The study conducted in June 2015 surveyed 613 marketing and IT decision-makers to assess the status of digital business transformation in German companies, focusing on its understanding, relevance, and challenges. Results indicated that digital business transformation is primarily viewed as the digitalization of corporate processes and new business model development, with a notable gap in strategic implementation, especially in smaller companies. The report provides recommendations for initiating digital transformation strategies, emphasizing the importance of leadership commitment and defining key performance indicators.
