Essay about Systems Theory
Systems approach is based on the fundamental principle that all aspects of a human problem should be
treated together in a rational manner (Healy, 2005). I have divided this essay into relevant sections that
cover an overview of systems ideas, general systems theory and ecological systems theory. This
assignment will also include Germain and Gittermans life model, and it will be related back to the
case study that has been provided. Limitations of systems theory will also be discussed.
Systems ideas is referring to three different types of systems, each created in a different era; general
systems theory, ecosystem perspectives and complex systems theory (Healy, 2005). Systems Ideas in
social work originated with general systems theory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Healy stated the original proponents of general systems theory used biological terminology to explain
client needs, situations and the purpose of social work practice (2005). The term that is applied for
systems theory is for all systems in general. All systems have boundaries within which both physical
and mental energy is exchanged. There are two types of systems that this applies to. Closed systems
have no interchange across the boundaries whereas open systems have permeable boundaries or
guidelines but there is also some room for movement, within reason.
With the second wave of systems theory came about the idea of the ecological perspective, named
ecological systems theory. It is the combining of general systems theory with an ecological approach.
Ecological systems theory uses ideas that link together four different social systems that surround an
individual; these systems are known as, micro systems, meso systems, exo systems and macro systems
(Healy, 2005). The ecological model is used as a tool. These systems are very structured and use
certain processes as guideline. Different processing concepts are used in systems theory. These
concepts explain how the system works. Input is the energy being fed into the system across
boundaries. Throughput is how the energy is used within the system and output is the

What Is The Rational Choice Theory
Rational Choice Theory
The Rational Choice Theory, more commonly referred to as Choice Theory is a view as to why
criminals commit crimes, and more importantly why juveniles choose to be delinquent. The problem
of juvenile delinquency according to this viewpoint, which makes juvenile delinquency an individual
problem on and not a social problem. The Rational Choice theory will be detailed throughout this
paper as well as the theory s established ways in which the theorists believe juvenile delinquency can
be prevented. The validity of the Rational Choice Theory will also briefly be discussed.

The Routine Activities Theory states is a view, that crime is a normal function of the routine activities
of modern living. (Siegel Welsh, 2017, p. 64) Basically stated, the Routine Activities Theory
developed by Cohen and Felson ins 1979, In order for a criminal opportunity to develop, a motivated
offender, suitable target, and a lack of capable guardianship must converge in time and space.
(Drawve, Thomas, Walker, 2013, p. 450) So, the above information holds true first parental
supervision that is capable will likely keep children from offending because they will get caught. Best
stated Making sure that we do not make ourselves suitable targets like leaving cash out or just not
monitoring your goods and property can help juveniles make the choice to offend. Finally, finding
way to keep our youth busy can help them not become motivated offenders. A motivated offender is
one who cannot find a way to fund their needs or has too much free time on their

Women Longboard MadnessIt wasn t long after extreme sports became a trend, women got in on the
game. Longboarding is one such trend where a lot of women participate in. Some of these women
make something more of the activity, and turn it into an adventure, like these women. You have to
admit, there s nothing more sexy or endearing than a women bombarding the neighborhood hill on her
longboard, sparking and smoking like Native American Chieftain upon greeting a guest. It s the way

Sheep Is An Important Part Of The Global Agricultural Economy
Introduction
Sheep are an important part of the global agricultural economy. Domestic sheep provide a wide array
of raw materials. Wool is one of the first textiles although in the late 20th century wool prices began to
fall as the result of the popularity and cheap prices for synthetic fabrics . Sheep meat and milk are the
earliest staple proteins consumed by human civilization after the transition from hunting and gathering
to agriculture. Byproducts from the slaughter of sheep are also of value; sheep tallow can be used in
candle and soap making while, sheep bone and cartilage has been used to furnish carved items such as
dice and buttons .
Parasitic nematodes cause diseases of major economic importance in sheep .The lungworm ,
Dictyocaulus filaria , represents one of these nematodes inhabits bronchi and bronchioles and cause
parasitic bronchitis (commonly known as husk) particularly in young sheep ( Holzhauer et al., 2011).
Dictyocaulus filaria has direct life cycle, embryonated eggs are coughed up or swallowed and hatch in
the small intestine then first stage larvae are passed in faeces. Under favorable environmental
conditions, first stage larvae moult to second stage larvae and then infective en sheathed third stage
larvae that actively move from faeces to herbage and are ingested by the grazing sheep. Following
ingestion, third stage larvae ex sheath in the small intestine, penetrate the intestinal wall and enter the
mesenteric lymph nodes. Here, larvae develop,

The Case Of Triple Point Technology
Question 1: In the case of Triple Point Technology, the non cash components serve several important
roles. First, there is considerable uncertainty around the expected growth and future performance of
the company. Consequently, it can be challenging for a buyer and seller to agree on an appropriate
purchase price, given differing views on the future and a buyer s natural uncertainty. Using non cash
components (such as an earn out) can allow for the seller to participate in the optimistic scenario and
help bridge the gap on accepting a lower than desired purchase price. Second, buyers (especially
private equity) do not have the expertise and institutional knowledge to effectively run the target
business following purchase. Therefore, non cash components (earn outs retained common stock) are
a powerful way to align incentives and ensure the sellers have a vested interest in the continued
success of the business and smooth transition. Third, management options create the ability to
incentivize and attract new talent to the business, as Roger s departure will likely create a critical
vacancy to fill. Finally, non cash components (such as a seller note) can also help raise the purchase
price as financing the acquisition of a small business can often times be challenging (especially for the
similar sized strategic buyer in Offer 2). Question 2: In valuing the two offers that TPT received, there
are three main components in which the founders likely place considerable value

