Monitoring Performance And The Conditions Of Machines
Condition monitoring as a technique to monitor the performance and the conditions of machines is
used extensively in factories. Although condition monitoring has established since 1960 s, it is still
being develop in parallel with the advances in transducers and computer technology [1]. The benefit of
condition monitoring is to minimize unplanned maintenance of machinery as well as improves the
reliability and safety. In recent year, wired online condition monitoring (CM) systems have been
applied in many industrial machines. Because the systems relies on different types of cables for field
applications, the installation, the maintenance and cost become the major obstacles of their wide
applications [2],[3]. Remote condition monitoring ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although this method is low compared to modern condition monitoring techniques, it needs high skills
based on long experiences. The findings drawn by different examiners are sometimes not the same,
because of different personal skills and individual experiences [4]. 1 2 2 Monitoring of Machinery
Parameters This kind of condition monitoring is sometimes called trend monitoring which is another
useful means to identify machine abnormalities. For instance, pressure, current and voltage are good
examples of parameters which can be monitored to notice the changing in machines characteristics.
This monitoring method uses periodic measurements of a monitored parameter and implements the
data collected against time. Generally, any machine has a period of time before stop called early life
which is the period from the operation till it decays to the normal life period. Typically the amplitude
of parameters is high at the starting however it decreases rapidly to normal levels. The second one is
the normal life which is the period needed to perform a specific function. One of the maintenance
objectives is to maintain this period for as long as possible [6]. 1 2 3 Noise monitoring Noise
monitoring is achieved by measuring and analyzing the noise spectrum [7]. Generally, this

Juvenile Crime Paper
Juvenile Court is a tribunal having special authority to try and pass judgments for crimes committed
by children or adolescents who have not attained the age of maturity, generally defined as persons
under the age of 18 and above the age of 10. Adult Court is a court of law where adults can be tried,
and if convicted, face adult punishment such as probation, adult prison, or even the death penalty.
Juvenile cases are handled differently than adult criminal cases. Instead of a criminal district or county
court, juvenile cases are heard by a juvenile court judge. A juvenile who is alleged to have committed
an offense may have their case heard in juvenile ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Roughly half of all juvenile arrests are made for theft, simple assault, drug abuse, disorderly conduct,
and curfew violations, according to the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
Some other crimes that are committed by juveniles are auto theft, DUI, trespassing, underage alcohol
consumption, and property damage. In an average year, only about 3% of cases heard in juvenile court
involved violent offenses like robbery, rape, murder, and aggravated assault. Historically, the vast
majority of juvenile court cases have involved male offenders. Usually between the ages of 14 and 17.
But the number of girls entering the juvenile justice system has been on the rise in recent years, in an
average year, girls accounted for 27% of all juveniles facing proceedings in the juvenile courts in the
United States. Over the last 10 years, there has been a marked increase in the number of crimes
committed by juveniles. The largest increase has been in the number of violent offenses committed.
Motor vehicle theft and property crimes, burglary, and larceny have also increased substantially.
Juveniles are not only committing more crimes, they are more frequently becoming the victim of a
crime, and more and more juveniles are being victimized by assailants armed with firearms.
A criminal record will negatively impact the

Shell Oil and the Exploitation of Nigeria Essays
Shell Oil and the Exploitation of Nigeria
Nigeria has been a country in political turmoil for a long time. The country was created in 1914 under
British colonial rule and at that time it was considered a protectorate. It was not until 1960 that Nigeria
received independence from the United Kingdom. One of Nigeria s problems politically is that it has
over three hundred different ethnic groups. The three largest of these are the Hausa Fulani, Igbo, and
Yoruba. At the time of the independence of Nigeria it was split up into three states with each state
being under the control of one of the major ethnic groups. The natural resources of the other 297
ethnic groups were exploited for the major three groups, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He wrote a Bill of Rights calling for protection of the environment in the Ogoni region and basic
rights for the Ogoni people. His Bill of Rights was completely ignored by the government. He went on
to do peaceful demonstrations against Shell s oil plants where special police forces came in and killed
and injured many Ogoni people. In May 1995 Ken Sao Wiwa and his close MOSOP associates were
accused of the murders of four Ogoni chiefs. Their trial was closed to the public Ken Saro Wiwa s
legal defense resigned saying that the trial was not impartial or independent and no matter what they
would all be found guilty. Ken Saro Wiwa and eight of his close associates were all hanged. Shell has
since spent millions trying to repair the damage they inadvertently caused in Nigeria and the world s
major powers have taken small actions against Nigeria.
Violation of Human Rights, destruction of the environment, and denial of freedom of speech and
congregation are the ethical issues raised in this case. The Human Rights violations are many. The
Nigerian special police force raped, tortured, and murdered hundreds who spoke out against the
tyrannical government. All together they killed 2,000 Ogoni, razed 27 villages and displaced over
80,000 people who fled into the bush as refugees. The oil spills by the Shell Company, the lying of the

