To Perpetual Peace
In To Perpetual Peace: A Philosophical Sketch, Immanuel Kant discusses his view on the desired
peace that is needed by the change on the current form of international politics. Kant s perspective is
that international politics is better off with change because people are by nature meant to change.
Without change in politics, peace can only be achieved by war between humans. In the Anarchical
Society by Hedley Bull, he claims that the current form of international politics need to remain the
way it is. Bull s idea states that international politics is needed because it protects the sovereignty of a
state. The main discussions that arise from Kant and Bull are the Balance of Power, the rights of
nations, international order based off life, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Private property has the idea of justice, sovereignty is similar in the fact that they have rights that
other states can t interfere in government or their way of life. We have the principal of territorial
states; we know what belongs to whom. This is the limitation of balance. Bull also believes that World
Order is how we conceive each other. International order assumes the existence of states. The Balance
of Power allows small states to limit big powers. Therefore, there is not a preponderance of power,
because every state still maintains their own laws and foreign policy. The problem of maintaining a
balance of power is not merely ensuring that a military balance exists, it is also a problem of ensuring
that there exists belief in it. (Bull 99) Similarly, the social element is expressed when we have wars to
enforce international law (especially to enforce third party rights), or to preserve the balance of power:
here again, the claim is that we have cases in which states act as agents for the order itself. Bull
believes that there are three functions of the Balance of Power:
The existence of a general balance of power throughout the international system as a whole has served
to prevent the system from being transformed by conquest into a universal empire.
The existence of local balances of power has served to protect the independence of states in particular
areas from absorption or domination by a local preponderant

Comparing North Korea And America
North Korea and America have many differences. In North Korea there is a shortage of food. The
government uses fear tactics against its own citizens. North Korea citizens are blocked off from the
outside world and know very little about it. The country has a large number of prison camps that hold
Koreans. In this essay, North Korea and America will be compared to each other.
North Korea has a major shortage of food. North Koreans are starved in some areas of the country.
Children go up to days even weeks with no food. Children are forced to eat scraps of food just to
survive. In America, the public is plentiful with food. Americans do not starve; they do not have a
shortage of food. Adolescents in America are provided with food, while children in North Korea are
forced to scavenge for food just to survive. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Those who defect, or try to escape North Korea, are either executed or made an example and then
punished. Those who are caught defecting are punished for their actions, as well as their entire family.
In America, the people are given rights. They are not tortured; they are not executed. America does not
use fear tactics unlike North Korea. America uses the laws that were placed years ago to keep order of
the country. North Koreans are hindered from learning about the outside world. They are kept from
learning about the outside world so they don t see what others have and say I want that . The
government does this to stop a rebellion from sparking and the people over throwing the government.
Americans are given rights and know what is happening in the world around them. Americans have
access to phones while North Korea did not have any phones whatsoever until almost five years

Who Is Stacy In Ribbons
Stacy is the main character in Ribbons . At one point, you probably could have related to this
character. In the story Ribbons everything that happens to Stacy, ties to ballet, her most favorite thing
to do. Stacy has a lot of strengths, but like everybody else she as some weaknesses or flaws in her life.
One of her strengths is that she is a good ballerina, who wants to learn more ballet. She knows she is
good at ballet because, Madame Oblomov put her in a higher division for her age at the academy. She
is also very committed to whatever she does. For example, she still practices ballet, even though she
had to quit because her parents had to save money for her Grandmother s flight to their home in San
Francisco. Her parents couldn t afford ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, she practiced how she was going to welcome her grandmother into their home in the
proper Chinese way. Another one is that she is forgiving when she comes to understand why her
grandmother was so sensitive about the ribbons and her reasons for taking them away from her. Along
with her good side, Stacey has some negative inputs in her life too. One of Stacy s weaknesses is that
she gets jealous easily when she doesn t get attention from her grandmother. For instance, she
complains that Ian gets all of grandmother s attention, since back in China boys are everything . Stacy
also gets jealous, when she realizes how much Ian and her grandmother have in common. Another
weakness Stacy has is that she is curious about everything. She is curious, when her grandmother
walked oddly with her feet, when her mother took the ribbons from her saying that it had to do
something with grandmother s past, and when she looked at grandmother s feet in the shower. Another
flaw, she is, that she is rude and argumentative, when yelling and talking back to her grandmother
about their reasons to like and dislike the ribbons in the

Endocrine System And Non-Steroid Hormones
Then Endocrine System
The endocrine system consists of a variety of glands and clusters of hormone secreting cells in various
organs throughout the body. These glands produce chemicals called hormones, which are secreted
directly into the bloodstream. They determine a number of things, including when you re hungry, your
weight, how you handle stress, and even how well you sleep. The body produces many different
hormones, which can either be classified as steroid or non steroid. Steroid hormones are synthesized
from cholesterol, including male and female sex hormones, as well as aldosterone. Non steroid
hormones, also known as protein based hormones, are synthesized from amino acids. Protein based
hormones are further divided into protein ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Sex hormones also influence the development of secondary sex characteristics during puberty. The
ovaries secrete estrogen and progesterone. Estrogen promotes the development of female
characteristics and contributes to the development of the reproductive system. Progesterone is secreted
after ovulation, and helps maintain uterine lining during pregnancy. The testes secrete testosterone,
which triggers the development of male sexual characteristics, and sustains sperm