1 Integrity: it is an insurance that an asset is reliable, precise and is not altered by unauthorized people.
Deliberate acts (hacking) or accidental (errors) can affect the integrity of various assets. One should
know that the vast majority of impacts on the integrity are due to errors or negligence. To protect the
integrity, general measures are strict access control that allows the manipulation of the resource that an
authorized person has, and the clamping of the possible actions of the user to access a resource (pre

My Memorable Journey
A Memorable Journey With A Friend
On the date of October 27th 2017, me and my friend Tovah were on our way to a cabin in Branson for
her birthday. While we were there we went shopping at Tanger Outlets and we went to The Haunted
Lost Cavern at Top Of The Rock. Now in the essay below you will read about my memorable journey
with my friend Tovah.
It was seven o clock so when we got there so we just watched TV then went to bed. The next day, we
went shopping at Tanger Outlets and while we were there we got some awesome fudge. We went to
Bath and Body and I bought six bottles of hand sanitizer and gave one to Tovah. I also bought a hand
sanitizer holder and it came with two so I gave one to Tovah and I kept one for myself. When we were
done shopping we ate lunch then went back to the cabin. We started a fire in the fireplace but the vent
was closed so the cabin filled up with smoke that made Tovah sleepy so she took a nap.
When it was about nine o clock, we woke her up and we went to Top Of The Rock. We were there to
go to the Haunted Lost Cavern. We only had to wait a little bit until we could get on the bus to go to
the cavern. On the way down a few people scare you. When you get to around the area of the cavern,
people are there so they can take your picture.
When you first get in there s a crazy lady chases you around with a fake leg. After you get past her it
was just a bunch of mechanical things. When you get to another part of the cavern there are sheets

becoming gradually different than any time in her history. Thanks to the radio and its widespread

Futurist Manifesto
An Italian avant garde art movement that took speed, technology and modernity as its inspiration, is
where new ideas were introduced to society. Futurism portrayed the dynamic character of 20th century
life, glorified war and the machine age, and favored the growth of Fascism. Created at the turn of the
twentieth century, the Futurist Manifesto stands out as the announcer of the new artistic movement,
but its significance is much broader than the field of visual culture. It is conceived by Marinetti as a
new force of Italian cultural revival, the one that is tired of stale and unproductive adherence to the
past, and is instead urging for the creation of modern Italy. This new society whose principles should

we empower our brave men and women, to protect us from violent predators. Therefore, the

The Danse dei Chivau Frus appears in the final movement of Suite No.2. The melody taken from
Danse dei Chivau Frus is described as theme B. The theme B begins on bar 21 in D major until bar
100, where theme B ends once. Theme B reappears from bar 117 to bar 124 in B major. It again used
on bar 141 in B major but modulate to ??? in bar 149 and it became D major on bar 175. On bar 17 to
bar 246 maintain the duple meter in 2/4. The movement begins in fast allegro dance like rhythm in
ppp. Flute and clarinet play theme B in unison with the string accompaniment emphasizing the down
beat, making the strong feeling of two on bar 20 to bar 84. Strings are now added to the melody and
brass enters by playing bass in tremolo. Variations of instrumentations can be seen from here.
Tambourin keeps the eighth note whenever theme B is used. For example on bar 17, it emphasizes the
first beat by putting an accent theret, which also makes the strong feeling of two. String instruments
keeps the first beet form bar 21 to bar 36, and from bar 37, horn, bassoon, and low string instrument
and violin alternatively play first and second beat, which makes more duple feeling. Theme B2

Romantic Love Story
Many people would want to hear about a romantic story of a girl and boy falling in love and living
happily ever after but in this case I decided to talk about a relationship that does have a happily ever
after but with a twist. I will be talking about a love relationship in the show pretty little liars between
the characters Emily and Allison. Emily is one of the main characters in the show and she is 23 years
old and works as a swim team coach, Alison is the main character of the show and she is also 23 years
old and she works at rosewood high school as an English teacher. Before they were in a romantic
relationship they started off as best friends in highschool with 3 other girls in the circle. The history of
their relationship goes all the way back to the first season in the show, where Emily is struggling with
her identity and can t express her feelings for Alison because of the fear of people knowing she is into
girls, Alison and Emily are in the library together and Emily makes a move but Allison does not
respond instead she leads her on. One thing we need to understand about this relationship is Alison
was not such a great person in highschool she was hated by everyone because of how rude and evil
she was but as I get further into this relationship she does change and become a better person. In high
school Alison was declared dead by the whole town and Emily was the most heart broken out of all

