Reminiscences Of The Cuban Revolution Summary
The book, Reminiscences of the Cuban Revolution by Ernesto Che Guevara is a firsthand account of
the Cuban insurgency in the Sierra Maestra. Guevara s recollections about the revolution provide
important information about the challenges the rebels faced when they first landed in Cuba as well as
the diverse roles the peasantry played during the insurgency. Also, Che illustrates why the Cuban army
was unable to defeat the rebels and the advantages and limitations of waging guerrilla warfare in the
Sierra Maestra.
When the rebels landed in Cuba they faced many difficult challenges. The Granma Expedition from
Mexico took seven days and most of the men experienced severe seasickness as well as constant
hunger due to the lack of food onboard. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The rebels had superior knowledge about the geography of the Sierra Maestra, which allowed them to
stay off the army s radar until they were ready to attack. The insurgents also had significantly less
combatants and inferior weapons than the army so the Sierra Maestra, with its numerous hiding places
proved to be a perfect place to set up ambushes and made retreating easy. Another advantage of
fighting in the Sierra Maestra was the harsh weather. The enemy soldiers were more concerned with
the rain than with the possibility of an attack. The rain, cold and mosquitos demoralized the army
troops who were not used to living in such harsh conditions. Also, Batista could never send his full
army to crush the insurgency in the Sierra Maestra because doing so would leave the cities vulnerable
to other rebel groups looking to overthrow him. However, waging guerilla warfare in the Sierra
Maestra also had its limitations. The rebels had limited manpower and firearms while the army had
thousands of soldiers and top notch weaponry provided by the United States. Guerilla warfare in the
Sierra Maestra also limited the rebels ability to have influence in Havana where other rebel groups
such as the Revolutionary Directorate operated. Another limitation of guerilla warfare in the Sierra
Maestra was the inability to attack and occupy major cities such as Havana and Santa Clara, which
would have sped up the

National Labor Relations Act Research Paper
There are several million undocumented immigrants employed in the United States (Burton, 2015).
Even though the labor market has changed, the original National Labor Relations Act has not. The
NLRA provide legal protection to employees to not be terminated for participate in organizing a
union. NLRA created a blanket enforcement of NLBA rights equal for undocumented workers and
U.S. citizens (Zdravecky Hass, 2014). The law does not expressly detail terms who is considered an
employee of an employer. The original intent of the law was to provide protection to anyone regularly
employed in the U.S. The actions of the NLRA board makes it clear the board felt that undocumented
workers deserved equal protection for the NLRA. If employer was ... Show more content on

Employment opportunities are chief reason illegal aliens come into the United States. NLBA gave
balance of protection to undocumented workers the same as U.S. citizens. Since back pay or
reinstatement is not a remedy the NLRB to correct violations, this gives employers an incentive to
violate the IRCA. The purpose of the Immigration Reform and Control Act is to make it a violation of
the law to hire an employee not authorized to work in the United States. However enforcement of this
law until recent years has not been robust. The court system or congress will need to fix these
loopholes in the current laws to close these gaps. The way the law is created at this time gives an
unfair advantage to employers who want to ignore current immigration laws. Undocumented workers
can be paid lower wages and place in unsafe working conditions without any way to find remedy for
those violations under the current law. The current law does not allow for undocumented immigrant
protection from discrimination and labor relations violations. It is an economic disadvantage for
employers to follow current immigration laws (Layne, 2011). Once the legally immigration laws are
addressed and the conflicts, there is balance based on continued employment of undocumented
workers versus legal citizens. Many times once undocumented immigrants are unemployed, they will
migrate to another location to seek employment. Since employment opportunities and avoiding

David Role Model
Lastly, I find David as an important role model in the Old Testament, as well as Abraham because he
was a King, a man after God s own heart, a unifier, a warrior, and a man with great flaws. David had it
all, musical talent, physical strength, and boundless bravery. David reigned as king of Israel for forty
years, dying at age 70 in 837 BCE. His first and foremost drive was to have a relationship with God.
David was chosen especially by God, for the Lord commanded Samuel to look for him saying, Do not
consider his appearance or his height (1 Samuel 16:7). Upon Samuel s anointing of David, the
scripture notates, And from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came upon David in power (1 Samuel
16:13). David was also known as a great conqueror, as in the incident with Goliath when he makes a
great triumph by cutting off Goliath s head with Goliath s own sword. David trusts God against all
odds, and to whom God gives great success. David was described as a man after God s own heart (1
Samuel 13:14). The Old Testament not only displays David s heroic deeds, such as ... Show more

All Christians are offered a kingdom, just as David was offered a kingdom. The kingdom is your own
life, which is like the instance of the kingdom of Israel. There are enemies compromising it from the
outside; the enemies threatening from within to sabotage it. King David of Israel was never able to
eliminate the Philistines, the Ammonites, the Jebusites, the Perizzites and all the others. This forms a
picture for us of those internal enemies that threaten to undermine and eradicate control that God aims
for us to have, as we struggle and learn to control throughout in life by Jesus Christ. The only
difference is we call our enemies jealously, lust, envy, resentment, bitterness, anxiety, and worry along
with all the other negative emotions or feeling that we may encounter in our daily walk through

