Vehicle Speed Estimation using Haar Classifier Algorithmijtsrd
An efficient traffic management system is needed in all kinds of roads, such as off roads, highways, etc... Though several laws and speed controller has been attached to the vehicles, Speed limit may vary from road to road. Still Traffic management system faces different kinds of challenges everyday and its being a research area though number of proposals has been identified. Many numbers of methods has been proposed in computer Vision and machine learning approaches for object tracking. In this paper vehicles are identified and detected using a videos that taken from surveillance camera. The objective of the present work is to identification of the vehicles is done by using Computer vision technique and detection of vehicles using Haar cascade classifier. Detecting the vehicles using machine learning and estimating speed is tough but beneficial task. For the past few tears Convolution Neural Network CNN has been widely used in computer vision for vehicle detection and identification. This method manages to track multiple objects at real time using dlibs. P. Devi Mahalakshmi | Dr. M. The project is designed to develop a density based dynamic traffic signal system having remote override facilities. During normal time the signal timing changes automatically on sensing the traffic density at the junction but in the event of any emergency vehicle like ambulance, fire brigade etc. requiring priority are built in with RF remote control to override the set timing by providing instantaneous green signal in the desired direction while blocking the other lanes by red signal for some time. Traffic congestion is a severe problem in many major cities across the world thus it is felt imperative to provide such facilities to important vehicles.
Conventional traffic light system is based on fixed time concept allotted to each side of the junction which cannot be varied as per varying traffic density. Junction timings allotted are fixed. Sometimes higher traffic density at one side of the junction demands longer green time as compared to standard allotted time. The proposed system using a PIC microcontroller duly interfaced with sensors, changes the junction timing automatically to accommodate movement of vehicles smoothly avoiding unnecessary waiting time at the junction. The sensors used in this project are IR, are in line of sight configuration across the loads to detect the density at the traffic signal. The override feature is activated by an on board RF transmitter operated from the emergency vehicle.

Design and Construction of Speed Detection System for Vehiclesijtsrd
The objective of this paper is to detect the over speed for vehicles on the highway road. Although the maximum speed limit on the highway, many accidents keep on because of over speed driving. It is necessary to solve these problems through electronics circuit. This paper describes speed detection system for vehicles. The highway traffic police are easy to check over speed by using this system. This system mainly consists of Arduino UNO, two IR sensors MD 0138 Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor , 1602A LCD display and buzzer. The detected speed is displayed on LCD. Moreover, if the vehicle crosses the limited speed, this system displays the condition of over speed on LCD and the buzzer is alarmed. Improvement of Traffic Monitoring System by Density and Flow Control For Indi...IJSRD
The growth and scale of vehicles today makes management of traffic a constant problem. The existing traffic control system works based on a timing mechanism, meaning an equal time slot is provided for each junction. This is inefficient for non-uniform flow of vehicles. Hence there is a need for a system which is adaptive in nature. Routes should have an option of being granted more time slots depending on the requirements for the given route. This paper proposes a traffic congestion control system which would be adaptive in nature and provide time slot to each route based on traffic density.

Accidents due to rash driving on highways are on the rise and people are losing their lives because of others mistakes.
In the present system, to detect rash driving the police has to use a handheld radar gun and then aim at the vehicle to record its speed.
If the speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed limit, nearest police station is informed to stop the speeding vehicle.
This is an ineffective process as after detecting one has to inform the same and a lot of time is wasted.