The Walking Dead and the Social Contract
The award winning television show, The Walking Dead, is used as a tool to explain the complexities
of the human behavior when faced with the need for natural survival. The show depicts the world after
a zombie apocalypse. Society and government as we know it had been torn down. The show is an
example of what lengths people would do to survive. Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, and Jean Jacques
Rousseau are some political philosophers who explain their versions of how political societies form
and how societies stayed together when they follow their versions of the laws of nature. Thomas
Hobbes ideas of the social contract and the state of nature ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rick s wife and son, and other survivors are living outside the city in a small camp. Rick s best friend,
Shane, is the unofficial sovereign. He steps into power because he is the most strong and able; he is
the natural leader. The others in camp follow Shane s judgement and rule. When Rick gets to camp, it
is apparent who leads. When other s get into an argument they go to Shane for the final judgement
call. Clearly they are all following the sovereign in benefit for the greater good. I believe a true
Hobbesian society is what has formed. The group has surrendered freedom and submitted to the
impromptu authority; exchanging their freedom for protection.
The other philosophers, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Locke have both explained the concept of giving
up certain rights in return for the protections and benefits that come along with societies. The
reasoning behind The Walking Dead being Hobbesian over a Lockean or Rousseauian deals with the
idea of rebellion. In a Hobbesian society, the idea of an uprising is unjust. One may not revolt against
the government because even the concept of an overthrow imbalances the scales and causes a civil
unrest

2014 Census estimates. As noted in earlier statistics, North Florence is a poor area where the majority
of households have a low socioeconomic status. The lack of job opportunities in North Florence, a
slow housing market in the area are the causes of poverty in the community and creates a disadvantage
for some of our students. I have spoken with the principal, Sharon Dixon, on numerous occasions
about the effects of this on our students. Many of the students come to the school with a lower
vocabulary than students from wealthier parts of Florence. Much of that has to do with the lack of
education of the parents. Many hold high school diplomas, but only a few of our parents hold college
degrees. The education level of the parent is a factor in the preparation of children for school. A lot of
the families also receive government assistance and do not have access to technology or extra learning
opportunities. Many parents work multiple jobs or shift jobs and do not always have the time to help
their students academically. This puts the children behind before they even begin. North Vista has
some of the lowest test scores in the district, but the principal has been working closely with

How To A Mouse By Robert Burns Inspired The Title Of Mice...
Response Task 2
The Title
The 1785 poem To a Mouse by Robert Burns inspired the title of John Steinbeck s 1937 novella Of
Mice and Men. These two texts carry common theme, allowing clear similarities to be drawn between
them.
In relation to the poem, Steinbeck s character Lennie represents both mouse and man. He is the man in
terms of his physical strength and characteristics but the mouse in terms of his mental capabilities,
simple desires and simple understanding of the world.
Like the man, Lennie s actions/brute force result in unintended harm. This is evident through Lennie s
encounters first with the pup and later with Curley s wife. It is also demonstrated anecdotally with
tales of unfortunate mice from Lennie s childhood.

The Spectrophotometer Determinationof Iron in Teff
Introduction The research question is: the spectrophotometer determination of iron in teff and a
measure of the bio availability to suggest ways in which bio availability or absorption is increased and
consequently anemia decreased.
Iron is one of the most important elements that is needed by different living organisms. One of its
functions is to control cell growth and aid in differentiation of cells. However, one of its most
important responsibilities is found in hemoglobin. which is involved in allowing oxygen transport in
portions of the blood. Iron is available in two oxidation states: Fe2+ and Fe3+. The one that is readily
absorbed in the human body is Fe2+. Thus in this extended essay, I will focus on the concentration of
Fe2+ in four cereals teff, wheat, maize and sorghum. Limited amounts of absorption of Fe2+ in the
human body causes iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency anemia is when a person has a red blood
cell count that is less than normal or when there are few hemoglobin molecules in each red blood cell.
Consequences and effect of this to humans could be fatigue, headaches, palpitations, lethargy and etc.
One of the causes of iron deficiency anemia is the bio availability of many grains and legumes. The
less bio available or in other words the less absorbed the nutrients of the cereals we eat are, the
prospect of iron deficiency anemia occurring becomes higher. I will show this need of Iron in the
blood by first measuring the iron contents of the four

Baha I Faith In Religion
The religion Baha ism was founded by Bahá u lláh in 1863. This religion began in Iran and now has
approximately five million followers from around the world. The basic premise of the Baha i Faith is
that all the religions of the world come from the same source and have value. The reason the Baha i
Faith has grown to become a relatively large religion is most likely due to the central teaching that all
people are created equal regardless of race or ethnicity. This belief will likely make the Baha i Faith
more relevant and will allow it to continue to grow.
Sikhism is a religion practiced primarily in India and is one of the largest religions in the world in

Symbolism In Wag The Dog
Representations of people and politics often reveal either the best or worst of our world.
How is this communicated in the texts you have studied? In your response, consider the motivations
driving the events in your texts.
Representations of people and politics reveals how cynical political agendas combined with public
passivity brings out the worst of our world. This is evident in Barry Levinson s 1997 filmic
representation of the fractured democratic system in Wag the Dog. Through filmic medium, omission
and symbolism, it reveals the disjunction between the belligerent appearance of politics and its dark
reality that uses mediated rhetoric to manipulate and endanger its dupable public in order to further
personal agendas. Thus, both composers utilise their representations to reveal and caution against the
unscrupulous political foundation of our society.
Levinson s representation reveals our society s corrupted political enterprise that manipulates the
public through fabricated media campaigns. In fact, Wag the Dog s plot revolves around the
commercial construction of a false war concocted by collusion of political operators like Breann and
Hollywood with the purpose of distracting the American public from their President s sex scandal.
Symbolically, Breann s decision to turn to Hollywood in the midst of a political crisis suggests that the
media form holds more power than the government. This power is reflective of Levinson s context
where pervasive 24 hour news

