Tradition Tradition is the next aspect of the Quadrilateral. Wesley recognized that traditions that the
biblical followers of God and Christ developed are of extreme importance and we should embrace,

While as the case mentions, this will evolve as time goes on, this congregation will begin on this
goal by intentional steps for the many different members to get to know each other more deeply in
order to become a community. This could be as simple as sitting with someone new in worship each
week, or sticking around for a few minutes after the service to talk to someone new. This begs the
question, of how will this intentional focus be initiated? It will be initiated by the pastors that rotate
in the pulpit, by the teaching and preaching on the focus of becoming a community and how this is

Larry Watson in "Montana 1948" uses the motif of light and silence in many ways to reinforce ideas
about truth and injustice. He illustrates the injustice in Bentrock, a town barely inside the state's
border, through the motif of light/dark. Watson then demonstrates to the reader the occurrence of
something wrong through the motif of silence. In certain places, the motif of light assists the motif
of silence to emphasize the significance of the event. Watson further explores the themes of racism
and coming of age using the motifs. Watson in his text uses recurring motifs to develop ideas
making them clearer to his audience. Setting is used to emphasize the motif of silence.
It is without doubt that 'Montana 1948' is a tale about the struggle between truth and justice. During
the tragic events which took place in the 'Wild West' town of Bentrock, misuse of power and
reputation is seen through the tyrannical characters of Julian and Frank Hayden (add reference of

It has been said by many that George Whitefield was able to turn the place of worship into a
religious theater, with his energetic sermons. He was giving gruesome deceptions of hell, and was

This story illustrates the difference between good and evil. The grandmother and the Misfit are the
two main characters. The grandmother is an example of good, and the Misfit is an example of evil.
Throughout the story, the grandmother shows her love, passion, and caring attitude. The
grandmother loves her family but she has some manipulative ways, as she seizes at every chance she
gets to change Bailey's mind about driving to East Tennessee. It is evident throughout the story that

hippopotamus in one corner, and underneath it she was hiding a basket with Pitty Sing, the cat, in it

A family that consists of a grandmother, father, mother, and three grandchildren from Atlanta plans
to go to Florida for a family vacation. The grandmother is refusing to go to Florida because she has
"her connection in east Tennessee" (O'Connor 38). She points out from an article that the Misfit is
on the loose and is headed toward Florida and that "the children had been to Florida before"
(O'Connor 38). Nevertheless, the grandmother gets up early than everyone else, and prepares for the
trip. The next morning She is dressed up in her Sunday best "just in case of an accident, anyone
seeing her dead on the highway would know at once that she was a lady" (O'Connor 38). The
grandmother secretly brings along her cat because she does not want the cat to "accidentally
asphyxiate himself" (O'Connor 38) if he was to be left alone. The grandmother is too particular with

Coalbush United Methodist Church is in Mishawaka, Indiana. The Indiana Conference church
development team selected Coalbush as a strategic location for potential growth. The church is
located right off of the US 20 bypass on the south side of Mishawaka. The city is slowly moving out
toward the country, which is how this church views itself: a country church. Mishawaka is not
predicted to experience great growth in the next ten years with the make up of a household having
little change either. The majority of the people are Anglo–American with little diversity. This is a
somewhat traditional community where the majority of people report a sense of well–being. The
average household income is approximately $60,000. The largest age group is between 35–55 years
old.
I was appointed to Coalbush beginning July 1, 2016. I have been observing and serving as I attempt
to discover the unique context and setting for this local church in this season of their very long
history. The church mission and passion has been stalled for the last few years. The Coalbush United
Methodist Church entered a program about five years ago to help them evaluate their fruitfulness
and effectiveness of the church. It was determined that too much time was spent in meetings and not
enough time actually doing ministry. The church went through a three–year process of attempting to
restructure and lessen the many other committees of the church. Missions, Outreach, Assimilation,

to house the commodity to be donated. Fawn Grove Church of the Nazarene used the church
building until a 108,000 square foot warehouse was built in 2001. NCM contributed funds toward
the warehouse, but it was owned by the Fawn Grove Church. The commodity inside the warehouse
belonged to NCM, and NCM employed a warehouse manager, an office assistant, and a packing

think of them. Our version of a hero in modern times is someone does an action that would be
unheard of, this is common when firefighters do the unthinkable and enter a burning building often

In my last, in process paper I discussed how my pursuit of personal and social holiness developed
my calling in ministry. As I reflect on the journey of discovering my call to ministry, I cannot help
but to reflect on the mountaintops and valleys the Lord I have walked. It is refreshing and convicting
at the same time as I read through the texts for this module, knowing that the Holy Spirit is at work
refining me more like Christ, and also affirming the choices and decisions I have made to be where I
am today. As you read through this paper my hope is that one will see my personal/social victories
and failures, and how God has been at work molding me like a potter. I grew up in a Christian home,
or at least a partial Christian home. I say that because my mom had me in church every Sunday, but
my dad really did not take part in it unless it was Christmas or Easter. I mention this, because it was
in that partial Christian home, where I was first exposed to pornography. As I reflected on the
content of this module, my journey of overcoming temptations, and being forgiven for poor
decisions strikes a chord as I reflect on the process of integrity, and part of that journey has been
filled with the pollution of porn. Author Headley, describes Grace not so evident in its arrival, but
transforming in power (Headley, 180). This description resonates with me as I found myself in sin

Methodism, a denomination of Christianity. Wesley was the fifteenth of nineteen children that
belonged to Samuel and Susanna Wesley. John Wesley was brought up to be ecclesiastical, for his
father Samuel was a priest. Additionally, Susanna Wesley was an extremely religious woman,
raising to children to be pious by reading them Bible stories in the nursery. On days that the children
had the benefit of learning their alphabet, to later be capable of reading the Bible, Susanna Wesley
would dress them in their best. John Wesley studied at the University of Oxford where he proved to
be quite the scholar. Nearer to the end of Wesley's studies at university, he became a member of a
society which was founded by his brother Charles, mockingly called "the Holy Club". The Holy
Club's members swore to lead reverent lives, say their daily prayers and take communion once a
week. In 1735, Wesley was invited to serve as a pastor to British Colonists in Georgia. On the trip
over to the New World, there were issues with the ship. The group of Germans that was travelling
with them to preach to the Native Americans appeared were serene and unbothered by the
frightening circumstances. After the voyage, Wesley approached the leader of the Moravians and
asked why they were not frightened. The man replied by asking Wesley if he had faith in Christ.
This baffled Wesley and led to a surprising conversion.

He wrote a total of 37 plays revolving around several themes: history,tragedies,comedies and
tragicomedies. The plays he written troughout the years was his greatest achievments. Another one
of his greatest achevements was being called "englands greatest national poet". His most famous
