Bilingualism is a very debated concept today. The idea of bilingualism varies from person to
person. For known poet MartГn Espada, bilingualism allows a sense of identity for multiple

obligation. Bilingualism is a right all citizens should have. Yet, citizens of the United Statesface
discrimination every day for their ability to speak multiple languages. Espada views
bilingualism as a sense of identity which is being taken away by English speakers. He explains
