Florida Descriptive Narrative
Florida Do you know when you are on a plane, your ears pop like crazy? Well, I know from
experience, because I was on a plane to Florida for 2 ½ hours. My family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and
grandparents were all going to Florida. When the airplane takes off for the very first time, your ears
are not used to the elevation, so it will mostly likely hurt. You eventually get used to the feeling of it,
after a certain amount of time in the plane. We have been in this plane for 2 hours, Braden moaned.
Are we gonna get there anytime soon? Yes, Mom replied. It s not long now until we land. It was about
another half an hour before we finally landed in Orlando, Florida. The first thing we did when we got
off the plane was gather our bags at the bag lot. We then proceeded to find our 15 passenger van that
we had rented for the week. It took about another half an hour before we finally had found the van. I
said in excitement, Finally we can get to our resort and unpack! Then we can get our swimming suits
on and go to the pool! Jessa said lively. Hold on, Mom answered, We still have to find something for
dinner before we do any swimming. It was about a 15 minute drive to our resort, but it was worth the
15 minutes. Orlando, Florida was so beautiful and it had a lot of beautiful sites too. The most
annoying part about driving there was the traffic. Traffic in Orlando was insane and scary. You have
no idea how long the stoplight lines were. We had to wait two

Similarities Between Letters To Alice And Fay Weldon
Education has been a complex concept and remains a relevant notion in texts across time.
Women were encouraged to pursue an education in both the regency period and the 20th century. But
the type of education encouraged for women in the regency period differs substantially from the kind
offered in the 20th century as they were shaped through the respective contexts of their surroundings.
This is evident when comparing Jane Austen s 1813 Regency social satire Pride and Prejudice, and
Fay Weldon s 1984 postmodern epistolary work, Letters to Alice, as both texts manifest how changes
in their social context have resulted in the altered position of the type of education encouraged for
women, through the inclusion of different language features, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The trees within the image is positioned to symbolise the females within the regency period and the
20th century. On the left page, from the sky, symbols of music, art, statues of dancers and the modern
languages are pouring down to nourish these trees, highlighting the type of education that was
encouraged for women in the regency period. Under these trees there are symbols of music, art, dance
and modern languages hanging off their branches to symbolise the acquired education that regency
females received from their nourishment. The page on the right hand side highlights trees and fertile
seeds growing with an invisible force from the sky to indicate that the spectrum for education towards
women is not constricted. This indicates that females were encouraged to participate in all the various
types of education. Subsequently, the trees produce different symbols of education, such as books,
universities and career pathways. In between these two types of trees there is a line which separates
these two to represent that although females from both periods were encouraged towards education,
both differ in the type of education they were encouraged as a result of their context. Thus, as a result
of their context the items in which these trees grow are

Oprah Winfrey Celebrity Home
Celebrity homes are always so inspiring because money isn t a factor for them. To buy land and build
the house of their dreams is something many people would love to do. Well, even if you re unable to
afford the type of real estate featured, you can still recreate the wow factor on a smaller scale. It just
takes some creativity and a good realtor on your side.
Oprah Winfrey is known for her television prowess and her ability to relate to the average American.
As a result, she s been rewarded in many ways including her finances. With a net worth of $3.1
Billion, Oprah Winfrey can easily purchase the best real estate that money can buy. In her vacation
home in Telluride, CO., she has an extensive wine cellar, 8700 square feet and a treetop fire pit. If this
sounds like a dream to you, there are ways to include these elements in your future home. For wine
lovers, it might be nice to consider purchasing a home with a finished basement. Turn part of the
basement into your own personal wine cellar. A treetop fire pit may be hard to find, but you can
certainly look for a home with a rooftop terrace. Once that s done, you just need to focus on
purchasing a good fire pit. Consider contacting a Colorado realtor to find properties with elements that
are similar to Ms. Winfrey s home.

Central Characters In The Love In John Williams, By John...
1.) The 2 of the central characters in the novel are Ted and Miranda. They have been married for 3
years and relationship began when they met at a party. She introduced herself to him and they got
married a year later. Ted has realized his wife is cheating on him with their building contractor. She is
using him for his wealth. Before their marriage was going great but now Ted is having an affair with a
girl named Lily he met at an airport, who is also a major character of the novel as she is going to help
Ted murder his wife.
2.) One healthy aspect of Miranda and Ted s relationship is that they tend to get along quite well and
never argued. Ted mentions this when is talking to Lily about his relationship with Miranda before he
caught her cheating and he says, Our relationship was perfect, we never argued (Swanson 18). The
second health aspect in their relationship was that they trusted each other at one point. Ted says, Her
answer was such a shock... when she lied about being with Brad (Swanson 46). He trusted her and she
lied straight to his face. The third healthy aspect is that Ted loved Miranda for her and her beauty didn
t matter. Her beauty didn t mean a thing. Yea, she was pretty but I liked her for her. says Brad when he
is thinking of when he first met Miranda (Swanson 89).
3.) One unhealthy aspect of their relationship is that Miranda is cheating on Ted with a man named

Discriminating Against Muslims
Discriminating against the people that believe in the Muslim religion is a rising issue that has broke
out to many across the nation. President Trump has even signed a executive order to ban the number
of Muslims that enter the country each year as Trump cut the amount of refugees that enter the country
in half (Zapotosky, Nakamura, and Hauslohner). In addition, this will help with acts of terror within
the country, but looking from the outside it appears as racist. Although, not all Muslims are terrorist, to
reduce the amount of attacks is through the ban of Muslims. Also, by doing this it will create about
50,000 more jobs for the Americans. This could help more than just the belief of terrorism; in

Australian Health Care Essay
Oral health in Australia is a concern. The impact of poor dental health can instigate ulcers, gingivitis,
gum disease and damage one s overall health. Tooth decay is extensive among Australian adults, and
tooth aches are a considerable amount of hospital admission for children (Parliament of Australia,
2013). Two in three children aged 14 years have deteriorated permanent teeth, while three in ten adults
receive no treatment at all. Adults living in rural Australia are 1.7 times more likely to have no teeth
than those in major cities. 14 percent of children and 37 percent of adults avoid or delaying seeing a
dentist due to costs (Australian Institude of Health and Welfare, 2012). The advantages of installing a

The impact on the health system alone will have a dynamic consequences for younger Australians.
Financing this becomes problematic, Australia already spends 9.5 percent of gross domestic product
(GPI) was health care services (Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development, 2013) and
costs will only escalate. The health workforce in 2011 had 3.3 doctors and 10.1 nurses per 100 000
population however 25 percent of those were over the age of 55 years (Organisation for Economic Co
operation and Development, 2013). Then there is community expectations on receiving services free
or at a very low cost. Not to mentation globalisation which requires high efficient technology to
transmit information internationally and finally government overregulation.
Ensuring effective and cost efficient health care is not an easy battle however, some pre planning is
required. Similar to superannuation funds, a foundation needs to be established for each Australian
worker, then a percentage of their income should be paid directly into this reserve and may be drawn
against when health care issues arise. This would elevate some of the financing pressure and
community expectations. The Medicare levy tax would still be charged to cover medical training,
research, technology and assist vulnerable Australians.

