This document summarizes a presentation about a survey evaluating how well different learning management systems (LMS) support the elements of the Community of Inquiry model. The presentation discusses past surveys, the rationale for an updated survey focusing on the relationship between LMS satisfaction and the Community of Inquiry elements. It reviews the Community of Inquiry model and how it relates to different learning theories. The presentation shows survey results on overall quality, LMS satisfaction, and the three Community of Inquiry elements: social presence, cognitive presence, and teaching presence. Next steps discussed are further analyzing the survey data and administering a faculty survey.
