And who wants better advice than “spell better” and “use key words”.

In this Slideshare I will give you ideas to:
Help you write your advert better
Get your job seen and attract passive talent
Ensure that people who apply for your role are appropriate.
This webinar is for recruiters who want better applications for their jobs and want some proper, practical advice.

Google+ - that formidable bit of kit that you feel a little weird about?
The kit that often leaves me feeling “all the gear no idea?” when I look at some recruiters and their approach to it.
Perhaps (you’re normal) and can’t quite put your finger on what it will do for you?
Not sure if it should be part of your “mix”?
I attended InboundUK last year and the massively influential (LinkedIn Influencer) Gary Vaynerchuk was a keynote speaker.
Someone in the audience had the audacity ask about Google+.
Time slowed down…
I held my breath…
I’d been waiting for someone to talk “sense” about it…
Yes, it’s clever, beautifully built (in my humble view), stands on everyone’s shoulders, is linked to every system (it seems) out there…
But a recruiting system? Really? Do recruiters, who on the whole really haven’t got to grips with LinkedIn, Twitter and their own internal CRM/ATS, really have time for ANOTHER social system…?
And Gary said…
I’m waiting for Google+ to become important
I flippin’ fell off of my chair.
Oh, go on then!
It would be remiss of me to totally blank Google+ - I do use it myself – I really like it.
It has some “cool” features. It’s a very “connected” system. Yes, it’s more “social” than LinkedIn, but in the real world the average candidate and clients is more “G+” (informal) than “LinkedIn” (formal) in terms of their normal behaviour…
So why is it so good?

What Every Professional Should Know About Planning to Network_TuesdayStrong.comTuesday Strong
Given that jobs are in ‘visible’ and ‘invisible’ markets it’s best to ensure you know how to access both if you are searching for a new career begin with a networking plan. The visible job market can be found online, in newspapers, job boards, company websites, advertisements, etc. The invisible job market is accessible only through other individuals—networking provides access to this market.
Do you have a network of professionals who know you for your ability to use your skills in a variety of roles across industries? Remember it’s not just who you know—it’s who knows you and what you’re capable of. If cutbacks were to occur at your company, would they avoid letting you go? Are you someone who does a “good” job but isn’t well known? Can you really afford not to position yourself for being known for the work you’ve done and for the work you’re capable of?
If you are looking for a new career or job networking can save you time, money, and energy if you begin with a plan. Many individuals jump right in and assume they are taking the best approach to networking. This may include developing a pitch, participating in weekly networking events, connecting online, etc. Attendance at many events is expected of certain positions and can be tremendously valuable to your career. If you are looking for a new career or job you should create a plan that positions you to connect with individuals at the companies who can get to “know you, like you, and pay you”.

Note from Maria Pafioli, CVexperts speaker:
"I presented particular techniques on how to design and build an effective CV for the students and graduates of the Department of Informatics. When it comes to jobs in the IT sector there is a certain format that will make sure your CV is picked up by a prospective employer. We talked about the particular Format - Technical Table (technologies you know) - Experience - Achievements - Hobbies/Interests (do not leave these out because they can provide some discussion points with your interviewers and give them a better feel for your personality - however they should be presented in the end of the CV very shortly).
Extra tips when preparing your CV:
- Your CV can be up to 2 pages in length.
- Take your time when preparing your CV.
- If there are any gaps in your CV give a brief explanation why (Traveling for a year, maternity leave etc) and be prepared to back everything up when being interviewed.
- Include online project portfolio or project showcase. In case you do not have it, prepare one.
After preparing your CV you should ask yourself:
- Does my CV look clear, neat and concise?
- Are there any spelling mistakes?
- Is my CV a close match to the job description?
- How does someone feel reading my CV?
- And finally, would I give myself the job?

Parabolic antenna alignment system with Real-Time Angle Position FeedbackStevenPatrick17
Introduction
Parabolic antennas are a crucial component in many communication systems, including satellite communications, radio telescopes, and television broadcasting. Ensuring these antennas are properly aligned is vital for optimal performance and signal strength. A parabolic antenna alignment system, equipped with real-time angle position feedback and fault tracking, is designed to address this need. This document delves into the components, design, and implementation of such a system, highlighting its significance and applications.
Importance of Parabolic Antenna Alignment
The alignment of a parabolic antenna directly affects its performance. Even minor misalignments can lead to significant signal loss, which can degrade the quality of the received signal or cause communication failures. Proper alignment ensures that the antenna's focal point is accurately directed toward the signal source, maximizing the antenna's gain and efficiency. This precision is especially crucial in applications like satellite communications, where the antenna must track geostationary satellites with high accuracy.
Components of a Parabolic Antenna Alignment System
A parabolic antenna alignment system typically includes the following components:
Parabolic Dish: The primary reflector that collects and focuses incoming signals.
Feedhorn and Low Noise Block (LNB): Positioned at the dish's focal point to receive signals.
Stepper or Servo Motors: Adjust the azimuth (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) angles of the antenna.
Microcontroller (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi): Processes sensor data and controls the motors.
Potentiometers: Provide feedback on the antenna's current angle positions.
Fault Detection Sensors: Monitor for potential faults such as cable discontinuities or LNB failures.
Control Software: Runs on the microcontroller, handling real-time processing and decision-making.
Real-Time Angle Position Feedback
Real-time feedback on the antenna's angle position is essential for maintaining precise alignment. This feedback is typically provided by potentiometers or rotary encoders, which continuously monitor the azimuth and elevation angles. The microcontroller reads this data and adjusts the motors accordingly to keep the antenna aligned with the signal source.
Fault Tracking in Antenna Alignment Systems
Fault tracking is vital for the reliability and performance of the antenna system. Common faults include cable discontinuities, LNB malfunctions, and motor failures. Sensors integrated into the system can detect these faults and either notify the user or initiate corrective actions automatically.
Design and Implementation
1. Parabolic Dish and Feedhorn
The parabolic dish is designed to reflect incoming signals to a focal point where the feedhorn and LNB are located. The dish's size and shape depend on the specific application and frequency range.
2. Motors and Position Control
Stepper motors or servo motors are used to control the azimuth and elevation of