The Food Of Biscuits And Imports Of Various Biscuits...
There are a few large local manufacturers of different biscuits and imports of various biscuit brands in
Fiji. Punjas and Flour Mills of Fiji (FMF) Foods Limited are a few local manufactures of different
types of biscuits produced in Fiji for local and international consumption (FMF Foods Limited, 2016).
Biscuit products that are being sold in Fiji market are well differentiated through different packagings
and manufacturer brand names (Punjas, n.d.). Consumers in Fiji do not show loyalty towards any
particular products, this is because Fiji has low GDP and income per capita. Therefore consumers
buying is totally dependent on the price of the product (Schultz, 2009). In late 2004, Fiji Government
accepted a competition policy based on the principle of promoting contestability by eliminating entry
and exit barriers, market agents must be free to enter and exit the market (Dakunimata, n.d.). This
approach gives a sound basis for promoting better competition and thus entrepreneurship in Fiji (
Strategic development plan 2007 2011, n.d.). There is a range of biscuit products that are
manufactured in Fiji and imported internationally that can act as a substitute for Griffin s biscuits
(Motibhai Fiji, n.d.). As discussed earlier, there are a few large suppliers (manufacturers) of biscuit in
Fiji, the biscuit products are distinguishable, there are few substitutes available for biscuits, therefore
biscuit suppliers have some bargaining power in the market ( Porter s model of

Half marathon, actually. Without breaking his fluid stride, Lancelot turned and flashed Merlin a wide

running for over two hours.
Feels like a hundred marathons, Merlin countered.
On the bright side, it was a mild and sunny Christmas day, and Merlin was, after all, running next to

Merlin saw the fierce determination in his best friend s eyes and nodded.
Slowly, hobbling along, Merlin and Lancelot drew closer and closer to the finish line. The crowd went
wild for them, shouting encouragement and snapping photos with their cell phones.
Merlin and Lancelot were a mere few yards from the end when Merlin spotted their friends standing at
the sideline, wearing jaunty Santa hats, holding up hand drawn signs that read Team Merlin and
Lancelot, as they hopped up and down and screamed their bloody lungs out.
As the two best friends dragged themselves across the line finishing with their worst time ever Merlin
could not conjure up a shred of disappointment. He was bleeding and pained, but he and Lancelot

T. Coraghessan Boyle s Greasy Lake
Greasy Lake Essay In a short story of Greasy Lake by T. Coraghessan Boyle points out the characters
from going Good to be Bad where everything happened in Greasy Lake. It all started with the main
characters, The Narrator, Digby, and Jeff, being bad characters and drinking underage. One night they
all went up to Greasy Lake, and they did any terrible act that was possible. Later that night, they were
driving and Digby spotted Tony Lovett s car. The story gets worse when the narrator loses his keys,
and realized it was not Tony s car. Digby and Jeff were involved to fight off the bad character and the
narrator had no choice but to use a tire iron he kept under the driver s seat and smash the bad character
head. Another car shows up to scene and everyone ran away, once the narrator ended up in the lake
and found the dead body floating. Right where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

second character Jeff, was thinking of quitting school to become a painter/musician/head shop. The
third character is the narrator, who always wears a torn up leather jacket and was also setting bad
example to his friends and anyone around. The narrator started his badness by sniffed glue, or
somebody claimed it was cocaine and drank gin and grape juice, (Boyle 687). Together the teenagers
were being rebellious looking for trouble in the summer evening. Throughout the story the characters
ran into some trouble, but what caught the narrator to change his appearance was when he saw the
dead body in the lake. When the group reunited by the next morning, they appear to be disappointed
of the action they had taken. The end of story changed the character s actions from being bad to
rebellious free. Boyle uses characters to provide a lesson for readers to understand that there are

Essay on Mezzanine Finance Explained
Mezzanine Finance by Corry Silbernagel Davis Vaitkunas Bond Capital With a supplement by Ian
Giddy
Mezzanine Debt Another Level To Consider
Mezzanine debt is used by companies that are cash flow positive to fund: further growth through
expansion projects; acquisitions; recapitalizations; and, management and leveraged buyouts. When
mezzanine debt is used in conjunction with senior debt it reduces the amount of equity required in the
business. As equity is the most expensive form of capital, it is most cost effective to create a capital
structure that secures the most funding, offers the lowest cost of capital, and maximizes return on
equity. Mezzanine debt has been around for over 30 years, however its use in Western Canada and the
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although it makes up a portion of a company s total available capital, mezzanine financing is critical
to growing companies and in succession planning in recent years. The gap in funding between senior
debt and equity is common for the following reasons: 1) accounts receivable, inventories and fixed
assets are being discounted at greater rates than in the past for fear that their values will not be realized
in the future; 2) many balance sheets now contain significant intangible assets, and, 3) as a result of
defaults and regulatory pressure, banks have placed ceilings on the amount of total debt a company
can obtain. While additional liquidity can be obtained from equity investors, equity is the most
expensive source of capital. Further, equity capital, by its nature, dilutes existing shareholders. As a
result, mezzanine debt can be an attractive alternative way to obtain much needed capital.
Capital Structures
While there are no hard and fast rules for optimizing a company s capital structure, companies that are
ahead of the curve use an efficient combination of senior debt, mezzanine debt, and equity capital to
minimize their true cost of capital.