The Vaccine Of Autism Connection
The Vaccine to Autism Connection
It is amazing how much Americans trust doctors and more shocking, vaccines. Vaccines are injections
we receive from the moment we are born and throughout our lives that are meant to keep our bodies
from contracting various. A baby born in a hospital today can be given up to six shots before the
mother is even in a place where she can conciously tell the doctor whether she is okay with that or not.
It can take years to become aware of, but the early exposure to the unnatural substances that make up
vaccines can lead to a disorder called autism. While many
Americans view vaccines positively for their adequate ability to prevent illness, the rise of autism in
the nation and its link to vaccines is reason enough to try to change our tactics for trying to stay
healthy.
Autism is a developmental disorder with symptoms including defects in coordination and motor skills,
visual disturbances, and immune suppression. What researchers like Larry Trivieri
Jr. have realized over the last decade is these symptoms are extremely similar to the effects of mercury
poisoning. Mercury makes up 50% of Thimersal, a preservative found in vaccines; The increases in
the occurrence of autism are closely linked to the widespread use of thimersalcontaining vaccines,
says Trivieri. While the possible link between autism and vaccines is clear, the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention (CDC) claim there is no link but have yet to thoroughly investigate the issue

Analyzing the Success of Quentin Tarantino s Films
Quentin Tarantino s films have helped to redefine cinema. His postmodern approach, creative writing,
and extensive knowledge of films and music have helped Tarantino to develop a unique style that has
allowed him to stand out among his peers. In Pulp Fiction (1994), Tarantino establishes several
directorial trademarks that would come to be used in his later works and can clearly be seen
throughout the film. Furthermore, Tarantino s use of mise en scene helps to strengthen and establish
mood and setting. Tarantino not only directed Pulp Fiction (1994), but he also co wrote the screenplay
and played a role within the film. During the course of a film s production, a director is charged with
guiding the actors in performance, determines the staging of the action, supervises all aspects of
shooting, and works with the producer, writer, and designer before production and with the film and
sound editors after production to ensure consistency and excellence of the movie as well as the best
possible use of personnel, materials, and resources provided by the producer (Mast Kawin, 2003, p.
681). Tarantino s hands on approach in making his films ensure that he is involved in many, if not all,
aspects of the production of his films. There are also many others that contribute to the creation and
production of a film including an art director and production designer. An art director can be defined
as a person who designs a movie s sets and dà cor (Mast Kawin, 2003, p. 678).

Gravimetric Determination of Calcium
Gravimetric Determination of Calcium ABSTRACT Determining the mass of a pure compound is a
method of a gravimetric analysis. One of the gravimetric analyses is the precipitation; it is a method of
separating the analyte from the unknown sample as a precipitate where it will be filtered and
converted into a known composition that can be weighed to determine its mass (Skoog et al, 2013).
Determining the mass of calcium by using gravimetric analysis was the objective of the experiment. A
25 mL of unknown sample was used to analyze its calcium component. This sample was diluted with
25mL of distilled water in a beaker. It was converted into a soluble precipitate by adding 25 mL of
ammonium oxalate solution and 15 g of solid urea. Since ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We made sure to rinse the glass rod before removing it to the beaker. Then we added up 15 g of solid
urea to each sample. We boiled the solution for 30 minutes up until the indicator turns yellow. After
boiling, we filtered it each through a funnel. The remaining solid from the beaker will be transfer to
the funnel by adding 3mL of ice cold water to the beaker. We made sure that all of the precipitate has
been transferred. After that, we used 10 mL of ice cold water to rinse each beaker and pour the
washings over the precipitate. We transferred the precipitate in to the petridish, but before that we
weighted first the petridish with the filter paper so that we can get the grams of the CaC2O4 2H2O
precipitate later. We dried the precipitate in an oven set at 105oC for 1 hour. After that, we placed it
inside the desiccator for 30 minutes to cool down the heat. Then instantly we weigh the petridish with
CaC2O4 2H2O precipitate. In order to get the weight CaC2O4 2H2O precipitate, we subtracted the
mass of the petridish alone from the mass of the petridish with CaC2O4 2H2O precipitate. And for
determining the weight of Ca in the CaC2O4 2H2O precipitate, we use stoichiometry. We also
computed for the average weight of calcium. III. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION Sample No. Trial 1

Poverty And Importance Of Education
My hometown of Lawrence is a vibrant immigrant city, with its proud roots now riddled in poverty
and corruption. The poverty level in the city is one of the highest in Massachusetts, violent crime has
been on the rise for years, and the high school dropout rate is more than 50 percent. Growing up,
many of my classmates struggled with schoolwork as a result of the language barrier and lack of
funding for transitional bilingual education programs. Countless children, with limitless potential,
eventually learned to see the futility in participating in a system which had abandoned them. I was
lucky enough to be accepted into Bellesini Academy, a school which provides support for low income,
at risk inner city students and helps its students gain acceptance into private college preparatory high
schools on scholarship. Without this opportunity I am not sure what would have become of me. I
would not have been able to attend the Groton School and may not have been blessed with the
opportunity to attend Boston College. My experiences in the Lawrence education system continue to
shape my views on the importance of education, while inciting my political consciousness and
engagement in my community. I plan to further study education policy in graduate school and,
hopefully, be able to attain extensive knowledge of government policy in order to improve the
education standards in my hometown. I would love to be a member of my City Council after obtaining
my degree. In general, I know

Value chain is an approach to know how an item or activities create value for consumers. The most of
value provides to consumers, the most of competitive advantage an organization build. In this
analysis, value chain model has separated into primary and support activities. Primary activities are
included in the physical creation of the item and service. On the other hand, support activities give the
inputs and infrastructure that enable the primary activities to happen. This value chain model can be

Historical Background Of The American And Vietnamese Stock...
1. Background and introduction to the research
The stock market, which comprises various stock exchanges, plays a leading role in the function of the
financial market (Dziawgo, 2012, p.60). Since there are a great number of issues such as stock market
crashes and the bursting of other financial bubbles, Vietnam still has a number of crucial challenges to
attend to. In this research project, the researcher will outline the historical background of the American
and Vietnamese Stock markets, and investigate the major differences between the HSX and NYSE, in
terms of operations and trading systems. Through gathering this information, the researcher will be
able to recommend what HSX can learn from NYSE to improve the Vietnamese stock exchange in the
foreseeable future.
1.1 Background of American Stock Market
The New York Stock Exchange, the oldest and largest stock market, was founded in 1792. The major
objective of the NYSE is establishing a place where peoples can trade their bonds, stocks and other
investments (Fuentes, 2016). In the beginning, the stock exchange was established as a group of
traders that turned into an unincorporated membership, before becoming a for profit organization
(Waverly, 2016). NYSE is considered not only the largest stock exchange in terms of how many
dollars flow through it every day, but also a haven to various enterprises across the world (Fuentes,
2016). Currently, its worldwide capitalization is USD 21 trillion (Kiersz, 2014).