The Fear Peter Godwin
The Fear by: Peter Godwin is a very captivating and educational, non fiction story that leads you on a
suspenseful, thrilling journey through a country of hurt, pain, and deceit. Peter Godwin and his sister,
Georgina Godwin are caucasian farmers in their hometown of Zimbabwe. Their prime minister,
Robert Mugabe discriminates against all white farmers in his country, as he is a black man. He shows
this hatred everyday through his brutal, violent stunts. When his people get tired of his antics, they try
to put him out to make their situation better, but they only make it worse. As the book begins,
everything is definitely not perfect, actually, it is the complete opposite. Mugabe didn t want to give
up his power and he was described as a racist pig who wanted to get rid of all white people in this
country by his people. Mugabe is upset over a lost election because his ... Show more content on

Gislebertus The Last Judgement Analysis
The Last Judgement was a sculpture founded in the Cathedral of St. Lazarus in Autun, France. The
sculpture was built around 1130 46, by Gislebertus who was a French sculptor. The material used in
this sculpture was stone. (Khan academy)
The tympanum shows Romanesque style and is divided into three horizontal sections. Starting from
the top section there are carved angels with trumpets. They all have halos and appear to be sitting on
thrones. In the middle section the figures seem to be taller than the rest. Some of the figures have
halos and some don t, and the rest were formed similar to a monster stature. On the right side of the
sculpture shows serpents wrapped around the demonish figures and have little children behind them.
The last section of the statue is full of figures, more so than the other sections. It is a long sequence of
people in no particular order; but starting from the left to right we can see the figures posture become
more deformed. Lastly, the central figure is four times bigger than the rest and looks like it can be
Christ himself sitting on a throne with angels encompassing him and upholding him in the air. The
sculpture as a whole shows simplism not humanism, because the figures are not human like. ... Show

Leadership Is Different From Management And Their Functions
Leadership is different from management and their functions are totally different based on their
fundamental philosophies, outcomes, and functions (Toor and Ofori, 2008, p.63). The conceptual
distinction of leadership according to Toor and Ofori (2008) is a process that composed of vision,
motivation, and actions of the leader that empower the followers to realize common goals (p.64). They
further stated that the purpose of leadership is to provide direction and bring about change (p.64). For
Zaleznik (2004), leadership uses power to influence the beliefs and actions of other people (Zaleznik,
2004). He further stated that Business has contributed its answer to the leadership question by
evolving new breed called managers (p.74).
According to OED, leadership is One who guides others in action or opinion; one who takes the lead
in any business, enterprise, or movement; one who is followed by disciples or adherents the chief of a
sect of party; also in wider sense, a person eminent position and influence... (as cited in Toor and
Ofori, 2008, p.63). Leader influences others by his or her ability, persuasiveness, and vision (Toor and
Ofori, 2008, p.63).
Daft (2003) claimed that the conceptual foundations of management emerged during the period of
relatively rapid economic development and industrialization of nineteenth and early twentieth century
(as cited in Toor and Ofori, 2008, p.64). He believed that the impact of these developments resulted in
the need for the

Science And Science In John Wesson s The Science Of Soccer
Science is everywhere. John Wesson has proved that to many through his famous book, The Science
of Soccer. This book links both soccer and science together. Throughout this story the simple idea of
soccer will turn into a more complex version of science. Wesson teaches the readers about how
something so simple, like a ball bouncing, can relate to the more in depth laws of physics. While
reading this book one can learn what soccer really is, how science is described, and how science and
soccer are related. A common question in many young minds is, What is soccer? . In the words of
Wesson, Soccer s superiority derives from two sources, variety and continuity. At each point in the
game the players are faced with a wide range of options take the ball past the opponent on this side or
that, to pass short or long, low or high, to shoot or to lay the ball off and to whom (Wesson 85). Soccer
is a physical and mental sport. It is played with your feet, however, it is the mind that does most of the
hard work. It is also a team sport. It consists of dribbling, passing, kicking, and much more.
Sometimes there will be a bounce that must be trapped, and others there will be moves needed to blow
by a defender. The game varies. For instance, the book also reads, The ball is kicked in a variety of
ways according to the circumstances. For a slow accurate pass the ball is pushed with the flat inside
face of the foot. For a hard shot the toes are dipped and the ball is struck

Officer Tabor Argumentative Essay
On 25 March 2017, at 0220 hours in the City of Goddard, Officer Tabor was traveling Westbound at
the 20000 block of West Kellogg in his patrol vehicle. As he approached 20300 West Kellogg, he
decided that he would check the business lot. While slowing his vehicle and maneuvering it into the
right hand turn lane, he visually saw a small sized SUV type vehicle facing South at the stop sign of
Main Street and West Kellogg. While executing his right hand turn, Officer Tabor s headlights shined
onto the driver s side and front interior of the vehicle stopped at the stop sign. This facilitated Officer
Tabor to visually see that the driver was not wearing their safety belt and was instead leaned over the
center console, presumebly looking at the cellular phone being held by the front seat passenger.
As Officer Tabor continued to the Northern most part of Main Street in the City of Goddard, he
noticed with the aid of his driver s side mirror that the same vehicle was still sitting at a complete stop
at the stop sign of Main Street and Kellogg. This seemed to be abnormal behavior for just after two in
the morning in Goddard, as the lack of traffic that time of day should not impede the entry of a vehicle

