The frame camera is used by users of digital single-lens reflex cameras (DSLRs) as a shorthand for an image sensor format which is the same size as 35mm format (36 mm × 24 mm) film.
Panoramic imagery is created either by digitally stitching together multiple images from the same position (left/right, up/down) or by rotating a camera with conventional optics, and an area or line sensor.

The research described in this thesis was motivated by the need of a robust model capable of representing 3D data obtained with 3D sensors, which are inherently noisy. In addition, time constraints have to be considered as these sensors are capable of providing a 3D data stream in real time. This thesis proposed the use of Self-Organizing Maps (SOMs) as a 3D representation model. In particular, we proposed the use of the Growing Neural Gas (GNG) network, which has been successfully used for clustering, pattern recognition and topology representation of multi-dimensional data. Until now, Self-Organizing Maps have been primarily computed offline and their application in 3D data has mainly focused on free noise models, without considering time constraints. It is proposed a hardware implementation leveraging the computing power of modern GPUs, which takes advantage of a new paradigm coined as General-Purpose Computing on Graphics Processing Units (GPGPU). The proposed methods were applied to different problems and applications in the area of computer vision such as the recognition and localization of objects, visual surveillance or 3D reconstruction.
This paper analyzed different haze removal methods. Haze causes trouble to
many computer graphics/vision applications as it reduces the visibility of the scene. Air light and
attenuation are two basic phenomena of haze. air light enhances the whiteness in scene and on
the other hand attenuation reduces the contrast. the colour and contrast of the scene is recovered
by haze removal techniques. many applications like object detection , surveillance, consumer
electronics etc. apply haze removal techniques. this paper widely focuses on the methods of
effectively eliminating haze from digital images. it also indicates the demerits of current
techniques.

The single image dehazing based on efficient transmission estimationAVVENIRE TECHNOLOGIES
We propose a novel haze imaging model for single image haze removal. Haze imaging model is formulated using dark channel prior (DCP), scene radiance, intensity, atmospheric light and transmission medium. The dark channel prior is based on the statistics of outdoor haze-free images. We find that, in most of the local regions which do not cover the sky, some pixels (called dark pixels) very often have very low intensity in at least one color (RGB) channel. In hazy images, the intensity of these dark pixels in that channel is mainly contributed by the air light. Therefore, these dark pixels can directly provide an accurate estimation of the haze transmission. Combining a haze imaging model and a interpolation method, we can recover a high-quality haze free image and produce a good depth map.

Tracking Chessboard Corners Using Projective Transformation for Augmented Rea...CSCJournals
Augmented reality has been a topic of intense research for several years for many applications. It consists of inserting a virtual object into a real scene. The virtual object must be accurately positioned in a desired place. Some measurements (calibration) are thus required and a set of correspondences between points on the calibration target and the camera images must be found. In this paper, we present a tracking technique based on both detection of Chessboard corners and a least squares method; the objective is to estimate the perspective transformation matrix for the current view of the camera. This technique does not require any information or computation of the camera parameters; it can used in real time without any initialization and the user can change the camera focal without any fear of losing alignment between real and virtual object.

An algorithm to quantify the swelling by reconstructing 3D model of the face with stereo images is presented. We
analyzed the primary problems in computational stereo, which include correspondence and depth calculation. Work has been carried out to determine suitable methods for depth estimation and standardizing volume estimations. Finally we designed software for reconstructing 3D images from 2D stereo images, which was built on Matlab and Visual C++. Utilizing
techniques from multi-view geometry, a 3D model of the face was constructed and refined. An explicit analysis of the stereo
disparity calculation methods and filter elimination disparity estimation for increasing reliability of the disparity map was
used. Minimizing variability in position by using more precise positioning techniques and resources will increase the accuracy of this technique and is a focus for future work

Efficient 3D stereo vision stabilization for multi-camera viewpointsjournalBEEI
In this paper, an algorithm is developed in 3D Stereo vision to improve image stabilization process for multi-camera viewpoints. Finding accurate unique matching key-points using Harris Laplace corner detection method for different photometric changes and geometric transformation in images. Then improved the connectivity of correct matching pairs by minimizing
the global error using spanning tree algorithm. Tree algorithm helps to stabilize randomly positioned camera viewpoints in linear order. The unique matching key-points will be calculated only once with our method.
Then calculated planar transformation will be applied for real time video rendering. The proposed algorithm can process more than 200 camera viewpoints within two seconds.