The Influence Of Soft Skills In The Military
Abstract
Soft skills influence mission success. We constantly work to maintain tactical and technical
proficiency, also known our hard skills. Hard skills are trainable and measurable. We must also
understand and develop those soft skill tools which are much harder to evaluate in training, but no less
important. The combination of these skill sets greatly enhance our ability to fight and win our nation s
wars. Cultural awareness, communication, and negotiation have always been needed during armed
conflict and will continue to do so. In a period of consistent conflict, with resources constraints, the
ability to utilize these skills is paramount.

Charles Colson
The everlasting tension between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of men draws Charles Colson,
the author of God and Government, to offer seasoned reflection from his experience. Colson was a
well known author, radio commentator, and a former presidential aide to Richard Nixon. As a former
atheist worker in the white house and a converted Christian, he highlights the concerns of the
involvement of religion in politics. Colson understands the possible dilemma of an individual in trying
to keep the Christian conscience while also following a politician s mandate. Unlike other Christian
conservatives, Colson has achieved strong political power in the past. It ruined his reputation, and he
is inoculated against it so he claims, It is power that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A personal anecdote regarding his experiences builds credibility and draws in interest since a former
politician, Colson, advises people to not be seduced by political powers. Colson s supposed focus of
the book seems to be that a country has an apparent need of biblical Christian values, but people
should not seek to impose them through political legislation; People can, however, seek to define their
rationality in a non biblical sense, and influence society to adopt them. Although the motive of the
book was to explore both sides of the dilemma in a neutral manner, Colson fails to offer an equally
balanced content. His usage of extreme evidence, events that are very rare, does not support his main
point as much. Colson illustrates the danger of media by stating that it turns every uncertified fact as
the truth, but that is not true in my opinion. Media gives an opportunity for people to build their own
opinions regardless of whether an incident is true or not, so criticizing the media weakens his
argument. Colson argues Christians are commanded to try to influence the kingdom of man by
bringing the values of the Kingdom of God to the political arena but in the beginning he claims that
Christians should not express their political stance as a group. As a reader, it is confusing to
understand the main

Sally Brampton Depression
Killing oneself is, anyway, a misnomer. We don t kill ourselves. We are simply defeated by the long,
hard struggle to stay alive. When somebody dies after a long illness, people are apt to say, with a note
of approval, He fought so hard. And they are inclined to think, about a suicide, that no fight was
involved, that somebody simply gave up. This is quite wrong. When Sally Brampton quoted this she
was going through a rough patch in her life fighting the demons of depression and alcoholism.
Sometimes people will have ways to control those demons or even fight them, in regards to Sally a
general understanding of her depression and alcoholism, along with the treatments that can be tried to
help her out, and how you can perceive the illness when it doesn t regard to yourself. Sally Brampton
was a successful magazine editor and prize winning journalist, In 1985 she launched Elle magazine in
the UK, but all of that was just a cover up with a glamorous career. Nobody knew how awful things
had gotten for her. Understanding depression varies from person to person. One person may
understand it and know what s going on, while another person will totally be lost and believe that you
are making everything up. While reading the book one particular quote stuck out to me, it helped me
understand depression more than I ever have ( Sometimes, says a fellow depressive, I wish I was in a

Diet For Infant s Gasteroesophasial Reflux
Hypoalergenic diet for infant s gasteroesophasial reflux: A Randomized, case controlled Trial
.Introduction Gastroesophageal reflux (GER) is defined as the passive movement of gastric contents
into the esophagus with or without regurgitation or vomiting. It is a physiologic state occurring several
times per day, with no symptoms.(1) . Episodes of regurgitation peaks at about 4 months of age (2).
and it resolves without treatment in 95 % of infants by 1 year of age. .(1) GER disease (GERD) occurs
when reflux of the gastric contents causes some complications, including failure to thrive, feeding or
sleeping problems, chronic respiratory disorders, irrtability , hematemesis, apnea, and life threatening
events.(1) . Infant with GERD needs intervention to resolve complications. The best method for
diagnosis is PH metry + multiple intraluminal impedance but is very difficult doing the procedure in
infants, so diagnosis of it is on base of sign and symptoms and excluding other pathologic causes of
vomiting and severe regurgitation(3) Some authors advised medical treatment for this purpose. They
believe that when infants suffer from any sign and symptoms of GERD more intensive management
like antisecretory agents, antiacids, surface barrier agents and prokinetics is needed.( 1, 3) Drug
treatment of gastroesophageal reflux includes antiacids, H2 blockers or PPIs(Proton pomp inhibitors).

