a powerful thing and our minds have different voices and personality that can create a lot of confusion. When I make assumptions there is always conflict that follows. These are one of the most popular words of the beloved absorbent and yellow and porous sea creature, SpongeBob Squarepants. I am not merely attracted to the show because of the character s infectious humor but because of the numerous life lessons it has to offer; besides teaching me a billion ways to be an annoying neighbor, SpongeBob has taught me innumerable life values of overriding significance. The most notable attitude of SpongeBob is his irrepressible and inextinguishable optimism. The adorable yellow sponge seems to be oblivious to the dark side of everything and only sees the bright and positive sides to things and everyone, including his pompous and grumpy neighbor, Squidward Tentacles. In the beginning of the course I had very little knowledge about the theories in multicultural counseling. I knew that it was centrally focused around social justice and equality but I didn t know there were theories that pertained to specific ethnic minorities. I also learned that there isn t a one size fits all theory. What I learned was that each model needs to be unique to the client and very well rounded; it should include a specific goal(s), describe the process, have both aspects of cognition and emotion, and include justice and equity as well. (Jun 2010) I have learned that as a multicultural counselor you have to be very aware and mindful of your thoughts and actions. In the Middle Ages usury was banned to Christians by the church and for that reason usuryor the illegal act of lending money, was controlled by the Jews. Shylockwas one of the most prominent moneylenders in Venice. However in the play Shylock is portrayed as an angry man who is hated by the Venetians. As we know, Shylock is the antagonist in the play and as we know, all villains must pay for their heinous actions eventually. In this scene Shylock is essentially stripped of everything he owns. Half of his wealth must go to the city of Venice while the other half ends up going to his daughter Jessica. While some might feel bad for him at this moment, we must think of the saying what comes around goes around. In Act III Shylock is merciless and refuses to take any form of payment in exchange for Antonio. All he cares about is getting a pound of Antonio s flesh. Keeping Antonio in a cell and essentially embarrassing him completely, even though Antonio is on his knees begging for mercy, Shylock refuses to let go of what he wants, the pound of flesh. Like Amanda Bailey says in her work Shylock and the Slaves: Owing and Owing in The Merchant of Venice, Shylock sees the desperation of an insolvent debtor [Antonio] (Bailey). He is merciless and essentially wants to prove a point. However, this merciless act comes back to haunt Shylock when Portia goes after him in court.
