Survey Analysis
In the survey I asked about
the audiences gender, and
over 70% turned out to be
girls. As the majority of the
people who took the survey
is girls, my magazine will
mainly be focused on a
female audience.
80% of the people who
answered my survey is
between 15 and 17. I’ll
have to make a music
magazine with artist that
are relevant to this age
group. As the people who
answered my survey is
mostly girls between the
age of 15 and 17, I’ll add
things like boy bands and
’Exclucive’ interviews with
them. Girls often have a lot
of favorite artists at this
age so I think a lot of
people would buy the
magazine if there is free
posters in it.
This question had multiple
choices so the person who
did the survey didn`t have to
stick to a certain genre of
music, therefor giving a
more varied and accurate
answer.
My magazine will be focused
on pop music, and the songs
and albums in the top
charts. The articles and
interviews will feature
popular stars in the rising.
Most of the people who
answered the survey don`t
even read magazines, so I
have to look at the other
answers even though they
are not in majority.
Right behind never, comes
Once a year with 25%.
I could make a festival
magazine that comes out
once a year with
information about all the
festivals and the artists, but
as most of the people who
answered my survey were
between 15 and 17, some
of them might not be old
enough to attend festivals.
That’s why I think I`d rather
publish the magazine once
a month
Spotify was the most
popular choice with
65.71% followed by
Phone/iPod/Mp3 with
14.29%
Since most people use
spotify my magazine could
have it`s own playlist with
the newest music that the
readers could subscribe
to. The readers would also
get the opportunity to win
a monthly subscription,
something to draw the
readers in and make them
want to buy the magazine.
I asked them to tell me their favourite
group/artist/band so I could see what kind of artist I
could write about. I got a lot of artist that are really
relevant right now like; Justin Bieber, Sam smith, One
direction, Adele, Beyonce and Lady Gaga. I also got a
lot of famous rappers. These are all people who are
at the top of the charts right now and loved by
people all over the world. I could have interviews,
random facts and posters with a lot of these artist.
Girls will run to buy a magazine if they see headlines
with their favourite artists names, so I’ll play a lot on
this factor.

Survey analysis

  • 2. In the survey I asked about the audiences gender, and over 70% turned out to be girls. As the majority of the people who took the survey is girls, my magazine will mainly be focused on a female audience.
  • 3. 80% of the people who answered my survey is between 15 and 17. I’ll have to make a music magazine with artist that are relevant to this age group. As the people who answered my survey is mostly girls between the age of 15 and 17, I’ll add things like boy bands and ’Exclucive’ interviews with them. Girls often have a lot of favorite artists at this age so I think a lot of people would buy the magazine if there is free posters in it.
  • 4. This question had multiple choices so the person who did the survey didn`t have to stick to a certain genre of music, therefor giving a more varied and accurate answer. My magazine will be focused on pop music, and the songs and albums in the top charts. The articles and interviews will feature popular stars in the rising.

  • 6. Most of the people who answered the survey don`t even read magazines, so I have to look at the other answers even though they are not in majority. Right behind never, comes Once a year with 25%. I could make a festival magazine that comes out once a year with information about all the festivals and the artists, but as most of the people who answered my survey were between 15 and 17, some of them might not be old enough to attend festivals. That’s why I think I`d rather publish the magazine once a month

Spotify was the most popular choice with 65.71% followed by Phone/iPod/Mp3 with 14.29% Since most people use spotify my magazine could have it`s own playlist with the newest music that the readers could subscribe to. The readers would also get the opportunity to win a monthly subscription, something to draw the readers in and make them want to buy the magazine.

  • 13. I asked them to tell me their favourite group/artist/band so I could see what kind of artist I could write about. I got a lot of artist that are really relevant right now like; Justin Bieber, Sam smith, One direction, Adele, Beyonce and Lady Gaga. I also got a lot of famous rappers. These are all people who are at the top of the charts right now and loved by people all over the world. I could have interviews, random facts and posters with a lot of these artist. Girls will run to buy a magazine if they see headlines with their favourite artists names, so I’ll play a lot on this factor.