Essay on Sociological Autobiography
My life started with my long and hard birth on July 14, 1993. I came into the world with a large
scream and was immediately placed into some sort of category. The doctors and nurses took a quick
look at me, and pronounced me as a girl. This social label of being a girl was now my gender, which is
something I had no say in. Every since that very moment in time where my parents were told I was a
girl, I have been treated according to my gender. This meant that my parents automatically dressed me
in pink, bought me dollhouses and kitchen sets and threw me Barbie themed birthday parties. Since I
was surrounded my whole entire life by these things, it was almost like second nature to think and act
the way that I did and still do. My ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

came over and grabbed them out of my hands, giving them back to the little boy I had taken them
from. She then explained to me that trucks were for boys not girls, and I should stick to using my pink
shovel and bucket set to make nice sandcastles. I didn t understand at that point what the big issue
was, it was just toys that were fun to play with, but I agreed with my grandmother because I didn t
want to get into trouble and from then on stuck to focusing on making sandcastles. I quickly forgot
about the trucks, and never again did I think to play with anything remotely like that. Little did I know
it, but that was one of the first examples of gender roles that I had been exposed too. Growing up, my
label of a female has given me both advantages and disadvantages. Having a younger brother has
given me a clearer view of how parents and family members socialize the both of us to act male or
female. Because I am a female, it was expected of me from a very early age to attend school and
university. There was never really a choice, it was either that or go straight into work, which was the
less pleasing option. However my brother is just expected to get his high school diploma and go work
for my father and take over our family business, which

Maslow s Hierarchy Of Needs For Waitrose
Maslow identified that employees have the motivation to achieve certain needs. Once these needs
have been achieved the employee will seek to fulfil the next set of needs.
The first set of needs are the physiological or biological needs. These needs include basic life needs
such as: air, food, drink, water, shelter, warmth or sleep. By offering employees an extremely fair
wage Waitrose employees are able to pay for their physiological needs such as food and shelter.
Waitrose allows its employees to have breaks for rest, in accordance with working time regulations
and also provides rest areas for employees to do so in. The employee discount that Waitrose
employees receive will help them to pay for their physiological needs such as food and drinks. ...

These needs include protection, security, law, limits, order or stability. Waitrose regularly perform
health and safety checks as well as fire safety checks in order to ensure employee safety by making
sure they know exactly what to do in case of an emergency. The long term financial security of
employees is protected by their pension scheme, which will help Waitrose employees to continue to be
able to pay for their physiological needs after retirement. Employees can also take comfort in the fact
that the business is doing well, as they don t need to worry about losing their job due to Waitrose
needing to make cuts.
The next set of needs are belongingness needs. This set of needs include family, affections,
relationships or colleagues. Waitrose promote a team environment by taking employees on leisure
activities. These excursions allow employees to get to know each other while taking part in leisure
activities that they will enjoy. Waitrose also help to satisfy these belongingness needs by allowing
their employees to become partners. This helps employees to feel that they belong as part of the
company. When the company does well, so does the

Essay on Perspectives of Pyschology
Part 1 Extended Response Psychoanalytic is the perspective that childhood sexuality and unconscious
motivations influence personality. It is accountable for the development of an introverted or
extroverted type of personality because if a person is unconsciously aware of their actions then it s
possible they do not have a lot of control over certain behaviors such as greed or pride. Also when
someone becomes fixated on any of the psychosexual stages then it can alter behaviors and will affect
personality as the child develops. So for example if a person has a very weak ego and a more
dominant superego or more dominant id then it can have a huge affect on their personality. If the
person is a do gooder then their superego will emit ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is accountable for the development of an introverted or extroverted type of personality because
behavior displayed in children is often expressed similarly when they get older. So for example if a
child is often misbehaving and always gets into trouble then it s possible they will begin to think
everything they do is wrong. As the child grows older he then becomes more shy and unsociable
creating an introverted type of personality. On the other hand, if a child is often misbehaving and the
other children laugh then its likely they will act out more to amuse those other children. As the
characteristics of this child develop then its probable they will have a more extroverted type of
personality. Heredity is also a factor in the trait perspective. If a family has a history of calm, reliable,
and quiet individuals then their offspring will have the same characteristics. Social cognitive is the
perspective that behaviors are learned by observing and modeling others and emphasizes the
importance of mental processes. It is accountable for the development of an introverted or extroverted
type of personality because what children learn when they are younger affect them as they grow older.
For example if a child looks up to someone who is very talkative and carefree then its likely they will
want to model the same behaviors. Such as, talking to the new kid at school and being very laidback.
As they grow older these behaviors will then

Essay about Understanding Depression
The term depression is widely misused in today s society. All human beings experience periods in life
where they are sad for a relatively short period of time, which is considered normal. Those who
experience sadness for extended periods may be suffering from depression. Two terms used to
reference the classifications of depression, are Major Depressive Disorder, and Dysthymia. Individual
diagnosis of these classifications is dependent on the length of time, and severity of symptoms
experienced by the individual. The causes for these depressive states can be due to genetics or the
insufficient production of neurotransmitters, which provide the brain with the data necessary to
regulate one s psychological well being. Two examples ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

companies to map the seafloor and explore ocean mysteries. The winner of this competition is set to
make a good amount of money as well.
NASA SAYS THEY CAN MAKE A STAR WARS DEATH STAR
What seems like a science fiction dream could soon be a reality. A NASA engineer, Brian Muirhead,
actually stated that the company could one day build their own Death Star. He states that this could be
possible because of asteroids. Muirhead says that asteroids would give them the necessary metals to
make it. Organic compounds, water, and all of the building blocks are present to eventually build a

It is truly amazing to think that an organization as big as NASA is even talking about Star Wars. Star