Control Over The Mind In George Orwell s 1984
Charles Darwin, founder of theory of evolution, once said, The highest possible stage in moral culture
is when we recognize that we ought to control our thoughts. If the highest point is control over
thoughts, then the lowest point must be when individuals have no control over their own minds. This
is evident through Ingsoc regime s philosophy on thought control in Orwell s 1984 where people don t
have freedom of thought. Another example which demonstrates how control over mind leads to
corruption of humanity itself is through Stanley s criticism on 1984 where he illustrates that by
controlling what is in minds of people government puts one in a stage of unconsciousness which helps
gov abuse people as mindless machine. Moreover, North Korea and ISIS government s manipulation
of children s mind proofs that these children loose morals as a result of being dictated these thoughts
and having it controlled by gov without even knowing it. Furthermore, the abuse of humanity through

5 Big Steps Parents Can Take To Help Their Kids Gain More Independence For Preschool From social

their developing lives, independence is what s going to help them succeed and excel, once they re on

As hard as it is to just stand by and watch your child, whether they re succeeding or not, they need that
space to learn, evolve and experiment, or else they re always going to be looking for you to rescue
them. Entering any preschool program, your child won t have the luxury of constant individual
attention, meaning they will have no choice but to sink or swim. Since you want them to swim, start
giving them room to self resolve issues now, while they still have you as a safety net. Before long,
they ll understand that if they want some problems solved, they have to put on their thinking caps, use
patience and take matters into their own little hands. If it seems hard for you to cease the hoovering,
just wait until you feel the total exhilaration of watching your child accomplish something all on their
own; it s such a breath taking moment for parents, you ll automatically start giving them more room to
act independently in many instances. 3. Assign A Simple Job To Your Child You don t realize how
much your child depends on you for everything, until you ask them to do something on their own.
They might look at you as if you re perfectly out of your mind or they might even cry about the new
task, but being a responsible, working member of a team in your house is going to go a long way
toward helping your child succeed in a busy classroom. Give them a simple job they must tend to

Use Of Romanticism In The Human Seasons By John Keats
Romanticism in literature was used widely in Europe towards the end of the eighteenth century and is
characterized by adoration of nature, celebration of an individual, strong emotions, interest in man,
and the importance of imagination. There are many poems which use romanticism to convey its
meaning to the reader. The Human Seasons by John Keats is a poem about the emotions of man and is
symbolized with the four seasons of winter, spring, summer, and autumn. John Keats is regarded as
one of the most well known romantic poets alongside Lord Byron. The poem conveys the use of
romanticism to the reader through the use of awe of nature, interest in the common man, importance
of imagination, and strong senses of emotions to intrigue the reader. Nature is used throughout the
poem through the seasons of spring, summer, autumn and fall, which symbolize emotions of humans
and give an insight in the interest in the common man. Each individual season is very different from
each other and represents a distinct human emotion or stage of life. The characteristic awe of nature is
used by Keats to make a connection between human emotions and nature. There is also an interest in
the common man in which the reader learns about the changing emotions of man when the seasons
change. Keat s describes the human season s saying, There are four seasons in the mind of man (l.2).

Corporate Restructure
Corporate Restructuring Motives and Methods
Corporate restructuring is one of the most complex and fundamental phenomena that management
confronts. Each company has two opposite strategies from which to choose: to diversify or to refocus
on its core business. While diversifying represents the expansion of corporate activities, refocus
characterizes a concentration on its core business. From this perspective, corporate restructuring is
reduction in diversification. This involves a significant change in one or more of the following *
Pattern of ownership and control * Composition of liability * Asset mix of the firm.
It is a comprehensive process by which a company can consolidate its business operations and

reposition the company with consumers.
Corporate Restructuring entails a range of activities including financial restructuring and organization

Financial Restructuring
Financial restructuring is the reorganization of the financial assets and liabilities of a corporation in
order to create the most beneficial financial environment for the company. Just about every business
goes through a phase of financial restructuring at one time or another. In some cases, the process of
restructuring takes place as a means of allocating resources for a new marketing campaign or the
launch of a new product line. When this happens, the restructure is often viewed as a sign that the
company is financially stable and has set goals for future growth and expansion.
Need For Financial Restructuring
Process of financial restructuring may be undertaken as a means of eliminating waste from the
operations of the company. The restructuring effort may find that two divisions or departments of the
company perform related functions and in some cases duplicate efforts. In some cases, financial

Reflection On Social Work
I ve now been at my placement for over a month and have experienced many different opportunities.
Over the last few weeks I learned about the process of facilitating a care conference with family
members and the resident. I learned how to write up notes about the care conference to chart. Another
learning experience I discovered was the process of guardians for residents who cannot make their
own decisions. My supervisor and I sat down to discuss the process and went through paperwork on
how to become a guardian. I learned a lot about Power of Attorney s during this time and the legal
work behind guardianship. Later, my supervisor said I d be able to go to a guardianship court hearing
to watch the process unfold. I m looking forward to that so I can see the whole picture of the
guardianship process. I got to experience what is called a departure at Bethel Home. A resident had
passed and the staff received the family s permission for the departure ceremony. The staff gathered in
the hall and said a prayer with the family, and then they sang Amazing Grace. It was something I had
never experienced before and it was very emotional for the staff and the family members. It was a
helpful way for the family and staff to receive closure. Over the past month I am beginning to
understand the flow of Bethel Home. I am starting to get a feel for what the social worker s
responsibilities are and an understanding of other positions. I m starting to ask more questions and I m

Home Ranges And The Temporal Distribution Of That Use Is...
Estimating home ranges and understanding habitat use and the temporal distribution of that use is
essential for understanding and conserving wildlife populations. As a concept, home range can be
defined as the area traversed by an individual in its normal activities of foraging, mating and caring
for young (Burt, 1943). In this way, a home range can be thought of as a spatial depiction of behaviors
fundamental to a species evolution and persistence. While its ecological significance is clear, the
anthropocentric importance of a species home range derives from its role in mediating human wildlife
interactions and wildlife management. The size and amount of overlap among individuals home
ranges as well as the timing of habitat use within a home range will affect the probability and nature of
human wildlife encounters. In most jurisdictions, habitat management is a fundamental component of
wildlife management programs(E. J. Bergman, Bishop, Freddy, White, Doherty, 2014; K. Bergman,
2001; Fiedler, Landis, Wratten, 2008). This holds true for American black bears (Ursus americanus)
which are classified as a game species in 28 of the 41 states in which they are present (Hristienko
McDonald, 2007). Contemporary management programs often center on augmenting or maintaining
high quality wildlife habitat, the definition of which has primarily depended on a basic understanding
of the species general ecology. Black bears are the most widely distributed and smallest bodied

The Color Red In Toni Morrison s Beloved
In the 1987 novel Beloved, Toni Morrison uses may important symbols that contribute to the novel s
message. One of the most significant symbols, however, is the use of color. Just as human nature is
both positive and negative, the color red is used in both good and bad connotations, shifting through
the novel. Anticipated and feared, the color red persists through the novel, representing death, love,
and ultimately, hope.
One of the most prominently negative experiences with the color is when the characters attended a
carnival and see dying, rotting red roses leading up the gates. While walking characters could smell
the stench of rotten roses (Morrison 56). Analyzing deeper, readers can realize that the red roses are
more than just what they seem to be but rather a metaphor for the character s mortality and sufferings
of the past. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Causes And Failures Of Hurricane Katrina
Katrina Failures
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, multiple failures exposed communication breakdowns, roles and
responsibilities. Civil unrest followed after local law enforcement, abandoned their legal duties.
Historically, the Posse Comitatus Act created barriers. These barriers slowed down the response of
federal support. The President and governor struggled over control of the National Guard. The city of
New Orleans suffered economically and through loss of life. With the pullout of the police, they fell
into a different category that called for implantation of martial law using an outside policing force.
The actions of Governor Blanco are ill prepared at most. Post Katrina in Louisiana was painfully
obvious as the total failure of state and federal government s anger looms towards the revision of an
outdated law.
Actions
The Posse Comitatus Act says that Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly
authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force
as a Posse Comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not
more than two years, or both. (Added Aug. 10, 1956, ch. 1041, § 18(a), 70A Stat. 626; amended Pub.