Comparison Of Feminism In The Arabian Nights
Dasha Kofman
Arabian Nights Paper
11/14/17
Abstract
In my paper I will discuss how Sharazade s role as a woman allows her to act as an advocate for
female empowerment, through literature and storytelling. Initially, I will focus on the feminist role of
Sharazade and how she is placed within her circumstances: 1001 nights of storytelling to the King to
spare her life and the masses of woman after her. I will then go on to examine how Sharazade
champions the case of feminine within her tales. She does so by intertwining female characters of
power and intelligence. I will then go on to examine how women are viewed within the story, from
slaves to warriors. Finally, I will take both Sharazades perception of feminism and how they are
viewed within the story to examine their value within the story s setting, and the greater world.
Sharazade reveals the harsh truth behind how women are portrayed in literature and the intensity in
which they are finalized. She is allowing us to understand that women can not be placed under an
umbrella term, but rather are distinct individuals who play in the structure of society both good and
bad. Although they are portrayed as such, women aren t just women but are first and foremost, people.
Shahrazad: Icon of Feminism
The Arabian Nights also known as One Thousand and One Nights is a tale about Shahryar whom the
reader refers to as the Sasanian king. Shahrazade, the heroine of The Arabian Nights, has been noted
as a women s activist figure in literature, a woman who utilizes her intelligence to spare not only her
own life, but the lives of women to come. In the frame story, King Shahriyar find out that his wife is
committing adultery. The king then begins to order for virgins to satisfy his sexual pleasures and kill
them before they commit the same atrocities. Every night for three years, he took a virgin to his bed
and then killed her in the morning. When the virgins run out, the daughter offers herself and the tales
of 1001 Nights begins; These tales often criticized by many people who argue that women are not
tools to satisfy a man s pleasures. Her plan is simple yet cunning she uses stories of thrill and marvel
to keep herself alive as long as it takes to save the

Art has been around ever since the ancient city of Pompeii. The people of Pompeii used graffiti as a
way to display their cleverness; from poetry contests to playful recombinations of the letters that form
Roman Numerals. In the early 70s, graffiti was used as a way for young teens to mark their territory.
During that time, many people especially in New York City saw graffiti as vandalism and prohibited
it. Even though graffiti has been misused in some occasions, as long as the purpose is not to
deliberately mischievous or malicious destruction, graffiti is art.
In an article called, Reading the Writing on Pompeii s Walls published by Smithsoniammag.com,
graffiti is shown to be an art form. The writer says, In a stairwell, ... Show more content on

It is more colorful, and vandalism is at an all time low. People are getting the time they deserve to
complete their art works. This example shows the power of graffiti. It can change a whole city, and
dissolve many of the current problems. The graffiti has given Bogota a fairly poor city new life and
colorful walls around the whole city. It has also given Bogota freedom to communicate, meaning that
the graffiti helps spread ideas and can help people through hard times.
However, even though graffiti is portrayed as art by many people, some people think that all kinds of
graffiti is vandalism. They think that it is a dirty way to destroy a city, and a bad influence to young
adults and children growing up. In the article Vandals hit 18 statues in Grant Park with graffiti by
Carlos Sadovi, public buildings had been covered and nearly destroyed with tags by young teenages.
When Sandovi says, People, especially children, like to go up to the statues and pose with them for
pictures and touch them. He said this is the first time they have been vandalized here. In this case, the
children of the city will have to suffer through. People can also argue that the graffiti is a bad
influence for the children. However, even though some young teenages decided to vandalize a
building, doesn t make graffiti vandalism. There are graffiti artists that even make their paints out of

Implementing A Collaborative Crm Software Application
Problem Statement
To achieve business agility in the area of marketing, SW4 s sales and marketing departments must
collaborate in order to anticipate challenges and opportunities before they occur (Heisterberg Verma,
2014). To achieve optimal collaborative marketing, SW4 must effectively implement a collaborative
CRM software application so that sales, marketing and other departments can easily share information
they collect from customers. So that all organizations involved in SW4 have access to one CRM
software, these systems must utilize cloud computing as well as be effective in three key marketing
management functions: Marketing Planning, Campaign Management, and Customer Analytics. By
doing this, SW4 will be able to improve cross marketing campaigns and sales promotions, discover
the optimal approach to delivering products and services to different customer segments while
creating a competitive advantage for Sonoma Worldwide Wine Week and increasing profitability for
each organization (Baltzan, 2013).
Challenges and Opportunities Along with the challenge of easily integrating a new collaborative,
cloud based CRM software comes the challenges of training all organizations employees on the new
system and working together to utilize the system to its fullest in order to achieve the desired results.
Findings suggest that organizational changes initiated by management create strategically constructed
silos that force implementation through people and systems

