1.1Introduction
This master thesis addresses the data mining area known as closed itemset mining. The work
programme includes analysis a number of well known algorithms from the literature, and then
modifying these algorithms in order to optimize their performance by reduce the number of
frequent pattern.
Data mining is the procedure of getting new patterns from large amount of data. Data mining is a
procedure of finding of beneficial information and patterns from huge data. It is also called as
knowledge discovery method, knowledge mining from data, knowledge extraction or data/ pattern
analysis. The main goal from data mining is to get patterns that were already unknown. The useful
of these patterns are found they can be used to make certain decisions for development of their
businesses. Data mining aims to discover implicit, already unknown, and potentially useful
information that is embedded in data.
Frequent itemsets play an main role in a lot of data mining tasks that try to get interesting patterns
in databases, such as association rules, clusters, sequences correlations, episodes and classier.

I chose to analyze the fairytale of The Country Mouse And The Town House. The character
archetypes in the short footage was a country mouse that lived an average lifestyle whereas on the
other hand the town mouse had a fancy outfit that resembles well off. Both town and country mouse
are the main characters. The country mouse archetype is a less fortunate character. On the other
hand, the town mouse is more wealthy then the country mouse. The country mouse showed the
other mouse around the countryside and try all the food that was offered. The town mouse was
thrilled to see farms whereas he never seen anything like this back in the town. The town mouse
didn t like the food that the country mouse offered so he insisted him to visit the town

Regulating The Body As A Social Institution
Social Institutions, policies and practices regulate the body through normative gender and sexual
scripts. An institution is the process of a social organized behavior around a particular purpose. In
other words it is a group that has a common goal in mind. A social institution is a major way that
human beings organize their life. As stated in Chapter three Learning Gender(141 142) one way of
choosing people for different tasks for a job or society are basis of their talents, motivations, and
there competence. Another way a social institution plays a role in regulating the body through
sexual scripts in the realm of doctors. They as unit figure out what sexual performances and actions
are considered harmless and or unsafe in society. We

The Act aimed to prohibit the entry of children into hazardous occupations and to regulate the
services of children in non hazardous occupations. Various measures have being taken by the
government to reduce child labor by introducing special school with free education and nourishment
by providing food. This introduction has led to reduction of child labor practices in most parts of
the country. From the point of global ethic many of these ethics collide with government priority in
attracting and retaining MNEs. One biggest fear that government has with taking action against the
unfair practices is loss of investment from the MNE which would eventually lead to economic
downturn for the country. Most MNE who have offshore there company operation of the supply
chain and production of their products to sub contractors in developing countries like India,
Honduras, El Salvador etc. many multinational have been accused for condoning to practices like
minimum pay with lengthy hours, child labor and unsafe work environment which are against the
law in their home countries. In the 1990 there was huge public uproar which resulted in action by
NGO, government and UN bodies. Many western consumers boycotted the product produced by
these MNE. With MNE brand reputation and corporate image at stake they put in place their own

David Hume Argument For Motivation
Many philosophical pieces and writers have attempted, throughout history, to explain motivation
and the factors which lead to motivation. A main topic among discussions of motivation is the
separation between sole belief, and action upon that belief and what stimulates actions based on
such beliefs. David Hume, a philosopher from The Age of Enlightenment, proposed his
understanding and argument for motivation, which has been coined as: The Humean Theory of
Motivation. According to The Humean Theory of Motivation, reasons are a necessary motivating
factors of acting on a belief. He believes that motivation is not a sole matter of moral judgments, but
that beliefs only influence behaviorand action in combination with emotional states. These... Show

Despite its strong explanation and relevance, there are criticisms towards this theory regarding
motivating factors and reasoning. Specifically, some argue that The Humean Theory of Motivation
is the idea that The Humean Theory of Motivation is objectively not normative(Hubin, 1999), or
not directly stating what ought, or what ought not be. Another, more complex, argument against
The Humean Theory of Motivation is written in G.F. Scheuler s The Humean Theory of
Motivation Rejected, He explains that, while desires are surely present in reasoning, desires are
not solely applicable, and do not have a sole force on motivation. He states that reasoning is done
with representations of things, not the things themselves, even when the things being represented
are one s own desires(Schueler, 2009). In other words, Scheuler believes that if an individual is is
reasoning how to satisfy her desires in accordance to desire belief based reasoning, that the reason
is causing the motivation, rather than the desire itself. He is stating that when one reasons with
desire they are representing the desires rather than only being focused on the desire itself(Schueler,

Along with the plant stem cells, you will also find double the concentration than was used in the
clinical study of Eyeseryl and algae extract. Algae extract has the ability to safely balance out the
vital minerals your skin needs to stay healthy and supple and it acts as a powerful anti
inflammatory, which helps reduce the puffy appearance around the eyes. Next on the list, you
would find green tea extract and while green tea has long been renowned for its overall health
benefits when drunk as a tea, it also has amazing benefits for the skin when applied topically.
Marine based hydrolyzed collagen boosts your skin s collagen production, resulting in firmer
and younger looking skin that is softer and more supple to the touch. Rounding out the
ingredients is goji berry extract. Goji berries have long been touted as a superfood for your
health, but like green tea extract, it also has highly restorative properties for your skin. It is a
strong defense against free radicals and other toxins that the skin absorbs, these toxins are one of
the primary causes of your skin aging so

Eshkevari et al. investigate the effects of electroacupunture (EA) treatment at stomach meridian
point 36 (St36) in rats exposed to stress. Researchers randomly assigned rats to one of four
groups: the control group that received no treatment; a stress only group exposed to a deep ice
/water mixture; the sham EA group exposed to cold stress followed by EA at a random site; and
the EA St36 group exposed to cold stress followed by EA at St36. After fourteen days, rats exposed
to chronic stress and EA St36 and the non stressed control rats demonstrated similar
adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) levels; corticosterone (CORT) levels between EA St36 and
non stressed control rats also presented no significant differences. The authors hypothesized... Show

The authors effectively establish baseline hormone levels by ensuring the stress hormones
measured during experiments are not solely due to the procedural stress of acupuncture needles.
Acclamation ensures that the needles and procedure are no longer novel to the rats and the stress
related hormones primarily reflect exposure to the ice/water treatment.
Although Eshkevari et al. engage in clinically worthy research aided by a beneficial acclamation
protocol, major concerns arise regarding the generalizability of the results due to the utilization of
only male rats. The work of Vieira et al. (1) suggests that sexual dimorphism impacts the stress
response and demonstrates that female rats experience enhanced vulnerability to stress evoked
HPA axis changes. Even if the results of the Eshkevari et al. study propose EA at St36 as a
therapeutic option in male rats, sexual dimorphism may negate any therapeutic effects in female
rats and necessitates future research to determine if EA presents therapeutic benefits in both sexes.
Further concerns arise from the authors conclusion that EA benefits are specific to St36
stimulation. Eshkevari et al. cite elevated ACTH and CORT levels in sham EA rats as evidence
that the suppression of the stress hormones is specific to EA at St36. The results section, however,

