This document introduces educational data mining in relation to educational statistics in Nepal. It lists the members of the team, provides some key statistics on schools and education budgets in Nepal, and notes that current education reports are inaccessible and unmanaged. It then defines educational data mining as a new methodology for manipulating educational data that started in 2008, making this team the first to introduce it to Nepal. The document includes maps and charts analyzing repetition rates, pupil-teacher ratios, and an educational development index for different areas of Nepal. It also performs a cluster analysis and asks how to move further with this work.