The Station Nightclub Fire Explosion
The Station nightclub fire occurred on February 20, 2003, in West Warwick, RI. The fourth deadliest
nightclub fire in U.S. history, a blaze at The Station nightclub in W. Warwick, RI, on February 20,
2003. The fire was caused by pyrotechnics set off by the tour manager of the evening s headlining
band Great White, which ignited flammable sound insulation polyurethane foam in the walls and
ceilings surrounding the stage. By this time, the nightclub s fire alarm had been activated, and
although there were four possible exits, most people headed for the front door through which they had
entered. The rapidly moving fire with intense black smoke engulfed the club in less than 6 minutes.
Video footage of the fire shows its ignition, rapid growth, the heavy smoke quickly made escape
impossible, and the exit blockage that further hindered evacuation. The ensuing stampede led to a
crush in the narrow hallway leading to that exit, quickly blocking the exit completely and resulting in
numerous deaths and injuries among the patrons and staff. The toxic smoke, heat and the stampede of
people toward the exits killed 100; 230 were injured and another 132 escaped uninjured. A total of 462
people were in the club, even though the club s official licensed capacity was 404 In the days after the
fire, there were considerable efforts to assign and avoid blame on the part of the band, the nightclub

There comes a time in each man s life in which he must decide who he is, who he is going to be and
how he is going to live his life. X: A Novel is about the teenage years of El Hajj Malik El Shabazz
Malcom X, who later went on to become a world renowned, and eventually martyred, human rights
activist. Malcom s daughter; Ilyasah Shabazz along with Kekla Magoon, the co author of this book,
tells her father s story in such a vivid way it feels as though it is possible to be right there with him.
This book shows Malcom struggling with discrimination, starting a new life, and losing himself in the
world of drugs and hustling.
From an awfully young age, Malcom struggled with racism and discrimination, starting out with his
family s house being burned to the ground by The Black Legion/ Ku Klux Klan. This happened
because Malcom s family lived on land that was reserved for white people, even though it was built by
his father s own hands (Shabazz Magoon, 2016, authors note). As he was growing up, there were

out in Boston living with his half sister Ella; it was a respectable life, but he wanted something more
than the fake way of life that he saw everyone around him living. So, Malcom began to explore and
discover new things, as he did this he came across the little neighborhood of Roxbury and became a
part of what was a whole new type of community for him. In Roxbury everyone was genuine and
seemed to be truly living real lives. As Malcom started hanging out there he was able to put the past
behind him and in a way, start fresh. This independence was helpful to him for a little while, but it did
not take incredibly long for it all to turn

MMWR Paper on Hepatitis B
Microbiology 212 A
April 27, 2012
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) is a DNA virus that affects the liver and belongs to the Hepadnaviridae group
(Takkenberg, Weegink, Zaaijer, amp; Reesink, 2010). According to an article in Vox Sanguines, an
international journal of transfusion medicine, (Takkenberg, Weegink, Zaaijer, amp; Reesink, 2010)
about 400 million people worldwide are chronically infected with HBV, and 2 billion people have
serological evidence of past or present HBV infection . HBV, formerly known as serum hepatitis
(Huether amp; McCance, 2008), has eight genotypes (A H) with genotype D being associated with
viral or acute hepatitis B and prevalent mainly in Europe, North Africa, and the United States ... Show

Looking at the data provided by CDC (Department of Health and Human Services, 2011) during 2010
2011 there is an average incidence of HBV of 8 (per 10 million people) in 2010 and 6 (per 10 million
people) in 2011 (appendix C). This decrease of 2 (per 10 million people) from 2010 2011 may just be
a coincidence and further analysis of data over a larger period of time would be needed. The decrease
of 2 persons may not seem like a lot; however with continued education, vaccination, and awareness
of prevention, this could indeed signify a downward trend of acute HBV. The trend of occurrence over
the course of each year, 2010 and 2011, shows a steady increase without any major spike or deviations
(appendix A amp; B). With the transmission of HBV being mainly from drug use and exchange of
fluids between infected individuals (sexually), there is no factor that should cause a spike. Continuing
preventative measures will promote lowering the incidence of occurrence, however until a cure is
found HBV will still register a minimal number of cases a year.

Father Paneloux Religion
In his novel The Plague, Albert Camus conveys through Father Paneloux s character that an idealistic,
man made paradise does not prevent groundless contexts from unfolding; thus, religion ineffectively
evades the Absurd, but bolsters the illogical thinking that it is escapable. Father Paneloux reinforces
the theory that God bestowed the plague on the citizens of Oran as a punishment for their sins; he
expands that this penalty forces the citizens to confront the ultimate test: whether to accept God or not.
In order to rationalize the case of an innocent child s death, Father Paneloux explains to the
congregation that God s plan includes suffering; therefore, if it was God s will, [they], too should will
it (225). He deducts that in trusting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His own justification cannot even convince him completely, and he begins to doubt if a god truly
exists because he simply cannot understand. Nevertheless, he retreats to religion and acts upon his
faith in order to combat the Absurd. Father Paneloux remains true to his faith; however, he ultimately
succumbs to death, which raises questions about religion s success in withstanding the Absurd.
Because priests dedicate their whole entity to God, Father Paneloux refuses to develop close
relationships or seek for medical assistance because it was against his principles (234). He embraces
his death if it supports God s divine plan, and as a result, his condition worsens. However, his
doctrines do not cure him of his anonymous disease, and his rejection for aid only contributes to the
Absurd. Father Paneloux s death validates Camus message that religion acts like a fruitless safe haven
from the incongruous situations that the citizens in Oran do not wish to confront. Symbolized by the
roar of the wind (229), the plague even roams in the Cathedral square (229); this significantly reveals
that the Absurd conquers and defeats