What Is The Difference Between Realism And Realism
Realism Realism in international relations theory is one of the dominant schools of thought in
international relations. Realism or political realism prioritizes national interests and security
concerns in addition to moral ideology and social reconstruction. The term is often associated with
political power. The term is often associated with political power.
Realism believes that the state is the main actor of the most important in determining the direction
of a country. This means there is no term mentioned as an International Organization but merely the
State. Realism also believes the State is deciding on the future of the people. In connection with it,
the state is certainly confident that whatever actions are correct and appropriate ... Show more

Constructivism Realism agree with the theory that says the world is in anarchy (chaos).
Constructivism also said that international relations can be established through conflict and
cooperation. So here assessed the importance of existing institutions namely through regulative and
constitutive. Each country needs to comply with the decree. If away, then there are various forms
of action to be taken such as military, economic supply restrictions and others. So countries need to
assess national interests whether to cooperate or not.
Constructivism also emphasizes the influence of culture in international relations. This is because
the relationship is true not only taking into account the political and ideological aspects alone, but
also the cultural aspects. For example if there are cultural similarities between actors will be more
likely to facilitate collaboration and no conflicts will occur. This can be seen through the
relationship between Malaysia and Indonesia that have similar culture, namely cultural and
religious expression of Islam. So any misunderstandings easily solved without involving big

The Problem Of The Homelessness
Every time I go to Bathurst Street in order to see my orthodontist, I always encounter those who
are on the street and less fortunate then I am. There is an estimated 5200 homeless living in the
city. This amount doesn t even take into account the hidden homeless that need long term housing.
Homelessness in the city of Toronto costs the provincial government approximately 30 billion
dollars a year. I have at times wondered why haven t we as a society taken the steps to end
homelessnessin Toronto? I mean it s a very simple question that can be answered with economic
reasoning. To put it simply: it is unrealistic to end homelessness in Toronto. To help me reach this
conclusion I went on a couple of websites to do some research, as well as used some of the core
economic principles to reach my conclusion.
Several studies have found that it costs three to four times more to leave someone on the street
than to give them a home with support services. This is due to the tendency for those to go in
and out of shelters, the hospital bills for those with no money, as well as incarceration for
violations such as squeegeeing and panhandling. A reasonable person would look at this and say
Instead of giving up 30 billion every year to fund the continuation of homelessness in the city, why
not invest in affordable public housing and shelters to decrease the amount of money you will
spend? Homelessness in the city continues for two reasons that I will discuss in this paper. The first

Analysis Of On Liberty
On Liberty is an essay composed by a man named J.S. Mill who talks about the different types of
liberty given to individuals. The novel in divided up into five chapter stating different liberties or
responsibilities that makes someone a responsible self. There is no real definition of what could
be considered a responsible self but all the duties one has is what composes this personinto what
Mill believes one should be. These responsibilities are first to oneself, to others, and finally to
society as a whole.
The responsibilities to oneself are vast and many depending on what the individual wants to
consider as responsibilities. The person must be in tune with all that is happening inside his
world so he may grow. Individuality, is a huge part of a person because it shapes not only his
personality but his life. It is the duty to himself for once he reaches maturity he is to use what he
has learned and interpret it to his beliefs. He learns about traditions and customs from others but
may interpret differently, not suitable to him, or do not educate or develop him (55 56). He must
develop a strong character with his own impulses and desires that has been created and fixed by
his culture. The individual must make sure to take in to account what he prefers before what others
want him to do (58). Conformity is also another duty to oneself, since it is what makes him stand
out among the rest. A person can only have the chance of becoming himself again, is when his eyes

What Is The Conceptual Frameworks Of Both Philosophical...
In philosophical jurisprudence, legal positivism has made a niche for itself in defining itself in
opposition to a somewhat straight laced reading of natural law theory. Often the comparison is
based solely on an exceedingly strong and doctrinal interpretation of the two competing models. In
this paper I will examine and distinguish the conceptual frameworks of both philosophical
positions, detailing the strong and weak theses of natural law ; while in turn also examining the
implications of hard and soft legal positivism. The finer distinctions between these more tailored or
qualified theses need to be recognized in order to provoke a better understanding of the
disagreement from a conceptual perspective.
Natural Law Lex ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In an ancient, modern, and contemporary context, natural law has been identified in not only with
morality but also with the human ability to employ reason and to identify principles of rational
conduct. Rational conduct, by ancient thinkers was more often identified by what is Good (be that
in terms of divine eternal truths, or empirical notions of naturalistic perfection or completion)
whereas more modern variant of natural law may identify a rational principle based on other
considerations such as not only what is good, but what right, just, fair, reasonable or practical.
Mark Murphy credits Thomas Aquinas with the natural law maxim necessarily, law is a rational
standard for conduct (i.e. the strong thesis hard necessity). He argues that natural law is often
falsely recognized to be synonymous with a Latin maxim commonly associate with Cicero, St.
Augustine, or Thomas Aquinas is lex iniusta non est lex , or unjust law is not law . Subscribing to
this maxim would be a preposterous and gross interpretation of mainstream Thomist natural law.
Although this phrase may provoke reflection upon whether unjust laws ought to be considered
valid, or truly law; this is just an oversimplified version of the logical principle of non contradiction
and often incorrectly attributed to natural law, in the form of a straw man. There are obviously
unjust laws that were spotted throughout present time, country, and history. These laws may
undoubtedly be considered as

Benjamin Franklin s Response To The American Dream
Did Franklin Include Unemployment and Debt in American Regeneration? In The Way to Wealth
by Benjamin Franklin, he writes We are taxed twice as much by our idleness, three times as much
by our pride, and four times as much by our folly (Franklin 237) trying to prove a point that not
only are people being taxed an outrageous amount, people are taxing themselves extra by our
actions. Throughout Franklin s writing he explains how an American economy should work, along
with how a person can maintain and help to keep the economy stabilized for themselves. In the
American world today, about 5.0% of people find themselves facing unemployment, a time of stress
and conflict among the self, families and friends. Not only are the unemployment rates... Show

Franklin writes But what madness must it be to run in debt for these superfluities! (Franklin 240)
trying to explain to readers how excess amounts of spending in the long run will only lead to debt
and unnecessary items. Folly relates to the everyday life of people who continue to spend money on
items not vital to life or people who continue to leave jobs or take unemployment compensation
for granted. Franklin continually preaches on learning from mistakes, learning when to spend
money and also when to save money. He writes So, rather go to bed supperless than rise in debt
(Franklin 241) trying to get across the importance of decreasing debt rates and saving money
soon to be needed for an important investment. In the 21st century, people are concerned with
spending, which proves the advice from Franklin needs to be taken in order to decrease the
uprising debt rates. The unemployment rates must change as well by people learning from

Water And Its Properties That Makes It A Essential For All...
1. Introduction
Water and its properties are very essential for all living things. In fact, scientists are paying close
attention to presence of liquid water on other planets in efforts to find extraterrestrial life in
space. Water has properties that makes it a key role to sustain life 1. As it is a universal solvent,
it acts as a medium for most biochemical reactions 2. Without water, it is impossible for a living
thing to function. Zooming out, water is important in daily life as many aspects depend on water.
Water is used for domestic and industrial purposes. On average, people in the United States drink
110 million gallon of water everyday 3. In total, 400 billion gallon of water is used in United
states everyday 4. Natural freshwater is not completely pure. It contains solute dissolved from
erosion of minerals and dissolved gases from the atmosphere 5. Calcium, Ca2+, and magnesium,
Mg2+, are the most common and abundant solutes found in natural waters. This is due to the
presence of natural minerals such as limestone and dolomite 6. The hardness of water is defined as
the concentration of dissolved mineral cations, mainly calcium and magnesium, in water. Therefore,
by this definition, a hard water contains high concentration of solutes and a soft water contains low
concentration of solutes 5. The following table shows the water hardness category according to the
United States Department of Interior and the Water Quality Association 7.