United States Iranian Negotiations
The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action has been regarded as the biggest diplomatic failure in the
United States history. While this seems to be an over sensationalized statement, analyzing the dispute
system design, cross cultural negotiation, and resistance points of the deal, may shed further insight on
the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and how the United States resolves conflict with Middle
Eastern nations.
Historical Context
The relations between the United State s and Iran were amicable throughout the post World War II. In
entering the Cold War, the United States negotiated the Baghdad Pact in which an alliance between,
Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan was formed. During this era, President Nixon encouraged the Shah of Iran to
develop a nuclear program and provided the funding to Iran s energy sector. The United States
maintained a close partnership with Iran until, the Islamic Revolution in February of 1979. The
revolution overthrew the Shah of Iran and Ruhollah Khomeini became the new supreme leader of
Iran. Immediately following the revolution, Iran engaged in a war against Iraq in the early 1980s. With
a new balance of power, tensions grew between the U.S. and Iran. During this time, Iran held 52
Americans hostage in an attempt to negotiate with the United States; however, after the Iranian
hostage crisis, the United States no longer saw Iran as an ally.

Essay On Kate Hudson
Cancer has taken over as the media s darling disease for the past few decades. The national attention
has catapulted the funding for cancer research with events such as Relay for Life and the Susan G.
Komen Race for the Cure. Even professional athletes are wearing ribbons and dying their hair in
support of loved ones who have fought the disease. This has led to revolutionary cancer treatments
that have caused morbidity and mortality for most cancers to plummet. Nowhere is this more evident

Theme Of Prejudice In Pride And Prejudice
In contrast, Mrs. Bennet views the same subject oppositely. A lady s imagination is very rapid; it
jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment, (Austen 35). She wishes her
daughter to become the matter of the society s interest, and bask all the external glory. The marriage
with Mr. Darcy tickles Mrs. Bennet s thought into associating it her daughter s life with fame. There is
no evidence of her concerning about Elizabeth s emotional assurance toward the marriage. Oh! My
sweetest Lizzy! How rich and how great you will be! What pin money, what jewels, what carriages
you will have!...Ten thousand a year! (Austen 535). In a period where a divorce was inconceivable, he
had no choice but to deal with his own mistakes. Prejudice is a risky act that disables one s ability to
distinguish the truth.
True love arises when one eliminates the pride and prejudice. Throughout the novel, it was rare to
pinpoint a couple, who married out of true love. Both males and females were in a constant
suppression by the societal standards. The rare exception is Elizabeth and Darcy. Initially, neither of
Elizabeth nor Darcy were moral. As the story progressed, they gradually dismissed one s ill habits
pride and prejudice. In case of Elizabeth, she experienced a life changing moment, going inside out.
At the ball, Elizabeth had a one dimensional judgment. Her interaction with Darcy was highly
dependent on prejudice. It became furthermore intense as George Wickham s ill rumours supported
her poor judgment skills. She was not able to be filter the information she percieved through Wickham
in a deeper level. She only relied on the external elements, such as what she heard and saw. Darcy, on
the other hand, was drowned in arrogance, and also believed in the reliability of prejudice. At their
first meeting Darcy bluntly commented on Elizabeth s appearance.``She is tolerable; but not
handsome enough to tempt me; (Austen 13). Accordingly, Darcy s narcissism offended Elizabeth,
causing her to develop a stronger feeling of hatred. It was only when Darcy broke the distorted wall
between them, and approached her with a pure letter. The letter, composed of Darcy s honest reflection
on his internal life, enlightened

Junior Shifter Karting Series Trials
As I negotiated the unbalanced concrete at the exit of turn 10, I was distracted by a burst of wheelspin
and quickly remembered that I did not shift into 4th. As I reached for the shift lever, another burst of
wheelspin hit me and with no physical force on the wheel, my kart jerked to the right, locked all four
wheels and spun right into the gravel trap. I got out, angry at myself for making such a stupid mistake
that could have easily been avoided. But in the end, I knew I was not going to improve my time
anyway. I was down on my split times by almost a second, and there was no recovering from that in 2
corners. Leguna Seca was a very unforgiving track. In my opinion, the worse the WKA could have
chosen for its Junior Shifter Karting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Flashing back to my younger days, I watched Lewis Hamilton ever since he joined Mclaren in 2007. A
year later, he would be world Champion. Thats your helmet? He asked, pointing to my bright yellow
helmet I had based after Ayrton Senna s helmet. Yeah So your kart number 14? I nodded as we both
walked slowly to the timing station. We were engaged in small talk when we arrived and looked at the
times. I was still 5 tenths off the pole time. As I swore under my breath, Lewis gestured me to walk
with him towards the track. It was 12 p.m, so the track was closed for a hour for lunch. I walked the
track with him, and he explained to me how he was successful on this track in his Formula 3.5 years.
Most corners are flat out, but the ones that arnt you must throw the car in. Remember, the exit is more
important than the entrance. Never sacrifice your racing line to overtake someone. Their was about an
hour more of driving theory but, in all honesty, I didn t remember most of it, as I was still trying to
accept the fact that I was getting driving lessons from Lewis Hamilton. We walked back to the pit
straight and Lewis helped me adjust my engine and chassis for the track. As I was rolling out the the
track, Lewis screamed one more tip through the roaring engine. Hop the kerbs! . With that in mind I
went out to the track, ready for a master class hotlap. I eased the throttle out of the final corner,
making sure I didn t

