What is it? The  Texas Campus School and Technology Readiness (STaR) Chart  is a tool designed for use in technology planning, budgeting for resources, and evaluation of progress in local technology projects. http://starchart.esc12.net/

Students per Computers (INF1) 2006-2007 Rating: Early Tech 2007-2008 Rating: Early Tech In most classrooms, there are 10 or more students per computer with internet access.
Internet Access Connectivity Speed (INF2) 2006-2007 Rating: Target Tech 2007-2008 Rating: Advanced Tech In 75% of the classrooms, there is direct connectivity to the internet available.  Our bandwidth has been less sufficient recently due to our growing student population.
Other Classroom Technology (INF3) 2006-2007 Rating: Developing Tech 2007-2008 Rating: Developing Tech There is one educator computer per classroom with shared use of classroom phones, flash drives, projection systems, digital devices, and classroom sets of graphing calculators (5 th  grade).
Technical Support (INF4) 2006-2007 Rating: Advanced Tech 2007-2008 Rating: Advanced Tech There is at least one technical staff per 351-500 computers.
Local Area Network  Wide Area Network (INF5) 2006-2007 Rating: Developing Tech 2007-2008 Rating: Developing Tech At least half of our rooms are connected to the LAN/WAN with access for teachers and students to print while also sharing various applications and district servers.
Distance Learning Capacity (INF6) 2006-2007 Rating: Developing Tech 2007-2008 Rating: Developing Tech Our campus provides scheduled access to online learning with valuable media such as streaming, video, animation, etc.
Our Goal
Our campus has completed the path halfway to meeting our technology goals and those of the state’s  Long-Range Plan for Technology, 2006-2020 .
