Audience Research 
Questionnaire-Film Consumption 
 What is your favorite film trailer? 
 How many film trailers do you normally watch in a month? 
 Where do you watch film trailers? 
 What are the genres of the film trailers that you watch the most? 
 What is the worst film trailer you have ever watched? 
 Have you ever been persuaded to watch a film trailer or a movie by a friend 
Or relative? 
 Did you enjoy the film/film trailer? 
 Do you sometimes watch film trailers because a certain actor/actress you 
like is acting in the film? Example? 
 Do you comment on film trailers? 
 Do you like or dislike film trailers? 
I printed out 18 copies of this questionnaire and I got people to answer the 
questions. By doing this I found out that: 
 3/18 people comment and press the like and dislike buttons on 
trailers on YouTube 
 13/18 people watch films/film trailers because a certain actor or 
actress they like is acting in the film. It was mainly females who 
answered this question with a yes and gave me an example 
 18/18 people have been persuaded to watch a film/trailer by a friend 
or relative, and 15/18 people enjoyed the recommendation
 11/18 people struggled with answering the worst film trailer 
question, they said they don’t know 
 At least one of 9/18 people’s favorite genre is horror. They had more 
favorite genres but horror was one of them 
 16/18 people watch film trailers on YouTube, the two people who 
don’t watch trailers on YouTube, who watch them on the Television 
are Teachers 
 14/18 people said they watch about 3/4/5 trailers in a month, the 
remaining people said that they watch more 
 18/18 people answered the favorite film trailer question easily, there 
were a few similar answers, for example Annabelle, The fault In our 
Stars, and 21/22 Jump Street