Descriptive Essay On Softball
Laura is a nice, shy, smart girl and she loves to play all kinds of sports like volleyball and basketball,
but her most favorite sport of all is softball. Today is Laura s first softball game she is excited and
nervous at the same time, and all day all she could think about is what if I throw the ball the wrong
way or what if I make a terrible throw or can t catch the ball when the ball was being thrown right to
her glove. Laura is also thinking about all of the good things that could happen too like she gets the
last out or she scores a homerun with the bases loaded. With all of these emotions Laura is having a
hard time concentrating at school and doesn t get a to good of a grade on an assignment. Then when
one of Laura s friends Riley walks up to her to ask Laura what is wrong she said that the same thing
was happening to her to so that made them both feel better about everything knowing that they weren t
the only ones feeling that way. When school was over Riley went over to Laura s house so they could
practice a little bit before their game and they both practiced really well and that made them more
confident and ready to play but Laura was still nervous because she didn t want to do anything really
embarrassing at their game in Trenton. It has been an hour and Laura and Riley were off to the
Trenton field to play softball. When they finally arrived they were the first ones there because Laura s
dad was one of the coaches, so they went down to look at the field and it

An Experiment On Social Media
If someone signed up for an experiment to just spend 500 dollars for an entire day they would never
regret it, right? Typically most people would be up to the idea and the sign up sheets would fill up
quick, even though there is a slight catch. The participant cannot be in contact with anyone they know,
which includes using social media. In hindsight, signing up for this experiment seemed like the perfect
opportunity to be alone and spend money on things like a movie ticket and popcorn, cute clothes, and
maybe even starbucks; however, I was sadly very wrong. The experiment started on February 14th and
I was excited to roam around Phoenix and spend money for the sake of psychological science. When
the researchers of different genders came to pick me up from my house I noticed that they had unique
name tags, instead of saying their names the name tags said researcher one and researcher two .
Mrs. Nyx? said researcher two as the female researcher detached her pen from her clipboard and
clicked the black ball point pen.
Yes, I replied while I stepped out of my house and lock the front door behind me. Both of the
researchers nodded and turned to walk towards their car while I followed behind. The male researcher
climbed into the front seat while researcher one sat next to me so she can debrief me for the
experiment.
During this experiment you are aware that you can t be in contact with anyone that you know
including family and friends, asked researcher two as

Sartre
As stated by Sartre, man has the choice to make all of their decisions freely, but are still condemned to
be free, because we were thrust upon this earth without any choice and forced to exist. Since everyone
was placed on this earth without our choosing, we still have to choose and act freely from any type of
situation we may end up in. Because of that, every choice we make and the resulting circumstance that
may come with it is the result of us being free and having those choices to make. The choice to have a
choice is really the only thing we cannot choose. In his book, Sartre says, Not only are we condemned
to be free because we did not choose to exist, but we are also condemned to be free because we are the
only thing that exists that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are no sets of ethics, morals, or eternal values that we can base our entire lives on. The phrases,
I can t or, I must in regards to doing anything since we have the ultimate choice in anything and
nothing is ever truly forced upon us. Sartre believes that we should never put the blame for anything
that we do on anyone else but ourselves. Even though we may believe that the consequence of our
action could be blamed on someone other than us, it always ends up being up to us, whether we want
it to or not. This specific view that Sartre has on the responsibility of our actions being on ourselves
conflicts with the Catholic philosophy. Sartre says that our reasons for picking one action over another
being what God wanted for us or that it was in someone s nature to do so are false. To him, it is our
responsibility. As we live our lives and go through the experiences that we do, we must create our own
meaning. To him, that is the meaning of existence. We are the ones who are held responsible for our
destiny and how we live our lives and shape ourselves is all derived from what we make of ourselves.
On a bit of a different note, Sartre does believe that this freedom of choice that we have can be seen as
somewhat of a curse. This curse is prevalent when dissecting Sartre s phrase, condemned to be

Applying A Cellular Tower On The Proposed Site
sole authority to grant or deny the special use permit to allow them to construct a cellular tower on the
proposed site. The Board of County Commissioners, sitting as the Zoning Board of Appeals, has the
authority to approve the zoning variance. The zoning variance will be presented to the Board in
December if the special use permit is approved. Ms. Wallingford Ingo stated a notion was made in the
recommendation section of staff s review. She stated there is a process that requires a
telecommunications carrier to co locate on other towers before applying for a new special use permit
for a tower. A telecommunications tower cannot be built in excess of the maximum height limitation
imposed within a specific zone. As a matter of clarification, Mr. Powell has indicated that they have
placed this tower where the County directed them to do so. She had several conversations over the
duration of three to four months with one of Mr. Powell s colleagues relative to the location of the
proposed tower and staff s concerns relative to the placement of such. When the applicant submitted
the special use permit application, the zoning maps indicated the proposed site was in the A 2 Zone
District. Upon review of the application, it was determined that the zone district line on the digital
map, which are not the official zoning maps, was A 3. This is when the height limitation came into
effect. The initial analysis of the placement of the facility was based on a zone district