Plea Bargaining
Introduction
Much of the criticism leveled at the legal system in general and the criminal justice system in
particular is well deserved, but one feature of the criminal justice system poorly understood and thus
unfairly judged by both the public and the media, is the process of plea bargaining. Because criminal
defendants have no incentive to plead guilty as charged, and because the number of cases that would
otherwise need to be tried vastly exceeds the resources available to try them, plea bargaining is a
strategy for avoiding total gridlock.
Definitions of Plea Bargaining The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Naïve defendants may enter into plea agreements with prosecutors not knowing that they have the
right to litigate fully any charges against them.
However, according to the Fifth and Sixth Amendments of the United States Constitution, no person
shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself (self incrimination), and in all
criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial
jury, to be confronted with witnesses against him.
Advantages of Plea Bargaining There are several advantages for plea bargaining. Some include;
reducing the uncertainties of criminal trials, fewer trials and trial delays, more convictions, and
reducing the costs of trials. Some other advantages of plea bargaining are that victims are spared either
the trauma or inconvenience of testifying, according to the nature of the case, and the prosecution is
spared the risk of acquittal.
Disadvantages of Plea Bargaining The concrete disadvantage is that there is some reduction in the
conviction offense or sentence or both, although the outcomes of responsible plea bargaining are not
dramatically different from probable outcomes absent plea bargaining. The most significant
disadvantage of plea bargaining, however, is the abstract one it involves negotiating with criminals
and rewards their refusal to

What discovery does Jahrling make after testing the blood serum and the cells from the monkey

Dalgard was concerned if anyone switched the samples so he tested them twice, Preston says, He
decided to do the test again. Jahrling discovers that she has been around Ebola. General Russell says,
No, Fred, we re not smoking dope. We ve got an Ebola like virus. We can infer that there is

CDC contains the virus while Army wants to protect and eliminate. This can cause problems with an
outbreak because both the CDC and the army use different strategies to eliminate/control the virus.

Symptoms And Treatment Of The Blood Brain Barrier
There are many expecting mothers who suffer from serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia,
bipolar disorder, or borderline personality disorder that requires they must take antipsychotic drugs to
remain stable. There are different types of antipsychotics like typical and atypical. Typical
antipsychotics are classified as the first generation of antipyschotics. The atypical antipsychotics, the
second generation, are reported to be safer than the typical antipsychotics because they are the newer
form of antipsychotic medication. Even though they are reported to be safer, they still have severe side
effects on the individual consuming it, like tardive dyskinesia, which are uncontrollable movements of
the mouth (McCauley et al., 2009). Some drugs can affect the fetus by transferring to the blood brain
barrier. The blood brain barrier is a permeable barrier that allows some chemicals to pass through. It
separates the circulating blood from the brain extracellular fluid in the central nervous system. The
blood brain barrier also transports molecules to the brain that are essential to function properly, like
glucose and amino acids. Since capillary endothelial cells, which line the whole circulatory system,
form the blood brain barrier the medication could be transported to the fetus. From

The Value Rates Policy ( Nirp ) Which Are Been Adopted...
The measure taken to lower interest rates below zero, constitutes the negative interest rates policy
(NIRP) which are been adopted with a price stability objective. In ensuring stability of prices Central
Banks aim for low inflation rates. Despite, the aim for low inflation, the rates need to be significantly
below but also close to 2 percent. The European Central Bank (ECB) influences inflation by effecting
changes on the interest rates. Even so, despite the risk of conflating the nominal lower bound, not
going below the zero percentage mark and with inflation remaining relatively low the real rates would
then not fall further. In consideration of the fact that the euro area deposit rate was already at the zero
percent mark, and the refinancing rate at 0.25 percent, cutting the refinancing rate will demand a push
the deposit rate to negative territory. Therefore, to sustain the functionality of the money market the
ECB had to push the deposit rate to 0.10 per cent to maintain the corridor after lowering the
refinancing rate to 0.15 percent (Benoit). Subsequently, in January 2016, Bank of Japan (BOJ)
adopted a monetary easing policy imposing negative rates (Kuroda). With Japan looking to encourage
more lending and spur high spending to push inflation the negative interest rate of 0.1 percent was set.
In a 2016 progressive report, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) explains that, when low interest
rates prolong over the long term they reflect diminished

The Ladder Of Love By Alcibiades
In the Symposium, Alcibiades says that Socrates is the only man who has made him feel shame.
Alcibiades shame seems to indicate that he has reflected on his actions, thus has learned something
from Socrates. However, I believe that he is not ascending towards the beautiful nor has he learn
anything from Socrates as his desire takes precedent over love for Beauty. This essay will first analyze
the role of shame as self awareness in the Ladder of Love. Next, through two accounts recalled by
Alcibiades in the Symposium, they will emphasize the importance of shame in the Ladder of Love.
Lastly, the essay will conclude with how shame does not indicate that Alcibiades is ascending towards
the beautiful or has learned anything based on the aforementioned ... Show more content on

Alcibiades pursues Socrates so that Socrates can nurture him to be the best man he can be (Plato,
218d). But Alcibiades can only offer Socrates his physical appearance in exchange for Socrates
knowledge, to which Socrates pointed out that it was not a fair trade as Alcibiades wanted gold in
exchange for bronze (Plato, 218e). Next, Alcibiades claims that he can see the Beauty in Socrates,
describing him as so godlike so bright and beautiful, so utterly amazing (Plato, 217a). But Socrates
pointed out that if Alcibiades can see in Socrates a beauty that is really beyond description , it makes
Alcibiades remarkable good looks pale in comparison (Plato, 218d). At that point of time when
Alcibiades made the offer, he does not have self awareness. What Alcibiades saw in Socrates is the
ability to make himself better, not the divine Beauty itself. Here again it shows that Alcibiades did not
learn from Socrates nor is he ascending towards the beautiful because his desire takes precedent over

Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe
Since its publication in 1719, Robinson Crusoe has served as a popular adventure novel. The overall
content of the story presents itself as nothing more than adventurous, but after a close reading it
becomes clear that the narrative has an underlying message of colonialism. The novel tells the story of
a European man who gradually gains complete control over an island in the Caribbean. The author,
Daniel Defoe, presents colonialism by portraying the protagonist as someone who slowly and
progressively asserts his dominion over the foreign land. In the novel colonialism is clearly reflected
through the relationship between the colonized and the colonizer. It is through Crusoe s interactions
with Friday that multiple allegorical facets of colonialism such as economic power, psychological
domination, and spiritual belief become evident to the reader.
The relationship between Crusoe and Friday shows the relationship of master and slave. Crusoe
metaphorically represents the imperial figure or colonizer while Friday becomes the metaphor for the
colonized. Robinson however does not fall immediately into his role as colonizer he first has to
establish control over the island itself and learn how to survive. This is why he is fearful and hesitant
when he was exceedingly surprised with the print of a man s naked foot on the shore, which was very
plain to be seen on the sand. (133) The first sign of a civilization other than his own troubles Crusoe

entire carp population. With the gradual decline in female carp, less offspring will be produced and
thus more male carp will be present within the population. It is evident that daughterless carp

Marilyn Monroe Theory Essay
Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe was all that we ever needed, an inspirational woman. Although she died over 50
years ago, she is still as much as a role model to what she was to young women in 1962.
When Marilyn was born
Marilyn was born on the 1st of June 1926. Her mother was Gladys Baker and her father was Martin
Edward Mortenson.
Marilyn s Death
Marilyn died on the 5th of August 1962. It was unsure about how she died. Because of that there are
three theories. The first theory is suicide. The cause of Marilyn s death was listed as a probable
suicide, but they never managed to find a suicide note. The second theory is Accidental drug
interaction. It is said that she had developed an addiction to Nembutal so she chose to let her doctor
wear her off the medication by switching to chloral hydrate but some people think that she secretly
continued taking Nembutal. The third theory is murder. It suggests that an individual or group
murdered her to keep her silence as when she met president John.F.Kennedy and his brother Robert
there were rumours of them both having affairs with Marilyn, so they payed someone to kill her so
they could keep their reputation and their careers.
When you think of Marilyn Monroe you might think of her enticing performance of Diamonds are a
girl s best friend from the movie Gentleman prefer blondes. For many women back then and
especially today she is much more than the dumb blondes she played in most of her movies. She was a
role model.
Her Family Life
The Marilyn we all know and love isn t really Marilyn Monroe. Her real name is Norma Jean
Mortenson. She was the girl who had been helplessly abandoned to a number of foster homes by her
mother and never even knew her father. Norma survived being smothered when she was 2 and when
she was 6 she was nearly raped. Later in her life she lived in an LA orphanage, where she earned 5
cents every month for her work in the kitchen. With that money she was forced to give 1 cent to the
nearby church every week.
Her Relationships
Out of the many relationships Marilyn had, her first marriage was with James Dougherty. She was
married to him from 1942 and then in 1946 they divorced. Her second marriage was with Joe
DiMaggio from 1954 to 1955. Her

Sexual Orientation Within America s Most Controversial...
Sexual orientation can be considered as one of America s most controversial topics. Although the
rationale and choice differs from person to person, and is considered to be a private matter of personal
preference, many people have experienced negative backlash and harsh criticism due to their
individual likings. In general, sexual orientation is defined as: a person s sexual identity in relation to
the gender to which they are attracted; the fact of being heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual. While
the definition seems to be straightforward and concise, the subject of sexual orientation encompasses
much more than just the intensity of emotional and erotic attraction and response to members of the

A person s sexual orientation is distinct from a person s gender identity and expression, but without
gender identity and expression, sexual orientation would be hard to distinguish. The term gender
identity, distinct from the term sexual orientation, refers to a person s innate, deeply felt psychological
identification as a man, woman or some other gender, which may or may not correspond to the sex
assigned to them at birth (e.g., the sex listed on their birth certificate). For example take a child who
may be born a hermaphrodite or what is commonly known as an intersex. When birthed this child
would have either male and female sex organs or sexual characteristics. Unlike those who are
heterosexual, homosexual, or even bisexual, an intersexual in my opinion would have the most
difficult time finding their sexual orientation, due to the fact at times they are given a gender identity
based on their genital formation. When in the womb intersex infants can be spotted. The choice is up
to the parent s then if they would like to assign gender to the infant. Some of the following diagnoses
at times seem to be the logical reasons behind assigning gender to the infant. Congenital Adrenal
Hyperplasia (CAH) is an inherited condition that technically can be found at birth and it does not