Humanity is a part of everyday life, but what if your humanity was lost? All throughout the human
existence, there has been humanity. In the time period of humanity, humanity was put to the test.
Mass genocides, cruel leaders, world wars, and many more have shown humanity at its lowest. It
shows how humanity is completely destroyed in times of injustice and war. Surviving Hitler, by
Andrea Warren and The Diary of Anne Frank by Goodrich and Hackett show how the Nazi party

their sense of humanity.
Others may argue that humanity is not lost and destroyed in times of injustice and war, but they
are definitely wrong. Before the war Jack had parents, a brother, a grandfather, uncles, aunts, and
cousins eighty one people in all. Now, everyone except Jack s second cousins, Robert and Arek,

The fiendish characters committed similar actions, but accomplished them in different ways, which

and proof of trust towards their fathers. Goneril and Regan went out of their way to flatter their
father and make him feel loved in the opening scene, going as far as saying that he is practically
the only one they love. Edmund, while convincing his father of Edgar s betrayal, was sure to appear
the best in the situation; Edmund committed a number of actions that led his father to trust him.

Metaphors In The Grasshopper
The Hangman (upon his Death bed) concerning his beheading his late Majesty, Charles the first,
King of Great Britain; and his Protestation and Vow touching the same; the manner how he was
terrified in Conscience (Brandon 1649). Literature such as this introduction to the confessional of
King Charles executioner, John Miltons Lycidas, and Richard Lovelace s The Grasshopper prove
that where there is social unrest, there will be writing that responds to it, and mid seventeenth
century England had a lot of chaos to consider. War disagreements and corruption within England s
church were key occasions that censored and shaped the work of Milton and Lovelace. Milton s
repeated use of symbols, metaphors, and indirect allusions to the clergy in his poem speaks
volumes about the political control and religious tensions in England. Lovelace s royalist themes,
and careful juxtaposition of words and allusions in his poem convey the leisure and political
opposition of the Cavalier men to the Puritans. The context and literary devices in both contribute
to making them skillfully crafted cultural references indicative of the rising tensions during which
they were composed.
In Lycidas, John Milton pays careful attention to detail while he commemorates the death of
Edward King, his old classmate, and discusses themes of pastoral life in his pastoral elegy. He
begins with a bitter tone in the first four lines:
Yet once more, O ye laurels, and once more

Rhetorical Analysis Of Margaret Sanger s The Children s Era
In America, the twentieth century marked the beginning of a pivotal age that contained many
social and political reforms for women. Feminists around the country each presented unique ideas
for women s rights, most of them through influential writings and speeches. Margaret Sanger was
an undeniably significant contributor who made a huge impact on the future of women s civil
liberties. A nurse with a prolific writing career, Sanger delivered her speech The Children s Era in
1925, a text that advocates for the use of contraceptives to improve the lives of mothers and
children. Throughout the speech, she employs the use of analogies to provide clarity to her purpose
and deliver a lasting message that women s bodies must be controlled if they are to effectively
fulfill their maternal obligations. Sanger also incorporates two of the Aristotelian appeals, logos
and pathos, to accentuate the plight that mothers and children must face despite an accessible
solution. The careful application of diction throughout her speech also emphasizes her three main
rhetorical strategies. These rhetorical devices support Sanger s overall message of maternal
empowerment and convince her hesitant audience to fully accept her progressive ideals. During the
nineteenth century, women had few rights, and were often objectified by men. An ideal woman
was subservient to her husband, had plenty of children, and was not expected to work outside the
home. As the Victorian era progressed, some women

have a few things in common. Most noticeable is the fact that they are all contemporary
celebrities and women. However, these celebrities share another common trait that will be of
much more relevance in the discussion that will follow: they have all been given the label of
kleptomaniac at one point or another in the public eye due to being caught shoplifting at least
once. To be fair, diagnoses made by tabloids and the media are of much less substance than medical
diagnosis. It is plausible that one or more of the celebrities mentioned above who were caught
shoplifting were not stealing out of a recurrent and compulsive urge. Regardless, whether... Show

There is a case of a man who would not eat unless his food was stolen, so a servant would take
pains to hide the man s food in such a manner that the man could steal it and eat rather than die
from starvation. One woman was so afflicted with the compulsion to steal that she would not
hesitate in stealing offerings and tithes from church baskets at the altar. An otherwise upstanding
woman was such a helpless thief that she would steal bread from her friends dinner table if there
was nothing else more valuable to be had. There is even record of a clergyman whose
kleptomania was so notorious that the Church eventually had to cut ties with him. A British lady,
presumably of high society, was prosecuted for stealing handkerchiefs from a clothing store; the
Times which reported on the case insinuated that recurrent and compulsive theft of cheap items
from shops is quite common among the ladies of high society in London. This behavior was so
well known that family members arranged a well coordinated effort with drivers and shopkeepers
to keep tabs on their thieving ladies and to make sure that the shopkeepers got reimbursed.
Sometimes the thief herself would be the one writing the check that the shopkeepers would
inevitably send to their home. One of the causes of kleptomania appears to be general insanity. The
behavior is so compulsive, that people who are otherwise upstanding and moral in

Registered Nurse Personal Statement
My interest in nursing began when I was a young girl, being part of a dance group that traveled
to nursing facilities throughout Pennsylvania to bring joy to the elder population. This
experience introduced me to the healthcare field and developed my perception of both the
caregiver and patient experiences. Also, contributing to my interest in the nursing field was
caring for my terminally ill uncle, with my mother, until he passed. Originally, being only 9
years of age, this experience made me angry and confused, however, gave me motivation to find
out more information such as what treatments we were taking him to, why they didn t cure him,
what was cancer, and how does it take a person s life. Finally, I have always excelled and had a
love for science and math, which has assisted me through achieving my dreams of becoming a
registered nurse. These experiences developed a few main personal traits... Show more content on

The reading Some Remarks on Infant Observation, A. Freud , was very interesting as it was based
on the observation of newborns/infants and mother and infant relationship by students who are
training to be physicians and psychotherapist. The field of human development from a new born
baby throughout childhooddevelopment is focused on changing the way we think about children s
mind. The core of Ana Freud s theory is to gain solid understanding of what is normal in the

the baby and the exchanges of thoughts and feelings between infants and their mother.