Netflix Inc. And Its International Global Operations...
Our business strategies can dictate our level of competitiveness and determine our level of
profitability. Our strengths, weakness, obstacles and threat analysis (SWOT) gives us a tangible
picture of company direction and assists in maintaining a competitive edge moving forward. However,
the level of strategic design for the global expansion efforts discussed today, will include a level of
complexities in planning, pertaining to the industry type and the major competitors introduced. We
will be examining Netflix Inc. and its international/global operations expansions abroad. Netflix Inc. s
company profiles indicates that its international market is responsible for 27% of the company s
revenue, and the expectation of expansion would increase the international market performance

A Short Note On The Constellation Of Cancer
Cancer (constellation) ♋
The constellation of Cancer is one of the 88 modern constellations: located between the constellations
Leo, Hydra and Gemini at between 07h 55m 19.7973s and 09h 22m 35.0364s right ascension and
33.1415138° and 6.4700689° declination. It is also one of the 12 Zodiac constellations and one of the
original 48 listed by the ancient Greek astronomer Ptolemy. Its name is Latin for crab and its
astrological symbol is ♋, which represents crab pincers. This constellation attracted my interest
because it contains a galaxy with a binary supermassive black hole system: OJ 287. The constellation
of Cancer as it can be seen in the sky.
In the mythology of The Twelve Labours of Heracles (or Hercules in Roman mythology) Cancer is a
crab sent by Hera to hinder Heracles in his fight against Hydra. Depending on the version of the story
Heracles either kicks Cancer so hard that the crab is stuck amongst the constellations, or he just
crushes Cancer by stomping on it and Hera places it in the sky for its bravery, but not in a bright part
of the sky because it did not complete its task (Cancer has only two stars brighter than the 4th
magnitude). Magnitude levels are levels of brightness, with lower numbered levels being brighter than
higher number levels (e.g. a magnitude level 1 is brighter than a magnitude 2). Some sources say that
cancer was a late addition to the story and that it was only included to make the 12 zodiac signs
coincide with the 12 Labours. A pot

Catastrophism
for uniformitarianism can be seen in rocks, sediment, and even in fossil records (Baker, 1998). The
earth has different layers, and different things are buried within those layers. People who adhere to the
old earth secular view believe that different layers of rock and sediment were formed over many years.
Since some areas of the earth have many different layers, it makes sense that it would have taken a
long time to form. Other evidence exists with fossils (Baker, 1998). There are many different species
of animal that currently live on earth. However, fossils show evidence of other species that are not
currently alive. In addition, fossils are buried in patterns that correspond to different time periods
(Baker, 1998). They hypothesize that species change over time through the process of evolution.
Different fossil records provide evidence for the theory of biological evolution (Baker, 1998).

Rather than assuming that physical laws always operated as they currently do, some people think that
the earth operated differently in the past. More specifically, they think that there were frequent major
catastrophes, and that those instances are what caused fossils and rocks to form in the way they did
(McClure, 2009, p. 191). Since such catastrophes happened relatively fast, it has led some people to
conclude that the earth is not as old as scientists think it is (McClure, 2009). Catastrophism also offers
an explanation for fossil records. Different species may be in different geological strata as a result of
major floods (McClure, 2009). Rather than being in a specific layer of rock as a result of living during
a time period, some people think that fossils are in certain layers of rock as a result of major floods.
Water levels rise and fall during floods, which is what some people have offered as an explanation for
why there are different layers of rock and different fossils that correspond to

Ethics And Ethics Of Business Ethics
In 2001, Enron a Houston based commodities energy and service corporation kept huge debts off the
balance sheets. This resulted in shareholders losing $74 billion, thousands of employees and investors
losing their retirement accounts and many employees lost their jobs (Accounting Degree.org, 2015).
Crane and Matten (2010) argue After all, despite many years of business ethics being researched and
taught in colleges and universities, ethics problems persist and the public remains sceptical of the
ethics of business . The big problem we face is that ethical standards are declining because of insider
trading of stocks and bonds, bribery, falsifying documents, deceptive advertising, defective products,
employee theft and questionable activities (Ferrell, Fraedrich, and Ferrell, 2001). So why, do
businesses continue to make these unethical decision when we universities teach ethics? In this essay
we will discuss what ethics is, why people have trouble making ethical decisions, why should we
teach ethics and why the public still remain sceptical about business ethics.
What is ethics?
Ethics is defined by Oxforddictionaries.com (2015) as moral principles that govern a person s
behaviour or the conducting of an activity. There is no such thing as an ethic when we are born. We
are taught ethical behaviours by our parents at a young age through religion, household values and the

This competitive mentality introduces the startling correlation between mental health and the legal
profession, and how the urge to be the best doesn t always end when the court is adjourned. Every day,
lawyers have to juggle the immense burden of pressure placed on them by their colleagues, clients,
and courtroom dramas; while this rather strenuous job does lend its way to alcoholism and other
means of coping, there are more effective ways of dealing with it, like first admitting that you have a
problem and finding someone who can help you. Alcoholism, a psychological disorder usually
associated with alcohol addiction/abuse in general, is by far the most prevalent mental health issue in
several high pressure careers across the country (Alcohol Abuse and Dependence, par. 1). Many well
respected doctors, politicians, and athletes have confessed to being tempted by the appropriately titled
demon in a bottle at some point in their careers. In many cases, it can be fought back with self
regulation, outside intervention, and in the worse possible scenario, withdrawal. However, alcoholism
factors much differently into the world of law, and in this case, different can be deadly. Success is held
to a different standard for the lawyer. In order to truly be successful, an attorney must have the drive to
give it their all, and put their heart and soul into every case. It s not just their salary that is

Delta s attempted method of dissolution would have ultimately lost because of two factors: 1) lack of
understanding of the Spanish culture and preference, as well as, 2) their lack of restaurant experience.
Further, it would decrease the chances of future successes in Spain since their dissolution strategy will
certainly be known across many industries and political networks. This would make Delta s ability to
establish new contacts, find and purchase property, apply for a food license, hiring qualified local
managers, gaining new customers and opening new stores a difficult and costly undertaking.
As stated by Costas, Delta has insufficient capital for its planned expansion (BRS p.12) which is
required if it was to venture on its own in Spain. No longer having a partner, Delta would be required
to put up 100% of the costs necessary to expand the business, rather than the 50% previously required.
Without the contacts Terralumen has, these costs would likely rise as well. The real estate market
requires extensive knowledge, and without this knowledge, they will likely pay a large premium.