Primates Do Not Live In Cages
The movie, Unlocking the Cage by director Chris Hegedus and D. A. Pennebaker, follows the
challenges that Steven Wise, a lawyer fighting for the rights of primates, and the Nonhuman Rights
Project, a group fighting for the rights of animals, against the law. They find a bunch of primates who
are locked up around the United States of America and sue for their legal freedom, by going from a
thing to a legal person with legal protections. The furthest he has ever got to was with Hercules and
Leo. In all cases, however, they lost because the judges could not see them as a legal person holding

However, sanctuaries exist, such as the one in Florida, where primates from around the country goes

Wise and the Nonhuman Rights Project wants to move primates into the sanctuaries so that they do
not have to live in cages. Their claim is that primates are considered a legal person and are entitled to
basic rights, such as those given to children. He states many reasons as to why they are considered a
legal person and not a thing with no rights. One reason that he states is that primates are able to
understand humans and can communicate with them. They have the capacity to understand humans
along with communicating with them. The strength of this reason is that it shows that primates can
communicate with humans and can learn from them since they can understand humans. The weakness
of this reason is that any animal can understand humans and some animals can speak languages, closer
than what primates can do. There were three monkeys in the movie to show that primates have the

Essay on Appearance Vs. Reality
One of the characteristics of Realism, in American literature at least, is the ironic use of perceptions of
appearance vs. reality. With this in mind, Henry James s The Real Thing and The Beast in the Jungle
are two works wherein such characteristics can be shown to operate as James employs cleverly woven
twists of appearance and reality in each of the plots.
In James s The Real Thing, the plot is centered on an unnamed artist and his interactions with two sets
of models: the Monarchs (members of genteel society), and Miss Churm and Oronte (members of the
working class). The ironically named Monarchs are a couple who appear as though they have ten

Monarch.
Miss Churm (a phonetically guttural name that is perhaps a word play on charm by the author) is a
working class native of London and Oronte is an out of work penny ice vendor. James s introduction
of Miss Churm and Oronte to the reader is performed with divergent characterizations of appearance
and reality between the two sets of models. While the Monarchs are introduced to the readers in a
sterile appearance of spotless perfection, and gentility, Miss Churm (a freckled cockney who couldn t
spell and loved beer ) unceremoniously intrudes into the studio. And Oronte s introduction leads the
artist to conclude that the fellow s a bankrupt orange monger ... a telling comparison from the artist s
first impression of the Monarchs, when he believed them to be sitters. But the success of Miss Churm
and Oronte as models of nobility, compared to the analogous failure of the Monarchs, attributes to the
most ironic point of departure in James s characterizations.
The artist s ability to transform Miss Churm into everything from a fine lady to a shepherdess, and the
Italian Oronte into an Englishman compared with his inability to perform the same transformation
with the Monarchs serves as a

Spirit Of Offense
Do you walk in the spirit of offense?
The truth is, all of us at one time or another, have either been offended or offended someone.
And the good news is, we all have the opportunity to SHIELD UP!
How Do I know if I have the spirit of offense?
Before we get into what it means to Shield Up, let s first identify if we have the spirit of offense.
Even though we are told in James 1:19 to be slow to take offense, we have seen relationships
destroyed and people leave their church family over the spirit of offense. (Block Quote)
Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to
speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. ~ James 1:19 (AMPC)
So how can we tell if we walk in the spirit of offense? ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Submission is meant for every believer. As God expects us to submit to Him, to each other, to our
spouses, employers, and our government!
Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always
ready to do what is good. ~ Titus 3:1(NLT)
The slippery slope here is that without submission, we can almost guarantee that we will walk in the
spirit of offense.
That s because to be discipled is to be mentored. To be mentored is to be held accountable.
However, you cannot be discipled without being teachable. You cannot be mentored without yielding
to submission. And you cannot receive accountability without humility.
In other words, when you walk in humility you will avoid walking in the spirit of offense!

three humans since it was detected in 1996. All three cases were in the state of Queensland after they

affect the rabies free status and there have been no known cases of the rabies virus occurring in
terrestrial mammals (NSW Government Health, 2016). There are seven genotypes of Lyssaviruses,
belonging to the family Rhabdoviridae, known to exist worldwide; however, through experimental
inoculation, dogs and cats have shown a relative insusceptibility to bat derived Lyssavirus as opposed
to inoculation with terrestrial rabies virus strains. This suggests differences in mammalian infections

Sherman produced 69 images in the series, from 1977 to 1980. Though all of the images are of
Sherman, they are not self portraits. Sherman posed for these photos as a sort of an actress or heroine.
Portraying various clichés about women in post war America. In #21 you can see that she is dressed

much absent in the photograph, such as the rest of her body or her surrounding environment. The
background only reveals that she is in a large city. This ambiguity creates a universal theme, that this

The city s recent increases in murder, rape, and burglary rates convince many citizens of colorado

