2. Full DigiPak
In Micheal Jackson's "This is it" there is more available including a poster, lyrics as
well as lots of photos.
This DigiPak is special as it was released after his death, therefore there is more
inside to try and get people to buy it, also there is a market to sell too, as people
wanted to buy his last album so everything inside the DigPak is bonuses, for example
this DigiPak contains a 36 page booklet which contains lyrics, backstories, posters,
biography, thank you’s .
Another advantage of the large digipak is that it can hold more information. such as
tour dates and locations which might not fit onto one small panel in a small digipak.
3. Front Cover• Title of the album in Larger size,
bolder and all letter in capitals as it
literally meant ‘This Is It’, as MJ had
passed away before he could
perform this tour.
• The image on the front cover makes MJ look like a god/king which is suitable as
he was named the King of PoP.
• The bright background lightning outlines makes MJ look as if he in the skies
amongst clouds or smoke, making it look magical. And also appropriate due to the
circumstances.
• The inside of MJ’s figure is filled with pictures of the rehearsals of his show, this
was to be one of the biggest and most famous live performances he would have
done and remembered through history; the tickets sold out quite fast.
• A significant reason to why the album is so important and has many different
features.
• MJ’S figure is filled with bright images and the background is lightly colored,
making him stand out and the main focus of the cover. Another possible
representation of him being the ‘King of Pop’, could also mean he shines above
Every other artist.
4. Back Cover
• The back of the album cover has a second image of one of MJ’S notorious moves,
again continuing in portraying the ‘god’ like imagery of Michael.
• This second pose of MJ is one of his finishing moves which makes it suitable to be
at the end/back of the DigiPak, the move consists of him spinning and tilting his hat
or head down (found at the end of a song). This could be denoting the end of his
career, his death and last album .
• This DigiPak is a Deluxe 2 CD set.
• CD 1 has a range of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits that were in the order of how
they would be sung in the actual live show.
• The last two songs on CD 1 are 2 new un-released songs.
• CD 2 consisted of un-realeased versions of some of his greatest hits and a spoken
word poem that had never been heard before.
• The setup and layout of the DigiPak works well and it portrays the artist in the
best way after his recent death, and is designed to stand out and attract the right
