A focus group was conducted with three girls aged 15-19 to inform the creation of a new pop music magazine targeting their demographic. They preferred a magazine cover featuring multiple popular artists in colorful, eye-catching designs. They also favored a name that seemed sophisticated ("Pop-It") and contents presented with both attractive images and descriptive text. Their feedback supported using girly colors with both male and female cover stars to draw interest from a wide readership. Pretty images and designs were seen as important for attracting readers to explore the magazine.