Having to live up to some unrealistic expectation and body alteration that where placed on them that
they didn t even want. Media, status and control effect women into being submissive, have no voice or

Cinema allows you to learn about other cultures and religions than your own. Cinema can also open
people s eyes to what is really going on in the world. For example in this Arab world, many women
are subservient to men. The reason being is that this is just the cultural norm. In the film, Razieh fears
disobeyed her husband. However she takes a job without his knowledge. She must do so in order to
provide for her family. In this way, Razieh is going against cultural norms. In most societies, including
those of the Middle East, the man is always the provider. It is seen as disrespectful for a man to have
to rely on a woman to provide. A man s word is also law. Going against it can be dangerous. The
movie Wadjda, played with these themes. In the film, Wadjda is an Arab girl who is rebelling against
the cultural norms. She wants to be able to ride a bike, wear sneakers, and do everything else her male
counterparts get to do. She is punished and looked down upon for this behavior. For Razieh, it is not
so easy to break from her religious and cultural norms. However in the end of the film, when faced
with a dilemma, she follows her heart instead of her husband, and makes a decision that is morally
right to her. Showing women like this can have a powerful impact. Whether it be the strength Razieh
has to provide for her family, or the courage Wadjda has to want to be different, these women are

Daniel L. Everett s ethnography, Don t Sleep, There Are Snakes Life and Language in the Amazonian
Jungle, writes about experiences and life he faced during the time living among the Piraha. Everett, is
a linguist who s whole mission during his stay with the Piraha s was to not only learn their language,
but to convert them to Christianity. This however never happened, Everett actually ends up giving up
his faith for the name of science and language. His novel is a page turner, it make the reader to want to
keep reading it until the very end. The way Everett writes just draws people in, the way he chooses his
words and the structure of the sentences makes one feels like that they are with him.
Over the span of three decades, Everett and his family live with the Piraha for a total of seven years
learning their culture and language. What he found their really changed the idea of how we perceive
languages and the different theories behind them. The Pirahas, do not have a counting systems, or clan
system, nor a fixed terms of color or ritual, along with one of the smallest set phonemes in the world,
along with hum and whisper speech. They have no concepts of future or past ideologies, totally living
in the present and are relatively very happy people. One unfavorable aspect about this novel is that it
lacked the life of the women and children within the villages. Everett only really interacted with the
males of this society, whether there was any cultural boundaries that restricted him from interacting
with the woman is unknown, but it was something that caught my attention while reading.
The novel is spelt up into three parts: Life, Language, and Conclusion. Each one dedicated to a certain
part of the Pirahas culture. Part One: Life was very detailed on what events went on in the daily lives.
These people get very little sleep and Everett mentioned that it is very rare to have the village totally
quiet at night, one is always talking not caring if people next to them are sleeping. They start their day
very early, men would leave and go out hunting, while the women search of wild fruits and
vegetables. The Piraha people would only catch and gather what they needed for the day. It was also
interesting to read that

Using The Root Cause Analysis And `` 5 Whys ``
I am uncomfortable putting work conflicts on the internet, and even more uncomfortable exposing
personal relationship conflicts that should inherently be private. I also do not watch the news, because
I do not trust it as a source of information. Thus, for the purposes of this essay, I shall describe the
most recent inner conflict of note that I have experienced instead, and analyse it using the Root Cause
Analysis and 5 Whys strategies that were discussed in this week s reading.
While it is not a particularly recent source of conflict it happened about three or four years ago it
resulted in some life changing events. I shall briefly describe the timeline: in January 2012, I move to
New Zealand to study for a diploma in 3D Animation and VFX. By November 2012, I had decided
that I no longer wanted to be studying towards a qualification in the VFX industry, and decided to
enrol in one of the universities in Auckland for a degree in Hospitality instead. By March 2013, I had
turned right around, and enrolled in a different school for a degree in none other than 3D Animation
and VFX.
Using these two strategies, I shall explore the reasons for these changes I made what made me deflect
from my original course, and then later why I came back to it. Many of these observations are made in
hindsight, so may sound more logical and rational than I truly was at the time.
First, I shall consider why I left my first course of study using the Root Cause Analysis strategy:

Fuel Cell Disadvantages
Hydrogen fuel cells are an emerging technology that could be the next mass produced energy source
of the future. The application of hydrogen as a fuel source can be used to power cars, homes, and even
cell phones. Hydrogen is the most abundant molecule in the universe. The most profound use for
hydrogen fuel cells will be for vehicles. Hydrogen fuel cells will revolutionize the automobile
industry. Hydrogen fuel has been used by NASA since the early 1970s to launch space stations and
other rockets into orbit (Renewable Energy World). A fuel cell combines hydrogen and oxygen to
produce electricity, heat, and water. Fuel cells are often compared to batteries. Both convert the energy
produced by a chemical reaction into usable electric power. However, the fuel cell will produce
electricity as long as fuel (hydrogen) is supplied, never losing its charge (Renewable Energy World).
There has been a big push in recent years for automobile companies to produce lower emission
producing vehicles. Hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles can help to solve the issue. Hydrogen is
clean burning, producing only water vaper as waste. Hydrogen Fuel cell vehicles will be zero
emission, reducing air pollution (Bernard Meyerson). Fuel cell offer all the same benefits as
conventional fuel powered cars with cruising range up to 500 miles. To refill a take with hydrogen will
take about three minutes, about the same amount of time as traditional fuel fill ups. Down side is the

