Mahindra World City has been one of the
pioneering SEZ‟s in Chennai with over
600 acres. Within this SEZ, a fully
fledged Research Facility has been
planned complete with Residential
Program required to support Mahindra
Research Valley‟s staff. This 27 acre
Master Plan has been designed in
phases to incorporate MRV‟s
research staff as well as some additional
hostel type units on site.
A unique approach to the design has
been adopted, whereby the notion of
creating an „urban street‟ in this vastly
suburban has been attempted. Further
the arrangement of buildings in loops or
streets, allows us to not only create the
vibrancy along the inner rings of these
streets, but also allows for neat
segregation of pedestrian and vehicular
traffic. The use of carefully interspersed
green spaces facilitates varied green
programs within the master plan

The combination of function and quality of
life played an important role in the design
of the “Ground Plane”

Use of terraces and open spaces, even at
higher levels of the buildings to break up
the façade for ventilation & aesthetic

The campus when complete will achieve
a LEED Gold Rating