Importance Of Anglo-Saxon Loyalty In Beowulf
The Anglo Saxons were an interesting people that were loyal to their lord. Each group had a leader
that commanded and directed the warriors. Loyalty was an important part of the Anglo Saxons culture.
In Beowulf, the Anglo Saxons were expected to remain loyal to their leader as he was responsible for
protecting them in battle. The leaders of the Anglo Saxons were admired for their courage and
determination as they guided the group of warriors in their endeavors. In The Wife s Lament , the wife
remains loyal to her lord even though she is treated harshly by him. She chased after him when he left,
and continued to love him after he ostracized her. As evident in Beowulf and The Wife s Lament , the
Anglo Saxons greatly relied on a noble leader to protect them from danger and direct them towards
success; as a result, the followers were loyal to their lord by showing reverence and admiration as well
as honouring their legacy, even if the lord neglected to fulfill his duties. Throughout their journey and
various battles, Beowulf and Wiglaf remained loyal to their lords. While in Denmark, Beowulf
remains loyal to his king, Higlac, and the other warriors remain loyal to Beowulf. During his formal
boast, Beowulf told his men that my hands shall fight for me as My lord Higlac, might think less of
me (246 270) if he fought with weapons. Beowulf wanted to impress his lord and not disappoint him
in battle. He feared that he would bring shame to his lord if he fought with weapons or

Pros And Cons Of Sleep Apnoea
TREATMENTS OF SLEEP APNOEA Sleep Apnoea Occurs when the walls of your throat come
together during sleep blocking off the airway above your trachea. CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway
Pressure) is considered to be the most effective treatment of sleep apnoea for the reason that it reduces
night time sleeplessness as compared to oral appliance. In the discussion below will consider the
argument for the treatments of sleep apnoea and which treatments is the most effective whether CPAP
or Oral Appliance. CPAP therapy is been considered as the most common effective treatment for sleep
apnoea in adults. A CPAP is a machine which uses a mask that fits over the throat. It gently blows air
into the throat and the pressure from the air helps to keep the airway open while asleep (Moses, n.d).
However, some patients of sleep apnoea still find it uncomfortable with CPAP therapy so they tend to
use oral appliance therapy as it has aside effect which causes dry mouth, but it comes with a
humidifier which adds moisture to the air as it flows and also used for patients with mild to moderate
sleep apnoea who do not respond to CPAP therapy (Downey, 2014). Therefore, the use of CAP
therapy as a treatment for sleep apnoea seems to be effective for moderate to severe sleep apnoea. ...

CPAP therapy eradicates breathing stoppages caused by sleep apnoea, so that patients will stop
snoring or unusual congestion noises in their sleep (Sleepeducation.com, 2014).Patients will be able to
sleep throughout the night without the waking disturbances. Nevertheless ,due to poor mask fittings as
complains from some patients, oral appliance is considered to be convenient and easy to wear because
it only takes few days to get used to it(AADSM, 2014) but it s limits varies from mild to moderate.
Henceforth CPAP suggests the smoothness of sleep for patients with sleep apnoea in moderate to
severe

This analysis will be limited to some certain main aspects because of the company s high complexity.
The outcomes will help to understand the strategic position of the organisation.
Inbound logistics, operations, outbound logistics, marketing sales and services are primary activities
of the value chain and will therefore be discussed first. Supporting activities such as procurement,
technology development, human resource management and firm infrastructure refer to all of the

Inbound logistics
A specific German characteristic of its supplier system is the so called Automotive Cluster. A cluster is
a concentration of institutions and companies in a particular branch of industry within a particular
area. Companies can highly benefit from this factor through sharing competences, short delivery times
and close co operations. These are major influences on BMW s inbound logistics, meaning that most
of its aspects, like storing and distributing, are outsourced to their suppliers.
Two major clusters of BMW are Leipzig and the so called Automobildreieck (automotive triangular)
which includes the cities Dingolfing/Landshut Regensburg Ingolstadt. According to a research of the
IWD (Cologne) about 20.7% of all social insurance registered employees work for the automotive