MAC Mission Statement
This is a daunting question and I have had to think long and hard about how I can answer it with
examples of some of my best work. Throughout my professional life as an interpreter/guide/educator,
a site is typically defined as the location of a significant event and an event is defined as an important,
organized occurrence involving several people. This left me to determine what makes any particular
organized event significant. The answer was simple the event furthers the mission of my employer. It
is in this context that I present some of my experiences.
I held the position of Airport Tour Coordinator at the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) from
1987 to 1995. The wording of the MAC mission statement has changed over the years, but its
fundamental principle is to connect you to the world with the best airport experience in by operating a
safe and efficient system of airports .

coordination of the 400 employees within the MAC departments, ranging from public safety to field

bringing that many people onto an active airfield also required close coordination with the Federal

Florida Panther I did my report on the Florida Panther. Playing basketball as a Kentucky Wesleyan
Panther, made me want to do research about one of the many species of panthers. These species are
going through endangerment and will probably be extinct in the near future. They were listed in the
Endangered Act in 1967, so one positive is they have held on for some years now. There are about
eighty to about one hundred Florida panthers still living today. The historic range of the Florida
panther extends from Florida to Louisiana throughout the Gulf Coast states and Arkansas. These
species are distributed all around southwestern tip of Florida. They are all around distributed ... Show

The government basically gave up trying to help out these species twenty years ago. There are some
efforts that can be made. Activists and government officials in Florida have been effective in securing
some funding for panther recovery; Activists have been especially critical of the Florida panther
license plate program, which funds the Florida Panther Research and Management Trust Fund.
Launched in nineteen ninety, the license plate has generated significant funding for Florida panthers:
License plate sales raised $2.66 million in nineteen ninety eight to nineteen ninety nine and $2.49
million in nineteen ninety nine to two thousand. According to state statute, the Florida Panther
Research and Management Trust Fund should be used to increase panther food sources, determine
conflicts between public use and panther survival, maintain genetic variability, and support
management and enforcement activities that protect panther habitat, in addition to educating the public
about panthers and their conservation and working towards reestablishing panthers. When they are
invested in panther conservation, experts contend that they are not directed to the panther s most
immediate needs such as preserving and acquiring habitat or furthering objectives for establishing
additional panther populations. The Auditor General for the state of Florida has undertaken an audit of

Lord Of The Flies And Animal Farm Comparative Analysis
Savagery restricted in society in Lord of the Flies: annotated bibliography Gulbin, Suzanne. Parallels
and Contrasts in Lord of the Flies and Animal Farm. The English Journal, Vol. 55, No. 1, Jan.1966, pp.
86 88+92. The fundamental objective of this scholarly article is to compare and contrast the two
controversial novels Animal farm and Golding s Lord of the Flies. When writing this piece the author
had several points, such as how the two books reflect society, how each book has a specific incident
that results in the breakdown of the established order, dissension between the protagonist and
antagonist, and four more strong compelling ties between the stories. However, for my research only
one comparison was useful to my point and that would be how in both stories there is a transformation
between humans and savages. When writing this comparison the author discusses civilization s role in
this process. She claims that in Lord of the Flies Golding creates the idea that every man is part savage
and that savagery is concealed only by the barrier of civilization and sociological norms. The author
also presents the idea that these restrictions society implement are very fragile, stating that it only
takes a couple of people to revert back to savagery to turn a group of people into animals. This is
shown by the pig s head that was mutilated by flies, which symbolizes the evil and degenerate in man
and particular in Jack, who as a pig or savage, becomes lord of nothing

Self Confidence Speech
Self confidence helps children and adults be more successful individuals. People with self confidence
make friends easier, accomplish more, and are less likely to be plagued with sleep disorders, social
disorders, depression, and anxiety. Obviously teaching your kids to be self confident is an important
parental responsibility. Five of the best ways to do this is to let your children known its okay to make
mistakes, to expose them to new activities, places and people every day, to show unconditional love,
avoid comparisons to others and encourage rather than praise.
Mistakes Are Okay The fastest way to decrease a child s self confidence is to make them afraid of
making a mistake. You may think only a really mean parent would make their child feel bad about
themselves just for making a mistake, but it isn t as easy as that. Kids are very good at picking up
feelings of disappointment, disapproval, and shame. They are also very good at blaming themselves
for everything that goes wrong. Being over protective (and let s be honest, you know if you are) can
create a deep feeling of insecurity for a child. You tell your child to not run through the house and then
you around and he s fallen and skinned his knee and he ll feel that he got hurt because he was bad. The
more controlling and domineering you are as a parent the less you child will believe in themselves.
Instead bring your child to many different events and places and encourage, not push them to try
anything and everything.

The European Expansion and its Effects on the World Essay
The growth of commerce and industry led to the technological advances, which in turn stimulated, and
were stimulated by science. (p. 403) The European scientific revolution was fueled by the blending of
liberal and servile arts, in other words, science and technology. Because of the European expansion
taking place throughout the world, new commerce and industries were advancing, creating the need
for new technology and science. The theories and inventions that Copernicus, Galileo, and Newton
provided were the fist major advances during the scientific revolution, and perhaps were the most
profound.

