This document provides a project synopsis for a "Highway Speed Checker" device. The speed checker uses infrared LED sensors spaced 1 meter apart to measure the time it takes a vehicle to pass between the sensors. It can then calculate the vehicle's speed and sound an alarm if the speed exceeds the maximum limit of 200 kph. If a fast moving vehicle exceeds the speed limit, an alarm will sound and the traffic control unit will be notified to help control accidents on highways and ensure driver safety using a relatively simple design compared to existing speed tracking methods.