  • 2. Essay about Systems Theory Systems approach is based on the fundamental principle that all aspects of a human problem should be treated together in a rational manner (Healy, 2005). I have divided this essay into relevant sections that cover an overview of systems ideas, general systems theory and ecological systems theory. This assignment will also include Germain and Gittermans life model, and it will be related back to the case study that has been provided. Limitations of systems theory will also be discussed. Systems ideas is referring to three different types of systems, each created in a different era; general systems theory, ecosystem perspectives and complex systems theory (Healy, 2005). Systems Ideas in social work originated with general systems theory ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Healy stated the original proponents of general systems theory used biological terminology to explain client needs, situations and the purpose of social work practice (2005). The term that is applied for systems theory is for all systems in general. All systems have boundaries within which both physical and mental energy is exchanged. There are two types of systems that this applies to. Closed systems have no interchange across the boundaries whereas open systems have permeable boundaries or guidelines but there is also some room for movement, within reason. With the second wave of systems theory came about the idea of the ecological perspective, named ecological systems theory. It is the combining of general systems theory with an ecological approach. Ecological systems theory uses ideas that link together four different social systems that surround an individual; these systems are known as, micro systems, meso systems, exo systems and macro systems (Healy, 2005). The ecological model is used as a tool. These systems are very structured and use certain processes as guideline. Different processing concepts are used in systems theory. These concepts explain how the system works. Input is the energy being fed into the system across boundaries. Throughput is how the energy is used within the system and output is the ... The Routine Activities Theory states is a view, that crime is a normal function of the routine activities of modern living. (Siegel Welsh, 2017, p. 64) Basically stated, the Routine Activities Theory developed by Cohen and Felson ins 1979, In order for a criminal opportunity to develop, a motivated offender, suitable target, and a lack of capable guardianship must converge in time and space. (Drawve, Thomas, Walker, 2013, p. 450) So, the above information holds true first parental supervision that is capable will likely keep children from offending because they will get caught. Best stated Making sure that we do not make ourselves suitable targets like leaving cash out or just not monitoring your goods and property can help juveniles make the choice to offend. • 5. Sheep Is An Important Part Of The Global Agricultural Economy Introduction Sheep are an important part of the global agricultural economy. Domestic sheep provide a wide array of raw materials. Wool is one of the first textiles although in the late 20th century wool prices began to fall as the result of the popularity and cheap prices for synthetic fabrics . Sheep meat and milk are the earliest staple proteins consumed by human civilization after the transition from hunting and gathering to agriculture. Byproducts from the slaughter of sheep are also of value; sheep tallow can be used in candle and soap making while, sheep bone and cartilage has been used to furnish carved items such as dice and buttons . Parasitic nematodes cause diseases of major economic importance in sheep .The lungworm , Dictyocaulus filaria , represents one of these nematodes inhabits bronchi and bronchioles and cause parasitic bronchitis (commonly known as husk) particularly in young sheep ( Holzhauer et al., 2011). Dictyocaulus filaria has direct life cycle, embryonated eggs are coughed up or swallowed and hatch in the small intestine then first stage larvae are passed in faeces. Under favorable environmental conditions, first stage larvae moult to second stage larvae and then infective en sheathed third stage larvae that actively move from faeces to herbage and are ingested by the grazing sheep. • 6. The Case Of Triple Point Technology Question 1: In the case of Triple Point Technology, the non cash components serve several important roles. First, there is considerable uncertainty around the expected growth and future performance of the company. Consequently, it can be challenging for a buyer and seller to agree on an appropriate purchase price, given differing views on the future and a buyer s natural uncertainty. Using non cash components (such as an earn out) can allow for the seller to participate in the optimistic scenario and help bridge the gap on accepting a lower than desired purchase price. Second, buyers (especially private equity) do not have the expertise and institutional knowledge to effectively run the target business following purchase. Therefore, non cash components (earn outs retained common stock) are a powerful way to align incentives and ensure the sellers have a vested interest in the continued success of the business and smooth transition. Third, management options create the ability to incentivize and attract new talent to the business, as Roger s departure will likely create a critical vacancy to fill. Finally, non cash components (such as a seller note) can also help raise the purchase price as financing the acquisition of a small business can often times be challenging (especially for the similar sized strategic buyer in Offer 2). Question 2: In valuing the two offers that TPT received, there are three main components in which the founders likely place considerable value ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