Computer Causes And Disadvantages Essay
Computers are a vital part of many different jobs and activities globally, however there are many
health issues that are caused and associated with working with computers. The over use of
computers can cause eye strain. By forcing your eyes to focus at for a long period of time at the
distance cause fatigue. Structurally, the human eye prefers to look at objects that are more than six
metres away, so any work executed close up puts additional strain on the eye muscles. The light of
the computercan also cause fatigue, the symptoms that can occur are blurred vision, temporary
inability to focus on far away objects and headaches. By making sure the main source of light in
a room is not shining straight onto your face or directly onto the computer screen, this helps to
prevent eye strain. If using the computer at night in a dark room the computer screens brightness
is turned down to a minimum. Also, tilting the screen slightly to avoid reflections or glace and
insures the computer screen is not too close to your face. It is advised that people take regular
breaks during a long period of focused work e.g. every hour. It is important that regular eye
examinations are attended to check that any blurred vision, headaches and any other related
problems are not caused by a primary problem, which is then made worse by the over use of a
computer. (Betterhealth,2017)

community college being a alternative to students in search of a afforable higher education, through
his use of ethos, pathos, and logos.

The Canadian Community Health Survey
Purpose of the CCHS:
The Canadian Community Health Survey (CCHS) is a federal cross sectional assessment that aims
to obtain health related information at the regional tier. This series of surveys gathers population
level data linked with health status, health care usage, and the root causes affecting overall health.
The CCHS aims to document emerging health trends that can assist in population health research
and additional health surveillance programs. Furthermore, the effective utilization of the CCHS can
serve as a platform to improve the well being of all Canadians and raise awareness about health
concerns and innovative health strategies.
When did it start and why?
The CCHS is a joint effort of Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, Statistics
Canada, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In 1991, the National Task Force
on Health Information highlighted various discrepancies with the collection and management of
Canadian health data. As a result, a Health Information Roadmap was constructed and a framework
for the CCHS was developed. The CCHS initiative began surveying in 2001, and, in 2015, the
CCHS implemented a new collection mandate resulting from a redesign project that included
significant content modifications.

Gender Roles, Stereotyping and Gender Bias Essay
Gender affects every aspect of our life, from how we feel about ourselves and set our goals in
educational, recreational and work opportunities as well as the the nature and extent of our
participation in social and civic life. It has a strong impact on the way we practice our religion,
the way we dress, the way we express our feelings and the nature of all of our relationships with
others.
This paper explores various facets of gender roles in order to understand this topic such as what
role males and females are expected to play in today s society, how gender roles are decided,
affected and exaggerated by stereotyping. Futhermore, this paper will draw attention towards how
stereotyping leads to gender biases.

An individual can either identify themselves with a subculture or social group which results in them
having diverse gender roles.
Today when a human baby is born the first question that is asked is Is it a boy or a girl? In
human culture the answer to this question is gigantically significant. This definition of
femaleness or maleness is the hypothesis of the society which assumes that the child who is
born a girl will remain female forever, while a boy will be a male. Gender roles are created by
society and vary from society to society as it takes all sorts to make a world. It does not matter
where ever you are in the world its just society which assigns the gender roles without even having
enough knowledge about one s gender identity. We living in 21st century but when it comes to

The Functional Nature Of The Software
Integrating Autograph in teaching The functional nature of the software is determined by the order
of tasks prepared by the teacher and how the learners interact with the software (Godwin
Beswetherick, 2003). Hence, working on the tasks set using the software, the learners are able to
manipulate and explore mathematical relationships independently. Previously, I have taught this
topic using pedagogy and content knowledge, in line with the department s Scheme of Work.
However, following the assessments carried out; the question testing pupils knowledge on the

However, we should not overrule using pen and paper because it is important for learners to
know how to draw the graph and to be able to explore this by themselves. Trialling teaching and
learning using Autograph The functionality of the software is partially determined by the type of
activities designed by the teacher and how the pupils interact with it (Godwin Beswetherick,
2003). Therefore, for a desired learning outcome to be attained, meticulous planning of the tasks
by the teacher must be prepared. Tasks set should provide a purposeful balance of instructions and
experiment enabling learners to make effective use of the DT tool in their learning and at the
same time allow the possibility of exploration. Failure to properly plan activities will result in
inadequate progress made by learners and unsuccessful integration of the digital tool in lesson. In
designing the task we should make room for pupils to make conjectures and tests them using the
DT. In assessing pupils understanding, skilful questioning and plenary activities tend to make
lessons to be more engaging and more inclusive. Also, as mentioned before, planning for learners
errors and misconceptions at and intervening on this should not be overlooked as it is required to
provoke mathematical insight and guide students to the desired end point. I prepared two activities

Essay on Abolishing Corporal Punishment in the United...
Corporal punishment is a discipline method in which an administering adult inflicts pain upon a
student (usually using a paddle) in response to a student s offensive behavior. Nowadays regulations
have been created as to how many swats can be inflicted, by whom, and with what instrument. It is
still used in many U.S. schools as a disciplinary method against disobedient or defiant students.
Although corporal punishmentis no longer tolerated in the military, prisons, or mental institutions,

Not only are such messages thought to be wrong themselves, but it is claimed that they are
repeated by the children who are hit. In the short term, those who are physically punished are
alleged to commit violence against other children, against teachers and against school property. As
far as long term effects are concerned, it is alleged that significant numbers of people who commit
crimes were physically punished as children. It is these arguments that lie behind the saying
violence breeds violence. All forms of corporal punishment in schools must be banned given that
all violence must be banned in schools and all corporal punishment influences violence in schools.
(CS) Just because an official is promoting violence, instead of a student, does not make it okay.
Punishing a student with violence is taking the easy way out of the situation. It is like putting a
Band Aid over a cut for the quick and easy fix. It may be a way to create an immediate response,
but it is inhumane and for lack of a better word, lazy. So this leaves us with a choice; either we
continue taking the quick fix , or we take action by permanently abolishing corporal punishment. No
one wants to treat children, the future of our country, with just a quick fix that ca hurt them in the
long run .(DS) So we need to confront the problem head on by taking action and finding other
means of punishment.