Improvements in communication and transportation became apparent in the nineteenth century due to
the expansion of the textile, mining and metallurgy industries. By the middle of the nineteenth century,
communication was transformed by the invention of the electronic telegraph and the transatlantic
cable, which Established instant communication between the old and new worlds. (p. 413)
Transportation was also transformed by canal and road building, as well as the introduction of
locomotives and steamboats.
The newly independent United States was the Pioneer in developing mass production techniques (p.
413), which revolutionized industry throughout the modern world. The assembly line, crafted by
Henry Ford, as well as advanced mechanical devices exemplified by the steel industry lead to mass
production of goods that was previously unfathomable.
The industrial revolution had several effects on Europe including: increased population, urbanization,
increased wealth, consumerism and new roles for women. Increased productivity in agriculture, as
well as advances in medical science, led to a population boom throughout Europe, and this, in part
lead to the urbanization European cities. The industrial revolution also affected social classes and
wealth. An overall improvement in wages and standards of living could be seen across economic
levels by second half of the nineteenth century. Perhaps one of the biggest transformations among

The Day When Christ Will Return

Matthew 24:36 44 ONLY THE FATHER KNOWS The Day When Christ Will Return.
My grand kids are getting to the point where they love to play hide and seek. But they really don t
play it well. First, there is the issue of counting. It is difficult to be patient enough to count to ten and
there is the problem that if you don t know 2,3,4,5,6 go in the middle you get to ten really fast. And it
s so fun to say Ready or Not, Here I Come they want to just skip to that part. Then there is the ongoing
problem of where to hide which basically requires an understanding of the issue of hiding. Curling up

This uncertainty is beneficial for our spiritual life.
Jesus is still answering the disciples questions asked in Matthew 24:3 As he sat on the Mount of
Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be
the sign of your coming and of the end of the age? (Matthew 24:3, ESV) The setting is the Mount of
Olives. The lessons are called the Olivet Discourse. The longest answer Jesus gave to any line of
questioning.
The first part of their question: When will these things be? relates to the destruction of Jerusalem and
the temple and is graphically described in verses 15 28. The second part of their question relates to
knowing the sign of Christ s coming and we looked at that last week in verses 29 35. And regarding
the question of the end of the age, the disciples are told they cannot know when the end of the age is in
verse 36. Only the Father knows.
Which brings a question to our minds? Does Jesus know now? John MacArthur says: Although He
was fully God as well as fully man (John 1:1, 14), Christ voluntarily restricted His use of certain
divine attributes when He became flesh. Who though he was in the form of God, did not count
equality with God a thing to be

Comparing the Use of Symbols in Steinbeck s The...
John Steinbeck wrote The Chrysanthemums where the protagonist, Elisa maintains her flower garden
with a flower called Chrysanthemums. In a daily routine, Elisa s husband Henry is a typical farmer
who was busy with his orchard and steers, while Elisa, a housewife tends to her garden as the
chrysanthemums were shown as Elisa s children. Written by Susan Glaspell, Trifle was a play about
Mrs. Wright who was put through an investigation where she was the main suspect in the case of her
husband s death. In the play Trifles , the canary symbolizes a child for Mrs. Wright who s also a house
wife and she took care of that bird like it was her child. The bird (canary) in Trifles is symbolically
similar to the flowers in the Steinbeck story ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Wright s trapped and when Mr. Wright wrung it s neck, Mrs. Wright felt as her husband took her child
s (canary) life. While Mrs. Wright is investigated, Elisa tended herself to the chrysanthemums, like
they were all she had. Elisa, also a housewife, usually had activities involved in routine housework
and maintaining her flower garden, that was filled with chrysanthemums. She took care of the
chrysanthemums as if they were her children, and being a farmers wife, she had more free time than
her husband, Henry. When the tinker, also known as the tin man, came up to Elisa for work he tried to
manipulate her into giving him some work to do. When the tinker saw there was no way Elisa would
give him work, he tried to work her. What s them plants, ma am? (Steinbeck, 208). Tinker asked Elisa
about the plants probably so he could influence her about chrysanthemums that way they bond on the
subject of the flowers and from there Elisa started to explain the importance of these flowers. Elisa
doesn t realize she s being played with until near the end when tinker finally leaves she waves
goodbye to him but her voice drops as she says the word Goodbye to goodbye , finding that the tinker
threw Elisa s chrysanthemums away (Steinbeck, 210). This quote showed the attachment for the
chrysanthemums Elisa had, and the minute the tinker threw away those flowers, it broke Elisa s heart.
This makes Elisa thinks about how a man can get what he wants while Elisa

Fate In Romeo And Juliet
Fate is the most influential factor in the play of Romeo and Juliet because it was responsible for the
couple s heartbreaking tragedy. By fate, the pair meet each other while the stars are crossed, cursing
them with a dreadful fortune. Because of fate, the two young lovers meet each other in the first place
and for that moment, Romeo and Juliet these unaware star crossed lovers are bound to death. In
Shakespeare s Romeo and Juliet, the impression that Romeo and Juliet s death is brought about by
cruel overwhelming fate is true, because it is not a coincidence that Romeo meets Juliet at the Capulet
party, the pair of star crossed lovers are the offspring of sworn enemies, and Friar Lawrence s plan was
bound to fail. It is not a coincidence ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, instead of Romeo getting word from the Friar fate caused Balthasar give Romeo
inaccurate information by saying about Juliet s that her body sleeps in Capel s monument, and her
immortal part with angels lives . Though it seems like an accident that Balthasar is the one to tell
Romeo about Juliet s death, it is more likely that fate had a greater influence in the communication
about Juliet s false death. By fate, Balthasar comes to Romeo and tells him what he has witness. Friar
Lawrence s plan is also ruined because Friar John is unable to deliver the critical message to Romeo.
He tells that Friar that [he] could not send it (here it is again), nor get a messenger to bring it thee, so
fearful were they of infection . Because Friar Lawrence s message plans an important part to the plan
he creates, the fact that it is never sent proves to be a deadly factor in the play. Romeo, not knowing
that Juliet is not really dead, he decides that he can not live without her because he is rash, which leads
him to his impending death. The fate put in Friar Lawrence s plan leaves Romeo with a desire to die
since he never received the correct news, which destines both him and Juliet to their

The Importance Of Speech Anxiety
Stage freight and speaking in front of large groups of people is on top of every human fear. Face to
face public speaking puts hefty demands on speakers and listeners. The mixture of personality, body
and voices as well as chemistry makes speech a form of communication with exciting energy.
Irrespective of the attention given, it will create a significant and meaningful message. Without an
effective presentation the speech will unlikely create desire effects. In the article Don t be Shy (Aviv,
2016) it states how public speaking affects students to the point they will drop the class as long as they
don t have to speak in front of it or even sitting in class and having to raise your hand to ask a question
in front of the class stops many students due to fear of embarrassment. We all struggle with
communication anxiety, and uneasiness with unfamiliar situations. It also describes how improving
certain aspects in presentations will allow enough experience and confidence to have the ability to
successfully speak publicly, because we all know that speaking well if often crucial to getting a job.
The article has some good points, teaching the students first hand to overcome stage freight. One
professor helped her students with communication anxiety urging them to make index cards with
opening lines for starting conversations (Aviv, 2016). Universities are all aware of the anxiety that
goes into communication with others. Penn State created a Speech Anxiety course to

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Micro Insurance
Micro insurance
Dealing with risks such as health problems, loss of crops, loss of livestock, the death of a family
member, loss of assets, income and employment is much harder by poor and low income groups than
others. Many poor households engage in activities which are smaller and bringing greater degree of
risk and uncertainty and therefore likely scale financial risks and income. Every serious illness, every
accident and every natural disaster threatens the existence of the poor and usually leads to more
poverty. Thus the vicious cycle of poverty carries on.

