• What they do:
1. Regulation of the transport on Danube
2. Set rules on navigation
3. Protect the natural habitats
4. They set up and maintain the recreational spaces
5. They give permits for building on Danube

• Their goals:
1. Plastic–free Danube
2. To find the sources of pollution
3. Categorize the pollution
• Most common plastics found in the water are:
1. PET drink bottles
2. Food packaging
3. Household, sport & leisure
4. Foamed plastic
• A lot of sediments lead to flooding
• Not enough sediments lead to river drying and bridge collapses

• One of only two places in Austria where the Danube is free-flowing
• Their goals:
1. Protect the Danube and leap it clean
2. Protect the animals living in the park like the beaver and the wild
boar
3. Protect the plants growing in the park
4. Ensure that the park is as untouched by people as much as possible
• Fun fact – every 1m3 is change every 100 years