Hydrogen Fusion Research Paper

12. Why do thermonuclear reactions in the Sun take place only in its core? Thermonuclear reactions
take place when the nuclei of atoms are fused together due to extreme temperatures (G 13). The
temperature of the Suns core is 15.5 X 10^6 and at temperatures above 10 X 10^6 hydrogen fuses into
the element helium (hydrogen fusion). Therefore the core is the only place on the Sun where
Thermonuclear reactions are able to take place. Additionally the fusion that occurs in the Suns core is
enough to account for all of the energy that is emitted to the Sun (326).

Blood Splatter Inaccurate Evidence
Crime investigation is a tricky thing. Often times there s piles upon piles of evidence, but sometimes
there s nothing but a crimson smear on the back of a couch. The process can take years too, due to
insufficient evidence. But what if there was a way to make it easier? With a drop of blood scientists
can paint whole pictures. If blood can do so much with so little, it s crazy to say it s not valuable
evidence in a crime scene.
Blood splatter can verify the position of the people involved in the crime, as well as give clues on how
people were injured or died. Mainly, blood splatter eliminates many possibilities. It can show injuries
the victim had, what happened as they were dying, and the angle the crime happened at (McShane) To
further add on, blood splatter produces spines when dropped. Scientists determined that counting the
spines determine what height and speed the blood fell down at (Powell). This can prove invaluable in
crime. Not only does the blood splatter eliminate ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

How Is Aerial Portrayed In The Little Mermaid
The Little Mermaid is a fairy tale that was written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1836 and then
remade by Disney in 1989, which turned out to be a popular animated film targeted for young,
juvenile children, specifically girls. The Little Mermaid is about a fifteen year old mermaid, named
Aerial, who was willing to give up her family, voice and tail to win over a man, Prince Eric. Watching
The Little Mermaid as a kid, I loved the movie. I never seen any negatives until watching it again as
an adult. It characterizes how women are viewed in today s society. In The Little Mermaid, Aerial is
characterized for her appearance and beautiful singing voice. Throughout the film, we learn that Aerial
changes her appearance against her father s wishes all for the marriage of a man. Aerial gave up her
voice and her mermaid tail to the sea witch, Ursula, for a man that she fell in love with. The Little
Mermaid is about doing whatever it takes to make dreams come true for girls but shows it negatively
because Aerial alters her body to please a man. The princess stories in the folk fairy tales are full of
symbolism and portray a gritty, harsh world to reinforce the cautionary aspects of the tales being told.
The Disney version of the Princess story shies away from cautionary story elements and centers on the
dreams and ideals. (Bethmann 7) With the audience and popularity targeted by children, The Little

