The student enjoyed creating the setting and main character for their thriller story. They found planning the plot challenging but had the idea to make the characters strong and unable to die. During drafting, the student struggled to write dialogue and generate ideas but learned from peer workshops. In the digital phase, the student was proud to share their movie and learned new iMovie skills like adding background music. They collaborated well in groups, sharing ideas, and developed drawing, writing, and technology skills throughout the unit.

1. Story-telling Reflection
My Story is called
The Planning Phase:
I chose to write a thriller genre because its one of my favorite genres and I
know all about thrillers cause I see thriller movies.
The most interesting thing about my main character is thathes the main
charater in the story and hes a powerful guy and I like strong people in the
story and that beat the bad guys.I enjoyed creating the setting because it
makes things like it was real and it is nice for me to write a story.While making
my plot diagram, I found it difficult towrite it because it was hard to get such
juicy ideas for my story.My best idea during planning washaving all of us never
dying and all of us being really strong characters.While planning this story I
learned to write great ideas and makenotes .
The Drafting Phase:
It was difficult to write my story because it was hard getting great ideas and
writing my story.I am proud of my story because it helps me know a lot of
dialogue and how to write a story.During the Writing Workshops, I became
better at drawing cartoons. If I wrote it again, I would improve my story
bywriting a dialogue and drawing better pictures.
The Digital Phase:
I am proud of my movie becauseI geot to show some people my movie and
some parents and people liked some of my movie.I found it easy to create the
storyboard because it was easy to pop out an idea maybe sometimes hard
when you’re out of ideas.My role was to be the illustrator because I like to
draw and it is my hobby to draw. While making the movie, I learned many new
technology skills in iMovie. I became much better at putting the back ground
and putting the music in Imovie. If I made the movie again, I would try to make
some more detail parts to the illustrations.
Collaboration:
Sometimes, I enjoyed group work because we all got to get some great ideas
and it makes us all collaborate. While working in a group, I learned to
calaberate and share ideas. During the unit, our group became better drawing,
script writing and other computer skills.
What else?
During this story-telling unit I especially enjoyed working all together. After this
unit, I might continue to write a story about my next unit and write a story
about it.
