An aquafarm is a place to cultivate fish or shellfish under controlled conditions. Site selection and construction are crucial factors affecting the operating efficiency of the farm, thereby influencing initial capital costs, operating costs and level of yield. During this study tour, our focus was on the intriguing subject of "Aquafarm Design and Construction." As aspiring fisheries professionals, we had the remarkable opportunity to explore the intricacies of various aqua-farm systems, gain insights into their design principles, and delve into the fascinating processes involved in their construction. This hands-on experience enriched our theoretical knowledge, providing us with valuable real-world perspectives.