Another limitation of guerilla warfare in the Sierra Maestra was the inability to attack and occupy major cities such as Havana and Santa Clara, which would have sped up the ... NLBA gave balance of protection to undocumented workers the same as U.S. citizens. Since back pay or reinstatement is not a remedy the NLRB to correct violations, this gives employers an incentive to violate the IRCA. The purpose of the Immigration Reform and Control Act is to make it a violation of the law to hire an employee not authorized to work in the United States. However enforcement of this law until recent years has not been robust. The court system or congress will need to fix these loopholes in the current laws to close these gaps. The way the law is created at this time gives an unfair advantage to employers who want to ignore current immigration laws. Undocumented workers can be paid lower wages and place in unsafe working conditions without any way to find remedy for those violations under the current law. The current law does not allow for undocumented immigrant protection from discrimination and labor relations violations. It is an economic disadvantage for employers to follow current immigration laws (Layne, 2011). • 7. David Role Model Lastly, I find David as an important role model in the Old Testament, as well as Abraham because he was a King, a man after God s own heart, a unifier, a warrior, and a man with great flaws. David had it all, musical talent, physical strength, and boundless bravery. David reigned as king of Israel for forty years, dying at age 70 in 837 BCE. His first and foremost drive was to have a relationship with God. David was chosen especially by God, for the Lord commanded Samuel to look for him saying, Do not consider his appearance or his height (1 Samuel 16:7). Upon Samuel s anointing of David, the scripture notates, And from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came upon David in power (1 Samuel 16:13). David was also known as a great conqueror, as in the incident with Goliath when he makes a great triumph by cutting off Goliath s head with Goliath s own sword. Vaccines are injections we receive from the moment we are born and throughout our lives that are meant to keep our bodies from contracting various. A baby born in a hospital today can be given up to six shots before the mother is even in a place where she can conciously tell the doctor whether she is okay with that or not. It can take years to become aware of, but the early exposure to the unnatural substances that make up vaccines can lead to a disorder called autism. While many Americans view vaccines positively for their adequate ability to prevent illness, the rise of autism in the nation and its link to vaccines is reason enough to try to change our tactics for trying to stay healthy. Autism is a developmental disorder with symptoms including defects in coordination and motor skills, visual disturbances, and immune suppression. What researchers like Larry Trivieri Jr. have realized over the last decade is these symptoms are extremely similar to the effects of mercury poisoning. Mercury makes up 50% of Thimersal, a preservative found in vaccines; The increases in the occurrence of autism are closely linked to the widespread use of thimersalcontaining vaccines, says Trivieri. • 10. Analyzing the Success of Quentin Tarantino s Films Quentin Tarantino s films have helped to redefine cinema. His postmodern approach, creative writing, and extensive knowledge of films and music have helped Tarantino to develop a unique style that has allowed him to stand out among his peers. In Pulp Fiction (1994), Tarantino establishes several directorial trademarks that would come to be used in his later works and can clearly be seen throughout the film. Furthermore, Tarantino s use of mise en scene helps to strengthen and establish mood and setting. Tarantino not only directed Pulp Fiction (1994), but he also co wrote the screenplay and played a role within the film. During the course of a film s production, a director is charged with guiding the actors in performance, determines the staging of the action, supervises all aspects of shooting, and works with the producer, writer, and designer before production and with the film and sound editors after production to ensure consistency and excellence of the movie as well as the best possible use of personnel, materials, and resources provided by the producer (Mast Kawin, 2003, p. 681). Tarantino s hands on approach in making his films ensure that he is involved in many, if not all, aspects of the production of his films. There are also many others that contribute to the creation and production of a film including an art director and production designer. One of the gravimetric analyses is the precipitation; it is a method of separating the analyte from the unknown sample as a precipitate where it will be filtered and converted into a known composition that can be weighed to determine its mass (Skoog et al, 2013). Determining the mass of calcium by using gravimetric analysis was the objective of the experiment. A 25 mL of unknown sample was used to analyze its calcium component. The remaining solid from the beaker will be transfer to the funnel by adding 3mL of ice cold water to the beaker. We made sure that all of the precipitate has been transferred. After that, we used 10 mL of ice cold water to rinse each beaker and pour the washings over the precipitate. We transferred the precipitate in to the petridish, but before that we weighted first the petridish with the filter paper so that we can get the grams of the CaC2O4 2H2O precipitate later. We dried the precipitate in an oven set at 105oC for 1 hour. After that, we placed it inside the desiccator for 30 minutes to cool down the heat. Then instantly we weigh the petridish with CaC2O4 2H2O precipitate. In order to get the weight CaC2O4 2H2O precipitate, we subtracted the mass of the petridish alone from the mass of the petridish with CaC2O4 2H2O precipitate. The poverty level in the city is one of the highest in Massachusetts, violent crime has been on the rise for years, and the high school dropout rate is more than 50 percent. Growing up, many of my classmates struggled with schoolwork as a result of the language barrier and lack of funding for transitional bilingual education programs. Countless children, with limitless potential, eventually learned to see the futility in participating in a system which had abandoned them. Although the motive of the book was to explore both sides of the dilemma in a neutral manner, Colson fails to offer an equally balanced content. This approach would come with a lot of obstacles such as higher costs, possibility of a lower valuation One of the biggest barriers from GMCR s standpoint is that they realize they can possible build up sales and marketing for the Keurig system once they start producing and endorsing the product. Our strengths, weakness, obstacles and threat analysis (SWOT) gives us a tangible picture of company direction and assists in maintaining a competitive edge moving forward. However, the level of strategic design for the global expansion efforts discussed today, will include a level of complexities in planning, pertaining to the industry type and the major competitors introduced. We will be examining Netflix Inc. and its international/global operations expansions abroad. Netflix Inc. s company profiles indicates that its international market is responsible for 27% of the company s revenue, and the expectation of expansion would increase the international market performance revenue to 80%, as revenue is slowing down domestically (Scott, 2014). According to Business Journal, Netflix Inc. has decided to accelerate its market, with additional global expansions, in the area of internet TV, to at least 200 more countries, in approximately two years, ( Netflix expansion to China, 2015 ) In this examination, we will include a tone that places emphasis on sales and continual development of viable product and innovations, which has already positioned the brand in the lead position of an extremely competitive domestic industry. Taking insight from George Stark s, Curveball Strategies to fool the competition, we will have a strategy aimed at winning customers, not by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A Short Note On The Constellation Of Cancer Cancer (constellation) ♋ The constellation of Cancer is one of the 88 modern constellations: located between the constellations Leo, Hydra and Gemini at between 07h 55m 19.7973s and 09h 22m 35.0364s right ascension and 33.1415138° and 6.4700689° declination. It is also one of the 12 Zodiac constellations and one of the original 48 listed by the ancient Greek astronomer Ptolemy. Its name is Latin for crab and its astrological symbol is ♋, which represents crab pincers. This constellation