Is it possible to get stuck on this island? my Mom asked our tour guide with a worried tone while
disembarking a ship which took us to a peaceful, isolated, and small island in the Faroe Islands. This
tiny, microscopic island, that is even hard to spot on a globe, lies between Iceland and Norway. During
our summer vacation, we were planning to get a look at the ancient village with a population of
exactly 11 people, and most importantly, the magnificent puffins. Since this is the only place in the
world where you can get close to them, my family and I were dedicated to doing whatever it takes to
get a slight glimpse. The boat that took us here only made two trips: to take us to the island and to take
us back to the mainland. While adjusting his backpack and grabbing a tall, wooden stick so we can
spot him clearly, our tour guide, Tomas, let out a small laugh.
Oh no, Miss. It has never happened before when a group got stuck. Well, that I know of, so we should
be fine. Besides the weather looks great. said Tomas, who was a citizen of the Faroe Islands. I can tell
he had a sense of pride of his small island he called home and also sense the adventure in his eyes and
I knew I was going to have a exhilarating time with him. When we reached the top of the port, I said
Mom, to calm her down from her uneasy feeling of getting stuck. Why would they send us to an island
that is unsafe for tourists in the first place? Also, many people have been here, like Tomas said, so
what are the chances of us getting stuck? Besides, Mom weren t you the most excited for this very
moment!
My Mom let out a sigh, and I was able to see the tension slowly loosen up. It was true. This was my
Mom s childhood dream: to visit a Nordic country. Hiking up tall, magnificent mountains with a view
of a huge, stormy ocean while daydreaming about the age of the Vikings strong men with legends and
venturesome stories of their own, was something she always wanted to do.
With a rapid tug of my jacket, my younger brother Dmitry, pointed his hand up towards the sky and
exclaimed,
Look, look puffins! As I look up, he was definitely right. There was a huge swarm of them right above
us, flying in all directions like

In the United States, law is either private or public. Private law entails relations of private citizens,
organizations, or both (Tarr, 2014, p. 8). Whereas, public law entails relations amongst the government
and private citizen or organization. As in the case of Emmett L. Till, a young black boy, from Chicago
traveled to Mississippi to spend part of the summer break with family murder for insulting a white
woman by whistling at her (Huston, 2009). Due to the black code laws of the south, insulting a white
person, was a crime (Hussy von Zumbusch, 2015, p. 4). The act of Emmett Till were considered a
violation of criminal law in the state of Mississippi. It was not his act that became the highlight of the

The Historical Existence Of Jesus Essay
Introduction
Some scholars argue that evidence of Jesus of Nazareth s existence can only be found within the
writings of the New Testament. They believe that the New Testament is a biased and unreliable source
for the existence of Jesus. They therefore claim that Jesus did not exist. The historical existence of
Jesus is necessary to demonstrate the truth of Christianity. While Christian scholars do not discount
the reliability of the New Testament as a historical document, they are also able to point to other
historical documents and consider non Christian writings which support the existence of Jesus. In this
paper I will argue that Jesus the Nazarene was an actual, historical person and that this can be
demonstrated through extra Biblical resources.
Tacitus
Tacitus, perhaps the greatest Roman historian, provides us with an account of the fire of Rome.1 It is
within this account, recorded in The Annals, that Tacitus mentions Jesus. In chapters 38 through 45 of
Annals 15, Tacitus discusses how Nero implicated Christians as those responsible for the fire.
But neither human resourcefulness nor the emperor s largesse nor appeasement of the gods could stop
belief in the nasty rumor that an order had been given for the fire. To dispel the gossip Nero therefore
found culprits on whom he inflicted the most exotic punishments. These were people hated for their
shameful offences whom the common people called Christians. The man who gave them their name,
Christus, had been executed

Communication Is The Most Vital Part Of Human...
Non verbal communication is not universal and often misunderstood. While understanding another
culture dialect or accent appears difficult, the effects of non verbal communication, directly or
indirectly, is equally difficult and sometimes convey as offensive to someone from another culture.
Although language has always been the most important form of communicating, this paper will
explain how intercultural communication is the most vital part of human communicating through
channels of different cultures, both verbal and nonverbal.
In order to thoroughly communicate with different cultures it is imperative to understand
intercultural background and traditions. Often referred to as the melting pot,
the United States has many different cultures around the world resides in one central

Africans and Asians (Zimmerman, 2015), the trends and issues of others cultures enlarged

Diversity-Related Issues And Cultural Dilemmas
There are numerous forms of diversity related issues and cultural dilemmas, which afflict individuals
or groups. Both aspects have positives and negatives that may or may not impact others, depending on
perspective. For instance, gender can be thought as biologically and by genitalia who is considered to
be a man and a woman (Kahn, 2015). This definition may not be all encompassing, as it is much more
complex than this. There are individuals that may be transitioning from a man to a woman or vice
versa or may identify as a woman or man. In fact, gender has become the center of controversy, for
individuals that are transitioning and respecting their right to utilize the appropriate restroom in public.
Therefore, this affects individuals that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How America Treats Other Countries
In 1776, the United States of America gained its independence from Great Britain. At this time,
America was a small, developing country. Flash forward 239 years, America is one of the world s
most powerful and influential countries. How does the world view this powerful, influential country?
We will determine how other countries view America by learning and analyzing how America treats
its own citizens, how America treats other countries, and how America manages its own budget. We
propose that the world views America as a well developed, economically, and politically stable nation
that treats its citizens with the utmost respect.
One way to analyze how the world views America, is to examine how America treats its own citizens.

the proper health care available for every citizen, America doesn t supply it to its citizens because
some of them cannot afford it. This shows other countries that America doesn t have the best interest
for its citizens in mind, only the most profitable one.
To analyze how the world views America, we need to examine exactly just how America treats the rest
of the world. Since the end of World War II, there have been 248 armed conflicts in 153 locations

