Software cost estimation is an important task in the software design and development process.
Planning and budgeting tasks are carried out with reference to the software cost values. A variety of
software properties are used in the cost estimation process. Hardware, products, technology and
methodology factors are used in the cost estimation process. The software cost estimation quality is
measured with reference to the accuracy levels.
Software cost estimation is carried out using three types of techniques. They are regression based
model, anology based model and machine learning model. Each model has a set of technique for the
software cost estimation process. 11 cost estimation techniques fewer than 3 different categories are
used in the system. The Attribute Relational File Format (ARFF) is used maintain the software product
property values. The ARFF file is used as the main input for the system.
The proposed system is designed to perform the clustering and ranking of software cost
estimation methods. Non overlapped clustering technique is enhanced with optimal centroid estimation
mechanism. The system improves the clustering and ranking process accuracy. The system produces
efficient ranking results on software cost estimation methods.

Therefore any improvement of labour productivity provides high productivity and improvement in the whole performance such as cost, quality and time in construction industry. From this study the critical factors that affecting labour productivity in construction industry can be identified and from those again identify the factors which affecting a greater extent and assess its impact in productivity. The advantages of maximization of labour productivity in construction includes increase rate of output, reduction of overall cost, maintaining the planned rate of production, maintain high quality standard etc. This study is conducted; therefore to identify the factors affecting labour productivity which is confined to construction projects undertaken by Chennai based construction companies and the rank the relative importance of factors that affect labour productivity in construction site. A various interviews response by direct interview and journal study were done to identify the common factors affecting labour productivity at construction site and these were used to prepare the questionnaire. In questionnaire, factors are classified in six main categories. The data are collected from residential and commercial constructions projects in Chennai only. The collected data are analyzed using statistical analysis of SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science). Based on finding and also on suggestions given by experts, this paper recommends that supervisors should be experienced, labours should be trained, financial incentives (bonus, award etc) should be given, communication should be improved, wastage should be minimized, clarity of technical information should be given to the workers and weekly progress report should be maintained.

ABSTRACT SUHARSA, DEVIE MARLINDA, Trisakti University, August 2011 “The Effect of Performance Measurement Method against the Effectively and Efficiently Project Performance.” Major Advisor : Prof. Dr. Syamsir Abduh The background of this research was the unpredictable risk in oil and gas industry. The risked itself always increase accordance to the change of technology. Due to that, oil and gas industry need a performance measurement method to assess the performance so it could create the effectively and efficient performance. In this research the measurement did in project performance. The objectives of this research is to determine whether the project performance is effective and efficient using these performance measurement methods like European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Model (EFQM), Balanced Scorecard and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). This research also tries to find out the factors that obstructed the project performance and finds solution to handle such factors. The design of this research applies descriptive research in which the researcher tries to test the performance measurement method at Oil and Gas Company in Indonesia. This is also a correlational research because it tries to test the relationship of performance measurement methods against the effectively and efficiently project performance. Data analysis used in this research was statistical test using double regression which is the most common test for predict the effect between dependent variable and independent variables. To process the effect between performance measurement methods and project performance, researcher use statistical software SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) ver. 17. The result of this research indicated that the European Foundation for Quality Management Excellence Method (EFQM) show the effectively and efficiently effect against project performance in the company.