Matching algorithm performance analysis for autocalibration method of stereo ...TELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
Stereo vision is one of the interesting research topics in the computer vision field. Two cameras are used to generate a disparity map, resulting in the depth estimation. Camera calibration is the most important step in stereo vision. The calibration step is used to generate an intrinsic parameter of each camera to get a better disparity map. In general, the calibration process is done manually by using a chessboard pattern, but this process is an exhausting task. Self-calibration is an important ability required to overcome this problem. Self-calibration required a robust and good matching algorithm to find the key feature between images as reference. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the performance of three matching algorithms for the autocalibration process. The matching algorithms used in this research are SIFT, SURF, and ORB. The result shows that SIFT performs better than other methods.
Disparity map generation based on trapezoidal camera architecture for multi v...ijma
Visual content acquisition is a strategic functional block of any visual system. Despite its wide possibilities,
the arrangement of cameras for the acquisition of good quality visual content for use in multi-view video
remains a huge challenge. This paper presents the mathematical description of trapezoidal camera
architecture and relationships which facilitate the determination of camera position for visual content
acquisition in multi-view video, and depth map generation. The strong point of Trapezoidal Camera
Architecture is that it allows for adaptive camera topology by which points within the scene, especially the
occluded ones can be optically and geometrically viewed from several different viewpoints either on the
edge of the trapezoid or inside it. The concept of maximum independent set, trapezoid characteristics, and
the fact that the positions of cameras (with the exception of few) differ in their vertical coordinate
description could very well be used to address the issue of occlusion which continues to be a major
problem in computer vision with regards to the generation of depth map.

CFD Simulation of By-pass Flow in a HRSG module by R&R Consult.pptxR&R Consult
CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.
It is always satisfying when we can help solve complex challenges like this. Do your systems also need a check-up or optimization? Give us a call!
Work done in cooperation with James Malloy and David Moelling from Tetra Engineering.

Automobile Management System Project Report.pdfKamal Acharya
The proposed project is developed to manage the automobile in the automobile dealer company. The main module in this project is login, automobile management, customer management, sales, complaints and reports. The first module is the login. The automobile showroom owner should login to the project for usage. The username and password are verified and if it is correct, next form opens. If the username and password are not correct, it shows the error message.
When a customer search for a automobile, if the automobile is available, they will be taken to a page that shows the details of the automobile including automobile name, automobile ID, quantity, price etc. “Automobile Management System” is useful for maintaining automobiles, customers effectively and hence helps for establishing good relation between customer and automobile organization. It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. On the other hand the stock of automobiles can be maintained perfectly by the automobile shop manager overcoming the drawbacks of existing system.

Cosmetic shop management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
Buying new cosmetic products is difficult. It can even be scary for those who have sensitive skin and are prone to skin trouble. The information needed to alleviate this problem is on the back of each product, but it's thought to interpret those ingredient lists unless you have a background in chemistry.
Instead of buying and hoping for the best, we can use data science to help us predict which products may be good fits for us. It includes various function programs to do the above mentioned tasks.
Data file handling has been effectively used in the program.
The automated cosmetic shop management system should deal with the automation of general workflow and administration process of the shop. The main processes of the system focus on customer's request where the system is able to search the most appropriate products and deliver it to the customers. It should help the employees to quickly identify the list of cosmetic product that have reached the minimum quantity and also keep a track of expired date for each cosmetic product. It should help the employees to find the rack number in which the product is placed. It is also Faster and more efficient way.

TECHNICAL TRAINING MANUAL GENERAL FAMILIARIZATION COURSEDuvanRamosGarzon1
AIRCRAFT GENERAL
The Single Aisle is the most advanced family aircraft in service today, with fly-by-wire flight controls.
The A318, A319, A320 and A321 are twin-engine subsonic medium range aircraft.
The family offers a choice of engines
3. Introduction (I)
3
The frame camera is used by users of digital single-
lens reflex cameras (DSLRs) as a shorthand for an
image sensor format which is the same size as
35mm format (36 mm × 24 mm) film.
Figure 1. kinds of the frame camera size
4. Introduction (II)
4
Panoramic imagery is created either by digitally
stitching together multiple images from the
same position (left/right, up/down) or by
rotating a camera with conventional optics, and
an area or line sensor.
Figure 2. circular images
Figure 3. Panoramic imagery
5. Geometry of Digital Frame Camera
5
The geometry of image formation can be modeled as a
perspective projection, which describes the relationship
between the camera lens system and the image plane.
Figure 5. Perspective projection
Figure 4. Geometry of
Digital Frame Camera
6. Geometry of Panoramic Camera
6
Panoramic photogrammetry is based on a cylindrical
imaging model, as generated by numerous analogue and
digital panoramic cameras or by a computational fusion
of individual central perspective images. Assuming the
camera rotation corresponds to a horizontal scan, the
resulting panoramic image has central perspective
imaging properties in the vertical direction only.