Camera Lucida Analysis
The Indexical Experience in Camera Lucida
Roland Barthes analysis of the photograph in Camera Lucida is based on his introspective experience
with photography s appearance. The book consists of reflections of emotions felt during his
experiences, which essentially defines a phenomenological approach. Phenomenology, according to
David Woodruff Smith, is concerned with the things as they appear in our experience...thus the
meanings things have in our experience (Smith). For photography, the appearance of the photograph is
produced through the physical relationship between the referent photographed and how it is imprinted
in film. Therefore, in the experience of a photograph for Barthes, the sign is determined by that
physical relationship. Although, Barthes analysis of the photograph includes both indexical and iconic
aspects, this paper seeks to argue that the indexical aspect of a photograph is the prominent sign of the
photograph because of Barthes phenomenological approach to photography. To be clear, I am
analyzing how Barthes perceives photography as indexical from his phenomenological approach and
proving how it serves the indexical sign.
First, we must consider how Barthes speaks of indexicality when describing the Camera Lucida s
purpose, which he says is to find the noeme of photography. He eventually concludes that the noeme
is the undeniability of that has been , which refers to the indexical truthfulness of what has physically
been in front of the camera. He

My Personal Strengths And Strengths
Trying to decide what your personal strengths are, is hard. For myself, I have grown in my strengths,
and I ve experienced my weaknesses. My personal strengths consist of: positivity, encouragement,
laughter, and love. I pick these four because I feel that I am truly strongest in these aspects of my life.
Being positive is a big factor in everything I do. I always want to be happy and joyful; not only to
display Christ in me, but to make others feel the way I do. I want others to appreciate life and to feel
any kind of uplift in his or her spirt. Positivity plays into encouragement. I make it my goal to make
others feel better about themselves. My goal coming into college was to learn and know every
person(s) name that I got the chance to meet. Just taking a few minutes out of your day to truly get to
know someone, is such a blessing. It not only blesses me in new friendships, but it also blesses others
because they feel that someone genuinely cares about them. Laughter is another characteristic I strive
to pour out onto others. I laugh at practically everything. I love to laugh, and I love to make people
laugh. I ve learned the importance of laughter, and I just want to make one person smile every day.
Love is my last of the four attributes. Love is so important to me. I love creation (Trees, birds,
squirrels), God, and I love people. I just want the love that God has given me, to pour out onto others.
I want others to know that I love them. These are my personal strengths

Discrimination And The Violation Of The 14th Amendment
On July 9, 1868 the 14th amendment to the constitution was ratified. This amendment granted
citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States, which included former slaves
recently freed. Although the slaves were freed, there was still discrimination all around them.
Discrimination is defined as differences between things or treating someone as inferior based on their
race . In 1800 s through 1900 there was a huge amount of cases that occurred due to violations of the
14th Amendment. Two well known landmark Supreme Court cases involving the 14th Amendment are
Plessy vs. Ferguson and Brown vs. Board of Education. In 1896 the U.S. Supreme Court case upheld
the constitution of segregation under the separate but equal doctrine in the Plessy vs. Ferguson case.
This case examined one key issue, was it constitutional to make black people sit in separate cars from
white people? In 1890, Homer Plessy broke the law in Louisiana, by sitting in the white people car
and he was 1/8 black and 7/8 white. The state of Louisiana passed the Separate Car Act, which
required railway companies to have separate but equal. There was punishment for not following the
law which if a person would sit in the wrong car they had to pay $25 fine or go to jail for 20 days.
Plessy was asked to move, but he refused and was arrested. When he was sent to jail he argued that

The E FM should have communicated to people s feelings to encourage behaviour change to
overcome barriers.
The actual change process should have included a Sense of Urgency . The positive promotion of in

broadcast. This would have altered people s behaviour to believe the change was necessary and
beneficial.
A Project Team or Guiding Coalition should have been formed by the E FM, to drive the change

An improved Vision or change strategy would have helped sell the change with a sense of emotion.
The Vision should have been broadcast in additional formats and regularly re publicised.

Strengths
Major strength of FedEx is its fastest home delivery service among all courier companies.
Customer base of FedEx is its one major strength but proper attention should be paid to maintain it
properly.
Another huge privilege which FedEx possess is its Smart Post option which allows it to utilize e
commerce to carry out the courier delivery services.
It has gained the position of 2nd largest LTL carrier in US and thus has gained much popularity among
its clients.
It s well established online courier tracking services are gaining more and more popularity in recent
times thus allowing the clients to attract towards the company more easily.
Innovation is one big advantage which FedEx carries and thus it keeps on innovating new solutions
for client s problems.
Weaknesses
One big weakness of FedEx is its inability in maintaining its competitive position in the marketing
especially in comparison to its big competitor named UPS.
Not completely but high costs are also making its success a bit away because competitors offer such
packages at low rates.
Although it is efficient but sometimes quality of services does not satisfy clients which in case make
the customer base decrease at a slower pace but it is still dangerous for the company.

