India is known for 100GW solar target by 2022, low solar tariffs and competitive bidding. India added 3GW solar in 2015-16 adding to a cumulative capacity of 8GW and will be adding 10GW in 2016-17. Another success achieved in solar in Inida, is in the offgrid solar pumping program in Rajasthan which realised the Food - Water - Energy nexus and provided a holistic solution for the farmer's livelihood. Rajasthan's Horticulture Department, under the leadership of Dr Dinesh Kumar Goyal, introduced a composite irrigation package through creation of water harvesting structures, recharging ground water, pumping with solar pumps and irrigating through drip. Some farmers' income levels increased four-fold and even young MBA graduates were inspired to take up farming.
To support the scale up of solar pumping program, we developed a project for "Remote Performance Monitoring and Outsourced Service Management of Solar Pumps and Off-grid Solar PV Plants" which was recently selected for funding by PACEsetter Fund in India, which is a joint initiative of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt of India and the US State Department.
15,000 MW in 10 years: dream or reality?
In 2018, Government of Nepal set an ambitious plan to generate at least 15,000 MW of electricity in 10 years. Nepal is rich in energy resources, however it has a very meager installed capacity, at around 1300 MW. Hence, many doubt if this target can be achieved. In this ppt, I have outlined the potentials and challenges.

Energy Crisis of Pakistan
Pakistan has been experiencing an energy crisis since 2007 due to rising demand outpacing available energy generation. Projections show a growing deficit between expected energy demand and available supply each year through 2020. The crisis is caused by economic and political instability, fluctuating oil prices, an aging infrastructure, and mismanagement of resources. Short-term solutions include increasing private energy producers, importing electricity, and improving distribution. Medium-term plans focus on transitioning to renewable resources like solar and wind. Long-term plans involve developing domestic coal, signing agreements for imports, and expanding exploration of gas, oil, and coal reserves. Pakistan has significant potential for various renewable resources to help overcome the energy crisis.

India is known for 100GW solar target by 2022, low solar tariffs and competitive bidding. India added 3GW solar in 2015-16 adding to a cumulative capacity of 8GW and will be adding 10GW in 2016-17. Another success achieved in solar in Inida, is in the offgrid solar pumping program in Rajasthan which realised the Food - Water - Energy nexus and provided a holistic solution for the farmer's livelihood. Rajasthan's Horticulture Department, under the leadership of Dr Dinesh Kumar Goyal, introduced a composite irrigation package through creation of water harvesting structures, recharging ground water, pumping with solar pumps and irrigating through drip. Some farmers' income levels increased four-fold and even young MBA graduates were inspired to take up farming.
To support the scale up of solar pumping program, we developed a project for "Remote Performance Monitoring and Outsourced Service Management of Solar Pumps and Off-grid Solar PV Plants" which was recently selected for funding by PACEsetter Fund in India, which is a joint initiative of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt of India and the US State Department.
15,000 MW in 10 years: dream or reality?
In 2018, Government of Nepal set an ambitious plan to generate at least 15,000 MW of electricity in 10 years. Nepal is rich in energy resources, however it has a very meager installed capacity, at around 1300 MW. Hence, many doubt if this target can be achieved. Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited
KREDL was established in 1996 by the Government of Karnataka to promote renewable energy and energy conservation activities in the state. It serves as the nodal agency for implementing various renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. As of August 2013, Karnataka had an installed renewable energy capacity of 4,184 MW, with wind (53%) and cogeneration (27%) making up the majority. MAXIMISING THE BENEFITS OF DISTRIBUTED SOLAR ENERGY: AN EVALUATION
Tamil Nadu is making significant strides towards a sustainable energy future, supported by announcements of adding 20 GW of solar energy capacity and 10 GW of battery energy storage capacity by 2030. The state’s policy and regulatory frameworks, including the Tamil Nadu Solar Policy and the Generic Tariff Order, are driving the adoption of grid-connected distributed solar energy. As the adoption of distributed generation systems increases, the importance of smart grid integration becomes evident. Studies that provide an avoided cost assessment offer an opportunity to network operators to identify the most appropriate distribution network nodes and distributed renewable energy (DRE) capacities
This report focuses on evaluating the network and societal impacts of introducing distributed solar energy in the Karungalpalayam HT Feeder under the Erode substation. This analysis provides valuable insights into the distribution of active power and voltage, allowing operators to optimize network performance. The report utilized the Solva tool. Solva is a web-based tool with the aim to assist grid operators in assessing the network and societal value of distributed energy resources (VODER). Solva assesses both network benefits and societal benefits. Network benefits encompass the avoided costs associated with energy, distribution capacity, transmission capacity, and generation capacity. Simultaneously, societal benefits factor in the avoided costs of CO2 emissions, SO2 emissions, NO2 emissions, and PM2.5 emissions.
For the selected feeder a 4.50 MW solar energy system interconnected at the tail end of the feeder results in a VODER benefit of INR 12.84 per kWh. These benefit is subdivided into network benefitss and societal benefit. The societal benefits achieved from the integration contribute to 8.84 INR/kWh or 69% of the total benefit. Network benefits are found to be at 4.00 INR/kWh or 31%. With the integration of distributed solar energy, the distribution line losses show a reduction, particularly if interconnected at the middle end or tail end of the HT feeder. When the solar energy system is interconnected at the tail end or at the middle end of Karungalpalayam HT Feeder, a deferral of feeder upgradation is found.In particular to Karungalpalayam HT feeder, interconnecting the distributed solar energy system close to the point of consumption offers the highest benefits.

