 Summary
What is Texas Campus STaR?
 It is an online school and technology readiness tool to aid for
  planning and self assessing to align technology with the
  Long-Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020.
 It assists in the measurement of the impact of state and local
  efforts to improve student learning through the use of
  technology as specified in No Child Left Behind.
 It also identifies needs for on-going professional
  development and raises awareness of research-based
  instructional goals.

 Scored advanced tech in all areas except online learning.
    Within each grade level cluster (K-2, 3-5), Technology Application
     TEKS are mastered by 51 to 85% of the students.
    Most teachers customize several web-based lessons which include
     online TEKS-based content, resources, learning activities and
     interactive communication that support learning objectives.

What is Texas Campus STaR?  It is an online school and technology readiness tool to aid for planning and self assessing to align technology with the Long-Range Plan for Technology 2006-2020.  It assists in the measurement of the impact of state and local efforts to improve student learning through the use of technology as specified in No Child Left Behind.  It also identifies needs for on-going professional development and raises awareness of research-based instructional goals. Teaching and Learning TL1 TL2 TL3 TL4 TL5 TL6 Total Frequency/Design Technology Student Mastery of Patterns of Content Area of Instructional Applications (TA) Technology Online Learning Classroom use Connections Setting TEKS Applications 3 3 3 Implementation 3 3 2 17  Scored advanced tech in all areas except online learning.  Within each grade level cluster (K-2, 3-5), Technology Application TEKS are mastered by 51 to 85% of the students.  Most teachers customize several web-based lessons which include online TEKS-based content, resources, learning activities and interactive communication that support learning objectives.

  • 11. Summary  Increased our scores in each area since 2006-2007.  Consistently lower in the area of Educator Preparation and Development.  Create a campus plan to increase all areas that scored a 2 (developing tech).  Review the STaR Chart data next year.