Anti-Smog Radar Application for VehiclesIJMREMJournal
Smog is regarded as a dangerous situation for vehicles as the visibility of human fails and a person cannot
drive smoothly and safely which can lead to severe accidents and routine disturbances. Hence, “Anti-Smog
Radar Application for Vehicles” is proposed using Internet of Things technology which ensures the smooth flow
of vehicles in smog and prevents accidents in time and cost-efficient manner by detecting and displaying the
front objects with their important information (distance, position, velocity and size) on smart phone used by
authenticated drivers. The radar application controls the hardware system to be deployed on vehicles through
which the user can start, stop and set the hardware in particular direction. The hardware contains NodeMcu
(Microcontroller with built-in Wi-Fi), Ultrasonic sensor and servo motor. The servo is used to detect the
position of front objects and ultrasonic sensor is clipped on servo to detect the objects. For alerts, the objects
are drawn with different colors on application i.e. the red colored objects will be near to the vehicle, the yellow
colored objects will be at some distance from the vehicle and the green colored objects will be far from the
vehicle. Kalman algorithm is used to filter the ultrasonic readings to eliminate the noise. The proposed system
can work in every condition i.e. in day and night.
Implementation of Doppler Radar Based Vehicle Speed Detection Systemijtsrd
Nowadays, vehicular accidents have been increasing from day to day. Most of them are the cause of over speeding. This thesis describes the Arduino based vehicle speed detection system using Doppler radar. The primary goal of this system is to design of the vehicle speed detector using Doppler radar which is used to reduce the amount of accidents caused by over speeding. In this system, continuous wave CW Doppler radar which is a special case that only provides a velocity output is used as a sensor and the microcontroller is used to calculate the speed of the vehicle. Moreover, the amplifier is used to amplify the voltage level to drive the microcontroller as the sensor output is in micro volts. It is also included LCD display to indicate the speed level. A Doppler radar that can determine the frequency shift that occurs in electromagnetic waves due to the motion of scatters toward or away from the observer through measurement of the phase change that occurs in electromagnetic waves during a series of pulses. The Doppler frequency is negative for objects receding from the radar. The Doppler frequency is positive for objects approaching the radar. This system can be acceptable in real time applications because it is independent of temperature, humidity, noise airflow, dust, light, etc. The results of design are tested and follow through realization. Each of the implementation is evaluated and these evaluations lead to the conclusion that the design is able to achieve high accuracy of the speed. The major components of the design are Doppler radar HB100 , Arduino Uno, LCD display and LM324. C programming language is developed in this system. The results of this work can improve the performance of automobile safety system. Abstract Traffic congestion on city road networks is one of the main issues to be addressed by today’s traffic management schemes. The frequent traffic jams at major junctions call for an efficient traffic management system in place. The image sequences from a camera are analyzed using edge detection technique, object counting method and queue length estimation to obtain the most efficient technique. Subsequently, the number of vehicles at the intersection is evaluated and traffic is efficiently managed. The paper also proposes to implement a real-time emergency vehicle detection system. In case an emergency vehicle is detected, the lane is given priority over all the others. Using image-processing operations to calculate traffic density is cost effective as cameras are cheaper and affordable devices compared to any other devices such as sensors. Keywords: Edge detection, Object counting, vehicle queue length, traffic management, image processing.

It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

VEHICLE OVER SPEED DETECTION ON HIGHWAYS
ABSTRACT
The aim of this project is to develop a device that detects over speeding of vehicle on highways
and alerts traffic authorities in case of any speed limit violation. In the present conventional
system, handheld radar gun is used to detect and record a vehicle's speed is an ineffective
method.
The proposed system checks an over speeding vehicle or rash driving by calculating the speed of
the passing vehicle using the time taken to travel between two set points (at a fixed distance). A
set point consists of a pair of sensors comprising an IR transmitter and an IR receiver and each
pair is installed on either side of the road at a fixed distance. Speed limit is set by the police
people who use the system depending upon the traffic at that location. Time taken by a vehicle to
travel from one set point to the other is calculated by control circuit. Based on that time, the
system then calculates speed and displays it on a seven-segment display. Moreover, if the vehicle
crosses the set speed limit, a buzzing sound alerts the police.
This concept can be extended in future by integrating a camera with the system that will capture
the image of the number plate of the vehicle and send it to the traffic authorities.
