9. 3. Coconut timber
The oldest trees are harvested and used. None of them bear fruit at 60 –
80 years old, which means that they would be dying soon anyway. Also,
unlike other types of wood that are harvested for production, coconut
trees grow rapidly within only a few years. Usually the trees take 5-6
years to become ready to bear fruit, which is great for producers of
sustainable lumber. These two factors help the sustainability aspect of
coconut palm for use in the house for flooring or other aspects of the
house.
Costs for coconut palm are greatly reduced in comparison with many of
the other woods. Its wood is reminiscent in appearance to mahogany;
and much more fibrous grain. Coconut trees have no annual growth rings,
rays, heartwood or branches, meaning that coconut timber is free from
knots and other such imperfections.

11. 4. Green concrete
Fly ash is a by-product of coal-burning power plants, and in the past,
almost 75% of fly ash produced made its way to landfills. Recycled fly
ash, when mixed with lime and water, forms a compound similar to
Portland cement and is extremely strong and durable. High-volume fly
ash concrete displaces more than 25% of the cement used in traditional
concrete, reducing the amount of emissions needed to make the concrete
mix.
Replacing energy-consuming Portland cement with recyclable materials
and minerals offers two distinct benefits to the environment. It
significantly reduces the amount of CO2 released into the atmosphere
and it minimizes massive landfill disposal. Concrete can also incorporate
recycled products, such as crushed glass, bits of recycled plastic, marble
chips and metal shavings. Concrete itself can also be recycled at the end
of its long service life.

13. 5. Natural woolen carpet
Carpets made from unsustainable products can catch mites and insects
and germs and lead to poor IAQ which can be a risk to human health.

best choices for soft flooring till today. They also acts as filter by
