This document summarizes the key themes that emerged from discussions at a climate change expert group meeting regarding designing a flexible and durable 2015 international climate agreement. The themes included emphasizing cooperation, incentives, and inclusiveness; considering alternative terms to "adjustments"; different approaches to domestic policymaking and long-term goals; clarifying timeframes and roles for contribution periods; using implementation information as a policy lever; and creative ways to discourage backsliding while embracing broader actors.
