Step 1: Build the Bot
Video Tutorials Available: http://coffeeforthebrain.com/brushartbot/
Materials:
• 1x toothbrush - choose one with a large surface area and flat bristles.
• 1x button cell battery or coin cell battery. 1.5V or the 3V ones. They should
both work fine.
• 1x vibrating pager motor - buy one with the unbalanced shaft.
• 1x double-sided foam tape – 1ʺ″ x 1ʺ″ - we will use this so you can experiment.
You can use glue or other adhesives, but this is the cheap easy option for
students to explore.
• 1x scissors - Scissors are to cut tape and sometimes I use to strip wires
being they are quite small. Not the safest but works. Also, they are used to
cut the toothbrushes.