Market Structure Of An Economics Perspective Essay
Introduction
Market structure from an economics perspective is defined as the characteristics of the market that
impacts the behavior or way firms operate, which economists use to determine the nature of
competition, and pricing tactics of businesses in the market. Within a market, the market structures are
distinguished by key features, including the number of sellers, homogeneous or differentiated goods or
services produced, pricing power, level of competition, barriers to entering or exit the markets,
efficiency, and profits. The interaction and differences among these features resulted in four market
structures of competition: perfect competition, monopolistic competition, oligopoly, and monopoly.
Economist assembled the four market structures into two groups; perfectly competitive market and
imperfectly competitive market, which are vastly distinct when it come to the different market
competitions that need to be satisfied.
A major issue for existing firms in some market structures is the entry of new competitors, and this is
because of the potentially unfavorable effects new participants might have on the market s real
revenue and profits. Entry barriers are specifically designed to prevent new competitors from entering
a profitable market freely. Based on the level of barriers, it can be relatively easy or difficult for new
firms to enter the market. Therefore, high entry barriers may have a positive or negative influence a
firm s long run profitability, cost

Analysis Of Chopin s Chopin
This news comes from her husband s friend, who says that Brently Mallard has died in a railroad
accident. Mrs. Mallard s sister, Josephine, mindful of Mrs. Mallard s heart condition, breaks the news
to her in broken sentences and veiled hints (193). But when Mrs. Mallard hears the shocking news,
she undergoes a profound transformation that empowers her with a clear and exalted perception (194).
As Chopin demonstrates, this heightened consciousness comes to the protagonist because of her
awakened emotions. Revealing her own dynamic and avant garde understanding, Chopin rejects the
tradition of attributing supremacy to the faculty of reason in the act of perception, and she attributes it
instead to the faculty of emotions.
When she hears the news of her husband s death, Mrs. Mallard s obliviousness to the beauty of life
breaks down under the powerful impact of emotion. Until this moment, Mrs. Mallard hardly thinks it
worthwhile to continue her existence; as the narrator of the story says, It was only yesterday [Mrs.
Mallard] had thought with a shudder that life might be long (194). Her life until this point seems
devoid of emotion, as the lines in her face besp[ea]k repression (193). Upon hearing the news, her
sorrow gushes out in a torrent: She wept at once with sudden, wild abandonment (193). The narrator
points out, however, that Mrs. Mallard is not struck, as many women have been, by a paralyzed
inability to accept the painful sense of loss (193). On

The Religion of Buddhism is Based on Edifications of...
Buddhism is a religion predicated on the edifications of Siddhartha Gautama, who lived about 25
centuries ago in what is now Nepal and northeastern India. He came to be called the Buddha, which
betokens aroused one, after he experienced a profound realization of the nature of life, death and
subsistence. In English, the Buddha was verbalized to be enlightened, albeit in Sanskrit it is bodhi,
aroused. The two main goals of Buddhism are getting acquainted with ourselves and learning the
Buddha s edifications. To ken who we are, we require to understand that we have two natures. One is
called our mundane nature, which is composed of unpleasant feelings such as fear, vexation, and
jealousy. The other is our true nature, the component of us that is pristine, sagacious, and perfect. In
Buddhism, it is called the Buddha nature. The only distinguishment between us and the Buddha is that
we have not aroused to our true nature. Buddhists do not believe in a single, omniscient God. The
Buddhist understanding of the universe includes the apperception that there are an abundance of
aspects of this universe; this authenticity, that we don t understand. Through analytical rumination and
other practices we can understand the deeper truths about this authenticity; truths that is
indecipherable with our everyday minds. When we reach enlightenment we will understand it, and
until then there is no reason to believe that there either is or isn t a Deity. Buddhists aren t

  • 2. Florida Descriptive Narrative Florida Do you know when you are on a plane, your ears pop like crazy? Well, I know from experience, because I was on a plane to Florida for 2 ½ hours. My family, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents were all going to Florida. When the airplane takes off for the very first time, your ears are not used to the elevation, so it will mostly likely hurt. You eventually get used to the feeling of it, after a certain amount of time in the plane. We have been in this plane for 2 hours, Braden moaned. Are we gonna get there anytime soon? Yes, Mom replied. It s not long now until we land. It was about another half an hour before we finally landed in Orlando, Florida. The first thing we did when we got off the plane was gather our bags at the bag lot. We then proceeded to find our 15 passenger van that we had rented for the week. It took about another half an hour before we finally had found the van. I said in excitement, Finally we can get to our resort and unpack! Then we can get our swimming suits on and go to the pool! Jessa said lively. Hold on, Mom answered, We still have to find something for dinner before we do any swimming. It was about a 15 minute drive to our resort, but it was worth the 15 minutes. Orlando, Florida was so beautiful and it had a lot of beautiful sites too. The most annoying part about driving there was the traffic. Traffic in Orlando was insane and scary. You have no idea how long the stoplight lines were. We had to wait two ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Similarities Between Letters To Alice And Fay Weldon Education has been a complex concept and remains a relevant notion in texts across time. Women were encouraged to pursue an education in both the regency period and the 20th century. But the type of education encouraged for women in the regency period differs substantially from the kind offered in the 20th century as they were shaped through the respective contexts of their surroundings. This is evident when comparing Jane Austen s 1813 Regency social satire Pride and Prejudice, and Fay Weldon s 1984 postmodern epistolary work, Letters to Alice, as both texts manifest how changes in their social context have resulted in the altered position of the type of education encouraged for women, through the inclusion of different language features, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The trees within the image is positioned to symbolise the females within the regency period and the 20th century. On the left page, from the sky, symbols of music, art, statues of dancers and the modern languages are pouring down to nourish these trees, highlighting the type of education that was encouraged for women in the regency period. Under these trees there are symbols of music, art, dance and modern languages hanging off their branches to symbolise the acquired education that regency females received from their nourishment. The page on the right hand side highlights trees and fertile seeds growing with an invisible force from the sky to indicate that the spectrum for education towards women is not constricted. This indicates that females were encouraged to participate in all the various types of education. Subsequently, the trees produce different symbols of education, such as books, universities and career pathways. In between these two types of trees there is a line which separates these two to represent that although females from both periods were encouraged towards education, both differ in the type of education they were encouraged as a result of their context. Thus, as a result of their context the items in which these trees grow are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