7. Objective
7
Building point clouds and textured meshes from both
cameras in indoor. Furthermore, the same imaging
resources can be to accuracy evaluation.
8. Methodology
8
Acquires a pair of fisheye images that are then stitched
inside (a) the mobile phone or with (b) the Action
Direction desktop application. In addition, the fisheye
images were stitched with software for panoramic
photography (PTGui (c) and Autopano Giga (d)). (Fig. 6).
Figure 7. The different options for the
generation of equirectangular projections
Required a preliminary calibration project for the
estimation of distortion coefficients and relative
orientation between the fisheye image pair
Default solutions
9. Methodology
9
Metric accuracy of single fisheye images
Relative orientation of front and rear-facing images
Images have the typical configuration for
camera calibration, i.e. several convergent
images with roll variations.
The calibration procedure aims at determining the
relative position and attitude of front- and rear-facing
images, as well as their distortion parameters.
3D Modeling
10. 3D modeling software
10
The spherical camera model is also available
in some 3D modeling software from images
11. Results

Table 1. Accuracy achieved with the front-facing cameraMetric accuracy of single fisheye images
Such results confirm the good metric
quality of the Samsung Gear 360 when the
original fisheye images are used for
photogrammetric applications
The used software is ContextCapture,
which allows one to process fisheye images
with a mathematical formulation based on
the asymmetric camera model.

Relative orientation of front and rear-facing
images
Fig. 8. The special calibration tool used to estimate the
relative orientation between front and rear facing images.
PTGui project with all images and the final result in which
only a pair of front and rear facing images are used for
generating the equirectangular projection.
The RMS of pixel coordinates achieved
with PTGui was about ±8.5 pixels, that is
not an optimal result.
Results with AutoPano Giga were instead
better. The achieved RMS of image
coordinates was ±3.3 pixels

As it is shown in the results, the geometric
definition is very good, very close to the
one obtained by laser scanning.
Nevertheless, some strong shadows can be
seen on the vaults and near the floor.
Coloured point cloud (41.892.875 points
after registration and subsampling,
medium quality settings) was obtained by
using 4 scan stations. Scan data capturing
took 50 min.

Canon 550 D SRL textured mesh HDR 3600 textured mesh
Point cloud resolution obtained with HDR 3600 is clearly
lower but enough for general geometry documentation.
Furthermore, dense point cloud showed is obtained by
using “medium” PhotoScan settings and therefore, point
cloud with higher density could be obtained if selected
“high” or “ultra-high” settings.

against the spherical methodology
18. Results
18
At first sight, the point cloud
obtained by using Canon 550 D
SLR data seems more uniform.
The majority of the points showed
a distance difference of 0.002 m,
being the most common values
under 0.025 m.

19. Results
19
The results showed by HDR
3600 data comparison seem
less uniform at first sight.
Nevertheless, the graphic
distribution of values is quite
similar. The majority of the
points showed distance
differences of 0.002 m, being
most common values under
0.025 m.

20. Results
20
The reconstruction from front rear facing fisheye images has a
better accuracy but is partially incomplete, especially the area
above the camera.
The achieved mesh has a better quality than that
generated by equirectangular image
On the other hand, the reconstruction is partially
incomplete, especially the area of the vault, which was
instead modeled in the case of equirectangular
projections
Single equirectangular projections or
pairs of front- and rear-facing images?
21. Conclusion
1. HDR 360 accurate pre-calibrated cameras, image matching techniques also became
competitive in terms of color quality and time-consuming.
2. Point cloud resolution gained from image matching techniques is enough for both general
and detail documentation.
3. Image matching techniques by using HDR 360 accurate pre-calibrated cameras make the task
easier and faster
21
22. Future Work
1. Build a 3D model of a video model, where the video model can be extracted into an image
model.
2. In other cases, for 3D modeling we can consider light. The point is the comparison of the
intensity of light from inside and outside the room.