It is very essential to know the meaning of ‘tread’. The grooves which are cut on the tyre surface are called tread. These treads ensure the gripping action between the road surface and tyre. After the use of tyre the depth of treads becomes less and a slippery action takes place between road surface and tyre. The co-efficient of friction becomes less. A tyre is in no more condition to be used again. Now, here becomes the choice either to replace the tyre with a new one which is very expensive or to retread the tyre which is less expensive as compared to the cost of new tyre. Retreading process can also rectify minor cuts or defects on the side walls of tyre, beads and punctures in a single stage. A tyre can be retreaded or not this is entirely dependable on the type of use of tyre and condition of tyre.

PRACTICE DIRECTIONS Meter reading, energy accounting and settlement with the Consumer shall be
undertaken by the Supply Licensee as per the terms of the Regulations. The Supply
Licensee shall pay the Wheeling Charges, as approved by the Commission for a
particular financial year and corresponding to the unadjusted net credited Units of
electricity at the end of that year, to the Wires Licensee. Such payment will be taken
into account by the Commission while determining the respective Aggregate Revenue
Requirements.

Climate change's impact on the planet forced the United Nations and governments to promote green energies and electric transportation. The deployments of photovoltaic (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) systems gained stronger momentum due to their numerous advantages over fossil fuel types. The advantages go beyond sustainability to reach financial support and stability. The work in this paper introduces the hybrid system between PV and EV to support industrial and commercial plants. This paper covers the theoretical framework of the proposed hybrid system including the required equation to complete the cost analysis when PV and EV are present. In addition, the proposed design diagram which sets the priorities and requirements of the system is presented. The proposed approach allows setup to advance their power stability, especially during power outages. The presented information supports researchers and plant owners to complete the necessary analysis while promoting the deployment of clean energy. The result of a case study that represents a dairy milk farmer supports the theoretical works and highlights its advanced benefits to existing plants. The short return on investment of the proposed approach supports the paper's novelty approach for the sustainable electrical system. In addition, the proposed system allows for an isolated power setup without the need for a transmission line which enhances the safety of the electrical network

Medical image analysis has witnessed significant advancements with deep learning techniques. In the domain of brain tumor segmentation, the ability to
precisely delineate tumor boundaries from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
scans holds profound implications for diagnosis. This study presents an ensemble convolutional neural network (CNN) with transfer learning, integrating
the state-of-the-art Deeplabv3+ architecture with the ResNet18 backbone. The
model is rigorously trained and evaluated, exhibiting remarkable performance
metrics, including an impressive global accuracy of 99.286%, a high-class accuracy of 82.191%, a mean intersection over union (IoU) of 79.900%, a weighted
IoU of 98.620%, and a Boundary F1 (BF) score of 83.303%. Notably, a detailed comparative analysis with existing methods showcases the superiority of
our proposed model. These findings underscore the model’s competence in precise brain tumor localization, underscoring its potential to revolutionize medical
image analysis and enhance healthcare outcomes. This research paves the way
for future exploration and optimization of advanced CNN models in medical
imaging, emphasizing addressing false positives and resource efficiency.

Textile policy Maharashtra
- 1. Incentives to promote use of Green Energy: Special incentives will be given to textile projects implementing environment friendly solar and wind energy projects. If spinning mills, powerlooms and textile projects are ready to set up green energy projects then the State Government, in collaboration with MEDA, will formulate a scheme for providing appropriate subsidy to reduce the overall power subsidy. Electricity Concessions 1. Cross subsidy on open access will not be levied for textile units. 2. The State Government’s Energy Department will not levy charges other than “transmission charges” on projects using non-conventional sources (solar, wind, etc.) of energy 3. A subsidy of Rs. 3 per unit will be given to co-operative spinning mills for a period of 3 years. Within this period of 3 years the units will set up non- conventional power projects to fulfil their power needs. The restriction of 1 MW is removed from the net metering scheme. The subsidy of Rs. 3 per unit will not be applicable to open access. The subsidy will be reviewed every year and will be reduced to keep the overall annual subsidy burden within Rs. 150 crore. 4. A subsidy of Rs. 2 per unit will be given to powerlooms using power above 200 HP 5. Subsidy given to powerloom units using less than 27 HP, 27 to 200 HP and more than 200 HP, will similarly be applicable to garment, knitting and hosiery units. 6. A subsidy of Rs 2 per unit will be given to spinning mills (except co-operative spinning mills), processing units and all other textile units which are using more than 107 HP power 7. It is observed that the electricity rates for units using upto 27 HP are more than the rates applicable for units using 27 to 107 HP. Necessary action will be taken to eliminate this disparity 8. When any unit is simultaneously using conventional and non-conventional power, the use of both the power sources will be taken into consideration to decide the load factor. 9. A committee comprising the Director General, Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) and the Director Textile will be set up to finalise the subsidy required for setting up of co-operative spinning mills on solar power within three years.