President Trump has even signed a executive order to ban the number of Muslims that enter the country each year as Trump cut the amount of refugees that enter the country in half (Zapotosky, Nakamura, and Hauslohner). Tooth decay is extensive among Australian adults, and tooth aches are a considerable amount of hospital admission for children (Parliament of Australia, 2013). Two in three children aged 14 years have deteriorated permanent teeth, while three in ten adults receive no treatment at all. Adults living in rural Australia are 1.7 times more likely to have no teeth than those in major cities. 14 percent of children and 37 percent of adults avoid or delaying seeing a dentist due to costs (Australian Institude of Health and Welfare, 2012). Financing this becomes problematic, Australia already spends 9.5 percent of gross domestic product (GPI) was health care services (Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development, 2013) and costs will only escalate. The health workforce in 2011 had 3.3 doctors and 10.1 nurses per 100 000 population however 25 percent of those were over the age of 55 years (Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development, 2013). Similar to superannuation funds, a foundation needs to be established for each Australian worker, then a percentage of their income should be paid directly into this reserve and may be drawn against when health care issues arise. This would elevate some of the financing pressure and community expectations. • 8. The Food Of Biscuits And Imports Of Various Biscuits... There are a few large local manufacturers of different biscuits and imports of various biscuit brands in Fiji. Punjas and Flour Mills of Fiji (FMF) Foods Limited are a few local manufactures of different types of biscuits produced in Fiji for local and international consumption (FMF Foods Limited, 2016). Biscuit products that are being sold in Fiji market are well differentiated through different packagings and manufacturer brand names (Punjas, n.d.). Consumers in Fiji do not show loyalty towards any particular products, this is because Fiji has low GDP and income per capita. Therefore consumers buying is totally dependent on the price of the product (Schultz, 2009). In late 2004, Fiji Government accepted a competition policy based on the principle of promoting contestability by eliminating entry and exit barriers, market agents must be free to enter and exit the market (Dakunimata, n.d.). This approach gives a sound basis for promoting better competition and thus entrepreneurship in Fiji ( Strategic development plan 2007 2011, n.d.). There is a range of biscuit products that are manufactured in Fiji and imported internationally that can act as a substitute for Griffin s biscuits (Motibhai Fiji, n.d.). As discussed earlier, there are a few large suppliers (manufacturers) of biscuit in Fiji, the biscuit products are distinguishable, there are few substitutes available for biscuits, therefore biscuit suppliers have some bargaining power in the market ( Porter s model of ... Coraghessan Boyle points out the characters from going Good to be Bad where everything happened in Greasy Lake. It all started with the main characters, The Narrator, Digby, and Jeff, being bad characters and drinking underage. One night they all went up to Greasy Lake, and they did any terrible act that was possible. Later that night, they were driving and Digby spotted Tony Lovett s car. The story gets worse when the narrator loses his keys, and realized it was not Tony s car. Digby and Jeff were involved to fight off the bad character and the narrator had no choice but to use a tire iron he kept under the driver s seat and smash the bad character head. When mezzanine debt is used in conjunction with senior debt it reduces the amount of equity required in the business. As equity is the most expensive form of capital, it is most cost effective to create a capital structure that secures the most funding, offers the lowest cost of capital, and maximizes return on equity. Although it makes up a portion of a company s total available capital, mezzanine financing is critical to growing companies and in succession planning in recent years. The gap in funding between senior debt and equity is common for the following reasons: 1) accounts receivable, inventories and fixed assets are being discounted at greater rates than in the past for fear that their values will not be realized in the future; 2) many balance sheets now contain significant intangible assets, and, 3) as a result of defaults and regulatory pressure, banks have placed ceilings on the amount of total debt a company can obtain. While additional liquidity can be obtained from equity investors, equity is the most expensive source of capital. Further, equity capital, by its nature, dilutes existing shareholders. As a result, mezzanine debt can be an attractive alternative way to obtain much needed capital. Capital Structures While there are no hard and fast rules for optimizing a company s capital structure, companies that are ahead of the curve use an efficient combination of senior debt, mezzanine debt, and equity capital to minimize their true cost of capital. Control Over The Mind In George Orwell s 1984 Charles Darwin, founder of theory of evolution, once said, The highest possible stage in moral culture is when we recognize that we ought to control our thoughts. If the highest point is control over thoughts, then the lowest point must be when individuals have no control over their own minds. This is evident through Ingsoc regime s philosophy on thought control in Orwell s 1984 where people don t have freedom of thought. Another example which demonstrates how control over mind leads to corruption of humanity itself is through Stanley s criticism on 1984 where he illustrates that by controlling what is in minds of people government puts one in a stage of unconsciousness which helps gov abuse people as mindless machine. Strategies For Independence 5 Big Steps Parents Can Take To Help Their Kids Gain More Independence For Preschool From social skills to language skills and all kinds of problem solving techniques, your little one is in for some big learning when they enter a preschool program, but they could face challenges if the haven t acquired enough independence. Although it s your paternal instinct to take care of and control everything in their developing lives, independence is what s going to help them succeed and excel, once they re on their own in the classroom. Here are five important steps you can take to encourage more independence, in the most caring and supportive way: 1. As hard as it is to just stand by and watch your child, whether they re succeeding or not, they need that space to learn, evolve and experiment, or else they re always going to be looking for you to rescue them. Entering any preschool program, your child won t have the luxury of constant individual attention, meaning they will have no choice but to sink or swim. Since you want them to swim, start giving them room to self resolve issues now, while they still have you as a safety net. Before long, they ll understand that if they want some problems solved, they have to put on their thinking caps, use patience and take matters into their own little hands. If it seems hard for you to cease the hoovering, just wait until you feel the total exhilaration of watching your child accomplish something all on their own; it s such a breath taking moment for parents, you ll automatically start giving them more room to act independently in many instances. 