Gay Marriage Should Be Legal
A gay couple from Indianapolis who have waited to marry for years have been quoted as saying:
We re positive because the mindset in this nation seems to be that it is unconstitutional to say that
our marriages are different from any other marriage. (pro con,1) This means that gay people are
staying optimistic. Prohibiting gay marriageis considered discrimination to gays because the
government is not giving homosexual couples the same rights as gay heterosexuals, which is also
unconstitutional. Therefore, same sex couples should have access to the same marriage benefits

Opponents believe that same sex marriage is not right and you should be ashamed to be that

the game on TV wouldn t know about. This topic is important to me because it will allow me to

Overall this topic is interesting to me because I ve been a big basketball fan my whole life but as I
grew older I realized I wouldn t be make it in the NBA or be Lebron James. Instead this project
will allow me to explore the jobs that still have a connection to sports. At the same time I will see
what has to be done behind the scenes that most people do not know about. To learn more about
what happens behind the scenes of a basketball game I had to know about the working conditions
and time involved. For the Golden State Warriors the job of game operations or game experience is
a very important position. The official game operations leader has to make sure all the
entertainment the fans see and experience at the game is running smoothly. The position basically
looks over all the scheduled performances during a regular game and makes sure the interaction
with the fans run smoothly as possible. This includes all the work on the video board, the pregame
show, the national anthem, along with the halftime shows and the fan interaction during time outs
All this add ups to long hours and hard working conditions.
To begin with the game operations position is a difficult position to get into. Today a degree in
sports management is practically needed in order be considered for the job. The sports
management major teaches future workers more about the business and entertainment side of
sports (professional). Experience is also a big factor for getting the

How the Electoral College Works
The Electoral College: How it works
Axia College University of Phoenix
How do we elect the President? Many people do not understand the process by which we elect the
President. They do not understand how the Electoral College works. Bill Stern (Andrews, 1996)
said, Our elections are free, it s in the results where eventually we pay. Oftentimes, people vote
based on public opinion or information obtained by the media. Voters should inform themselves on
how the Electoral College works in order to make good decisions when voting for the president.

Note. From U.S. Electoral College 2000 Presidential Election. Delegate selection for the
Electoral College happens in a variety of ways. Each state decides how it selects its electors.
Currently, every state allows its electors to be chosen by popular vote. The political party
usually nominates electors at their state conventions or by a vote of the party s central
committee. Political parties select electors to recognize their service and dedication. These
electors are state elected officials, party leaders, or people with a personal or political affiliation
with a candidate. Some states show the electors names on the ballot others do not. Voters should
research the process of selecting electors in their state and for their political party. Voters should
inform themselves on what their ballot format is before National Election Day. When we vote
for a pair of candidates on a ticket, we are selecting a group of electors to serve in the Electoral
College. There are many controversial arguments regarding the Electoral College. After the
controversy of the 2000 election, people across the country wanted to do away with the Electoral
College. Many people

Corruption In Canterbury Tales Essay
Bryson Miller
Ms. Morris
English 12 3rd
5 December 2016
Upper Class of Canterbury Tales
Some ill hearted people use corruption to achieve the highest place in society. Even in the 1600 s
Shakespeare writes about how corruption can shape a society. Corruption can cause an unbalance
of power in the wrong places. Geoffrey Chaucer writes about certain classes in the fourteenth
century. Chaucer uses the upper class in Canterbury Tales to show the importance of corruption
through the following characters: The Friar, the Pardoner, and the Summoner.
The Friar is a sneaky and evil beggar that associates with the upper class, which makes him part of
the corruption. He also enjoyed befriending comely young women and wealthy men, (Morgan) as
he made an art out of stealing people s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Summoner was known for knowing everything about everyone which really played to his
advantage. He could bring duress on any young fellow in the diocese. (114) The Summoner s
job was to summon people to the church for committing sins. Since he knew everything about
everyone he would accept bribes from people to revoke their summons. The Summoner has no
hint of a personality beyond [his] life of predatory malfeasance. (Salter) He devotes his life to
corruptly earning money and becoming as wealthy as he can. Making his way to the upper
class, the Summoner destroys the church system by using his power to help his finances. The
Friar s, Pardoner s, and Summoner s power and position in Canterbury Tales helps them corrupt
their way to the top of the class. Each of these characters have a common motive: wealth. Money
seems to drive people to do things most people would not do. The upper class of any society is
usually the people with the most money. In order for these characters to be in the upper class they
had to use their power and position to their advantage. This is how corrupt societies

Spanish Futbol Essay
As human beings grow up we begin to develop interests in certain things. Hobbies are a big part
of our lives, it normally is a past time that allows us to unwind and relax, forget about our
everyday problems. It gives us something to enjoy doing. Hobbies can range from many
different activities, whether it is knitting, reading a book, surfing, running, shopping, painting
and so forth. There are so many different types of activities that one can do. These hobbies are
usually done on a casual basis; there is no obligation to do them. However one hobby that is not
taken lightly is the love of Spanish futbol. Now this is a hobby that is taken very seriously, we are
talking about a sport that can be compared to a religion that is how closely... Show more content on

Now when we talk about futbol there are so many different levels and divisions, the main level I
plan to focus on is La Liga, which is the highest division in Spanish futbol. The one that follows
is La Segunda DivisionВёbut peoples main focus is La Primera Division because the best of the
best play in this division. As well this is where most of the fuel to the fire is, especially with the
rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona. The game becomes much more intense when these two
teams are even mentioned.
In order to grasp a full understanding of the phenomenon with Spanish futbol and La Liga we
need to have some back ground knowledge of how it came to be. A man by the name of Jose
Maria Acha first proposed the idea of Spain having a national futbol team. After much debate of
how many teams there were going to be in La Liga, they came to the agreement that there would
be ten, and in 1929 the Primera Division was established. La Primera Liga is like royalty in
futbol, they are the best of the best futbolistas, and not anyone can be a part of this division. The
success of La Liga is all due to the biggest rivals in soccer history, Real Madrid and F.C.
Barcelona who are basically the biggest and most successful teams in La Primera Division. Both
these teams were founding members and have never been de ranked to Segunda Division. Due to
the fact that these teams have been at war for over eighty years shows us that the spirit of futbol

Pros And Cons Of Banned Literature And Literary Canon
Banned Literature and Literary Canon Voltaire s work Essay on tolerance quotes I disapprove
of what you say, but will defend unto death your right to say it. This makes me to think about
banned literature and censoring various texts by government due to multiple reasons embedded
in text such as political, sexual, religious, language, violence, criminal matter, social grounds etc.
Simon During in his essay Literature Nationalism s other? The Case for revision is propagating
state sponsorship, tradition, culture and subjectivity shaping our literary canon, but censoring
valuable text on the basis of some individual s or group s perception or the partiality practiced by
state, which is only beneficial to the people in governance cannot be just, when we have right to
express and right to speech in our hand to empower us. This doesn t at all mean that we can write
slanderous work at any time, bring it to the market and create havoc. So in this paper I will... Show

In Latin censere means to appraise or estimate, and to express an opinion . Censor term is linked
to the ancient Rome, where censors were some high ranking magistrates who were recruited for
public morality. Historical reference of banning any literary piece can be traced back to China s
Qin dynasty 213. B.C. Emperor Qin Shi Huangdi destroyed all the books about Confucianism to
maintain his political power. In 499, papal index was published on books to be read. In 13th
century, Philosophers and theologians such as Marsilius of Padua and John Wiclef were stopped
from writing. With the invention of printing press in 15th century censorship increased. Mogens
Laerke in the book The Use of Censorship in the Enlightenment speaks Indeed, as Rousseau would
later complain, this terrible art became the cause of frightful disorders because it allowed for swift
and efficient diffusion of ideas, including ideas dangerous to public order . (Laerke

