Humic substances have a high anion exchange capacity which allows them to hold nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus in the soil and prevent them from leaching. There are three different fractions of humic substances generally referred to as humic acid, fulvic acid, and humin. In this webinar, John describes the roles of these three fractions, how manufactured humic acids and fulvic acids are produced, and where and how to use them for the greatest crop response. John also describes HumaCarb, AEA’s humic acid product, why it is more effective than other humic acids, and how to use it.