Summer Reading Strategies
VIII. Closing and Wrap Up
Placing books in the hands of children to develop an interest in reading is critical. Placing targeted,
high interest books with STEAM focus in the hands of children is brilliant. Patrick Pope, principal

parents, teachers and members of the community come together to support a child to read during the
summer. Children who don t read over the summer risk losing up to three months of important skills

Once completed, the corporate assets should be more than adequate to support MRP usage along with
other corporate endeavors in the ERP realm.
Based on input from the software vendor, the MRP will be capable of handling an increase in activity
generated by the corporate goal of increased sales and marketing.
Economic feasibility was assessed as follows:
MRP will reduce operational cost by a minimum of 10% by eliminating surge hiring and purchasing to
meet production needs.
MRP will reduce cycle time by a minimum of 15% by normalizing the production lines and quantities
of products on hand or in production.
MRP will reduce on hand stock of finished products by up to 30% by reducing lead times associated
with production and procurement of raw materials.
Break even point will be realized within 6 months of implementation.
MRP will result in greater customer satisfaction as lead times are reduced or eliminated in purchase to
delivery times.
The current business process can be summarized both verbally and visually. Currently raw materials
are ordered and stockpiled. Once an order is received, the material on hand is reviewed to ensure
sufficient quantities are available. If sufficient quantities are not on hand additional materials are
ordered. Deliverables are manufactured and shipped to the customer. Review of raw materials on hand

Finding The Way With Service Animals Essay
Finding the Way with Service Animals
Johnny had never smiled in his entire four years of life, until July, 2015. He received a life changing
gift, a service dog trained as a companion to children with autism. His family had researched and tried
many ways to help him have an easier and more interactive life but to no avail until he got his service
dog. Improving life emotionally, physically and/or socially is the overall goal of people and/or
families with service animals.
There has been a long history with animals and their natural bonds with humans for many decades
now. Dogs have helped people with a multitude of illnesses for some time now, however Americans
were not the first to discover this natural trait in animals. The Germans during World War 1 were the
first to discover this. In the book, History of Guide Dog Use by Veterans it states that the German
army in particular relied heavily on the use of German shepherds as ambulance and messenger dogs.
The Germans reportedly used more than 25,000 dogs during World War I. these dogs were ideally
suited for this type of work, with ell known traits such as trainability, loyalty, intelligence, strength,
and endurance (Ostermeier 587). In today s society, we have numerous people who are unaware of the
services that animals can provide for humans. Specifically humans with mental or physical
disabilities. In this paper I will present various types of service animals as well as the many services