Dave Eggers Ted Lessons
A life well lived is like an intricate frosted sugar cookie; a simple, yet easily mistaken recipe, but
when done right results in layers and depth of flavor and wonderfulness. A life well lived means
that you had an adventurous, fulfilling, and worthwhile time on earth, with family and friends
that supported you and you have no regrets. A common regret most people have as they age is
that they lost time, doing things they did not truly want to do. As a young person, I do not have
much experience, but I do know that at this time I would much rather be traveling and enjoying
time with family and friends over struggling in school and taking three tests a week. At the end of
my life, I want to be able to say that I had fun and that I travelled... Show more content on

In the TED Talk by Dave Eggers, Eggers shares his story about opening a pirate themed tutoring
organization for young students. He had a rough time in the beginning, but he never gave up,
and eventually the tutoring organization at 826 Valencia became a well known and resource
for young kids. Through Eggers individuality and innovation of this themed tutoring center,
students have improved their writing and editing skills. Even though Eggers had a rough time
in the beginning, he never gave up on his idea to help students find their passion in their school
work. Similarly, Jobs gives meaningful advice about how his life was shaped and that how his
dots fell into place, like going to college and finding his passion for calligraphy, and putting his
passion to work on a new, innovative company. Jobs said it best when he explained the concept
of connecting the dots, and that you must trust your gut when those dots begin to connect. Both
Jobs and Eggers had a pretty rough time in their companies and they actually failed, but instead
of dwelling on failure, they made something great out of it, and they have become even more
successful. By not looking back on failure and letting it defeat them, they put it in the past and
pushed forward. Another great point that Jobs added in his speech was to stay hungry; what he
meant by this is that you must look for new things to do and try to go outside of your comfort
zone this relates to Leon Stokesbury s poem, Unsent Message to My Brother in His Pain, in that
Stoskebury s advice was to not give up and find a better purpose of life. Eggers, Jobs, and
Stokesbury had similar ideas of not giving up just because life is getting hard fight through those
hard times and come out on top. Pushing through the rough patches will only make you stronger,
and in the long run, make you

Short Term Goals
Title of Your Report Tony Robbins once said goals are like magnets, they ll attract the thing that
makes them true . Goals are always needed, they help one grow in life. Having goals gives more
encouragement to someone so they can complete it. Goals can always help someone out in
different types of ways, it can be personal, academic, performance. As long as you make it a goal, it
s most likely to happen. Here are some of my own goals. There are such things as short term
goals, which are goals that can be completed within the upcoming months. These are my short
term goals. In the next year I want to keep all of my grades above a C . The purpose of this goal
is to get me to keep doing my work throughout the entire school year. This year I want to have at
least decent grades when passing, instead of barely passing. Doing extracurricular activities I
think would be fun and help me find a good college based on what I do, doing this is actually a
goal of mine. These will be fun and I hope to join the gaming and environmental science clubs....

made. In a few years I hope to graduate on time and already know what college I want to get into.
This is a goal because it s important to me, so I wouldn t get out of high school and not know what
to do. I want to be in college within a couple of months of graduating. In a decade or so I want to
maybe be done with college and have a job, depending how long college take me. Find the job I
want to get my career going, this is another one of my goals. This is my goal for the future because
I want to get my degrees, be done with college, and be off on my way to getting the job I want as a

Ethical Codes In Human Service
The ethical codes I have chosen to review are the National Organization of Human Services
(NOHS) codes because they are most appropriate for what I am studying. The ethical code, that is
provided by the NOHS, is very important to know and understand. As a human service major, I
consider the code of ethicsto be part of my life in ethical decision making. They protect the rights
of the client and the worker. They create guidelines, in which you should follow for standards of
practice. In the human service field, my job may be to assess a client s needs or create a treatment
plan. During which time, there must be certain behaviors and needs that are brought to a client, by

To assist a client and guide them is ultimately up to me. It is required that I act with integrity and
follow all laws. There will be no black and white while assisting a client. There will be a lot of
grey areas. As an undergraduate, I will learn as much as I can. Later, I will be able to guide a
client and assure to make careful choices. If I am unsure of something or it is out of my skill set,
I should go to someone how has acquired these skills for guidance and support. The code should
not only be used for your profession or job, it should become your lifestyle. It is my
responsibility to my community and to a client, as an individual. I believe it is very important
for me to know and to stay inside my scope of knowledge. If I were to give guidance to someone
that was not in my skill set, I may harm them or someone else, unintentionally. I feel it is very
important to never stop learning. I will continue to grow and strive, as a professional, so I can
better serve the population I will be working with. I will commit myself to my community for

The Veil Of Ignorance In Rawls Theory Of Justice
This paper examines the Veil of Ignorance in Rawls theory of justice. The beginning of the paper
shall define and explain the original position and veil of ignorance. The paper will explore the
various implications of Rawls application of the Veil of Ignorance and its use in establishing his
conception of justice. The paper shall look into the different criticisms of the veil of ignorance
followed by the conclusion.
Rawls uses the original position as an alternative to the state of nature and is regarded by Rawls as
the appropriate initial situation for a social contract as justice is the first virtue of social institutions,
as truth is of systems of thought. (Rawls 3) He uses justice as a part of his social contract theory

Dworkin points out the biggest flaw in Rawls veil of ignorance by stating, A hypothetical contract
is not simply a pale form of an actual contract; it is no contract at all. (Dworkin 289) Dworkin
states that hypothetical agreements have no binding force. These conceptions always fail in real
life scenarios. Dworkin further states, The original position may now be seen as a device for
testing these competing arguments. It supposes, reasonably, that political arrangements that do not
display equal concern and respect are those that are established and administered by powerful men
and women who, whether they recognize it or not, have more concern and respect for members of
a particular class, or people with particular talents or ideals, than they have for others. (Dworkin

The Bloody Sunday Massacre in 1905
Architectural buildings around the world make up one factor of the beauty and culture of each
country. The Winter Palace is an incredibly beautiful architectural building in St. Petersburg,
Russia. The Winter Palace consists of great importance politically, culturally, and symbolically in
the city s third century. In 1708, the Winter Palacewas first built as a wooden house with a Dutch
style to be the Imperial residence of Peter the Great and his family. In 1711, the wood was
replaced by a stone building. However, in 1731 Francesco Bartolomeo Rastrelli was assigned to
reconstruct the palace into a much larger and newer design. The third reconstruction of the
palace was completed in the year of 1735. Nevertheless, it only lasted 17 years before Rastrelli
was asked again to expand the building even more. Two years later, he decided to completely
rebuild the Winter Palace after the confirmation of the empress. (saint petersburg.com) Ratrelli s
designs for the exterior were in a Baroque style, which have remained the same till this day. (about

