Puberty It occurs when the reproductive system matures and secondary sexual characteristics appear. Puberty starts when the pituitary gland sends hormones to the genital organs. Changes occurs   in boy ´ s and girl ´ s  bodies:  - Girls reach puberty between the ages of 11 and 14. -Boys reach puberty between the ages of 13 and 15. Sexual characteristics:  There are two tipes of sexual characteristics. Primary sexual characteristics :  They enable human beings to reproduce.We had these when we are born. Secondary sexual characteristics: -Voices, developed muscles and a lot of facial and body hair. -Women have high   voices, breast, wide hips and little body hair.

The female reproductive system The reproductive system : Both the male and the female reproductive system s  consist of internal and external genital organs. Ovaries:  They produce the  necessary  eggs  for reproduction. Ovulogenesis is the process of form a tion of the egg,or female gametes. Uterus: It is the organ where the baby develops during pregnancy . Vagina:  It is a channel wich connects the uterus to the outside of the body.Its function is to receive  the penis during sexual intercourse and   to push the baby out of her mother ´ s womb. Fallopian tubes :  They connect the ovaries to the uterus. This is the place, where the spermatozoide   passes throught  in  search of the ovule .
The male reproductive system The male reproductive system consists of a  group  of sexual organs that participates  in the human reproductive process. The male sex ual  organs are :  testes , vas deferens,  prostate gland and the penis . Two testes  :they produced the sperm  we need   for reproduction. The scrotum: It is a bag  made up  of skin which contains the two testicles. The  vas  deferens   :  sperm travel s  through th i s  pair of  tube s  to the urethra .  The urethra: sperm travel s  through this passage to the outside the  male  body. The seminal vesicles and the prostate gland : they produce a liquid to feed and transport sperm. The penis:  It is a muscle with a lot of capillaries. T he urethra  is inside   it .