Kant s perspective is that international politics is better off with change because people are by nature meant to change. Without change in politics, peace can only be achieved by war between humans. In the Anarchical Society by Hedley Bull, he claims that the current form of international politics need to remain the way it is. The existence of local balances of power has served to protect the independence of states in particular areas from absorption or domination by a local preponderant ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The sculpture was built around 1130 46, by Gislebertus who was a French sculptor. The material used in this sculpture was stone. (Khan academy) The tympanum shows Romanesque style and is divided into three horizontal sections. Starting from the top section there are carved angels with trumpets. They all have halos and appear to be sitting on thrones. In the middle section the figures seem to be taller than the rest. Some of the figures have halos and some don t, and the rest were formed similar to a monster stature. On the right side of the sculpture shows serpents wrapped around the demonish figures and have little children behind them. The last section of the statue is full of figures, more so than the other sections. It is a long sequence of people in no particular order; but starting from the left to right we can see the figures posture become more deformed. This book links both soccer and science together. Throughout this story the simple idea of soccer will turn into a more complex version of science. Wesson teaches the readers about how something so simple, like a ball bouncing, can relate to the more in depth laws of physics. While reading this book one can learn what soccer really is, how science is described, and how science and soccer are related. A common question in many young minds is, What is soccer? . In the words of Wesson, Soccer s superiority derives from two sources, variety and continuity. At each point in the game the players are faced with a wide range of options take the ball past the opponent on this side or that, to pass short or long, low or high, to shoot or to lay the ball off and to whom (Wesson 85). Soccer is a physical and mental sport. It is played with your feet, however, it is the mind that does most of the hard work. It is also a team sport. It consists of dribbling, passing, kicking, and much more. Sometimes there will be a bounce that must be trapped, and others there will be moves needed to blow by a defender. The game varies. • 13. Comparison Of Feminism In The Arabian Nights Dasha Kofman Arabian Nights Paper 11/14/17 Abstract In my paper I will discuss how Sharazade s role as a woman allows her to act as an advocate for female empowerment, through literature and storytelling. Initially, I will focus on the feminist role of Sharazade and how she is placed within her circumstances: 1001 nights of storytelling to the King to spare her life and the masses of woman after her. I will then go on to examine how Sharazade champions the case of feminine within her tales. She does so by intertwining female characters of power and intelligence. I will then go on to examine how women are viewed within the story, from slaves to warriors. Finally, I will take both Sharazades perception of feminism and how they are viewed within the story to examine their value within the story s setting, and the greater world. Sharazade reveals the harsh truth behind how women are portrayed in literature and the intensity in which they are finalized. She is allowing us to understand that women can not be placed under an umbrella term, but rather are distinct individuals who play in the structure of society both good and bad. Although they are portrayed as such, women aren t just women but are first and foremost, people. Shahrazad: Icon of Feminism The Arabian Nights also known as One Thousand and One Nights is a tale about Shahryar whom the reader refers to as the Sasanian king. Shahrazade, the heroine of The Arabian Nights, has been noted as a women s activist figure in literature, a woman who utilizes her intelligence to spare not only her own life, but the lives of women to come. In the frame story, King Shahriyar find out that his wife is committing adultery. The king then begins to order for virgins to satisfy his sexual pleasures and kill them before they commit the same atrocities. Every night for three years, he took a virgin to his bed and then killed her in the morning. When the virgins run out, the daughter offers herself and the tales of 1001 Nights begins; These tales often criticized by many people who argue that women are not tools to satisfy a man s pleasures. This decrease of 2 (per 10 million people) from 2010 2011 may just be a coincidence and further analysis of data over a larger period of time would be needed. The decrease of 2 persons may not seem like a lot; however with continued education, vaccination, and awareness of prevention, this could indeed signify a downward trend of acute HBV. The trend of occurrence over the course of each year, 2010 and 2011, shows a steady increase without any major spike or deviations (appendix A amp; B). Merck realized that drug companies had to view themselves as health care solution providers rather than as suppliers of medicines. Merck also realized that drugs were becoming commodities due to generics and HMOs. Essay On Lyssavirus Syndrome recognition and notification Rabies virus, the type species of the genus Lyssavirus of the family Rhabdoviridae, order Mononegavirales, is the causative agent of rabies (Detrick, et al., 2006). This bullet shaped, enveloped RNA virus is one of the most formidable, zoonotic, neurologic diseases due to the prognosis almost invariably fatal in both humans and animals. Rabies is a genotype 1 Lyssavirus and can be found throughout the world, with the exception of Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland, the United Kingdom, Japan, the majority of Western Europe, Fiji, Hawaii and Guam (Sykes, 2014). Australian bat Lyssavirus is very similar to that of rabies and has been responsible for the death of three humans since it was detected in 1996. All three cases were in the state of Queensland after they were reportedly bitten or scratched by bats infected with ABLV. The existence of ABLV does not affect the rabies free status and there have been no known cases of the rabies virus occurring in terrestrial mammals (NSW Government Health, 2016). There are seven genotypes of Lyssaviruses, belonging to the family Rhabdoviridae, known to exist worldwide; however, through experimental inoculation, dogs and cats have shown a relative insusceptibility to bat derived Lyssavirus as opposed to inoculation with terrestrial rabies virus strains. This suggests differences in mammalian infections with bat derived Lyssavirus to that of terrestrial strains (Greene, 2012). Though all of the images are of Sherman, they are not self portraits. Sherman posed for these photos as a sort of an actress or heroine. Portraying various clichés about women in post war America. In #21 you can see that she is dressed up in a feminine business like dress as if she were going to or from an audition or interview. There is much absent in the photograph, such as the rest of her body or her surrounding environment. The background only reveals that she is in a large city. This ambiguity creates a universal theme, that this could be any woman in any city at any given time. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Colorado springs at an elevation of 6,035ft, is a city in Colorado at the eastern foot of the Rocky Mountains. Colorado Springs is the second most populous city in Colorado after Denver. As the population increases it becomes necessary to strengthen and increase the Colorado Springs Police Department. Increasing the number of patrolmen and adding more unmarked patrol cars would make our already strong police department even stronger. Everett s ethnography, Don t Sleep, There Are Snakes Life and Language in the Amazonian Jungle, writes about experiences and life he faced during the time living among the Piraha. Everett, is a linguist who s whole mission during his stay with the Piraha s was to not only learn their language, but to convert them to Christianity. This however never happened, Everett actually ends up giving up his faith for the name of science and language. His novel is a page turner, it make the reader to want to keep reading it until the very end. The way Everett writes just draws people in, the way he chooses his words and the structure of the sentences makes one feels like that they are with him. Over the span of three decades, Everett and his family live with the Piraha for a total of seven years learning their culture and language. What he found their really changed the idea of how we perceive languages and the different theories behind them. The Pirahas, do not have a counting systems, or clan system, nor a fixed terms of color or ritual, along with one of the smallest set phonemes in the world, along with hum and whisper speech. They have no concepts of future or past ideologies, totally living in the present and are relatively very happy people. One unfavorable aspect about this novel is that it lacked the life of the women and children within the villages. Everett only really interacted with the males of this society, whether there was any cultural boundaries that restricted him from interacting with the woman is unknown, but it was something that caught my attention while reading. The novel is spelt up into three parts: Life, Language, and Conclusion. Each one dedicated to a certain part of the Pirahas culture. Part One: Life was very detailed on what events went on in the daily lives. These people get very little sleep and Everett mentioned that it is very rare to have the village totally quiet at night, one is always talking not caring if people next to them are sleeping. They start their day very early, men would leave and go out hunting, while the women search of wild fruits and vegetables. The Piraha people would only catch and gather what they needed for the day. Using The Root Cause Analysis And `` 5 Whys `` I am uncomfortable putting work conflicts on the internet, and even more uncomfortable exposing personal relationship conflicts that should inherently be private. I also do not watch the news, because I do not trust it as a source of information. Thus, for the purposes of this essay, I shall describe the most recent inner conflict of note that I have experienced instead, and analyse it using the Root Cause Analysis and 5 Whys strategies that were discussed in this week s reading. While it is not a particularly recent source of conflict it happened about three or four years ago it resulted in some life changing events. I shall briefly describe the timeline: in January 2012, I move to New Zealand to study for a diploma in 3D Animation and VFX. By November 2012, I had decided that I no longer wanted to be studying towards a qualification in the VFX industry, and decided to enrol in one of the universities in Auckland for a degree in Hospitality instead. By March 2013, I had turned right around, and enrolled in a different school for a degree in none other than 3D Animation and VFX. Using these two strategies, I shall explore the reasons for these changes I made what made me deflect from my original course, and then later why I came back to it. Many of these observations are made in hindsight, so may sound more logical and rational than I truly was at the time. First, I shall consider why I left my first course of study using the Root Cause Analysis strategy: Step ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Fuel Cell Disadvantages Hydrogen fuel cells are an emerging technology that could be the next mass produced energy source of the future. The application of hydrogen as a fuel source can be used to power cars, homes, and even cell phones. Hydrogen is the most abundant molecule in the universe. The most profound use for hydrogen fuel cells will be for vehicles. Hydrogen fuel cells will revolutionize the automobile industry. Hydrogen fuel has been used by NASA since the early 1970s to launch space stations and other rockets into orbit (Renewable Energy World). A fuel cell combines hydrogen and oxygen to produce electricity, heat, and water. Fuel cells are often compared to batteries. Both convert the energy produced by a chemical reaction into usable electric power. However, the fuel cell will produce electricity as long as fuel (hydrogen) is supplied, never losing its charge (Renewable Energy World). There has been a big push in recent years for automobile companies to produce lower emission producing vehicles. Hydrogen fuel cell powered vehicles can help to solve the issue. Hydrogen is clean burning, producing only water vaper as waste. Hydrogen Fuel cell vehicles will be zero emission, reducing air pollution (Bernard Meyerson). Fuel cell offer all the same benefits as conventional fuel powered cars with cruising range up to 500 miles. To refill a take with hydrogen will take about three minutes, about the same amount of time as traditional fuel fill ups. Down side is the first production of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