A Brief Note On Skin And Skin Contact
Skin to Skin Contact: Final
Newborns are born with physiological challenges. They have physical immaturity that is not able to
function like an adult or child can. When newborns exit their mother s womb, the newborn is
welcomed into this new environment. The new environment can be unsafe, frightening, and cold
for them. The transition from fetal to newborn life can be full of instability. Skin to Skin Contact
(SSC) is placing the newborn on their mother s bare chest covered with a blanket. SSC warms a
cool newborn naturally and maintains optimal temperature. The use of thermometer measures the
newborn s temperature taken at the axillary site. Implementing SSC is cost efficient and offers
many benefits. In order for SSC to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Low body temperature is also called hypothermia. After the first few minutes of the newborn s
birth, body temperature decreases by a few degrees. Newborn s fall of temperature occurs
immediately so appropriate measures must be taken immediately to prevent heat loss. The
temperature of the environment will greatly affect the fall of the newborn s temperature. If proper
measures are not provided during the first 24 hours, heat loss will continue to occur that will place
the newborn at risk for developing hypothermia.
Rationale
Many studies showed that SSC possesses many benefits to both mother and newborn. The studies
were conducted in post delivery setting and showed many benefits over the past several years.
Some of these benefits include thermoregulation, increased infant stability, increased infant mother
bonding, improved breastfeeding and more (Moore, Anderson, Bergman, Dowswell, 2012). SSC
will produce a natural way of maintaining body homeostasis. When babies are born, their
physiological function is not ready for their new environment due to physical immaturity; they are
not able to maintain temperature regulation and are at risk for hypothermia. The World Health
Organization (WHO) has a couple recommendations pertaining to SSC. The first recommendation
is placing all healthy newborns in SSC with their mothers to maintain temperature and breastfeeding
in the first hour of their lives (Guidelines on