When we were done shopping we ate lunch then went back to the cabin. Social Contract In The Walking Dead Gabrielle Rodriguez Professor Dyer POLS 360 November 13, 2017 The Walking Dead and the Social Contract The award winning television show, The Walking Dead, is used as a tool to explain the complexities of the human behavior when faced with the need for natural survival. The show depicts the world after a zombie apocalypse. Society and government as we know it had been torn down. The show is an example of what lengths people would do to survive. When Rick gets to camp, it is apparent who leads. When other s get into an argument they go to Shane for the final judgement call. Clearly they are all following the sovereign in benefit for the greater good. I believe a true Hobbesian society is what has formed. The group has surrendered freedom and submitted to the impromptu authority; exchanging their freedom for protection. The other philosophers, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Locke have both explained the concept of giving up certain rights in return for the protections and benefits that come along with societies. The reasoning behind The Walking Dead being Hobbesian over a Lockean or Rousseauian deals with the idea of rebellion. In a Hobbesian society, the idea of an uprising is unjust. Based on the information gathered from the City Data website, the average home value in North Florence is $72,000. The average home value of the city of Florence is $151,500 according to the 2014 Census estimates. As noted in earlier statistics, North Florence is a poor area where the majority of households have a low socioeconomic status. The lack of job opportunities in North Florence, a slow housing market in the area are the causes of poverty in the community and creates a disadvantage for some of our students. I have spoken with the principal, Sharon Dixon, on numerous occasions about the effects of this on our students. Many of the students come to the school with a lower vocabulary than students from wealthier parts of Florence. Much of that has to do with the lack of education of the parents. Many hold high school diplomas, but only a few of our parents hold college degrees. The education level of the parent is a factor in the preparation of children for school. A lot of the families also receive government assistance and do not have access to technology or extra learning opportunities. Many parents work multiple jobs or shift jobs and do not always have the time to help their students academically. This puts the children behind before they even begin. • 18. The Spectrophotometer Determinationof Iron in Teff Introduction The research question is: the spectrophotometer determination of iron in teff and a measure of the bio availability to suggest ways in which bio availability or absorption is increased and consequently anemia decreased. Iron is one of the most important elements that is needed by different living organisms. One of its functions is to control cell growth and aid in differentiation of cells. However, one of its most important responsibilities is found in hemoglobin. which is involved in allowing oxygen transport in portions of the blood. Iron is available in two oxidation states: Fe2+ and Fe3+. The one that is readily absorbed in the human body is Fe2+. Thus in this extended essay, I will focus on the concentration of Fe2+ in four cereals teff, wheat, maize and sorghum. Limited amounts of absorption of Fe2+ in the human body causes iron deficiency anemia. Iron deficiency anemia is when a person has a red blood cell count that is less than normal or when there are few hemoglobin molecules in each red blood cell. Consequences and effect of this to humans could be fatigue, headaches, palpitations, lethargy and etc. One of the causes of iron deficiency anemia is the bio availability of many grains and legumes. The less bio available or in other words the less absorbed the nutrients of the cereals we eat are, the prospect of iron deficiency anemia occurring becomes higher. The basic premise of the Baha i Faith is that all the religions of the world come from the same source and have value. The reason the Baha i Faith has grown to become a relatively large religion is most likely due to the central teaching that all people are created equal regardless of race or ethnicity. This belief will likely make the Baha i Faith more relevant and will allow it to continue to grow. • 20. Symbolism In Wag The Dog Representations of people and politics often reveal either the best or worst of our world. How is this communicated in the texts you have studied? In your response, consider the motivations driving the events in your texts. Representations of people and politics reveals how cynical political agendas combined with public passivity brings out the worst of our world. This is evident in Barry Levinson s 1997 filmic representation of the fractured democratic system in Wag the Dog. Through filmic medium, omission and symbolism, it reveals the disjunction between the belligerent appearance of politics and its dark reality that uses mediated rhetoric to manipulate and endanger its dupable public in order to further personal agendas. Thus, both composers utilise their representations to reveal and caution against the unscrupulous political foundation of our society. Levinson s representation reveals our society s corrupted political enterprise that manipulates the public through fabricated media campaigns. In fact, Wag the Dog s plot revolves around the commercial construction of a false war concocted by collusion of political operators like Breann and Hollywood with the purpose of distracting the American public from their President s sex scandal. Symbolically, Breann s decision to turn to Hollywood in the midst of a political crisis suggests that the media form holds more power than the government. This power is reflective of Levinson s context where pervasive 24 hour news ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The United States maintained a close partnership with Iran until, the Islamic Revolution in February of 1979. The revolution overthrew the Shah of Iran and Ruhollah Khomeini became the new supreme leader of Iran. Immediately following the revolution, Iran engaged in a war against Iraq in the early 1980s. With a new balance of power, tensions grew between the U.S. and Iran. During this time, Iran held 52 Americans hostage in an attempt to negotiate with the United States; however, after the Iranian hostage crisis, the United States no longer saw Iran as an ally. • 26. Theme Of Prejudice In Pride And Prejudice In contrast, Mrs. Bennet views the same subject oppositely. A lady s imagination is very rapid; it jumps from admiration to love, from love to matrimony in a moment, (Austen 35). She wishes her daughter to become the matter of the society s interest, and bask all the external glory. The marriage with Mr. Darcy tickles Mrs. Bennet s thought into associating it her daughter s life with fame. There is no evidence of her concerning about Elizabeth s emotional assurance toward the marriage. Oh! My sweetest Lizzy! How rich and how great you will be! What pin money, what jewels, what carriages you will have!...Ten thousand a year! (Austen 535). In a period where a divorce was inconceivable, he had no choice but to deal with his own mistakes. Prejudice is a risky act that disables one s ability to distinguish the truth. True love arises when one eliminates the pride and prejudice. Throughout the novel, it was rare to pinpoint a couple, who married out of true love. Both males and females were in a constant suppression by the societal standards. The rare exception is Elizabeth and Darcy. Initially, neither of Elizabeth nor Darcy were moral. As the story progressed, they gradually dismissed one s ill habits pride and prejudice. In case of Elizabeth, she experienced a life changing moment, going inside out. At the ball, Elizabeth had a one dimensional judgment. Her interaction with Darcy was highly dependent on prejudice. It became furthermore intense as George Wickham s ill rumours supported her poor judgment skills. She was not able to be filter the information she percieved through Wickham in a deeper level. She only relied on the external elements, such as what she heard and saw. Darcy, on the other hand, was drowned in arrogance, and also believed in the reliability of prejudice. At their first meeting Darcy bluntly commented on Elizabeth s appearance.``She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me; (Austen 13). Accordingly, Darcy s narcissism offended Elizabeth, causing her to develop a stronger feeling of hatred. It was only when Darcy broke the distorted wall between them, and approached her with a pure letter. The letter, composed of Darcy s honest reflection on his internal life, enlightened ... Sartre As stated by Sartre, man has the choice to make all of their decisions freely, but are still condemned to be free, because we were thrust upon this earth without any choice and forced to exist. Since everyone was placed on this earth without our choosing, we still have to choose and act freely from any type of situation we may end up in. Because of that, every choice we make and the resulting circumstance that may come with it is the result of us being free and having those choices to make. The choice to have a choice is really the only thing we cannot choose. Sartre believes that we should never put the blame for anything that we do on anyone else but ourselves. Even though we may believe that the consequence of our action could be blamed on someone other than us, it always ends up being up to us, whether we want it to or not. This specific view that Sartre has on the responsibility of our actions being on ourselves conflicts with the Catholic philosophy. Sartre says that our reasons for picking one action over another being what God wanted for us or that it was in someone s nature to do so are false. To him, it is our responsibility. As we live our lives and go through the experiences that we do, we must create our own meaning. To him, that is the meaning of existence. We are the ones who are held responsible for our destiny and how we live our lives and shape ourselves is all derived from what we make of ourselves. On a bit of a different note, Sartre does believe that this freedom of choice that we have can be seen as somewhat of a curse.
