§ Experience View (aka New Homepage)
– All-new workflow to help non-expert users identify and triage problems
– Ties together user experience with the problems that cause the experience to be poor
– Includes a notebook for evidence
§ Assisted Triage
– Powers the new experience view
– Uses differential analysis to determine suggested causes of common problems
– First phase of “CA APM expert in a box”
– Differential analysis enhanced to support stalls and errors
– Problems and anomalies will be decorated with MDA (Most Distinguishing Attribute) to
help users understand what distinguishes this problem from everything else in the
system…to speed triage

§ Targeted to help CA APM operations user "Pete" in his daily monitoring efforts
§ Homepage concentrates around the business/user impact of transactions monitored by CA
APM, focusing in “Experiences” which is a collection of one or more business transactions
§ Assisted Triage is a contextualization engine and thus an intelligent story generator
§ To help Pete, Assisted Triage creates stories about events in his monitoring system with
supporting evidence
§ Stories are categorized into problems or anomalies when displayed in home page
§ Stories having effect on user experience are then shown as problems section otherwise