From the point of global ethic many of these ethics collide with government priority in attracting and retaining MNEs. One biggest fear that government has with taking action against the unfair practices is loss of investment from the MNE which would eventually lead to economic downturn for the country. Most MNE who have offshore there company operation of the supply chain and production of their products to sub contractors in developing countries like India, Honduras, El Salvador etc. many multinational have been accused for condoning to practices like minimum pay with lengthy hours, child labor and unsafe work environment which are against the law in their home countries. • 6. David Hume Argument For Motivation Many philosophical pieces and writers have attempted, throughout history, to explain motivation and the factors which lead to motivation. A main topic among discussions of motivation is the separation between sole belief, and action upon that belief and what stimulates actions based on such beliefs. David Hume, a philosopher from The Age of Enlightenment, proposed his understanding and argument for motivation, which has been coined as: The Humean Theory of Motivation. According to The Humean Theory of Motivation, reasons are a necessary motivating factors of acting on a belief. He believes that motivation is not a sole matter of moral judgments, but that beliefs only influence behaviorand action in combination with emotional states. These... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Despite its strong explanation and relevance, there are criticisms towards this theory regarding motivating factors and reasoning. Specifically, some argue that The Humean Theory of Motivation is the idea that The Humean Theory of Motivation is objectively not normative(Hubin, 1999), or not directly stating what ought, or what ought not be. Another, more complex, argument against The Humean Theory of Motivation is written in G.F. Scheuler s The Humean Theory of Motivation Rejected, He explains that, while desires are surely present in reasoning, desires are not solely applicable, and do not have a sole force on motivation. He states that reasoning is done with representations of things, not the things themselves, even when the things being represented are one s own desires(Schueler, 2009). In other words, Scheuler believes that if an individual is is reasoning how to satisfy her desires in accordance to desire belief based reasoning, that the reason is causing the motivation, rather than the desire itself. He is stating that when one reasons with desire they are representing the desires rather than only being focused on the desire itself(Schueler, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The authors effectively establish baseline hormone levels by ensuring the stress hormones measured during experiments are not solely due to the procedural stress of acupuncture needles. Acclamation ensures that the needles and procedure are no longer novel to the rats and the stress related hormones primarily reflect exposure to the ice/water treatment. Although Eshkevari et al. engage in clinically worthy research aided by a beneficial acclamation protocol, major concerns arise regarding the generalizability of the results due to the utilization of only male rats. The work of Vieira et al. (1) suggests that sexual dimorphism impacts the stress response and demonstrates that female rats experience enhanced vulnerability to stress evoked HPA axis changes. Even if the results of the Eshkevari et al. study propose EA at St36 as a therapeutic option in male rats, sexual dimorphism may negate any therapeutic effects in female rats and necessitates future research to determine if EA presents therapeutic benefits in both sexes. Further concerns arise from the authors conclusion that EA benefits are specific to St36 stimulation. Eshkevari et al. cite elevated ACTH and CORT levels in sham EA rats as evidence that the suppression of the stress hormones is specific to EA at St36. The results section, however, reveals ... Realism or political realism prioritizes national interests and security concerns in addition to moral ideology and social reconstruction. The term is often associated with political power. The term is often associated with political power. Realism believes that the state is the main actor of the most important in determining the direction of a country. If away, then there are various forms of action to be taken such as military, economic supply restrictions and others. So countries need to assess national interests whether to cooperate or not. Constructivism also emphasizes the influence of culture in international relations. This is because the relationship is true not only taking into account the political and ideological aspects alone, but also the cultural aspects. For example if there are cultural similarities between actors will be more likely to facilitate collaboration and no conflicts will occur. This can be seen through the relationship between Malaysia and Indonesia that have similar culture, namely cultural and religious expression of Islam. • 12. The Problem Of The Homelessness Every time I go to Bathurst Street in order to see my orthodontist, I always encounter those who are on the street and less fortunate then I am. There is an estimated 5200 homeless living in the city. This amount doesn t even take into account the hidden homeless that need long term housing. Homelessness in the city of Toronto costs the provincial government approximately 30 billion dollars a year. I have at times wondered why haven t we as a society taken the steps to end homelessnessin Toronto? I mean it s a very simple question that can be answered with economic reasoning. To put it simply: it is unrealistic to end homelessness in Toronto. To help me reach this conclusion I went on a couple of websites to do some research, as well as used some of the core economic principles to reach my conclusion. Several studies have found that it costs three to four times more to leave someone on the street than to give them a home with support services. This is due to the tendency for those to go in and out of shelters, the hospital bills for those with no money, as well as incarceration for violations such as squeegeeing and panhandling. A reasonable person would look at this and say Instead of giving up 30 billion every year to fund the continuation of homelessness in the city, why not invest in affordable public housing and shelters to decrease the amount of money you will spend? Homelessness in the city continues for two reasons that I will discuss in this paper. The first ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Analysis Of On Liberty On Liberty is an essay composed by a man named J.S. Mill who talks about the different types of liberty given to individuals. The novel in divided up into five chapter stating different liberties or responsibilities that makes someone a responsible self. There is no real definition of what could be considered a responsible self but all the duties one has is what composes this personinto what Mill believes one should be. These responsibilities are first to oneself, to others, and finally to society as a whole. The responsibilities to oneself are vast and many depending on what the individual wants to consider as responsibilities. The person must be in tune with all that is happening inside his world so he may grow. Individuality, is a huge part of a person because it shapes not only his personality but his life. It is the duty to himself for once he reaches maturity he is to use what he has learned and interpret it to his beliefs. He learns about traditions and customs from others but may interpret differently, not suitable to him, or do not educate or develop him (55 56). He must develop a strong character with his own impulses and desires that has been created and fixed by his culture. The individual must make sure to take in to account what he prefers before what others want him to do (58). Conformity is also another duty to oneself, since it is what makes him stand out among the rest. A person can only have the chance of becoming himself again, is when his eyes ... • 14. What Is The Conceptual Frameworks Of Both Philosophical... In philosophical jurisprudence, legal positivism has made a niche for itself in defining itself in opposition to a somewhat straight laced reading of natural law theory. Often the comparison is based solely on an exceedingly strong and doctrinal interpretation of the two competing models. In this paper I will examine and distinguish the conceptual frameworks of both philosophical positions, detailing the strong and weak theses of natural law ; while in turn also examining the implications of hard and soft legal positivism. The finer distinctions between these more tailored or qualified theses need to be recognized in order to provoke a better understanding of the disagreement from a conceptual perspective. Natural Law Lex ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In an ancient, modern, and contemporary context, natural law has been identified in not only with morality but also with the human ability to employ reason and to identify principles of rational conduct. Rational conduct, by ancient thinkers was more often identified by what is Good (be that in terms of divine eternal truths, or empirical notions of naturalistic perfection or completion) whereas more modern variant of natural law may identify a rational principle based on other considerations such as not only what is good, but what right, just, fair, reasonable or practical. Mark Murphy credits Thomas Aquinas with the natural law maxim necessarily, law is a rational standard for conduct (i.e. the strong thesis hard necessity). He argues that natural law is often falsely recognized to be synonymous with a Latin maxim commonly associate with Cicero, St. Augustine, or Thomas Aquinas is lex iniusta non est lex , or unjust law is not law . Subscribing to this maxim would be a preposterous and gross interpretation of mainstream Thomist natural law. Although this phrase may provoke reflection upon whether unjust laws ought to be considered valid, or truly law; this is just an oversimplified version of the logical principle of non contradiction and often incorrectly attributed to natural law, in the form of a straw man. There are obviously unjust laws that were spotted throughout present time, country, and history. These laws may undoubtedly be considered as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In The Way to Wealth by Benjamin Franklin, he writes We are taxed twice as much by our idleness, three times as much by our pride, and four times as much by our folly (Franklin 237) trying to prove a point that not only are people being taxed an outrageous amount, people are taxing themselves extra by our actions. Throughout Franklin s writing he explains how an American economy should work, along with how a person can maintain and help to keep the economy stabilized for themselves. In the American world today, about 5.0% of people find themselves facing unemployment, a time of stress and conflict among the self, families and friends. Not only are the unemployment rates... Calcium, Ca2+, and magnesium, Mg2+, are the most common and abundant solutes found in natural waters. This is due to the presence of natural minerals such as limestone and dolomite 6. The hardness of water is defined as the concentration of dissolved mineral cations, mainly calcium and magnesium, in water. Therefore, by this definition, a hard water contains high concentration of solutes and a soft water contains low concentration of solutes 5. Metaphors In The Grasshopper The Hangman (upon his Death bed) concerning his beheading his late Majesty, Charles the first, King of Great Britain; and his Protestation and Vow touching the same; the manner how he was terrified in Conscience (Brandon 1649). Literature such as this introduction to the confessional of King Charles executioner, John Miltons Lycidas, and Richard Lovelace s The Grasshopper prove that where there is social unrest, there will be writing that responds to it, and mid seventeenth century England had a lot of chaos to consider. War disagreements and corruption within England s church were key occasions that censored and shaped the work of Milton and Lovelace. Milton s repeated use of symbols, metaphors, and indirect allusions to the clergy in his poem speaks volumes about the political control and religious tensions in England. Lovelace s royalist themes, and careful juxtaposition of words and allusions in his poem convey the leisure and political opposition of the Cavalier men to the Puritans. The context and literary devices in both contribute to making them skillfully crafted cultural references indicative of the rising tensions during which they were composed. In Lycidas, John Milton pays careful attention to detail while he commemorates the death of Edward King, his old classmate, and discusses themes of pastoral life in his pastoral elegy. • 23. Rhetorical Analysis Of Margaret Sanger s The Children s Era In America, the twentieth century marked the beginning of a pivotal age that contained many social and political reforms for women. Feminists around the country each presented unique ideas for women s rights, most of them through influential writings and speeches. Margaret Sanger was an undeniably significant contributor who made a huge impact on the future of women s civil liberties. A nurse with a prolific writing career, Sanger delivered her speech The Children s Era in 1925, a text that advocates for the use of contraceptives to improve the lives of mothers and children. Throughout the speech, she employs the use of analogies to provide clarity to her purpose and deliver a lasting message that women s bodies must be controlled if they are to effectively fulfill their maternal obligations. Sanger also incorporates two of the Aristotelian appeals, logos and pathos, to accentuate the plight that mothers and children must face despite an accessible solution. The careful application of diction throughout her speech also emphasizes her three main rhetorical strategies. These rhetorical devices support Sanger s overall message of maternal empowerment and convince her hesitant audience to fully accept her progressive ideals. During the nineteenth century, women had few rights, and were often objectified by men. An ideal woman was subservient to her husband, had plenty of children, and was not expected to work outside the home. As the Victorian era progressed, some women ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An otherwise upstanding woman was such a helpless thief that she would steal bread from her friends dinner table if there was nothing else more valuable to be had. There is even record of a clergyman whose kleptomania was so notorious that the Church eventually had to cut ties with him. A British lady, presumably of high society, was prosecuted for stealing handkerchiefs from a clothing store; the Times which reported on the case insinuated that recurrent and compulsive theft of cheap items from shops is quite common among the ladies of high society in London. This behavior was so well known that family members arranged a well coordinated effort with drivers and shopkeepers to keep tabs on their thieving ladies and to make sure that the shopkeepers got reimbursed. The CCHS aims to document emerging health trends that can assist in population health research and additional health surveillance programs. Furthermore, the effective utilization of the CCHS can serve as a platform to improve the well being of all Canadians and raise awareness about health concerns and innovative health strategies. When did it start and why? The CCHS is a joint effort of Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, Statistics Canada, and the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In 1991, the National Task Force on Health Information highlighted various discrepancies with the collection and management of Canadian health data. Therefore, for a desired learning outcome to be attained, meticulous planning of the tasks by the teacher must be prepared. Tasks set should provide a purposeful balance of instructions and experiment enabling learners to make effective use of the DT tool in their learning and at the same time allow the possibility of exploration. Failure to properly plan activities will result in inadequate progress made by learners and unsuccessful integration of the digital tool in lesson. Prohibiting gay marriageis considered discrimination to gays because the government is not giving homosexual couples the same rights as gay heterosexuals, which is also unconstitutional. Therefore, same sex couples should have access to the same marriage benefits and public acknowledgment enjoyed by heterosexual couples. Skin to Skin Contact (SSC) is placing the newborn on their mother s bare chest covered with a blanket. SSC warms a cool newborn naturally and maintains optimal temperature. If proper measures are not provided during the first 24 hours, heat loss will continue to occur that will place the newborn at risk for developing hypothermia. Rationale Many studies showed that SSC possesses many benefits to both mother and newborn. The studies were conducted in post delivery setting and showed many benefits over the past several years.