3. Assign A Simple Job To Your Child You don t realize how much your child depends on you for everything, until you ask them to do something on their own. They might look at you as if you re perfectly out of your mind or they might even cry about the new task, but being a responsible, working member of a team in your house is going to go a long way toward helping your child succeed in a busy classroom. There are many poems which use romanticism to convey its meaning to the reader. The Human Seasons by John Keats is a poem about the emotions of man and is symbolized with the four seasons of winter, spring, summer, and autumn. John Keats is regarded as one of the most well known romantic poets alongside Lord Byron. The poem conveys the use of romanticism to the reader through the use of awe of nature, interest in the common man, importance of imagination, and strong senses of emotions to intrigue the reader. Nature is used throughout the poem through the seasons of spring, summer, autumn and fall, which symbolize emotions of humans and give an insight in the interest in the common man. Each individual season is very different from each other and represents a distinct human emotion or stage of life. The characteristic awe of nature is used by Keats to make a connection between human emotions and nature. • 20. Home Ranges And The Temporal Distribution Of That Use Is... Estimating home ranges and understanding habitat use and the temporal distribution of that use is essential for understanding and conserving wildlife populations. As a concept, home range can be defined as the area traversed by an individual in its normal activities of foraging, mating and caring for young (Burt, 1943). In this way, a home range can be thought of as a spatial depiction of behaviors fundamental to a species evolution and persistence. While its ecological significance is clear, the anthropocentric importance of a species home range derives from its role in mediating human wildlife interactions and wildlife management. The size and amount of overlap among individuals home ranges as well as the timing of habitat use within a home range will affect the probability and nature of human wildlife encounters. In most jurisdictions, habitat management is a fundamental component of wildlife management programs(E. J. Bergman, Bishop, Freddy, White, Doherty, 2014; K. Bergman, 2001; Fiedler, Landis, Wratten, 2008). This holds true for American black bears (Ursus americanus) which are classified as a game species in 28 of the 41 states in which they are present (Hristienko McDonald, 2007). Contemporary management programs often center on augmenting or maintaining high quality wildlife habitat, the definition of which has primarily depended on a basic understanding of the species general ecology. Parallels and Contrasts in Lord of the Flies and Animal Farm. The English Journal, Vol. 55, No. 1, Jan.1966, pp. 86 88+92. The fundamental objective of this scholarly article is to compare and contrast the two controversial novels Animal farm and Golding s Lord of the Flies. When writing this piece the author had several points, such as how the two books reflect society, how each book has a specific incident that results in the breakdown of the established order, dissension between the protagonist and antagonist, and four more strong compelling ties between the stories. However, for my research only one comparison was useful to my point and that would be how in both stories there is a transformation between humans and savages. When writing this comparison the author discusses civilization s role in this process. She claims that in Lord of the Flies Golding creates the idea that every man is part savage and that savagery is concealed only by the barrier of civilization and sociological norms. The author also presents the idea that these restrictions society implement are very fragile, stating that it only takes a couple of people to revert back to savagery to turn a group of people into animals. This is shown by the pig s head that was mutilated by flies, which symbolizes the evil and degenerate in man and particular in Jack, who as a pig or savage, becomes lord of nothing ... People with self confidence make friends easier, accomplish more, and are less likely to be plagued with sleep disorders, social disorders, depression, and anxiety. Obviously teaching your kids to be self confident is an important parental responsibility. Five of the best ways to do this is to let your children known its okay to make mistakes, to expose them to new activities, places and people every day, to show unconditional love, avoid comparisons to others and encourage rather than praise. Mistakes Are Okay The fastest way to decrease a child s self confidence is to make them afraid of making a mistake. You may think only a really mean parent would make their child feel bad about themselves just for making a mistake, but it isn t as easy as that. Kids are very good at picking up feelings of disappointment, disapproval, and shame. They are also very good at blaming themselves for everything that goes wrong. Being over protective (and let s be honest, you know if you are) can create a deep feeling of insecurity for a child. You tell your child to not run through the house and then you around and he s fallen and skinned his knee and he ll feel that he got hurt because he was bad. Though it seems like an accident that Balthasar is the one to tell Romeo about Juliet s death, it is more likely that fate had a greater influence in the communication about Juliet s false death. By fate, Balthasar comes to Romeo and tells him what he has witness. Friar Lawrence s plan is also ruined because Friar John is unable to deliver the critical message to Romeo. He tells that Friar that [he] could not send it (here it is again), nor get a messenger to bring it thee, so fearful were they of infection . Because Friar Lawrence s message plans an important part to the plan he creates, the fact that it is never sent proves to be a deadly factor in the play. Romeo, not knowing that Juliet is not really dead, he decides that he can not live without her because he is rash, which leads him to his impending death. The fate put in Friar Lawrence s plan leaves Romeo with a desire to die since he never received the correct news, which destines both him and Juliet to their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 36. Analysis Of Chopin s Chopin This news comes from her husband s friend, who says that Brently Mallard has died in a railroad accident. Mrs. Mallard s sister, Josephine, mindful of Mrs. Mallard s heart condition, breaks the news to her in broken sentences and veiled hints (193). But when Mrs. Mallard hears the shocking news, she undergoes a profound transformation that empowers her with a clear and exalted perception (194). As Chopin demonstrates, this heightened consciousness comes to the protagonist because of her awakened emotions. Revealing her own dynamic and avant garde understanding, Chopin rejects the tradition of attributing supremacy to the faculty of reason in the act of perception, and she attributes it instead to the faculty of emotions. When she hears the news of her husband s death, Mrs. Mallard s obliviousness to the beauty of life breaks down under the powerful impact of emotion. Until this moment, Mrs. Mallard hardly thinks it worthwhile to continue her existence; as the narrator of the story says, It was only yesterday [Mrs. Mallard] had thought with a shudder that life might be long (194). Her life until this point seems devoid of emotion, as the lines in her face besp[ea]k repression (193). Upon hearing the news, her sorrow gushes out in a torrent: She wept at once with sudden, wild abandonment (193). The narrator points out, however, that Mrs. Mallard is not struck, as many women have been, by a paralyzed inability to accept the painful sense of loss (193). On ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One is called our mundane nature, which is composed of unpleasant feelings such as fear, vexation, and jealousy. The other is our true nature, the component of us that is pristine, sagacious, and perfect. In Buddhism, it is called the Buddha nature. The only distinguishment between us and the Buddha is that we have not aroused to our true nature. Buddhists do not believe in a single, omniscient God. The Buddhist understanding of the universe includes the apperception that there are an abundance of aspects of this universe; this authenticity, that we don t understand. Through analytical rumination and other practices we can understand the deeper truths about this authenticity; truths that is indecipherable with our everyday minds. When we reach enlightenment we will understand it, and until then there is no reason to believe that there either is or isn t a Deity. Buddhists aren t ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