attracted my interest because it contains a galaxy with a binary supermassive black hole system: OJ 287. The constellation of Cancer as it can be seen in the sky. In the mythology of The Twelve Labours of Heracles (or Hercules in Roman mythology) Cancer is a crab sent by Hera to hinder Heracles in his fight against Hydra. Depending on the version of the story Heracles either kicks Cancer so hard that the crab is stuck amongst the constellations, or he just crushes Cancer by stomping on it and Hera places it in the sky for its bravery, but not in a bright part of the sky because it did not complete its task (Cancer has only two stars brighter than the 4th magnitude). Magnitude levels are levels of brightness, with lower numbered levels being brighter than higher number levels (e.g. a magnitude level 1 is brighter than a magnitude 2). Some sources say that cancer was a late addition to the story and that it was only included to make the 12 zodiac signs coincide with the 12 Labours. A pot ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 30. Catastrophism for uniformitarianism can be seen in rocks, sediment, and even in fossil records (Baker, 1998). The earth has different layers, and different things are buried within those layers. People who adhere to the old earth secular view believe that different layers of rock and sediment were formed over many years. Since some areas of the earth have many different layers, it makes sense that it would have taken a long time to form. Other evidence exists with fossils (Baker, 1998). There are many different species of animal that currently live on earth. However, fossils show evidence of other species that are not currently alive. In addition, fossils are buried in patterns that correspond to different time periods (Baker, 1998). They hypothesize that species change over time through the process of evolution. Different fossil records provide evidence for the theory of biological evolution (Baker, 1998). Although ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Rather than assuming that physical laws always operated as they currently do, some people think that the earth operated differently in the past. More specifically, they think that there were frequent major catastrophes, and that those instances are what caused fossils and rocks to form in the way they did (McClure, 2009, p. 191). Since such catastrophes happened relatively fast, it has led some people to conclude that the earth is not as old as scientists think it is (McClure, 2009). Catastrophism also offers an explanation for fossil records. Different species may be in different geological strata as a result of major floods (McClure, 2009). Rather than being in a specific layer of rock as a result of living during a time period, some people think that fossils are in certain layers of rock as a result of major floods. Water levels rise and fall during floods, which is what some people have offered as an explanation for why there are different layers of rock and different fossils that correspond to ... Crane and Matten (2010) argue After all, despite many years of business ethics being researched and taught in colleges and universities, ethics problems persist and the public remains sceptical of the ethics of business . The big problem we face is that ethical standards are declining because of insider trading of stocks and bonds, bribery, falsifying documents, deceptive advertising, defective products, employee theft and questionable activities (Ferrell, Fraedrich, and Ferrell, 2001). So why, do businesses continue to make these unethical decision when we universities teach ethics? This competitive mentality introduces the startling correlation between mental health and the legal profession, and how the urge to be the best doesn t always end when the court is adjourned. Every day, lawyers have to juggle the immense burden of pressure placed on them by their colleagues, clients, and courtroom dramas; while this rather strenuous job does lend its way to alcoholism and other means of coping, there are more effective ways of dealing with it, like first admitting that you have a problem and finding someone who can help you. Alcoholism, a psychological disorder usually associated with alcohol addiction/abuse in general, is by far the most prevalent mental health issue in several high pressure careers across the country (Alcohol Abuse and Dependence, par. 1). Many well respected doctors, politicians, and athletes have confessed to being tempted by the appropriately titled demon in a bottle at some point in their careers. In many cases, it can be fought back with self regulation, outside intervention, and in the worse possible scenario, withdrawal. However, alcoholism factors much differently into the world of law, and in this case, different can be deadly. Success is held to a different standard for the lawyer. Delta s attempted method of dissolution would have ultimately lost because of two factors: 1) lack of understanding of the Spanish culture and preference, as well as, 2) their lack of restaurant experience. Further, it would decrease the chances of future successes in Spain since their dissolution strategy will certainly be known across many industries and political networks. This would make Delta s ability to establish new contacts, find and purchase property, apply for a food license, hiring qualified local managers, gaining new customers and opening new stores a difficult and costly undertaking. As stated by Costas, Delta has insufficient capital for its planned expansion (BRS p.12) which is required if it was to venture on its own in Spain. No longer having a partner, Delta would be required to put up 100% of the costs necessary to expand the business, rather than the 50% previously required. Without the contacts Terralumen has, these costs would likely rise as well. The real estate market requires extensive knowledge, and without this knowledge, they will likely pay a large premium. • 38. Hydrogen Fusion Research Paper Page 335 12. Why do thermonuclear reactions in the Sun take place only in its core? Thermonuclear reactions take place when the nuclei of atoms are fused together due to extreme temperatures (G 13). The temperature of the Suns core is 15.5 X 10^6 and at temperatures above 10 X 10^6 hydrogen fuses into the element helium (hydrogen fusion). Therefore the core is the only place on the Sun where Thermonuclear reactions are able to take place. Additionally the fusion that occurs in the Suns core is enough to account for all of the energy that is emitted to the Sun (326). 13. What is hydrogen fusion? This process is sometimes called hydrogen burning . How is hydrogen burning fundamentally unlike the burning of a log in the fire place? Often times there s piles upon piles of evidence, but sometimes there s nothing but a crimson smear on the back of a couch. The process can take years too, due to insufficient evidence. But what if there was a way to make it easier? With a drop of blood scientists can paint whole pictures. If blood can do so much with so little, it s crazy to say it s not valuable evidence in a crime scene. Blood splatter can verify the position of the people involved in the crime, as well as give clues on how people were injured or died. Mainly, blood splatter eliminates many possibilities. It can show injuries the victim had, what happened as they were dying, and the angle the crime happened at (McShane) To further add on, blood splatter produces spines when dropped. How Is Aerial Portrayed In The Little Mermaid The Little Mermaid is a fairy tale that was written by Hans Christian Andersen in 1836 and then remade by Disney in 1989, which turned out to be a popular animated film targeted for young, juvenile children, specifically girls. The Little Mermaid is about a fifteen year old mermaid, named Aerial, who was willing to give up her family, voice and tail to win over a man, Prince Eric. Watching The Little Mermaid as a kid, I loved the movie. I never seen any negatives until watching it again as an adult. It characterizes how women are viewed in today s society. In The Little Mermaid, Aerial is characterized for her appearance and beautiful singing voice. Throughout the film, we learn that Aerial changes her appearance against her father s wishes all for the marriage of a man. Aerial gave up her voice and her mermaid tail to the sea witch, Ursula, for a man that she fell in love with. The Little Mermaid is about doing whatever it takes to make dreams come true for girls but shows it negatively because Aerial alters her body to please a man. The princess stories in the folk fairy tales are full of symbolism and portray a gritty, harsh world to reinforce the cautionary aspects of the tales being told. The Disney version of the Princess story shies away from cautionary story elements and centers on the dreams and ideals.
