A successful polymer flood was conducted in Courtenay sand of Chateaurenard Field located in south of Paris, France. The objective of the study is to conduct parametric sensitivity analysis of polymer flooding using a compositional simulator developed at University of Texas. The simulator called UTCHEM was used for this purpose. Oil recovery was dominated by factors such as polymer adsorption, fractional flow and heterogeneity.

Treatment of wastewater from petrochemical plants can be a challenging and costly matter; particularly when needing to comply with the requirements of operational permits and national environmental legislation governing the discharge of treated wastewater into community treatment plants or natural water bodies such as rivers, lakes and oceans.
A presentation by Mike Vincent, petroleum engineer and consultant with Insight Consulting, delivered in early May 2014 at an SPE local chapter meeting in Horseheads, NY. Mike reveals a great deal of information learned over the past 10 years or so of active hydraulic fracturing of shale wells across the U.S. These slides are loaded with hints, tips and superb data to help those in the industry do a better job with fracing and refracing.

Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