For instance, pressure, current and voltage are good examples of parameters which can be monitored to notice the changing in machines characteristics. This monitoring method uses periodic measurements of a monitored parameter and implements the data collected against time. Generally, any machine has a period of time before stop called early life which is the period from the operation till it decays to the normal life period. Juvenile Crime Paper Juvenile Crime Paper Malina Wiese CJS/200 December 9,2012 Juvenile Crime Paper Juvenile Court is a tribunal having special authority to try and pass judgments for crimes committed by children or adolescents who have not attained the age of maturity, generally defined as persons under the age of 18 and above the age of 10. Adult Court is a court of law where adults can be tried, and if convicted, face adult punishment such as probation, adult prison, or even the death penalty. Roughly half of all juvenile arrests are made for theft, simple assault, drug abuse, disorderly conduct, and curfew violations, according to the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. In an average year, only about 3% of cases heard in juvenile court involved violent offenses like robbery, rape, murder, and aggravated assault. Historically, the vast majority of juvenile court cases have involved male offenders. Usually between the ages of 14 and 17. But the number of girls entering the juvenile justice system has been on the rise in recent years, in an average year, girls accounted for 27% of all juveniles facing proceedings in the juvenile courts in the United States. The country was created in 1914 under British colonial rule and at that time it was considered a protectorate. It was not until 1960 that Nigeria received independence from the United Kingdom. One of Nigeria s problems politically is that it has over three hundred different ethnic groups. The three largest of these are the Hausa Fulani, Igbo, and Yoruba. At the time of the independence of Nigeria it was split up into three states with each state being under the control of one of the major ethnic groups. The natural resources of the other 297 ethnic groups were exploited for the major three groups, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In May 1995 Ken Sao Wiwa and his close MOSOP associates were accused of the murders of four Ogoni chiefs. Their trial was closed to the public Ken Saro Wiwa s legal defense resigned saying that the trial was not impartial or independent and no matter what they would all be found guilty. Ken Saro Wiwa and eight of his close associates were all hanged. Shell has since spent millions trying to repair the damage they inadvertently caused in Nigeria and the world s major powers have taken small actions against Nigeria. Violation of Human Rights, destruction of the environment, and denial of freedom of speech and congregation are the ethical issues raised in this case. The Human Rights violations are many. The Nigerian special police force raped, tortured, and murdered hundreds who spoke out against the tyrannical government. All together they killed 2,000 Ogoni, razed 27 villages and displaced over 80,000 people who fled into the bush as refugees. Plea Bargaining Plea Bargaining University of Phoenix CJA/373 Criminal Court Systems Mario D Adamo Week Four Individual Assignment July 14, 2010 Plea Bargaining Introduction Much of the criticism leveled at the legal system in general and the criminal justice system in particular is well deserved, but one feature of the criminal justice system poorly understood and thus unfairly judged by both the public and the media, is the process of plea bargaining. Because criminal defendants have no incentive to plead guilty as charged, and because the number of cases that would otherwise need to be tried vastly exceeds the resources available to try them, plea bargaining is a strategy for avoiding total gridlock. Definitions of Plea Bargaining The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Naïve defendants may enter into plea agreements with prosecutors not knowing that they have the right to litigate fully any charges against them. However, according to the Fifth and Sixth Amendments of the United States Constitution, no person shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself (self incrimination), and in all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury, to be confronted with witnesses against him. Advantages of Plea Bargaining There are several advantages for plea bargaining. Some include; reducing the uncertainties of criminal trials, fewer trials and trial delays, more convictions, and reducing the costs of trials. Some other advantages of plea bargaining are that victims are spared either the trauma or inconvenience of testifying, according to the nature of the case, and the prosecution is spared the risk of acquittal. Disadvantages of Plea Bargaining The concrete disadvantage is that there is some reduction in the conviction offense or sentence or both, although the outcomes of responsible plea bargaining are not dramatically different from probable outcomes absent plea bargaining. The most significant disadvantage of plea bargaining, however, is the abstract one it involves negotiating with criminals and rewards their refusal to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Symptoms And Treatment Of The Blood Brain Barrier There are many expecting mothers who suffer from serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or borderline personality disorder that requires they must take antipsychotic drugs to remain stable. There are different types of antipsychotics like typical and atypical. Typical antipsychotics are classified as the first generation of antipyschotics. The atypical antipsychotics, the second generation, are reported to be safer than the typical antipsychotics because they are the newer form of antipsychotic medication. Even though they are reported to be safer, they still have severe side effects on the individual consuming it, like tardive dyskinesia, which are uncontrollable movements of the mouth (McCauley et al., 2009). Some drugs can affect the fetus by transferring to the blood brain barrier. The blood brain barrier is a permeable barrier that allows some chemicals to pass through. It separates the circulating blood from the brain extracellular fluid in the central nervous system. The blood brain barrier also transports molecules to the brain that are essential to function properly, like glucose and amino acids. Since capillary endothelial cells, which line the whole circulatory system, form the blood brain barrier the medication could be transported to the fetus. From ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. The Value Rates Policy ( Nirp ) Which Are Been Adopted... The measure taken to lower interest rates below zero, constitutes the negative interest rates policy (NIRP) which are been adopted with a price stability objective. In ensuring stability of prices Central Banks aim for low inflation rates. Despite, the aim for low inflation, the rates need to be significantly below but also close to 2 percent. The European Central Bank (ECB) influences inflation by effecting changes on the interest rates. Even so, despite the risk of conflating the nominal lower bound, not going below the zero percentage mark and with inflation remaining relatively low the real rates would then not fall further. In consideration of the fact that the euro area deposit rate was already at the zero percent mark, and the refinancing rate at 0.25 percent, cutting the refinancing rate will demand a push the deposit rate to negative territory. Therefore, to sustain the functionality of the money market the ECB had to push the deposit rate to 0.10 per cent to maintain the corridor after lowering the refinancing rate to 0.15 percent (Benoit). Subsequently, in January 2016, Bank of Japan (BOJ) adopted a monetary easing policy imposing negative rates (Kuroda). With Japan looking to encourage more lending and spur high spending to push inflation the negative interest rate of 0.1 percent was set. • 12. Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe Since its publication in 1719, Robinson Crusoe has served as a popular adventure novel. The overall content of the story presents itself as nothing more than adventurous, but after a close reading it becomes clear that the narrative has an underlying message of colonialism. The novel tells the story of a European man who gradually gains complete control over an island in the Caribbean. The author, Daniel Defoe, presents colonialism by portraying the protagonist as someone who slowly and progressively asserts his dominion over the foreign land. In the novel colonialism is clearly reflected through the relationship between the colonized and the colonizer. It is through Crusoe s interactions with Friday that multiple allegorical facets of colonialism such as economic power, psychological domination, and spiritual belief become evident to the reader. The relationship between Crusoe and Friday shows the relationship of master and slave. Crusoe metaphorically represents the imperial figure or colonizer while Friday becomes the metaphor for the colonized. Robinson however does not fall immediately into his role as colonizer he first has to establish control over the island itself and learn how to survive. This is why he is fearful and hesitant when he was exceedingly surprised with the print of a man s naked foot on the shore, which was very plain to be seen on the sand. Her mother was Gladys Baker and her father was Martin Edward Mortenson. Marilyn s Death Marilyn died on the 5th of August 1962. It was unsure about how she died. Because of that there are three theories. The first theory is suicide. The cause of Marilyn s death was listed as a probable suicide, but they never managed to find a suicide note. The second theory is Accidental drug interaction. It is said that she had developed an addiction to Nembutal so she chose to let her doctor wear her off the medication by switching to chloral hydrate but some people think that she secretly continued taking Nembutal. The third theory is murder. It suggests that an individual or group murdered her to keep her silence as when she met president John.F.Kennedy and his brother Robert there were rumours of them both having affairs with Marilyn, so they payed someone to kill her so they could keep their reputation and their careers. When you think of Marilyn Monroe you might think of her enticing performance of Diamonds are a girl s best friend from the movie Gentleman prefer blondes. In general, sexual orientation is defined as: a person s sexual identity in relation to the gender to which they are attracted; the fact of being heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A person s sexual orientation is distinct from a person s gender identity and expression, but without gender identity and expression, sexual orientation would be hard to distinguish. The term gender identity, distinct from the term sexual orientation, refers to a person s innate, deeply felt psychological identification as a man, woman or some other gender, which may or may not correspond to the sex assigned to them at birth (e.g., the sex listed on their birth certificate). For example take a child who may be born a hermaphrodite or what is commonly known as an intersex. When birthed this child would have either male and female sex organs or sexual characteristics. Unlike those who are heterosexual, homosexual, or even bisexual, an intersexual in my opinion would have the most difficult time finding their sexual orientation, due to the fact at times they are given a gender identity based on their genital formation. When in the womb intersex infants can be spotted. The choice is up to the parent s then if they would like to assign gender to the infant. Personal Narrative On Escape From Reality Escape From Reality Is it possible to get stuck on this island? my Mom asked our tour guide with a worried tone while disembarking a ship which took us to a peaceful, isolated, and small island in the Faroe Islands. They believe that the New Testament is a biased and unreliable source for the existence of Jesus. They therefore claim that Jesus did not exist. The historical existence of Jesus is necessary to demonstrate the truth of Christianity. While Christian scholars do not discount the reliability of the New Testament as a historical document, they are also able to point to other historical documents and consider non Christian writings which support the existence of Jesus. In this paper I will argue that Jesus the Nazarene was an actual, historical person and that this can be demonstrated through extra Biblical resources. Tacitus Tacitus, perhaps the greatest Roman historian, provides us with an account of the fire of Rome.1 It is within this account, recorded in The Annals, that Tacitus mentions Jesus. In chapters 38 through 45 of Annals 15, Tacitus discusses how Nero implicated Christians as those responsible for the fire. But neither human resourcefulness nor the emperor s largesse nor appeasement of the gods could stop belief in the nasty rumor that an order had been given for the fire. • 27. Camera Lucida Analysis The Indexical Experience in Camera Lucida Roland Barthes analysis of the photograph in Camera Lucida is based on his introspective experience with photography s appearance. The book consists of reflections of emotions felt during his experiences, which essentially defines a phenomenological approach. Phenomenology, according to David Woodruff Smith, is concerned with the things as they appear in our experience...thus the meanings things have in our experience (Smith). For photography, the appearance of the photograph is produced through the physical relationship between the referent photographed and how it is imprinted in film. Therefore, in the experience of a photograph for Barthes, the sign is determined by that physical relationship. Although, Barthes analysis of the photograph includes both indexical and iconic aspects, this paper seeks to argue that the indexical aspect of a photograph is the prominent sign of the photograph because of Barthes phenomenological approach to photography. To be clear, I am analyzing how Barthes perceives photography as indexical from his phenomenological approach and proving how it serves the indexical sign. First, we must consider how Barthes speaks of indexicality when describing the Camera Lucida s purpose, which he says is to find the noeme of photography. He eventually concludes that the noeme is the undeniability of that has been , which refers to the indexical truthfulness of what has physically been in front of the camera. He ... I believe that the United States is the best country in the world, and it shows by the beacon of hope that flag represents. The very first flag of the United States was called the Grand Union, and it was flown for about a year. Instead of stars in the left corner, there was the crosses on the British flag, and it still had the 13 stripes in honor of the colonies. The flag was probably made this way as the design is easy to make, being only stripes and a British flag. It is believed that this flag was flown in 1776 on New Year s Eve on Prospect Hill in Charlestown by George Washington s army. The design we are familiar with (Stars and ... • 32. My Personal Strengths And Strengths Trying to decide what your personal strengths are, is hard. For myself, I have grown in my strengths, and I ve experienced my weaknesses. My personal strengths consist of: positivity, encouragement, laughter, and love. I pick these four because I feel that I am truly strongest in these aspects of my life. Being positive is a big factor in everything I do. I always want to be happy and joyful; not only to display Christ in me, but to make others feel the way I do. I want others to appreciate life and to feel any kind of uplift in his or her spirt. Positivity plays into encouragement. I make it my goal to make others feel better about themselves. My goal coming into college was to learn and know every person(s) name that I got the chance to meet. Just taking a few minutes out of your day to truly get to know someone, is such a blessing. It not only blesses me in new friendships, but it also blesses others because they feel that someone genuinely cares about them. Laughter is another characteristic I strive to pour out onto others. I laugh at practically everything. I love to laugh, and I love to make people laugh. I ve learned the importance of laughter, and I just want to make one person smile every day. Love is my last of the four attributes. Love is so important to me. I love creation (Trees, birds, squirrels), God, and I love people. I just want the love that God has given me, to pour out onto others. I want others to know that I love them. These are my personal strengths ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although the slaves were freed, there was still discrimination all around them. Discrimination is defined as differences between things or treating someone as inferior based on their race . In 1800 s through 1900 there was a huge amount of cases that occurred due to violations of the 14th Amendment. Two well known landmark Supreme Court cases involving the 14th Amendment are Plessy vs. Ferguson and Brown vs. Board of Education. In 1896 the U.S. Supreme Court case upheld the constitution of segregation under the separate but equal doctrine in the Plessy vs. Ferguson case. This case examined one key issue, was it constitutional to make black people sit in separate cars from white people? In 1890, Homer Plessy broke the law in Louisiana, by sitting in the white people car and he was 1/8 black and 7/8 white. The state of Louisiana passed the Separate Car Act, which required railway companies to have separate but equal. There was punishment for not following the law which if a person would sit in the wrong car they had to pay $25 fine or go to jail for 20 days.
